A Driver Rams His Car Into Pedestrians In Suspected East Jerusalem Terror Attack

"In the postmortems of the terrorist car attacks in Jerusalem, it is easy to see the writing on the wall.

"Ibrahim al-Akary, the terrorist who on Wednesday ran over crowds of people waiting to cross the street and catch the Jerusalem Light Rail, was the brother of one of the terrorist murderers freed in exchange for IDF hostage Gilad Schalit. He had placed the photograph on his Facebook page of Moataz Hejazi, the terrorist killed by police after shooting Yehuda Glick outside the Begin Heritage Center last Wednesday.

"A few days before Abdur Rahman Slodi got into his car and mowed down three-month-old Chaya Zissel Braun and a dozen other pedestrians two weeks ago, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas exhorted the Palestinians to prevent Jews from visiting the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, by all means possible.

"Slodi had served time in prison for terrorist offenses and was active on social media where he expressed murderous hatred for Jews and a desire to kill them." Full article

... "Despite the glaring contradiction between divinity and monstrosity, the fact is that IS justifies every single one of its atrocities with verses from the Koran.

"IS referred to its sex slave market in Raqqah for instance as the “Booty Market… for what your right hands possess.”

"The phrase “what your right hands possess” is a Koranic verse (4:3) that permits the sexual enslavement of women and girls by Muslim men.

"Whether it is mainstream Islamic jurisprudence or not to embrace the enslavement of women and girls as concubines is not a question that Obama – or any US leader for that matter – is equipped to answer. And yet, Obama spoke with absolute certainty when he claimed that IS is not Islamic." ...Full article...

" ... they were assaulted, raped and beaten half to death by four Somali immigrants. Sweden’s largest newspaper has presented the perpetrators as “two men from Sweden, one from Finland and one from Somalia”, a testimony as to how bad the informal censorship is in stories related to immigration in Sweden. "  They were named Sven, Ole, Nils and Hans.

Althouse  ... "And he really didn't even answer that question. He turned it into the question: What are you going to do with the rest of your time?

"The other part of the question, the first part, was: "your party rejected you in these midterms...  they did not want you out on the campaign trail in these key battleground states. How do you account for that?" Obama blabbed so long on the reframed second part of the question that, I guess, he hoped we wouldn't notice that he never got around to that. But what would he have said? Those loser Democrats have their loss to themselves, so don't smear their loserhood onto me. I am the one the American people embraced heartily twice. They love me." ...

Letters to the Ayatollah: Obama’s ‘Keys to Paradise’

PJ Media
obama_strangelove_big_11-16-14-2
... "I admit I didn’t much care for Barack Obama before the revelation that he had secretly written Khamenei to induce the Iranian supreme leader to sign a nuclear deal in return for U.S. help battling ISIS.  Now I despise our president.  He is contemptible.

"Ayatollah Khamenei is a man who has been leading the massive chants of “Death to Israel” (and the Jews)  literally every day since 1979.  Only a true anti-Semite could attempt to make a secret deal with such a person.  Indeed, someone who would want to make a deal with Khamenei has about as much respect for human rights in general as Torquemada.  That person would have to be an unmitigated liar and sociopath.

"And such a person is our president, so desperate for an Iran deal he will literally do or say anything, so desperate to find some salvation for his failing presidency he will put not only Israel but the whole world at risk. It’s almost like a re-upped version of Dr. Strangelove with Peter Sellers as the ayatollah — he would have been great — and Obama himself riding the bomb at the end like Slim Pickens.  Bon voyage, Mitch McConnell…. Arrivederci, John Boehner….Hasta la vista, Tea Party.

"Maybe Obama should go to Qom himself and anoint Khamenei’s feet at the well of Jamkaran. ...

"Does Obama know that Khamenei was a leader of the Iranian military in their war with Iraq, when the Iranians force-marched eleven-year-old boys — holding plastic “keys to paradise” — across fields to clear them of mines in advance of their troops, killing thousands of the unwitting boys in the process? Who knows? But if Obama makes this deal with the Iranians, he better give us all plastic keys.

"It’s hard to know what motivates this man, our president, but it’s not so hard to know what motivates the gaggle of Jewish Democratic politicians — you know who you are… Chuck Schumer, Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Richard Blumenthal, Al Franken, Jerrold Nadler, Adam Schiff, etc., etc., who let him get away with that behavior and make a deal with a country that wants to eradicate Israel and then move on from there to whatever else is in sight (Yemen, these days). They are pathetic lackeys and careerists of the most slimey sort who would fit in well, as I said elsewhere, in Berlin, 1937.  Not a single one of them, as far as I know, said word one when the White House branded the prime minister of Israel a “chickenshit.” That was okay with them, I guess, as long as they could keep their offices on the right floors of the Senate and House office buildings.

"Oh, yes. They’re liberals. So Ayatollah Khamenei must be a poor, exploited victim of Western imperialism. Tell that to the boys with plastic keys."

Obama's America -just another dhimmi country - is a supplicant to Iran.

... "Mr. Obama’s push for a deal faces renewed resistance after Tuesday’s elections gave Republicans control of the Senate and added power to thwart an agreement and to impose new sanctions on Iran. Sens. Mark Kirk...and Robert Menendez ...have introduced legislation to intensify sanctions."...

NRO: Obama’s reassuring letter to Khamenei is only whetting the appetites of Iran’s
hardliners.   "November 24, the deadline for a nuclear deal with Iran, approaches, and things aren’t looking good. With less than three weeks left, Iran is adopting a hardline negotiating position. And although there’s time left to reach a good deal, President Obama’s current strategy is problematic."

Source says reported letter from Obama to Ayatollah ‘f***s up everything'  ..."A senior congressional source told Fox News that there is not anything definitive as to whether the letter even exists. But the source indicated they don't doubt that it's true because "we've seen [the president] do it before, so there is [a] precedent.' "  Video.

Ayatollah Khamenei Doesn’t Want To Be Pen Pals With Obama  "Mr. Khamenei never directly responded to the overtures, according to U.S. officials.
"Why wouldn’t Obama keep reaching out to Khamenei? It’s not like the guy is a Republican."

Commentary Magazine: Desperation Not a Good Negotiating Position  "Kerry’s meeting [with Iran] comes against the backdrop of an extraordinary interview he gave to the press from Paris:

“I want to get this done,” Kerry said during a series of meetings in which the Iranian negotiations figured prominently. “And we are driving toward the finish with a view of trying to get it done.” Kerry said Iran is entitled to develop its nuclear program for civilian, not military, use. “They have a right to a peaceful program but not a track to a bomb,” Kerry said. “We believe it is pretty easy to prove to the world that a plan is peaceful.”

Words and thoughts on the past election

Watch the Kool Aid Bowl at Salon.com    "Of course the punditocracy is already war-gaming the 2016 election, and the reliable latte-liberals of Salon.com are pointing out the obvious in “Mitch Is On Borrowed Time“: that the GOP will be defending many more Senate seats in 2016 than this year, and would easily lose the Senate.  Well, at least taxpayers aren’t paying for analysis this acute.

"But it’s worth reading all the way to the end for perhaps the Schadenfreudiest moment of the post-election liberal angst:" ...

The election autopsy   ... "Over at The New York Times opinion page, the left has taken to wagon circling, bias reinforcement, and the mockery of a set of American voters that were foolish enough to give Republicans power."
The NY Times article referred to the Republican advertising strategy as ..."nearly dimwitted, Goober-esque affectations" .TD

White House Turns to Sharpton on How To Work with GOP?   ..."As he’s enjoyed mentioning in the past, Sharpton has a direct line to the White House. He’s visited numerous times, trades daily emails with Ms. Jarrett. So when the Democrats went down to in flames three days ago, guess who President Obama met with the next day? Not Mitch McConnell, not John Boehner, not DNC Chairwoman (for nowDebbie Wasserman Schultz." ...

Obama: An Insufferable PEST  (Post-Election Stress Trauma.)  ... "It was painful to watch the petulant leader of such a great country contort the message of the midterm election results.  But we must empathize; after all, Obama is in the throes of the dreaded PEST."

Political Cartoons by Dana Summers

...And, you know, I wish they would stop calling this man -- I can't call him no president -- this man in the White House, the first black president, because he's not the first black president.  He does not have the same bloodlines that blacks in America have.  His bloodline is totally different from ours, in the way he is going about California, I'm talking about like Riverside, San Bernardino, Fontana, Ontario, LA, Bakersfield, everywhere blacks, no work, 'cause all the jobs he gave to illegal immigrants.  They got the jobs, and they got the money...

Michael Barone on The Shrinkage of the Obama Majority    ... "Democrats see themselves as the party of the future. But their policies are antique. The federal minimum wage dates to 1938, equal pay for women to 1963, access to contraceptives to 1965. Raising these issues now is campaign gimmickry, not serious policymaking." ...
... Democratic territory has been reduced to the bastions of two core groups — black voters and gentry liberals. Democrats win New York City and the San Francisco Bay area by overwhelming margins but are outvoted in almost all the territory in between — including, this year, Obama’s Illinois. Governor Jerry Brown ran well behind in California’s Central Valley, and Governor Andrew Cuomo lost most of upstate New York.
Take a look at who makes the big electoral difference in California:
The farmers and ranchers are in the red portion; those who pass the laws and regulations they must operate under -like making sure every chicken has six feet of space in it's coop -live in the blue area. Water usage in the red area is decided by those in the blue section. Nancy Pelosi and Jerry Brown are elected by blue voters. New York would be much the same .TD

PS: This argues for the electoral system of voting instead of the popular vote.

Krauthammer: Seize the day, control the agenda

Memo to the GOP. You had a great night on Tuesday. But remember: You didn’t win it. The Democrats lost it.

Charles Krauthammer

... "The defeat — “a massacre,” the Economist called it — marks the final collapse of Obamaism, a species of left liberalism so intrusive, so incompetently executed and ultimately so unpopular that it will be seen as a parenthesis in American political history. Notwithstanding Obama’s awkward denials at his next-day news conference, he himself defined the election when he insisted just last month that “these [i.e. his] policies are on the ballot — every single one of them.' ”..

Why The Dems Lost (Video)

Nice Deb   "When Republicans talk about improving their “brand” – they don’t mean changing their principles so they can be more palatable to certain constituencies that don’t traditionally vote Republican. They mean doing a better job reaching out and explaining their principles to those constituencies.

"Democrats, on the other hand, get by through stealth –  their “how can we fool them today?” M/O.
"The reason they have to rely on phony “War on Women”, class warfare, race-baiting tactics, is because when they tell the truth about their agenda, they are rejected. That can lead to uncomfortable moments on the campaign trail when the media actually does their job and holds them accountable.

"Keep in mind as you watch this, that these guys were the Democrats’ A team.

Sharpton: The voters really rejected Hillary, not Obama

Political Cartoons by Glenn Foden

Hot Air  ... "Sharpton’s outburst does indicate the extent to which Barack Obama’s stalwart allies will go to avoid casting blame for this historic loss on him, even if that means tarnishing the likely Democratic standard-bearer for 2016 in the process. The African-American community remains less “Ready for Hillary” than the rest of the Democratic coalition, and many resented Clinton’s efforts to distance herself from the president during her summer book tour.

"Sharpton’s throwing of Clinton under the bus is a demonstration of just how deep the fissures that are lingering beneath the Democratic Party’s placid façade go. By way of evidence, The Daily Kos – a reliable group of far-left liberals – determined that Sharpton’s attempt to place some of the blame for Democrats’ struggles at the polls amounted to “GOP spin.” " ...

Will Our 2016 Presidential Candidate Learn from the Duggars?

Lloyd Marcus  "My wife Mary told me about a TV show she loves to watch about the Duggar family, titled 19 Kids and Counting.

"Mary said she likes watching the show because the parents and their kids are wholesome and good.  Upon hearing how the family adheres to extremely old-fashioned traditional values, I thought, what planet are these people from?  How has the Duggar family escaped the left's 24/7 coarsening of our culture?
...
..."Everywhere you look, it appears that we are swiftly moving towards a godless anything-goes society.  Deviancy is celebrated as well as rude, crude, and bad behavior.

"Mary said she has read vile, disgusting, evil blog posts by leftists, expressing their great hatred for the Duggars.  This does not surprise me.  Many on the left have a war on the traditional family, God, and all things wholesome and good." ... _Full article

The strength of America is in the strength of our families.

IF OBAMA WAS A SMART POLITICAN AND A MAGNANIMOUS MENSCH, THEN THIS IS WHAT HE WOULD HAVE SAID TODAY:

The Astute Bloggers  "My Fellow Citizens,
Yesterday was not a defeat for me or the Democrat Party; it was a victory for America.

Once again we've shared our views in a vigorous debate full of the friendly fury free speech encourages, and the people have decided.

Some pundits and some politicians may claim we lost, but in a larger sense, we may have lost a few contests, but we won the larger war.

Yesterday, we won what some have called "the war on women." Though the GOP picked up some seats they picked them up by running MORE women then they had ever done before. As a result of the Democrat Party pushing the feminist issue, American now has more women in higher office than ever before - and that's good for America.

Some pundits complained that we "played the race card" too much the last 6 years. I disagree. I think that despite all the gains this nation has made since the 1960's, we forcefully brought the issue back into focus and as a result the GOP ran and elected more people of color than at any time since Reconstruction. This is good for America.

Some pundits claim we lost so many seats because most people feel our economy is still in the doldrums. There's always a lag-time between the real economy and how people feel about it. I am sure that in the next year - before the 2016 election begins - people will be forced to accept that we brought the economy back from the brink. That may be little too late for my colleagues who lost yesterday, but it will be a huge bonus for us in 2016. When so much more is at stake.

So though I am saddened to see so many friends leave, I am humbled and pleased that the progressive agenda of the Democratic Party has been so successful and that in a deeper sense we truly won the day.

I look forward to working with the new majority leader next year on a new agenda we can all embrace. Until then, there's a lot of work that needs to be done - this term, this week, this moment.

 Thank you, and good night."

"MAGNANIMOUS. HUMBLE. WHILE CLEVERLY STEALING THE FIRE FROM THE GOP.

"TOO BAD OBAMA IS NEITHER HUMBLE ENOUGH OR SMART ENOUGH TO MAKE SUCH A SPEECH. NOR ARE ANY OF HIS ADVISORS.

"HE IS A SHALLOW, MENDACIOUS EGOMANIAC. AND THEY ARE MERE SYCOPHANTS.

"OUR NATION DESERVES BETTER."

Obstructionist

But he still has two months to go. Be very afraid.

Commentary Magazine:   "Republicans–and some desperate Democrats who saw the writing on the wall–didn’t need anyone to tell them to make last night’s midterms about President Obama. His unpopularity was not in doubt, and his responsibility for manifold governmental failures over the last several years was undeniable. And yet, GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell still deserves a large share of the credit for what may seem like an obvious anti-Obama election. How McConnell outsmarted the president and saved the Senate (at least temporarily) is one of the midterms’ more fascinating subplots." ...
As Jonathan Tobin mentioned late last night, McConnell belongs at the top of the list of winners, while Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid is second only to Obama in the losers column.
