Liberals no longer interested in being "really nice people".

DISGUSTING! Leftists Fiercely Attack MLK III For Meeting With Trump  . . . "But while MLK III tried to bring about unity, that didn’t stop the left from attacking him personally.
Some twitter users went so far as to call him a “coon.' ” . . .

Bruce Springsteen cover band backs out of performing at Donald Trump's inauguration gala out of 'respect' for the Boss  " 'I'm so tired of all you entertainers using your so-called fame to express your political views. I could care less why you withdrew from playing, all I care about is that you did and are disappointing you fans!' Darren Stephan chimed in. "

Obama Missed Out On A Very Important Point From MLK…

Gee, I’m Starting to Think the Obama DOJ Just Might Be Politicized

Andrew C. McCarthy  . . . "I want to draw attention to a fact I did not dwell on in Wednesday’s column: The FBI is not authorized to seek a national-security surveillance warrant from the FISA court — just as it is not authorized to seek such a warrant from a U.S. district court in an ordinary criminal case. Only the Justice Department is permitted to do that. The FBI could not have sought FISA warrants against Trump without the Obama Justice Department’s approval and assistance."

Liberals caught plotting potential terror attack on Trump inaugural event in new Project Veritas video

Project Veritas  "In a new video published Monday by James Okeefe’s Project Veritas, a group of leftists reportedly with the DC Anti-Fascist Coalition actively plotting what appears to be a terror attack against a Trump inaugural event.
"According to Project Veritas:
A Project Veritas journalist was invited by email to a DC Anti-Fascist Coalition meeting, which took place at a residence in Washington D.C. The discussion centered around disrupting the “Deploraball”, a large pro-Trump event at the National Press Club in D.C. scheduled the night before the inauguration.
“It would be really something if we could stop them from having the Deploraball at all,” one activist says in the video.
After the initial meeting, the Project Veritas journalist joined the group at Comet Ping Pong, a pizza restaurant that is better known as the location of the Pizzagate controversy last year. The coalition members discuss the steps they would need to take to halt the Deploraball event.
The DC Anti-fascist coalition members present were Luke Kuhm, “Scott Green”, Colin Dunn, and Casey Webber." . . .

FBI’s James Comey Announces Team Hillary Obstructed in Email ‘Hacking’ Investigation

The Political Insider

"Democrats have quite the relationship with FBI Director James Comey. Once lauded for his decision to not criminally prosecute former Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, he became an easy target for blame by Clinton-insiders for his actions in the days before the November election.
"Comey had a rough year and has been silent during the transition process. But that just changed!
"Comey is now fighting back against attacks from Democrats, noting that the FBI actually asked for access to the “hacked” servers which had emails from campaign chairman John Podesta and other top Democrats. He tried to get to the bottom of it.
"It’s easy to understand Podesta’s thinking here, as the hacked servers were also the center of Hillary Clinton’s illegal use of private email accounts, and turning the server over to investigators could easily have exposed more of Hillary Clinton’s unethical fundraising for the Clinton Foundation.
"In addition, the DNC wanted to ensure the Russian narrative would stick and instead counted on private company Crowdstrike to track down the phishing assault that gave hackers access to Podesta’s email count." . . .

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

MLK Shoulders

Martin Luther King Day and Obama’s legacy  "Today is Martin Luther King Day. Some Americans still resent the fact that he received a holiday named in his honor. These people used to be called racist and likely they still exist. However, there is another group of people who resent Dr. King and they are accorded immunity from charges of racism according to contemporary bien pensants.  To understand why, listen to this podcast about King and his most famous speech provided by Patrick McLean.

"Mr. McLean's interpretation of this great speech truly magnifies Reverend King and puts the midget vertically challenged race hustlers like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and their ilk into proper perspective. More importantly, Black Lives Matter adherents are little more than street thugs, bullies and common criminals in comparison.

"I suppose that is what one gets when the country has been led for the last eight years by someone whose previous experience was that of Community Organizer and political hustler. Rabble-rousing and strong-arm tactics are not qualifications for the office of president. The current state of our country clearly shows that."

MLK’s niece: I voted for Trump  . . . "Obviously Evangelist King believes Mr. Trump will be a legitimate president.
"God bless her for the work she does and for not being afraid of the viciousness of the radical leftists who have co-opted the civil rights movement to further their anti-life, anti-family, libertine agenda.

Dr. King, Race Relations, and Obama’s Farewell Address "The president deserves credit for acknowledging American racial progress. But the societal problems his speech failed to mention are just as important." . . .

Andrea Bocelli backs out of Trump inauguration due to liberal death threats

Joe Newby  "Scratch a liberal, find a bloodthirsty hatemonger.  On Saturday, the UK Daily Mail reported that opera star Andrea Bocelli backed out of singing at Donald Trump’s inauguration after receiving death threats.
"According to the Daily Mail:
The revelation came as another singer – Broadway legend Jennifer Holliday – last night pulled out of the President-elect’s festivities after being threatened and branded an ‘Uncle Tom’.
When blind tenor Bocelli announced he would not sing at this Friday’s celebration, it was widely reported it was because fans had said they would boycott his concerts and records.
But a source said the 58-year-old had been determined to ‘press ahead’ and sing but had pulled out on the advice of his security team after receiving threats to his life.
A source close to Bocelli, a friend of Trump’s, said: ‘Andrea is very sad to be missing the chance to sing at such a huge global event but he has been advised it is simply not worth the risk.’

Diplomats flock to Paris for summit on Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Palestinians were seeing "their future state melt away" due to Jewish settlements, Ayrault said. In turn, Israelis suffered nearly daily violence by those who "harness frustrations to promote an agenda of hatred," he added.
Deutsche Welle  "Envoys from over 70 countries, including the US, have gathered in Paris to discuss the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. Israel's Netanyahu has slammed the meet as "rigged" against his country."

. . . "The Sunday conference also sends a symbolic message to the incoming US administration led by Donald Trump, who vowed to provide even stronger support to Israel. Trump has picked hardliner David Friedman as his ambassador to the Jewish state.
"Israel responded with outrage to the UN resolution and dismissed the Paris summit as "rigged by Palestinians."
"On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described it as "the last twitches of yesterday's world," hinting that his government was holding out for a US policy shift under Trump.
" 'The conference convening today in Paris is a futile conference," he told his cabinet." . . .

PA depicts a world without Israel

Palestinian religious leaders threaten religious war over Jerusalem

George Will: Academia may now be beyond satire

George Will  "The Chronicle of Higher Education, which is a window on the sometimes weird world of academia, recently revisited a hilarious intellectual hoax from 20 years ago. Reading the recollections of the perpetrator and of some who swallowed his gibberish is sobering.

"In 1996, Alan Sokal, a New York University physicist and self-described “academic leftist,” composed an essay that was a word salad of solemn academic jargon. He said he strove to be “especially egregious,” by maundering on about “the dialectical emphases” of “catastrophe theory” becoming a “concrete tool of progressive political praxis.” His essay’s gaudy title was: “Transgressing the Boundaries: Toward a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity.”
"He sent it to the left-leaning “cultural studies” journal Social Text, which swooned, perhaps in part because Sokal larded his nonsense with political tropes that are catnip to lettered leftists — “emancipatory mathematics,” “demystify and democratize the production of scientific knowledge,” “the crisis of late-capitalist production relations.” Soon after Social Text published his faux scholarship, Sokal revealed in another journal, Lingua Franca, that it was a parody.
"This would have been obvious to anyone whose intelligence had not been anesthetized by the patois of “deconstructionist” and “poststructuralist” professors. They move on to Nietzsche’s assertion that there are no facts, only interpretations, which he wrote shortly before going mad at age 44." . . .

Satellite Reveals End of “Unending” N. California Drought

Global Warming  "With more rain and snow on the way, the supposed “unending drought” that the New York Times reported on last year has, in a matter of weeks, ended — at least in Northern California.

"Yesterday’s color satellite imagery from NASA shows the dramatic changes which have occurred since the same date three years ago:
– Widespread and deep snowpack
– Greening vegetation
– Rivers overflowing their banks
– Strong river discharge into the Pacific Ocean
NASA Aqua MODIS color satellite imagery of N. California separated by exactly three years, showing dramatic snowpack increase, vegetation greening, and river discharge into the Pacific Ocean.
Here’s a zoomed version of the NASA Terra MODIS image yesterday covering the San Francisco Bay area northeastward toward Sacramento:
"The latest GFS model forecast for the next 10 days predicts another 2 to 10 inches of rain, depending on location, with several more feet of snow at higher elevations." . . .

Todd Starnes: Jennifer Holliday pulls out of inauguration; apologizes

Todd Starnes  "Tony-award winning singer Jennifer Holliday has decided not to sing at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration – caving in to significant pressure from gay and lesbian fans who were outraged by her decision to put patriotism over politics."
. . .
“ 'We’ve become such a polarized country – we’re not listening to what the Obamas have said,” she told the newspaper. “They told us to move forward with hope – they didn’t tell us to stop participating.”

"Ms. Holliday went on to say she was singing for the people – the nation.

“ 'I voted for Mrs. Clinton, and they knew that. But if someone wants me to sing a national anthem or something, we think about America, and we go,” she said.

"It wasn’t long before Ms. Holliday learned that the Trump Administration appreciates tolerance and diversity more than militant members of the LGBT community." . . .

What Went Wrong in US Higher Ed? Harvard Tells the Story

The Daily Signal

. . . "The American education system was established on the basis of objective truth—what was once called “capital T Truth.” But that firm grasp of objective truth has been replaced with moral relativism, and specifically, with secular humanism.

"As more colleges and universities were established in the 18th century, schools began to adopt new secular humanist ideas. The purpose and meaning of learning has changed from what it was in 1636 to a system that assumes the truth of secular humanism instead.

"Today, American universities, particularly Harvard and its sister Ivy League universities, have relinquished their role as mentors for students.

"For example, in 2013, nearly an entire government class at Harvard was caught cheating, and the professor and teaching assistant were partly to blame for the scandal. In 2015, a student at Yale University was called a “bigot” and pressured by peers to leave campus because of her conservative beliefs. In Florida, a humanities professor punished a student by giving her “zero” grades on assignments for refusing to agree with his humanist bias." . . .  Hat tip to Jeff Hayden; Plano, TX
