Getting Out of Dodge When Don Lemon Comes to Town

The New York Times reportedly forbids its reporters from appearing on both Maddow and Lemon’s programs, because they are considered too partisan even for the Times—which is often criticized for leaning left itself. (Fox News). “Accuracy in Media national editor Carrie Sheffield thinks the Times’ reportedly pulling back its journalists from appearing on Lemon’s show because of concerns of bias “should be a wakeup call to” everyone involved and the CNN anchor “should be striving for greater balance to give voice to a wider swath” of the American electorate.

Canada Free Press

. . . ” 'CNN announced on Monday that Don Lemon will follow in the footsteps of MSNBC’s far-left opinion host Rachel Maddow as a Democratic presidential primary debate moderator—and one critic called the decision a “disservice to voters all across the political spectrum.”
“In recent memory, Lemon has compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, then claimed he “didn’t mean” to compare the president and Hitler. He has also called Trump a “racist,” a “fraud,” “con man,” questioned whether or not the State of the Union should air on a delay to avoid “propaganda,” declared that he wouldn’t shake the president’s hand and questioned Trump’s mental fitness.
“Now Lemon—who Trump once called “the dumbest man on television”—will apparently be prominent when CNN has a chance to grill 2020 hopefuls. While MSNBC admits that Maddow is an opinion host, CNN has continued to label Lemon an “anchor” despite spouting anti-Trump opinions on a regular basis.
“Lemon has also suggested Trump doesn’t do enough work, speculated on whether or not the president lies about his weight, tied Trump to the college admissions cheating scheme and took a shot at Trump as he was giving his colleague Chris Cuomo a brief tour of his new studio, suggesting that the president can’t afford such a lavish space since he isn’t a “real billionaire.”“Lemon initially gained broadcasting prominence as a news anchor, covering breaking news and reporting from the scene of major stories, but DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall recently told Fox News that Lemon is no longer a news anchor in the traditional sense because of his partisan rhetoric." . . .Debate moderators are historically straight-news journalists, as opposed to partisan pundits, but CNN’s decision mirrors NBC’s strategy to allow Maddow to moderate last month’s Democratic Debate.”

Epstein, Bean & Buck: The Democratic Donors’ Sex-Creep Club

Rich Terrell
Michelle Malkin "Well, well, well. “Follow the facts,” Democratic strategist Christine Pelosi now advises fellow liberals in the wake of billionaire and high-flying political financier Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking indictment this week. Some of “our faves” could be implicated in the long-festering scandal, the Pelosi daughter warned, so it’s time to “let the chips fall where they may.”

"Too bad Ms. Pelosi’s mommy hasn’t adopted that same attitude of accountability. While serving as the highest-ranking elected woman in America for decades, San Fran Nan has chronically downplayed, whitewashed or excused the sleazy habits and alleged sexual improprieties of a long parade of Dem pervs — from former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner to former New York Reps. Eric Massa and Anthony Wiener to former Oregon Rep. David Wu to former Michigan Rep. John Conyers and current presidential candidate Joe Biden.

"Since the woke-ty woke Democrats are now gung-ho on undoing special treatment of wealthy liberal sex creeps, perhaps they will soon be revisiting the matter of two of their other “faves,” Oregon real estate mogul and deep-pocketed left-wing White House donor Terry Bean and West Hollywood Clinton pal Ed Buck.

"Here, let me help.

"Terry Bean is the prominent gay rights activist who co-founded the influential Human Rights Campaign organization. He is also a veteran member of the board of the HRC Foundation, which disseminates Common Core-aligned “anti-bullying” material to children’s schools nationwide.

"Like Epstein, Bean had a penchant for rubbing elbows and riding on planes with the powerful. Upon doling out more than $500,000 for President Barack Obama and the Democrats in 2012, he was rewarded with a much-publicized exclusive Air Force One ride with Obama. His Flickr account boasted glitzy pics with Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton.

"Like Epstein, Bean also had a thing for young minors. " . . .

Ilhan Omar calls for advertiser boycott against Tucker Carlson

Washington Examiner  "Rep. Ilhan Omar called for advertisers to boycott Fox News host Tucker Carlson after he offered her as an example of why the U.S. immigration system is dangerous.
" 'Fox News is now giving a nightly platform to white supremacist rhetoric. It’s dangerous. Advertisers should not be underwriting hate speech," the Minnesota Democrat said Wednesday on Twitter.  . . .
"Carlson said on his show Tuesday that America should "be grateful for Ilhan Omar" because she has demonstrated the flaws of the country's immigration system.
"The host pointed to a Washington Post piece where Omar slammed America as a "country that had failed" to live up to its promise.
" 'In Omar’s version, America wasn’t the bighearted country that saved her from a brutal war and a bleak refugee camp. It wasn’t a meritocracy that helped her attend college or vaulted her into Congress. Instead, it was the country that had failed to live up to its founding ideals, a place that had disappointed her and so many immigrants, refugees and minorities like her," the piece stated.
"Omar said that she felt it was up to her to "speak" about the country not guaranteeing justice to all.
"In 2017, Omar wrote a piece for Time in which she claimed America was " founded on genocide.'  . . ."

Show of hands: Who thinks CNN is protecting the 2020 Democrats?

Patriot Retort

"One of the most damaging moments from the first round of Democrat debates was when the moderators asked for a show of hands on a few positions.
"Like the “Show of hands:  Will your healthcare plan cover illegal aliens?”
"Or “Show of hands: Will your Medicare for All plan abolish private health insurance?”
"For voters, the show of hands questions were extremely enlightening (operative word here: extreme). It allowed voters to see, in one fell swoop, just where these candidates stood on some pretty unpopular issues.
"And, see. That right there is the problem.
"But don’t worry, folks! CNN is on the case!" . . .

Megan Rapinoe: The Sweetheart of CNN and MSNBC

. . . " the fun has been siphoned off and replaced with burning anger over issues unrelated to the game at hand. Today, at some point, half the crowd is likely to have ugliness rubbed in their faces as the other half cheers."  Richard Jack Rail*

They're watching ME!
Not since Barack Obama have we seen someone who adores her image as does Rapinoe. As was once noted about Obama, she loves to watch us watching her. TD

Like Kaepernick, Megan Rapinoe brings dishonor to her sport and to America
"Megan Rapinoe is so enamored of her own athletic prowess, she has somehow internalized the notion that we care what she thinks about the President, the anthem, the flag and the country.  As Silvio Canto wrote here on Wednesday, she seems to think her superior skill at soccer gives her the right to insult all the Americans with political views that differ from hers.
"Rapinoe demonstrated an embarrassing lack of class that contaminates her entire
Look at me! No flag respect, just a smirk
team.  She is a woman who never learned that a bit of grace is an infectious thing in a good way.  This, of course, makes her a hero to the hate-America left that populates CNN and MSNBC 24/7.  Her disdain for the country to them means she is presidential material!  Just ask Rachel Maddow.
"The Left is now officially insane.  This arrogant, disagreeable woman, Rapinoe, because she plays soccer well, thinks she has the right to trash everything and everyone she loathes.  As Rush suggested, she is likely angling for a hefty contract with Nike or some other sports mega-company that will throw millions of dollars at her to spew her venom.  It worked for failed NFL jerk Colin Kaepernick and Rapinoe checks off an additional box on the identity politics scale as a gay woman." . . .

Megan Rapinoe, the White House, and Trump’s Inability to Stick to the Script
. . .  "Since becoming president, Trump has veered off onto partisan rants about his political foes in the most unexpected and inappropriate places." . . .
The sweetheart of CNN and MSNBC
*Let sports be fun again  . . . "Whether you side with Rapinoe and/or Kaepernick isn’t the point. The point is that there was never sufficient reason to turn something fun and healthy into something hateful and ugly, for disrespecting the country that gave you birth, not on international television or on the field down the street. Even North Koreans love their country (if not their system) and they’re right to love their country. Imagine if you had been born there, or Rwanda, or anywhere else in the Third World. You might not have survived childhood. Yet you insult a country that made it possible for you to thrive." . . .

They should show respect for U.S. fans who don't like to see the flag disrespected
. . . "Let's hope the sponsors of the U.S. Soccer Federation remind the players that they sell lots of merchandise and products in the whole country, not just Los Angeles and San Francisco. "And should they go the White House?  I hope sanity prevails and they show up."
"As far as Megan, frankly, I don't give a damn."

Alicia Colon:
Purple-haired Never Trumpers are a real turn off.  "
I don't particularly care for soccer anyway but it was the purple-haired star player Megan Rapinoe who turned me off by spouting her disdain for any White House visit before she was even asked.

"Did she do that for publicity or was her Trump derangement too deeply entrenched? Stomping on the American flag even accidentally during the World Cup celebration was more proof of her unworthiness to represent our great country." . . .

Get Over Yourselves  . . . "The Women’s World Cup just ended and the team from the United States won. I didn’t say they were representing the United States because it doesn’t seem like they wanted to, they were representing themselves.
"Led by narcissist Megan Rapinoe, they beat up on teams with significantly less skill than they had and celebrated goals against them like they just cured cancer. It’s akin to me beating my 2-year-old in a game of Trivial Pursuit and screaming “In your face!” each time I won a piece of pie. When Alex Morgan scored against England in the semi-finals, she mocked her opponents by pretending to sip tea. Why? Arrogance. It was embarrassing and cheapened the victory."

Obama and Biden Flaunt U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Jerseys as the Team Shuns Trump White House  . . . "Barack Obama posted a photo of himself holding a jersey with his name on the back and the number “19.” The former president wrote “proud to rep America’s best team.” He added, “thanks for being such a strong inspiration for women and girls.' ” . . .

After yelling about inclusion, women's World Cup team excludes only black player for her Christian faith

Monica Showalter  "Making the words "F*** Trump" its battle cry, its rebel yell to rally itself, the women's World Cup team comes with a lot of wokeness. According to the Washington Times:
The World Cup team’s activism is well established. Team captain Megan Rapinoe, who calls herself a “walking protest” against the Trump administration, accused President Trump of “excluding people” in a Tuesday interview on CNN.
“Your message is excluding people. You’re excluding me. You’re excluding people that look like me. You’re excluding people of color,” Rapinoe said in a message to the president.
"Weird thing to say to a president who invited her to the White House, win or lose, but the hypocrisy doesn't stop there.
"Here's the doozy the Washington Times based its piece on:
Jaelene Hinkle, a 26-year-old star for the North Carolina Courage professional team, has been called the top left defender in the U.S. game, but she wasn’t selected for the national team — a decision that may have had more to do with politics than prowess.
In 2017, Hinkle turned down a call-up from the national team for a pair of international friendlies after learning that the players would wear rainbow-themed jerseys in honor of Gay Pride Month. She said later that the uniform conflicted with her Christian faith.
“I just felt so convicted in my spirit that it wasn’t my job to wear this jersey,” she told “The 700 Club” in a May 2018 interview. “I gave myself three days to just seek and pray and determine what [God] was asking me to do in this situation.”
Hinkle has not played for the national team since. After she was left off the World Cup roster, coach Jill Ellis told reporters that the decision was “solely based on soccer,” an explanation greeted with widespread skepticism.
"So inclusion means everyone except Christians gets invited to the party to play, is that it? "Sounds like this team was a hard little clique of intolerant leftists and the cohesion of their political views was so important to them that the inclusion of a Christian would have spoiled the whole thing. " . . .

The ESPN account:  . . . "A defender, Hinkle plays for the North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League. The Courage visited the Portland Thorns on Wednesday night, and there were boos heard when she was announced in the starting lineup. Some waved rainbow Pride flags." . .    Wonder what she thinks of Meg Rapinoe
U.S. women's team snub of Christian player roils soccer . . . "Conservative pundit Erick Erickson said Monday that she was “shoved aside” in a sport known for “feminist virtue signaling,” while The Irish Times ran the June 12 headline “Religious clash leaves USA’s
Jaelene Hinkle
best left back an observer of World Cup bid.”

“You do have a very activist team. It’s very much a part of the program,” said John Stonestreet, president of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview in Colorado Springs, Colorado. “And if we were talking about just any player, it wouldn’t be really clear, but just because of her abilities — Jaelene Hinkle is a heck of a player — it makes it that much more suspect.”
"He said the episode offered a warning to Christians seeking to live out their faith while pursuing their professional dreams: Chances are that they, too, will face a choice. It could be whether to wear the jersey. It could be whether to bake the cake." . .  .

John 15:18-25; Jesus tells his disciples shortly before His crucifixion:

18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’[a] If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.

Guest candidates for CNN, Colbert and other TV talk shows

Beto O’Rourke Trashes America: ‘This Country Was Founded On White Supremacy’ And Still Influenced By Jim Crow
Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke: “This country was founded on white supremacy and every single institution and structure that we have in this country still reflects the legacy of slavery and segregation and Jim Crow and suppression even in our democracy”

Desperate 'Beto' reaches new depths in pandering to the Left
Yesterday, he went from ridiculous to despicable, disparaging the country of his birth that has showered wealth, privilege, and fame upon his fake-Hispanic self (hat tip: The Right Scoop).
Rapinoe, MAGA has nothing to do with looks, it's about putting Americans first
CNN again lets her play the old victim status symbol.

Add these to the list of President Trump's enemies  . . . "The president is making a stand against the invaders and those who support them in their effort to overrun the United States.  He is outnumbered.  Supporting the invasion:" . . .

Megan Rapinoe Smirks, Refuses to Put Hand over Heart During National Anthem at World Cup Parade

Captain Lookatmeee smirks
"Women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe smirked and refused to put her hand over her heart when the national anthem played during the World Cup victory parade in New York on Wednesday.
"The title-winning team stood as the parade down Manhattan’s Canyon of Heroes started, and most of Rapinoe’s teammates placed their hands over their hearts and sang the Star-Spangled Banner.
"But just as she did while in France over the last month during the Women’s World Cup games, Rapinoe stood defiantly with her hands clasped behind her back and a wide smirk across her face." . . .

Truthful statement, man. Like other self-described "victim" groups, they're full of mindless rage and an almost perverted self-adulation. Not all of them, mind you, but certainly the left-wing ones.

.Her very words: . . "Rapinoe said, “This is my charge to everyone. We have to be better. We have to love more, hate less. We’ve got to listen more and talk less. We’ve got to know that this is everybody’s responsibility.”
"She added, “There has been so much contention in these last years I have been a victim of that I have been a perpetuator of that.”
"Rapinoe ended her speech by saying, “New York City, you’re the motherf-ing best!” on live TV." . . .

CNN loves her.

Coulter: Get Acosta! But Get the Right Guy, Too

When Krischer, then Palm Beach state attorney, found out the target was Epstein, a big Democratic donor, he refused to prosecute. It was only because of Krischer’s active obstruction of the case that the Palm Beach chief of police, Michael Reiter, begged the FBI to intervene.  Acosta may have buckled in the end, but at the time, he was a knight in shining armor rushing in after Krischer killed the case.

Ann Coulter  "Now that the media is finally, at long last, interested in the 2006 Jeffrey Epstein child sex case, perhaps we can get an answer to the most intriguing question: Why does he keep escaping justice on essentially the same child molestation charges?
"The only reason for the media’s flood-the-zone coverage of Epstein — 13 years late — is that they think they’ve found a Trump connection. Oh happy day. (Trump was friendly with Epstein 15 years ago — before banning him from Mar-a-Lago for life after he hit on a young girl working there.)
"The main hook is: Trump’s Labor secretary, Alex Acosta, accepted a disreputable plea deal with Epstein while serving as a U.S. attorney under President Bush. If fixating on Acosta is what it takes to keep this case from being brushed under the rug (again), then I guess you can have him.
"But just between us, Acosta’s not the real villain.
"It’s easy to forget, but Epstein’s arrest this week marks the third attempted prosecution of him for sex with underage girls.
"It’s certainly been easy for the media to forget! In the New York Times’ version of events — and that of every other news outlet — the Palm Beach police discovered Epstein was paying minor girls from West Palm Beach for sex … and then took the case straight to the FBI!
"That seems odd: Why wouldn’t police bring their case to the local prosecutor, who was overseeing the investigation and issuing subpoenas?
"Because they did.
"Unfortunately, the local prosecutor in this case was a sleazebag, activist Democrat named Barry Krischer." . . .

Memo to Kaepernick: Read More Frederick Douglass

American Greatness

"Many observers were quick to correct Colin Kaepernick’s recent selective quoting from Frederick Douglass’s speech, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” They were right to do so. Misrepresenting anyone’s words in the manner that Kaepernick did breaks one of the first rules of good writing.
"In spite of his error, thanks are due as well to him for bringing attention to a very fine speech that all Americans should read. Another of Douglass’s speeches that I urge Mr. Kaepernick and others to read addresses the great document that stands next to the Declaration of Independence: the United States Constitution.
"Douglass, born into slavery, escaped and purchased his freedom with the help of others who raised funds. He eventually moved to Rochester, New York and worked to end slavery by helping people reach freedom on the Underground Railroad, supporting anti-slavery political parties, and publishing his own antislavery newspaper, The North Star. It was at the invitation of the Rochester Ladies Anti-Slavery Society that he appeared on July 5, 1852 to deliver the Independence Day speech. The circumstances for his speech on the Constitution were very different. The title of the speech is in the form of a question: “The Constitution of the United States: Is It Pro-Slavery or Anti-slavery?
"After Douglass’s escape from slavery he worked with the Anti-Slavery Society founded by William Lloyd Garrison. The American Anti-Slavery Convention convened in 1833 in Philadelphia to address the enslavement of one-sixth portion of the American people. They looked back 57 years to 1776 and acknowledged the effort to deliver America from a foreign yoke, stating that the Temple of Freedom was founded on the principles of the Declaration—that all men are created equal and that they are endowed by the Creator with certain inalienable rights." . . .

Dolly Parton Denies Senator Elizabeth Warren Permission to Use '9 to 5'

TooFab  "Dolly Parton wants to stay far away from politics.
"The country legend's manager has revealed Senator Elizabeth Warren asked for — and did not get — permission to use her song "9 to 5", which she did anyway at a town hall meeting in New York City on Friday.
" 'We did not approve the request, and we do not approve requests like this of (a) political nature," Danny Nozell, told The Associated Press.
"The CTK Management CEO did not say whether he was pursuing the matter formally.
