Chuck Todd Mocks ‘40 Percent of the Country’ That Ignores ‘Reality’

MRC  "As NewsBusters has previously reported, Meet the Press host Chuck Todd had a combative exchange with Republican Senator Ron Johnson Sunday; where the supposedly “objective” NBC News political director put his liberal bias on full display. Shortly after wrapping up the interview with Johnson, Todd rapidly transformed into a lapdog when interviewing former CIA Director John Brennan. Todd encouraged Brennan into advancing the narrative that America has lost its “stability” as a democracy and worried about the 40 percent of Americans who are ignoring “reality.”
"Todd sympathized with Brennan; telling him “You have been completely character assassinated and eviscerated.” For his part, Brennan slammed President Trump for his “dishonesty and his complete obliteration of the norms of honesty in terms of his public statements” and referred to him as a “bully.' ” . . .

READ: White House letter to Pelosi rejecting cooperation in impeachment inquiry

The Hill  "The White House on Tuesday sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other top Democrats saying it would not cooperate with their impeachment inquiry into President Trump over his dealings with Ukraine.
"Accusing Pelosi and her colleagues of "seeking to overturn the results of the 2016 election," White House counsel Pat Cipollone in his letter said Trump and members of his administration "cannot participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances" but stopped short of calling for the House to hold a vote on impeachment.

Trump Administration Orders EU Ambassador Not to Testify in Impeachment Probe

. . . "However, as many conservative outlets stressed, the transcript of the phone call with Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shows Trump did not threaten to withhold aid. Zelensky has confirmed no one pressured him into starting an investigation."

Democrats Constructing Impeachment Star Chamber of Whistleblowers and Leakers
Weaponization of whistleblower laws is yet another breach of norms in an effort to unwind the 2016 election and manipulate the 2020 election.
Democrats must honor the Constitution and the rule of law more than they hate this President. They fail in this. TD

"Circulating claims of Trump-Russian collusion prior to the 2016 election didn’t work.
Using foreign-supplied fake intelligence, from a British spy who utilized Russian sources, to obtain surveillance of the Trump campaign and transition team didn’t work.
"Intimidating Electoral College Electors to change their votes after the election didn’t work.
Having the Director of the FBI lie to, set up and try to entrap the president didn’t work.
"Having that same FBI Director leak memos to the media to manufacture grounds for a Special Counsel didn’t work.
"Trying to invoke the 25th Amendment to declare the president unable to perform the job didn’t work.
"Two years of the Mueller Investigation didn’t work.
"Three years of a permanent crisis news cycle meant to paralyze the administration didn’t work.
"After all these failures to unwind the 2016 election, Democrats and the mainstream media are trying a new tactic: Create a Star Chamber “impeachment” process fueled by anonymous whistleblowers and selective leaks that is not so much designed to remove the president, though they would if they could, but to manipulate the 2020 election." . . .

Not a president in a carload

Don Surber

"Old Gold cigarettes once bragged in advertisements, "Not a cough in a carload." It meant not a cough would be found in a boxcar of Old Golds. That may be true, but each carload contains plenty of cancer.

"In looking at the panorama of the Democrat candidates at ABC's debate, I noticed 2 things were missing.

  1. An American flag.
  2. An American president.
"These were the top 10 candidates. None had served as a governor. One was a mayor. Another had been a minor cabinet member. I am not sure exactly what the private sector guy does besides remind everyone at every opportunity that his parents are from Taiwan, which he says makes him good at math.

"And then there's Joe, whose fifth-place finish in the 2008 race landed him the role of comic relief in the Obama regime. He's now the leading candidate -- or was until Democrats threw him overboard in their latest attempt to stage a coup against President Donald John Trump.

"The lack of executive experience is a handicap when going against someone with more than 40 years of experience as a CEO. He has built towers, and is now building a wall.

"Most observers believe impeaching President Trump will doom the Democrat nominee." . . .

An ugly horde of female protesters target Judge Kavanaugh and Senator Mitch McConnell...again

Complete with the old familiar 'Hey, hey, ho-ho! Blah, blah-blah, blah-blah, blah, blah!"

M. Catharine Evans  . . . This grotesque absurdity continued when Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick, who was once represented by creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti, took the stage as the trained seals chanted, "We believe you."

"Besides accusing Justice Kavanaugh of being "a rapist," many protesters carried signs supporting a woman's right to abortion.  One even read, "Abort Trump."  Having unrestricted access to abortion and upholding Roe v. Wade seem to lie at the center of the Kavanaugh character assassination.
"With both of President Trump's appointees, Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, set to hear their first major abortion case (no date set yet), we can be certain that the protest organizers will be gearing up for more harassment, hounding, and lawlessness in D.C."

In-N-Out Burger Joins Chick-Fil-A As A Company That Openly Celebrates Its Christian Values

RedState  . . . "While John 3:16 has been printed on their cups for years, Snyder decided the company should have more Bible verses on its products in order to share more of the messages it has to impart. This now includes Proverbs 24:16 and Luke 6:35.
“It was my uncle Rich who put the Bible verses on the cups and wrappers in the early ‘90s, just before he passed away,” she told the Christian Post. “He had just accepted the Lord and wanted to put that little touch of his faith on our brand. It’s a family business and will always be, and that’s a family touch. In later years, I added verses to the fry boat, coffee, and hot cocoa cups.”
"It’s not just the printing of verses on containers that Snyder is satisfied with. She told The Christian Post that she’s also started an organization called “Army of Love,” which helps those who are in emotional need just like she was when her third marriage was falling apart:" . . .

Trump is all that stands between the America we cherish and the left’s policies for “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

Impeaching Trump is their way of telling us to get in line, or else.  If you think of Trump, not as Trump, but as one of us, it becomes clear.  Destroying him is a way of telling us, “You’re next.”   William L. Gensert
After Trump, We’re Next  . . . "Trump is all that stands between the America we cherish and the left’s policies for “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”  They know that for us, 2020 is a “Flight 93” election and impeaching Trump on what is the thinnest of gruel, and arguably the finest example of projection today, is a last-ditch effort to either depose him or damage him enough politically to make him unelectable come next November.
"With the media, their unctuous allies in scurrility, the left knows every specious allegation will be portrayed as fact in every article, on every news panel, and in every talking-head utterance.  It used to be the “big lie.”  Now it is a million little lies told by a camarilla of politicians and skirling media that they hope will rid the left of their Orange Man bane.
"The left must make sure that someone like Trump never happens again, should they succeed at deposing Trump, or better yet, damaging him to the point where he loses in 2020, for defeating him at the polls can be trumpeted as the “will of the people.' ”  . . .

120 years of climate scares (it is now a major industry)

Thomas Lifson  "Scientists seeking funding and journalists seeking an audience agree: panic sells.
“ 'Global cooling is going to kills us all!” “No, wait: global warming is going to kill us all!”
"All that’s  missing is a back-and-forth of “You shut up!” “No, you shut up!” That is reserved for those who doubt the need for panic.
"That’s the gist of an amazing chronology of the last 120 years of scare-mongering on climate, assembled by butnowyouknow.net and reprinted by the estimable Anthony Watts in Wattsupwiththat, who updates it to the present. It is truly mind-boggling: . . ."
Read the author's list here;   The partial list here:

  • 1902 - “Disappearing Glaciers…deteriorating slowly, with a persistency that means their final annihilation…scientific fact…surely disappearing.” – Los Angeles Times
  • 1912 - Prof. Schmidt Warns Us of an Encroaching Ice Age – New York Times, October 1912
  • 1923 - “Scientist says Arctic ice will wipe out Canada” – Professor Gregory of Yale University, American representative to the Pan-Pacific Science Congress, – Chicago Tribune
  • 1923 - “The discoveries of changes in the sun’s heat and the southward advance of glaciers in recent years have given rise to conjectures of the possible advent of a new ice age” – Washington Post
  • 1924 - MacMillan Reports Signs of New Ice Age – New York Times, Sept 18, 1924
  • 1929 - “Most geologists think the world is growing warmer, and that it will continue to get warmer” – Los Angeles Times, in Is another ice age coming?

Next time you see the usual "global warming" chart, look carefully: it is in tiny fractions of one degree. The ENTIRE global warming is less than six tenths of one degree. Here is the Global Warming Advocates' own chart, rendered in actual degrees like sane people use. I was going to use 0-100 like a thermometer, but you end up with almost a flat line, so I HELPED the Climate Change side by making the temperature range much narrower, and the chart needlessly tall to stretch the up-down differences in the line.

Swedish child climate activist reportedly a tool of Al Gore–linked corporate green hucksters  . . . "According to a report that ran in The Times (subscription only), titled "Greta Thunberg and the plot to forge a climate warrior," green corporate energy companies looking to turn a profit from green contracts were behind the young Greta's much ballyhooed rise from the beginning.  Far from being some persuasive and charismatic kid out to save the Earth, as the press is reporting, the Times found that:" . . .

Another triumph of political correctness

Lev Tsitrin  "The French are in the grips of bitter soul-searching: an employee at Paris police headquarters knifed four police officers to death.  How could it happen that the signs that something was wrong with the man have been missed?
He was a longtime convert to Islam...and was an assiduous attendee of his local mosque, going to morning and evening prayers.  A radical imam who was nearly expelled from France officiated there, a police union official said Friday.  . . .
. . .  "Shocking, indeed — yet the New York Times report leaves it to the reader to figure out why "nothing was done," not venturing to offer a hypothesis.  Thinking I must have inadvertently skipped a paragraph, I did a search on words that pinned the obvious culprit: "political" and "correctness."  None was found.  "Multiculturalism" returned no results, either.

"No wonder the French are confused: they seek answers in the wrong place, not noticing the elephant in the room that is political correctness.  Imagine the outcry from the politically correct if someone were to impute that "an assiduous attendee of his local mosque" who "had tried to justify to a colleague the killings in January 2015 at the magazine Charlie Hebdo and had done the same for other radical Islamist killings" posed danger.  What could be more "Islamophobic"?
"Of course, this happened before: Major Nidal Hasan, who gunned down his Fort Hood colleagues, expressed similar views and was not reprimanded or discharged, either, for the same politically correct reason, no doubt.
"And now, political correctness has claimed four more victims, this time in Paris."
Undetected and still roaming free, who knows how many more victims it will claim...

Babylon Bee reports: Staffer Nervously Informs Hillary Clinton She Lost 2016 Election

Parody from the office of Adam Schiff

"WASHINGTON, D.C.—After Hillary Clinton once again suggested that Donald Trump was an illegitimate president, one unfortunate staffer was forced to be the one to gently inform her that she lost the election.
" 'Hey, Hill, we need to talk," the aide said, her voice shaky and uncertain. "We've got to discuss something of some importance. We're all a little worried about you, and we just need to make sure you realize something about the election from a few years ago."
" 'We don't have time. We need to keep campaigning in swing states like New York and California," Clinton declared, checking her watch. "We'll beat that Trump yet!"
" 'Yeah, about that, sweetheart," the aide continued. She sighed heavily. "Why don't you take a seat?" The staffer then pulled out a folder listing the electoral results from 2016 and slowly walked Clinton through it. "So you see, you're not actually the president of the United States. I'm so sorry. Do you need a tissue?"
"Clinton stared off into space, the words not registering. "Thank you. That will be all," she said at last.
" 'Do you need any---"
" 'I SAID THAT WILL BE ALL," Clinton shouted, staring ice daggers into the poor aide's soul.
"The staffer has committed suicide by running herself over with an SUV and then backing over herself several times."

Ocasio-Cortez Thinks Democrats’ Trump-Impeachment Talk Is ‘Boring,’ Says She’s ‘Over It’

Either she has carefully considered the issues or she has found others to write her opinions. TD

Daily Caller  "New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday said she is “over” trying to impeach President Donald Trump, adding it should have been done a long time ago.

“I think the whole thing is boring,” Ocasio-Cortez said at a Queens Library event. “He should have been impeached a long time ago. I’m over it. And so that’s how I feel about it because we’ve got work to do,” The Washington Examiner reported.
“Impeachment of this president is the short-term action we need to preserve our democracy,” Ocasio-Cortez also said at the event. “But if we are really going to thrive as a country, we need to make long-term investments and keep our eyes on the prize of social and economic and racial justice in the United States of America. And that’s what this is all about.” . . .
"Despite Pelosi’s early reluctance to push for impeachment, there are currently 226 Democrats who support impeachment or an impeachment inquiry, compared to the 10 Democrats who don’t support impeachment or impeachment inquiry yet, according to the New York Times." . . .

Off Her Meds: AOC Says Trump’s Attacks on Schiff Are ‘Targeted’ Anti-Semitism
"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) probably says and tweets more remarkably ignorant things than anyone in Congress -- perhaps more than anyone in the United States. Her latest attack on President Trump regarding his attacks on California Democrat Adam Schiff may be her dumbest hot-take yet." . . .
"Speaking of Omar, the most outrageously laughable aspect of this concern-trolling by AOC is the fact that half of her "Squad" are openly raging anti-Semites. Omar is so awful that she inspired a condemnation resolution by her own party after she had been in office only a month.
"This is Barack Obama's legacy. White males who are Catholic, Protestant, or atheist are the only people subject to public criticism. Democrats hide their lunacy behind identity shields.
"Any criticism of Obama was racist.
"Hillary lost because of sexism.
"Say anything about AOC's Squad and you are "attacking women of color."

"On it goes."

93 Media Mistakes in the Trump Era: The Definitive List

Sharyl Attkisson  "We the media have “fact-checked” President Trump like we have fact-checked no other human being on the planet—and he’s certainly given us plenty to write about. That’s probably why it’s so easy to find lists enumerating and examining his mistakes, missteps and “lies.”

"But as self-appointed arbiters of truth, we’ve largely excused our own unprecedented string of fact-challenged reporting. The truth is, formerly well-respected, top news organizations are making repeat, unforced errors in numbers that were unheard of just a couple of years ago.

"Our repeat mistakes involve declaring that Trump’s claims are “lies” when they are matters of opinion, or when the truth between conflicting sources is unknowable; taking Trump’s statements and events out of context; reporting secondhand accounts against Trump without attribution as if they’re established fact; relying on untruthful, conflicted sources; and presenting reporter opinions in news stories—without labeling them as opinions.

"What’s worse, we defend ourselves by trying to convince the public that our mistakes are actually a virtue because we (sometimes) correct them. Or we blame Trump for why we’re getting so much wrong. It’s a little bit like a police officer taking someone to jail for DUI, then driving home drunk himself: he may be correct to arrest the suspect, but he should certainly know better than to commit the same violation.

"So since nobody else has compiled an updated, extensive list of this kind, here are:  . . ."
