"Californians now rush to move out of California.
"Some hopeful folks still move there, but so many more leave that California now loses more than 10,000 citizens every month. In fact, the state will soon lose a congressional seat.
"Why do Californians leave? "Exorbitant tax rates, high crime rates, the failing public school systems, the exorbitant cost of living," says reporter Kristen Tate in my new video.
"So many Californians move away that there's now even a shortage of U-Hauls. Renting one to go from Los Angeles to Houston costs four times as much as it does to go from Houston to LA.
" 'People are just emptying out!" says Tate.
"But this seems crazy. California has great weather and all kinds of natural advantages.
"The state's politicians drive people away with bad policies." . . .
"That didn't take long. One week after piously and erroneously repudiating the Commission on Unalienable Rights established by his predecessor Mike Pompeo, Secretary of State Antony Blinken revealed the hollow selectivity of this administration's commitment to human rights and democratic reform.
"On April 7, Blinken said he was "pleased to announce" the reinstatement of tens of millions of dollars in aid to the West Bank and Gaza and of some $150 million to support the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). "All assistance will be provided consistent with U.S. law," Blinken added.
"Easier said than done. The Taylor Force Act, signed into law in 2018, withholds aid from the Palestinian Authority until the State Department certifies that the ruling party of the West Bank has terminated payments to family members of terrorists. It hasn't. That was one reason the Trump administration slashed the aid in the first place. Nor is there evidence that suddenly the Palestinians have curtailed the so-called pay-to-slay schemes that incentivize the murder of civilians and the perpetuation of conflict. On the contrary: They bristle at the idea of changing their corrupt and self-destructive ways.
"A second law from 2018, the Anti-Terrorism Clarification Act, holds beneficiaries of foreign assistance legally and financially responsible for terrorism committed against U.S. citizens. This notion—that the Palestinian Authority might actually have to pay a price for its incitement to anti-Semitic violence—so terrified the leadership in the West Bank that it sent a letter to the Trump administration in February 2019 renouncing U.S. aid. I must have missed the make-up note postmarked Ramallah." . . .

“ 'There is racism physically built into some of our highways, and that’s why the jobs plan has specifically committed to reconnect some of the communities that were divided by these dollars,” the former South Bend, Indiana, mayor told reporter April Ryan this week in an interview discussing President Joe Biden’s proposed $2 trillion infrastructure plan.
"Buttigieg explained that several major highways in the United States negatively affect minority communities.
“ 'Well, if you’re in Washington, I’m told that the history of that highway is one that was built at the expense of communities of color in the D.C. area,” he said. “There are stories, and I think Philadelphia and Pittsburgh [and] in New York, Robert Moses famously saw through the construction of a lot of highways.”
"Buttigieg added that there has been a lack of federal infrastructure projects in black communities throughout history and said it “wasn’t just an act of neglect” but rather a “conscious choice” that the Biden administration hopes to rectify in the new spending package." . . .

"Let’s also remind folks about the position of that great hero to many on the left, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. But what they often like to forget was how much she believed in not further politicizing the Court and how much she was against such schemes as court-packing, even if it was proposed or pushed by Democrats." . . .
On Friday, however the White House is expected to issue an executive order to form a commission in a first step towards potentially packing the Supreme Court.
Biden’s track record of opposing court-packing, a partisan practice that was widely rebuked under the Roosevelt administration, runs directly contrary to even exploring the measure.
In October, while in Cincinatti, Ohio, Biden told a WKRC reporter that he “not a fan” of the practice." . . .

Three major polls find that the majority of Americans believe he has bungled immigration.
"When the inevitable assessments of President Biden’s first 100 days in office begin to appear, his precipitous actions pursuant to illegal immigration at the southern border will be judged by most honest observers to have been his worst blunder. That is certainly the perspective of the majority of Americans, according to three recent public opinion surveys. An NPR/Marist poll, for example, found that 53 percent of respondents disapproved of Biden’s handling of immigration. An ABC News/Ipsos poll found that 57 percent were dissatisfied with his management of the situation, particularly as it affects unaccompanied minors. An AP/NORC poll found that 56 percent were unhappy with Biden’s performance on immigration." . . .

“You now have a choice. You can bow down to this cancel culture, [but] I’ll give you a warning. If you do, it’s never enough. It will never be enough,” Gov. Kemp told the crowd after saying he felt the state didn’t need to apologize “one bit” for Georgia’s new voting law.
"After the lies of President Joe Biden, failed 2018 Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams, and liberal activists on Georgia’s new voting law cost his state the Major League Baseball All-Star game, a fed up Gov. Brian Kemp held a press conference Saturday in which he ripped both Biden and Abrams as well as the MLB, and vowed not to bow down to cancel culture mobs including those in corporate America.
"Before he took questions, Kemp gave a speech in which, among other things, he noted how MLB’s decision gave another troubling green light to liberal cancel culturalists who were coming for everyone, including other states, businesses, games, and other events in an effort to shut down and silence their opposition.
"He also claimed MLB “put the wishes” of Biden and Abrams over the “economic well-being” of Georgians, made all the worse by the fact that they did so in the middle of a pandemic when people were counting on those paychecks. Kemp also said that if MLB really cared about laws restricting early voting then they would have announced they were moving their headquarters out of New York: . . ."

"They are barely making it out of the coast crisis out of the pandemic and now they're faced under the Biden administration with potentially higher taxes, a higher minimum wage, more red tape and regulations and now this," Ortiz said of minority business owners. "I mean, this was an opportunity that my understanding and I'm glad you had the commissioner on as well is going to cost upwards of $100 million of economic damages and impact to the state."

"Ed Bastian makes $17 million a year as chief executive officer of Delta Airlines, Georgia’s largest employer.
"Bastian just blasted Georgia’s new voting law. He thinks it is racist to require the same sort of ID to vote that Delta requires for its passengers to check-in.
"Yet most Americans believe voting is a more sacred act than flying Delta and, moreover, may have noticed that Delta has all sorts of partnerships with a systemically racist China. So polls show Americans approve of voter IDs.
"Bastian fears the woke mob more than the majority of Georgia residents who support the law. Apparently, his theory is that the greater numbers of average folks won’t threaten his multimillion-dollar perch as much as fewer but more powerful left-wing elites.

"McCarthy told Fox News that he requested a classified briefing from the FBI and CIA on the matter and said Harris should attend.
" 'I know she hasn't been to the border,' McCarthy told Fox. 'I don't know if she's ever been briefing on this, but I think it'd be important that all leaders, because this isn't about Republican or Democrat, this is about the security of our nation. And everybody should be making sure our nation is secure.'
"McCarthy's call for Harris to finally address the crisis came as more images emerged of migrants from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador crossing the Rio Grande and packing shelters in Texas.
"Families are pouring into the US from Mexico on a daily basis and have pushed crossings up to their highest level in 15 years. Customs and Border Protection revealed that 18,000 unaccompanied children crossed the border, the most in history. More than 172,000 migrants were taken into custody last month, a 71 percent rise from February and the highest number in 15 years.
"A shocking video of an abandoned migrant boy telling border agents he feared he would be kidnapped and footage of Ecuadorian sisters, aged three and five, being dropped over the wall have exposed the dire situation.
"Harris hasn't made a border trip in the 15 days since she was charged with dealing with the root causes of the immigration crisis. The White House has insisted her role is based on 'diplomacy' with Northern Triangle countries.
"Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will travel to El Paso and McAllen, Texas on Thursday - holding events that are closed to press.
