"As the initial hearing showed, Pelosi cannily chose her GOP pair. They provided the “bipartisan” faΓ§ade Pelosi desired, mugging for the cameras and delivering their lines in this taxpayer-funded Democratic infomercial.
Yet, what of Russiagate’s abuse of power that, unlike the singular and ceased event of January 6, 2020, continues to this day—including the wholly biased January 6 committee itself? What of Special Counsel Durham’s investigation’s revelations into the insidious leftist cabal continuing to coercively impose political justice upon the equal and sovereign citizens of our free republic?
Once again, the New York Post is spot on:
“Until the plotters are held accountable, there actually is good reason to worry about the future of democracy in America.”
This, then, is the clear and present danger to everyone’s democracy. Like Ahab chasing his white whale, their purblind animus toward Trump has led them to pledge and risk everything to destroy him.
Like every vendetta, this constitutes an oath to an individual. In the process, they have abnegated their oath to defend the United States Constitution against those who weaponize the federal government against their opponents.
In fact, they have rendered it worse than meaningless. They have rendered it rank hypocrisy by becoming part and parcel of that continuing weaponization of the federal government, in this instance against their sworn πππ‘π πππππ, Trump and his supporters.
Representatives Cheney and Kinzinger, my fellow Republicans: did you ever stop to ponder whether your useful idiocy on this committee makes you accomplices after the fact in covering up the Democrats’ attempted coup against President Trump; and of their continuing corrupt and potentially criminal use of the police and surveillance powers of the federal government against their political opponents and all dissenters to their radical diktats?
Or how, when comes the day Donald Trump is gone, π¦ππ’π dishonor will remain?"

On Only Sunday Show to Cover Murder Plot Against Kavanaugh, Sen. Coons Fails Hard on 'Fox News Sunday'
It turns out it's possible to cover both of those topics, as "Fox News Sunday" did. Guest anchor Bret Baier also spoke with Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) about legislation that would better protect the justices. Coons had co-sponsored such legislation with Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) that passed by unanimous consent, but it's been held up in the House by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) who could not seem more disinterested if she tried to be, judging from her own refusal to take up the bill for a vote and her remarks during last Thursday's press conference.
"As Madeline covered on Friday, Pelosi expects the House to vote on the bill this week. The speaker tried to claim that it was an issue with getting the language from the Senate, and left it for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) to deal with.
"It's crucial to remind, though, that Democrats in the House also want to protect the leaker who released the draft opinion to the public showing that the Court is looking to overturn Roe in the Dobbs v. Jackson decision. Since the leak, there has been an uptick in vandalism and even violence against pro-life organizations, all while the White House and Democrats largely remain silent.". . .

He would have had a golden opportunity upbraid places like Cuba for their failures, failures that have driving millions of their citizens to flee as migrants. If this were President Trump, he'd bring the leaders of these places in and then deliver a knockout blow about their socialist records, putting these hellholes on the spot, and forcing them to admit their failures, if not come up with a laughable panoply of excuses.

Brick House Films, in collaboration with Lang, sought to tell his personal story and reveal the true details of the infamous day.
“Our goal was to condense the material and make it understandable to the general public, to those that may not be aware of the deaths of Trump supporters due to the police violence towards protesters on January 6th,” said filmmaker and Executive Producer Brittany Manheim. “There are many people in America that do not even know that we have political prisoners. . . ."Something is going on beneath the surface. Maybe it is just that Maddow is smart enough to see that the Dems are heading for crisis. Or maybe she is telling MSNBC, which still pays her an enormous sum for very little programming, that it needs to follow CNN's lead and start broadcasting a more realistic portrayal of the political scene. Or maybe she has been told by the brass that she has to lead her home team toward the center. I can assure you that her remarks have not gone unnoticed by the rest of the on-air talent at MSNBC.

There was only one real surprise in the January 6 TV show trial
It certainly didn't surprise me to see the same video clip that had been played at President Trump's second impeachment trial. That was the one showing Trump urging demonstrators to march to the Capitol, but conveniently edited to omit his telling them to "peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."
. . ."I wasn't surprised by the complete lack of subtlety in the way the cynical purpose behind this theatrical production was revealed. Rather than even purporting to "let the people watch and draw their own conclusions," the folks putting on this duplicitous production repeatedly uttered statements that would have raised objections in an actual trial because they assumed facts not in evidence and certainly not yet proven. Objections would have also been raised for leading witnesses.
"There was also the fact that there was no opposing counsel. Certain questions of witnesses were conspicuous because of what the interlocutors never asked. I kept waiting, futilely, for a witness to be asked, "And what manner of weapons did you observe these 'insurrectionists' carrying or employing?"

Nor was I surprised that ostensible Republicans and supposed erstwhile Trump loyalists had been trotted out in an attempt to lend a non-partisan artifice to the proceedings, with Liz Cheney (whose name almost rhymes with "chicanery") at the forefront.". . .

Biden’s America resembling Soviet era hellhole . . .For the past 40 years historians’ lists of America’s most disastrous presidents have consistently ranked John Tyler, James Buchanan , Andrew Johnson, and Jimmy Carter as four of the most incompetent. Two (Buchanan and Carter) were elected and served just one term while the other two were vice presidents who entered the Oval Office following the deaths of a president: Johnson was Lincoln’s VP and Tyler served under William Henry Harrison.

Our country has never been faced with such a blundering, tone-deaf, and probably mentally unbalanced individual in the White House. Sadly, there’s not a Harry Truman or Teddy Roosevelt waiting to succeed him. The woman waiting in the wings should Biden be removed from office is even less qualified.

Still, his rejection reflected visible grassroots anger at both these conditions and his policies, particularly Boudin’s unwillingness to bring heavier charges against shoplifters and other kinds of petty thieves that had come to define, in the popular imagination, 2020s San Francisco. Wealthy, older voters were eager to dump Boudin, as were middle-class non-white voters, particularly Asian Americans. Victimized by a surge in hate crimes, Asian voters felt Boudin had not responded properly to their plight. In 2021, Boudin drew sharp criticism for failing to describe the murder of Vicha Ratanapakdee, an 84-year-old Thai man, as a racially motivated crime. While denouncing the crime, Boudin said the defendant was “in some sort of a temper tantrum” and said there was no evidence to charge him with a hate crime. His office would later charge him with murder and elder abuse, but it wasn’t enough to assuage anger in the community. Like with the school-board recall, the organizing work of Asian Americans paid off. The Asian vote, in particular, is a warning for Democrats; they are not a demographic the left can take for granted or assume will easily fall into their coalition in the future. No Republican was on the ballot Tuesday, but right-leaning candidates who speak the language of law and order will be able to campaign for their support and win.

Then don’t simply complain, do something: Make it legally risky to throw around the allegations that are a canceller’s bread and butter. Expand defamation law, and make clear that bogus accusations of being a “racist” or “white nationalist” are factual smears and defamatory per se.

Just four years ago, Depp was a villain in the public’s eyes, after Heard made sensational abuse allegations (ghostwritten by lawyers with the ACLU) in the pages of the Washington Post. And while members of the media class shrieked in horror, the vast majority of onlookers were happy to see Depp emerge victorious, extracting about $10 million in damages from Heard.

. . .Traditionally, four types of false allegations have been considered severe enough that they constitute defamation per se:
Claiming a person was involved in criminal activity
Claiming that a person was unethical or incompetent in their professional conduct
Claiming a person has some kind of contagious or loathsome disease.
Claiming a woman is unchaste or has otherwise engaged in sexual misconduct (Yes, in an age of slut pride parades, questioning woman’s chastity is defamatory per se. Historically, this tort was only available for women, though many jurisdictions now allow it for men also)
"It’s time for this list to expand. Today, there is no false accusation thrown around more freely, and with greater harm, than the claim that a person is a “racist,” “white nationalist,” or “white supremacist.” It’s time that our courts adapted accordingly. America’s courts should adopt the standard that falsely accusing someone of being a racist, or of being a white nationalist, is per se defamation.". . .
Given profound influence of disparate impact and "civil rights" law on the foundation of the American legal system and (by extension) economy, incredible that questioning a woman's chastity is considered defamation per se, and calling someone "racist" or "white nationalist" isn't
