NYC on Alert as Potential Trump Arrest Loom

NYC on Alert as Potential Trump Arrest Looms | Newsmax.com

"New York City officials reportedly are preparing riot police for possible civil unrest this week with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office potentially bringing charges against former President Donald Trump.

"NYC workers on Monday began erecting barricades near a courthouse in lower Manhattan.

A Tuesday arrest has been rumored since Saturday, when Trump initially referenced it on his Truth Social app. "Trump's messaging, via Truth Social: "Illegal leaks from a corrupt and highly political Manhattan District Attorney's Office, which has allowed new records to be set in violent crime and whose leader is funded by George Soros, indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven, and based on an old and fully debunked (by numerous other prosecutors!) fairytale, the far and away leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week," wrote Trump. "Protest, take our nation back."

"Since that pronouncement, many Republican officials have defended Trump, characterizing the potential charges against him as false and/or politically motivated.". . .

Impeach and arrest Trump? Remember Bill Clinton?

. . ."While all of this was going on, there was no raid of Clinton’s attorney’s offices. Despite multiple accusations of SEXUAL ASSAULT by women, including Jones, Clinton’s friend Kathleen E. Wiley and, of course, Juanita Broadderick’s very credible accusation that she was raped by Bill Clinton. Yet, curiously, there were no threats of Bill Clinton’s arrest  His attorney at the time was Robert S. Bennett.". . .

John Kennedy Has Advice for Trump Supporters Upset With Possible Indictment

Prepare for accelerated gloating on the TV talk shows.

Julio Rosas (townhall.com)  "Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) added his voice to the calls for calm ahead of the possibility for former President Donald Trump getting indicted and arrested at the behest of Manhattan's District Attorney Alvin Bragg over alleged payments to Stormy Daniels.". . .

. . .Trump posted on Truth Social he was going to be arrested on Tuesday but his 2024 campaign says they have not gotten confirmation if such an event will take place tomorrow. Nevertheless, the news of Trump potentially being handcuffed over something that prosecutors have chosen to not pursue in years past has riled up his base. Trump has called for protests to take place.

"Kennedy was asked about the issue on Monday during an appearance on "Fox & Friends."

" 'I just wanted to ask one tiny little question to wrap this up, and that is, after he announced on TRUTH Social that he supposes he’s going to be arrested tomorrow, Donald Trump said, people should protest, protest, protest. Kevin McCarthy came out and said, ‘Don’t protest.’ Where do you come down on this?" Steve Doocy asked.

"Well, in America, you’re — you’re free to protest. You’re not really free if you can’t express yourself. But do it peacefully. Don’t — don’t — don’t be a knucklehead and — and — and riot. Do it peacefully," Kennedy answered.

"Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said people should not protest if Trump is arrested but made it clear what Bragg is doing is not in the name of justice.". . .

Stanford Law students that shouted down federal judge demand reporter hide their names and obscure their faces

Stanford Law students that shouted down federal judge demand reporter hide their names and obscure their faces - American Thinker  "Apparently, you don’t have to be that bright to get into Stanford’s law school, formerly regarded as highly competitive and demanding in its legal education. The budding totalitarians there who don’t believe in free speech for people with whom they disagree also apparently believe that they have to right to control news coverage of their heinous acts.  Are they ashamed of what they did, or do they just worry that they may not be able to cash in after graduation with lucrative offers or prestigious clerkships?

"Washington Free Beacon reporter Aaron Sibarium “appeared Sunday on Fox News and shared his blunt response to "hypocritical" Stanford Law School students who have demanded their names be removed from his reporting about their controversial activism.”

Judge Duncan describes his 'struggle session' at Stanford Law – HotAir

. . ."Many people have seen the video showing the disruption of his speech by students and a DEI dean. In his account, Judge Duncan explains the hostility started before he even entered the building.

When I arrived, the walls were festooned with posters denouncing me for crimes against women, gays, blacks and “trans people.” Plastered everywhere were photos of the students who had invited me and fliers declaring “You should be ASHAMED,” with the last word in large red capital letters and a horror-movie font. This didn’t seem “collegial.” Walking to the building where I would deliver my talk, I could hear loud chanting a good 50 yards away, reminiscent of a tent revival in its intensity. Some 100 students were massed outside the classroom as I entered, faces painted every color of the rainbow, waving signs and banners, jeering and stamping and howling. As I entered the classroom, one protester screamed: “We hope your daughters get raped!”…

The protesters weren’t upset by the subject of my talk—a rather dry discourse on how circuit courts interact with the Supreme Court in times of doctrinal flux. Rather, I was their target. While in practice, I represented clients and advanced arguments the protesters hate—for instance, I defended Louisiana’s traditional marriage laws. As for my judicial decisions, among the several hundred I’ve written, the protesters were especially vexed by U.S. v. Varner. A federal prisoner serving a term for attempted receipt of child pornography (and with a previous state conviction for possession of child porn) petitioned our court to order that he be called by feminine pronouns. As my opinion explained, federal courts can’t control what pronouns people use. The Stanford protesters saw it differently: My opinion had “denied a transwoman’s existence.”

America’s Uncle Joe has his own Beria

'When I saw the news yesterday that Attorney General Merrick Garland was appointing a special counsel to once again target Donald Trump, the first thing that popped into my head was that famous quote attributed to Stalin’s notorious henchman Laventiy Beria: “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.”

“Uncle Joe” Stalin had Laventiy Beria. Uncle Joe Biden has Merrick Garland.

'But tell me again how Republicans are the authoritarian tyrants.

"Now, according to Attorney General Beria, the reason he appointed former federal prosecutor Jack Smith as Trump’s Grand Inquisitor three days after Trump announced his 2024 run for the presidency was to ensure the ongoing investigation into Joe Biden’s political opponent remained “independent.”

"That made me laugh out loud.

"So, too, did hearing that hapless dimwit press secretary Karine Jean Pierre say this:"

. . .Listen, nobody, not even that dope Karine Jean Pierre believes that this Justice Department isn’t politicized.

"Joe Biden certainly thinks his DOJ is there to go after his political opponents. Last week during his pyrrhic victory lap over the Democrats not being obliterated in the midterms, Biden was asked how he could reassure America’s allies that Donald Trump wouldn’t return to power and undo everything Biden has done.

"This is how the loose-lipped Joe answered the question:

“Well, we just have to demonstrate that he will not take power by — if we — if he does run. I’m making sure he, under legitimate efforts of our Constitution, does not become the next President again.” [emphasis Dianny’s]

"You can always count on that old coot to let the cat out of the bag.". . .

he FBI Has Now Just Become A Weaponized Apparatchik Of The Presidential Administration." (100percentfedup.com)

FBI agent Steve Friend opted to become a whistleblower exposing the corruption in the agency. Friend said that individuals at the top of the Bureau are pushing a political agenda and that it is causing a divide between FBI officers and upper management.

Most underreported story: Evidence of the Biden family’s $ millions from China now documented with bank records

"It comes as no surprise that the propaganda arm of the Democrats called the “mainstream media” has no interest in informing the American people of the gravity of the evidence piling up that Joe Biden has been bought off by the Chinese Communist Party. Thanks to the efforts of James Comer, we already have bank records of $1 million flowing to Biden family members through a cutout named Rob Walker, shortly after Biden left office as VP.". . .

Comments to the above article:

Everything Biden has done weakens America and strengthens China. A partial list: crippling our oil and gas industry, detonating an inflation bomb in the form of the Covid Relief Bill, turning our border over to Mexican human smuggling and drug cartels, weaponizing the DoJ and FBI against its own citizens for purely political purposes, and pushing toxic and divisive woke ideologies.

China openly declares they intend to destroy America and replace us as the world’s only remaining superpower. Hopefully they will ultimately fail, but in the meantime, Biden is making sure they get their money’s worth.

William H Dexter II  I suspect this is the reason for the timing of Trump's pending arrest. Nothin' to see here, folks. Speaker McCarthy, you're up!

Xi Jinping Rises as Biden Dithers

Xi Jinping Rises as Biden Dithers | Power Line (powerlineblog.com)

It all began with Biden’s disastrous decision to abruptly withdraw U.S. forces from Afghanistan in August 2021. The move came as a thunderbolt, telegraphing Biden’s weakness and incompetence to the world. And he’s done nothing since to alter that perception.

The utter failure of the Anchorage, Alaska, meeting between top U.S. and Chinese diplomats held in March 2021 set the tone for relations going forward. Diplomacy flew out the window at the get-go and did not return. The hostility coming from the Chinese was impossible to miss. It was made immediately and abundantly clear that then-Chinese Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Yang Jiechi had neither fear, nor respect, for U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

"It was especially disturbing because the situation with former President Donald Trump’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had been so completely different. In the photographs below, the same Yang who displayed such contempt for Blinken and to the United States of America, is shown smiling and bowing before Pompeo.

"Since that time, the weakness exhibited by the Biden administration on the world stage has only emboldened the Chinese and their undisguised goal of surpassing the U.S. as the world’s greatest superpower is moving forward with surprising ease.

"Last week, we learned that China had brokered a deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia to restore diplomatic relations. According to the Wall Street Journal:

The deal signals a sharp increase in Beijing’s influence in a region where the U.S. has long been the dominant power broker, and could complicate efforts by the U.S. and Israel to strengthen a regional alliance to confront Tehran as it expands its nuclear program. It comes as the U.S. has been trying to broker a peace deal between Saudi Arabia and Israel, an effort now clouded with uncertainty.. . .

Wait: Trump's Indictment Is Now 'On Hold'

  PJ Media

Wait: Trump's Indictment Is Now 'On Hold' – PJ Media   "Donald Trump announced on Saturday morning that he would be arrested on Tuesday, and the nation has been agog at the prospect of the Leftist establishment crossing the rubicon of arresting its principal opponent on flimsy charges and demonstrating before the entire world that the American republic is now the American banana republic, in which foes of the regime can expect the full weight of corrupt government authority pushing back against them for daring to dissent.". . .

Meanwhile, Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, whose betrayal of his former client started this whole business about Trump having paid hush money to a porn star (which is what he might be arrested for, not any of the literally dozens of other crimes that Democrats have claimed he has committed over the last few years, up to and including trying to overthrow the government of the United States), “has told reporters he expected to be the grand jury’s final witness when he testified last Monday and Wednesday.” So whoever is slated to appear on Monday is a surprise witness.

Andrew McCarthy Lays Out What a Turkey the 'Nakedly Political' Case Is Against Trump – RedState   "There’s been a lot of reaction about the possible indictment of President Donald Trump, although his spokesperson says there has not been any formal notification of an arrest, and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office hasn’t formally commented on the matter.

"George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley wrote about a lot of problems in the alleged impending case against President Donald Trump including potential statute of limitations questions depending upon what is charged, that the feds refused to pursue this charge and the Manhattan DA seems to be trying to “effectively prosecute a federal case long ago rejected by the Justice Department.” He also pointed out how there was no push for prosecution when “Hillary Clinton faced a not-dissimilar campaign-finance allegation.”

"As I noted, Turley also pointed out the banana republic look of such an action. “The criminal justice system can be a terrible weapon when used for political purposes, an all-too-familiar spectacle in countries where political foes can be targeted by the party in power.”

"Now add Andrew McCarthy, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, into the phalanx of folks finding a big problem with such potential action. He’s not shy about it either. He wrote in his National Review column that the reported indictment against Trump was a “disgrace” and was a “nakedly political” move by a progressive prosecutor to benefit the Democratic party in the “long term.' ”

The American Spectator    First things first. When I was a little boy studying at yeshiva elementary school (Jewish parochial school), I had a first-grade English teacher who was first grade, Mrs. ShermanYes, Missus Sherman. She taught me two things I always have remembered. Having learned to speak English in Brooklyn, I did not initially know that “then” and “than” were two different words. The Yankees were better then the Mets, chocolate was better then vinella, becawss dat was da way we tawked then. Mrs. Sherman taught me “than.” It was a revelation and laid the foundation for my writing today at The American Spectator. The second... more »

Is The DEI Juice Worth The Squeeze? (reason.com)   . . ."When a university empowers DEI to deem speech "harmful," DEI will deem speech "harmful." When a university empowers DEI to designate spaces as "safe," DEI will deem spaces as "safe." When a university allows DEI to treat some people as "oppressors," DEI will treat those people as "oppressors." When a university teaches students that "harmful" speech has no place on a campus, the students will take steps to prevent "harmful" speech on their campus. This protest was a direct byproduct of what students have learned for years.

"Every word in Steinbach's speech reinforces these core planks of DEI. And her speech was obviously prepared in advance. She was so confident in her beliefs that she delivered those remarks, knowing she would be recorded. Steinbach no doubt thought she was on the right side of the university. Did Dean Martinez approve this conduct in advance? Or did Steinbach thinks she did not need to run her tirade by the Dean first? In either case, we have witnessed the endgame of DEI. These officials are empowered to extend their tendrils into every facet of an academic institution, with or without the backing of the Dean. Their mission is not to promote learning or academic inquiry, but instead to advance a specific ideology, which I refer to as DEIdeology. These beliefs are not trying to achieve a goal of neutrality. Rather, consistent with anti-racist teachings, they seek to use their newly-acquired power to elevate preferred messages and to deplatform "harmful" speech.". . .

Stanford University administrators wrong to uncritically defend DEI Dean Tirien Steinbach - Worldnews.com (wn.com)

An appalling event took place at Stanford Law School last week. Federal Judge Kyle Duncan had been invited to speak by the Federalist Society law student organization. When Judge Duncan was not permitted to speak due to heckling, he asked for an administrator to be summoned. The administrator who showed up was Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Tirien Steinbach.

A two-tiered justice system and the perils of a Trump arrest

Driving this witch hunt against Trump is Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and even the Washington Post has raised questions about the merit of the case. There is one report that his office is now "in chaos."

American Thinker   "Last March, the Federal Election Commission fined Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign $8,000 and the Democratic National Committee $105,000.

"Their crimes were the obscuring of their funding for the infamous "Steele dossier." The Clinton campaign attempted to disguise payments to Steele as "legal services" and "legal and compliance consulting" in campaign filings.

"Lawyers working for the Democrats in 2016 hired research firm Fusion GPS to ‘investigate’ Trump. The firm then paid former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele and his company, Orbis Business Intelligence, to conduct ‘opposition research.’

"The Steele dossier was replete with spurious claims and conspiracy theories. It was passed on to politicized government agencies which used it as one of the reasons to spur the Mueller probe.

"The probe lasted for almost two years, cost $32 million of taxpayer funds, and hung like a sword over the Trump presidency.

"The subsequent Durham probe has yielded nothing so far and is unlikely to in the future.

"Hillary’s campaign paid Christopher Steele via her campaign for the dodgy dossier of falsehoods and then mischaracterized the expense as legal service payments.

"Yet all that Hillary, her campaign, and the Democrats received was a symbolic slap on the wrist in the form of a fine.

"Now about President Trump:". . .

Trump was the only modern president to not start a new foreign war norescalate an existing war. Trump attempted to protect the border. Trump empowered people with his robust economy.

Trump talks about draining the swamp and ending the monopoly of the bloated and politized government agencies. It was reported that he has a plan in place to dismantle the deep state.

The Washington Democrat establishment simply cannot risk having Trump as president again; they have earned their monopoly after decades of efforts and shady tactics, and they will not let go easily.
