What Will Biden Do When Israel Finally Invades Rafah?

What Will Biden Do When Israel Finally Invades Rafah? – RedState

"As Israel intensifies its efforts to destroy Hamas, tensions between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Joe Biden are growing. Israel began discussing an invasion of Rafah, a city located in the southern area of the Gaza Strip, a few weeks ago. Netanyahu indicated earlier that another hostage/prisoner exchange could delay the planned incursion.

"Now the prime minister has given the green light for the invasion - but what will Joe Biden do? That's not clear at all, and that lack of clarity is a problem.

More than a month after first announcing Israel’s intended offensive in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has authorized plans for the incursion to take place, a spokesperson from the Prime Minister’s office confirmed on Friday. Though an exact time frame for the operation was not specified, it is said to include plans for the evacuation of the city’s civilians.

The announcement comes amid weeks of heightened concern among human rights organizations and world leaders alike about the impact that such an offensive would have on Rafah’s 1.4 million residents, many of whom were instructed to flee there at the onset of Israel’s ground invasion.

"As Israel continues to defy Biden and other world leaders who wish to see Israel halt its pursuit of Hamas, there is speculation as to what could happen when the IDF attacks Rafah. Congressional Democrats have expressed frustration with Israel’s pushback against the president. Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) said:

“Time and again, President Biden calls upon the Netanyahu government to take certain actions, and for the most part, time and again, Netanyahu ignores the president of the United States. And so I think that makes the United States look ineffective.”

"The lawmaker asserted that “to effectively enforce [Biden’s] warnings the administration has to use these other tools at its disposal,” which highlights a desire on the left for the White House to go harder in trying to compel Israel not to continue attacking Hamas, including conditioning U.S. military support and cutting off all military aid to Israel: . . ."

Biden Attack on Netanyahu Causes Worst Crisis in History of U.S.-Israel Relations

Joel B. Pollak: (breitbart.com)

The message to Israel’s enemies is clear: they are winning, despite Israel’s success against Hamas in Gaza thus war. The Biden Administration is rewarding Islamic terror, as well as the Iranian regime, apparently blind to the consequences.

Biting the Hand That Feeds You

"President Joe Biden’s endorsement Friday of a call by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for Israel to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and hold new elections marks the worst crisis in the history of U.S.-Israel relations.

"Israel is currently fighting to defeat Hamas, which murdered 1,200 people in the October 7 terror attack. It is also under attack from Hezbollah in Lebanon, and has even faced missile attacks launched by Houthi rebels in Yemen.

"All of these groups are funded and armed by Iran, which views the United States as its enemy. Instead of backing Israel fully, Biden is not only criticizing Israel in increasingly strident terms, but demanding it remove its democratic leader.

"Biden is also slapping sanctions on Israelis who have not been convicted of any crime; this week, he also sanctioned two geographic areas under Israeli control in the West Bank. At the same time, he gave Iran a $10 billion sanctions waiver.

"Meanwhile, the Senate — at Schumer’s direction — is refusing to pass billions of dollars in military aid for Israel. And there are reports that the Biden administration is “slow-walking” deliveries of ammunition already promised to Israel.

"This is happening because Netanyahu — like most Israelis — rejects Biden’s plan to impose a Palestinian state after the war, which would reward Hamas for terror. Israelis also want to win the war — not to wait, and allow Hamas to survive.

"Biden is furious, and wants Netanyahu out of the way. So he, and Schumer, have sent a message to Israel: if you do not replace Netanyahu, you will not be receiving more money and more weapons. You will be on your own against terror.

"If Israel complies, and elects a new leader — should one be found who accepts Biden’s policies, which are rejected by the majority of Israelis — then Israel might receive aid and ammunition, but it would definitely fall short of its war goals. It would probably not be able to complete the defeat of Hamas in Rafah, and it would almost certainly be unable to secure northern Israel against Hezbollah. Israeli shipping through the Red Sea will remain impossible. Israel will lose the war." . . .

Netanyahu lectures the West: "Have you so quickly lost your moral consciences?"

“Days of Rage” Planned for Democratic Convention

  NoisyRoom.net

"The “Step Aside Joe” Movement, launched by the far-left group Roots Action, is demanding that Biden be replaced in part because of his lukewarm support for Israel’s response to the terrorism of October 7. Such a movement has a global context."

"Protests that are sure to turn violent are being planned by communist factions in the Democratic Party and worldwide to replace Joe Biden at the top of the ticket. Vice President Kamala Harris’s demand for a “ceasefire” between Israel and Hamas was clearly designed to save Biden from the gathering storm. In the speech, she condemned Israel for allowing a “humanitarian catastrophe” in Gaza.

"At the same time, Biden ordered the U.S. military to air-drop 38,000 meals to people on the ground in Hamas-controlled Gaza who had brought the terrorist group to power.

"Over the weekend, a Times Square pro-Hamas rally became a nightmare situation when protesters blocked a police Bomb Squad from responding to a potential bomb threat. The grenade was later determined to be inactive and inert.

"These demonstrations, as we have documented in a report with photographs, are largely organized by communist groups in America who pledge their allegiance to China and Russia.

Rashida Tlaib, Palestinian

"Biden’s initial support for Israel is coming back to haunt him, prompting talk even in left-wing circles of “Days of Rage” protests at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August that will seek his replacement by anti-Israel “progressives” aligned with Moscow and Havana.

"The violent “Days of Rage” protests in 1969 were the culmination of months of street actions and riots to protest support for anti-communist South Vietnam in its war with North Vietnam, backed by Russia and China. Under this kind of pressure, including riots during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968, incumbent Democratic President LBJ withdrew from the race, the Democratic Party splintered, and LBJ was replaced by Hubert Humphrey, a Senator who lost to Republican Richard Nixon in the general election.

"Senator Robert Kennedy had entered the race to challenge LBJ but was fatally shot for supporting Israel by a Palestinian Marxist, Sirhan Sirhan." . . .

Grumpy Old Man Mumbles State of the Union; Biden spoke with marbles in his mouth and read the teleprompter with an odd cadence.

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

He appeared angry and shouted as much as talked. He attempted to bait the right-leaning contingent to his left, demagogued on wealthy Americans, and attacked the captive audience of the Supreme Court.

"Joe Biden, like Adolf Hitler and Axl Rose, arrived late. He entered the House of Representatives at 9:16 p.m. and began delivering his State of the Union nine minutes later. Unlike Christmas, it was not worth the wait.

"He addressed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine first and at great length. The invasion of America’s Southern border came later, precisely at 10:06 p.m. Citizens in McCallen, Texas, watching their city overrun, or in Roxbury, Massachusetts, seeing a local recreation center repurposed as a shelter for immigrants, did not enrich his family’s coffers as did the Ukrainian interests paying his son, after all.

" 'Freedom and democracy are under attack at home and overseas,” he said in juxtaposing the dual threats of Vladimir Putin with Donald Trump, who the president found, unlike Putin, so loathsome that he refused to say his name. President Biden called him “my predecessor” and “a former American president” and used pronouns. Republicans demanded he say murder victim Laken Riley’s name. He eventually did invoke “Lincoln Riley” — the head football coach at the University of Southern California — at heckler Marjorie Taylor Green’s instigation. But he never did say “Laken Riley” or “Donald Trump.”

"For different reasons he did the same with abortion. He referenced a woman in the audience who “had a fetus of a fatal condition,” whatever that meant, and needed to leave Texas “to get what she needed.” What she needed he did not say. He went on to euphemistically talk of abortion as the “treatment they need,” “reproductive freedom,” and the “right to choose.” Like the words “Donald Trump,” he could not say its name or accurately describe it. He instead characterized easier access to killing unborn children as a way to “stand up for families.”

"The president lashed out at “Big Landlords,” “Big Pharma,” and “Big Oil.” Left out of his tirade? Big Government. “I want to give public school teachers a raise,” “a future of paid leave,” “homecare and elder care,” “affordable high-speed internet for every American no matter where you live,” and “raise the federal minimum wage.” He spoke of “fiscally responsible ways” to pay for his wish list, including “making big corporations and the very wealthy finally begin to pay their fair share.” He would, presumably, determine what share amounted to fair.

“ 'My message to transgender America: I have your back,” he remarked in homage to diversity inspiring diverse interpretations. He name-dropped Native Americans. He highlighted African-American civil rights activists. It all sounded obligatory.

"The biggest lie of the night came from a woman who said nothing. Kamala Harris, whose office pursued almost 2,000 marijuana convictions when she served as district attorney in San Francisco, stood up and cheered Biden when he boasted of “expunging thousands of convictions for mere possession” of marijuana. One would need to expunge “thousands” just to undo what Harris did. A close second occurred when President Biden added the postscript, after pledging to ban assault weapons and impose other firearms restrictions, that “none of this violates the Second Amendment.”

"Biden displayed unusual energy and vigor early.  . . ."

A very specific cheat sheet reminds Biden how to act (nypost.com)   . . ."The prepared instructions for Biden — titled “Offshore Wind Drop-By Sequence of Events” — tell Biden to “enter the Roosevelt Room and say hello to participants.”

'Then, the paper says, “YOU take YOUR seat.”

'The typed-up note says that after reporters arrive, “YOU give brief comments (2 minutes).”

'When reporters depart, “YOU ask Liz Shuler, President, AFL-CIO, a question” and then “YOU thank participants” and “YOU depart.' ”

"Biden’s use of staff notes at events has been embarrassing before, such as last July, when an aide scrawled, “Sir, there is something on your chin.” Biden also held that note so it faced reporters and photographers." . . .

‘The Abolition of Man’: How C.S. Lewis’ Prophecy Is Being Fulfilled

 Jeff Minick - Intellectual Takeout

"For years now, our culture has waged war over the question of what it means to be a man. To that battlefield, some online pundits have brought the heavy artillery of C.S. Lewis’s 1943 book, The Abolition of Man: “We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.' ”

. . ."Fast-forward to our day, in which we are conditioned daily to accept new ideologies, sometimes twisting language to bring them to life. Phrases like toxic masculinity, reproductive choice, white privilege, gay marriage, and cisgender vs. transgender—all concepts that ignore objective truth and the anchor of tradition—now abound. Conditioners in our culture, for example, have taken a phenomenon like transgenderism (once rare and, until recently, regarded as a mental illness), reworked it into an ideology, and encouraged more and more people to accept it as the norm, with deniers often suffering severe consequences.

"Other Conditioners are intent on convincing us to eat bugs rather than beef and to eradicate fossil fuels, all to save the planet from climate change, a measure which could leave countless people impoverished or dead of starvation. As Lewis told us, our Conditioners know how to produce and influence conscience, and they busy themselves day and night to that end." . . .

Quoting C.S. Lewis: "Traditional values are to be ‘debunked’ and mankind to be cut into some fresh shape. … The belief that we can invent ‘ideologies’ at pleasure, and the consequent treatment of mankind as mere … specimens … begins to affect our very language. Once we killed bad men; now we liquidate unsocial elements."

As I wrote on March 9, the Biden administration and many Democrats, are using the old Obama playbook of attacking Netanyahu because he refuses to capitulate to American political weakness in the face of vile Islamist butchers, Biden Admin, Like Obama Before It, Has Found An Enemy It’s Willing To Fight: Bibi Netanyahu:

. . ."It’s disgusting what he did. It’s pandering. It’s pandering to the anti-Israel Democratic base, the pro-Hamas vote in Michigan. It is the worst thing he could possibly have done because he’s trying to divide the Jewish community. He knows there’s in the American Jewish community, which is overwhelmingly liberal, he knows there’s some dislike for Netanyahu. And what he’s trying to do, he’s trying to separate Israel and Netanyahu, which has been Biden administration policy. I wrote about this about two weeks ago, that’s where they’re going to distinguish. ‘Well, we hate Netanyahu, but we love Israel.’ Well, they’re in the middle of a war, okay?

"And why do they hate Netanyahu so much right now? It’s because he’s refusing to capitulate to the American President and the American Secretary of State who want Hamas to survive. They do. You can’t read their actions any other way.

"Hamas now exists only in Rafa, four battalions by all counts, which is thousands of Hamas fighters. That’s where the leadership is. That’s where the hostages are. And all of American policy for the last two to three weeks, maybe month, has been to try to bully Israel into not finishing off Hamas. And now Chuck Schumer steps in and picks up that cudgel and he hits Netanyahu over the head. And why is he hitting net over the head? Is because he’s been too uncompromising.

"I think there’s going to be a huge, there is a huge backlash to this. I think what Schumer did is disgraceful. He’s trying to walk it back." . . .

Who’s who in Israel vs. Hamas? - American Thinker   "Jews have lived in Israel for more than three thousand years — obviously longer than Christians and Muslims, given that Judaism predates these other religions.  They have every right be there.  And unlike the Jew-hatred running rampant throughout the Middle East and well beyond, Israel's Muslim minority are citizens who can freely vote and have representation in the Knesset.  After all, Israel is a modern, Westernized democracy.

"Israel's supporters and detractors must always be free to peacefully protest, express their views, and critique the opinions of others without fear of being fired or suspended from their jobs, persecuted, prosecuted, arrested, threatened, beaten up, harassed, censured, or censored.  After all, freedom means nothing if we don't find it within ourselves to tolerate commentary vehemently at odds with our strongly held beliefs." . . .

. . ."Hamas, by contrast, is a terrorist organization pursuing the genocide of the Jewish people.  It is on par with Hitler and the Nazis.  Finally, Hamas — not Israel — must be held accountable for the deaths of the innocent Palestinians it uses as human shields." . . .

Qatar Issues 'Stark Ultimatum' To Hamas Leaders, Threatening Expulsion, 'Terror Group' Responds (youtube.com)  "Qatar has set an ultimatum for senior Hamas leaders to negotiate a hostage deal or face expulsion. The US is pushing for a hostage deal before Ramadan, with Qatar playing a crucial role due to its aid to Gaza and hosting of Hamas leaders. Negotiations have stalled as neither Hamas nor Israel are willing to make concessions.Israel's Mossad accused Hamas of wanting to escalate tensions during Ramadan, undermining negotiations. The Paris proposal suggested a six-week ceasefire and an exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners."

Schumer’s anti-Netanyahu speech strengthens Bibi in Israel's war to defeat Hamas (msn.com)   "Having seen his lowest levels of support in months, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's popularity has gotten a bounce in the polls, which some say is partly due to the Biden administration and Democrats' growing criticism against the Jewish state.
"Criticism grew this week from across the political spectrum after New York Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer’s speech calling for new elections.
" 'As a lifelong supporter of Israel, it has become clear to me: The Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after Oct. 7," Schumer said Thursday on the floor of the Senate. "The world has changed, radically, since then, and the Israeli people are being stifled right now by a governing vision that is stuck in the past.' " . . .

"The Gays For Gaza People Are Idiots" - Douglas Murray

"When it comes to "Queers for Palestine," what's richly ironic is that many LGBT Palestinians seek asylum in Israel—the same country these stateside protesters are rallying against."  Billy Binion

The Contradictions of 'Queers for Palestine' (reason.com)   "The Israel-Hamas war has made political allies out of some unusual bedfellows. Yet the strangest pairing on display thus far is probably "Queers for Palestine," most notably because those protesters would risk summary execution should they take their demonstration to the Gaza Strip.

"The movement isn't new. But following the terrorist attacks launched against Israel by Hamas, the Palestinian group that controls Gaza, it has seen a sort of reemergence at various protests. "Queer rights! Trans rights!" protesters are heard chanting in a video taken in New York City. "We say no to genocide!"

"That protesters appear to be blaming Israel for those attacks—which have included, among other things, Hamas militants murdering people, filming those acts, and putting the videos on social media for the victims' families and friends to see—is perverse. But to marry that cause to LGBT rights is simply unhinged from reality." . . .

"The Gays For Gaza People Are Idiots" - Douglas Murray

"Chris and Douglas Murray discuss the latest wave in social justice. What does Douglas Murray think about the 'Gays for Gaza' trend? Why does Douglas Murray think oppressions are independent of each other? What does Douglas Murray think of the growing trend of hypocrisy?"

.

"Hamas has presented a new ceasefire proposal to end Israel’s war on Gaza. The plan includes releasing 50 prisoners for every female soldier, and a permanent ceasefire. Hamas said 50 Palestinian prisoners of its choosing-30 of whom are serving life sentences should be freed. Hamas wants its terms for a hostage deal to be carried in three stages, with each stage." lasting 42 days. Watch this video for more information."

Biden to McDonald's: Fix Your Ice Cream Machines!

 Darrell Frost – PJ Media

"While crime plagues our cities and the illegal alien invasion continues, Joe Biden and his administration are focused on the real issues facing the country, like the
size of a Snickers bar or a bag of chips.
"Now, he’s cracking down on another menace to our taste buds: McDonald’s oft-broken soft serve ice cream machines.
"Of course, given Biden’s well-known (and perhaps dementia-induced) penchant for ice cream, it’s hard to say this is surprising.

"As reported by The Verge, the Federal Trade Commision and the Department of Justice submitted a joint comment Thursday to the U.S. Copyright Office requesting an exemption to Section 1201 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), which imposes penalties for violating software copyrights. The exemption would allow McDonald’s franchise owners to repair broken soft serve ice cream machines themselves without waiting for service from a technician employed by the company that manufactures the machines, Illinois-based Taylor Commercial Foodservices.

"Citing another comment provided by the consumer rights advocacy group Public Knowledge and parts retailer iFixit, the FTC and DOJ note that broken soft serve machines cost around $625 a day in lost sales and that it can take up to 90 days for service from a licensed repair technician at a price of more than $300 per 15 minutes.

Border Patrol Slams Joe Biden for Being Senile, As Things Are Getting Downright Scary

You go, Girl! Riley Gaines: teaching the NCAA how to lose

 Mike McDaniel - American Thinker

"As is now apparent beyond any doubt, men competing in women’s sports are also capable, even inadvertently, of seriously injuring women. Trans cheerleaders have long suggested biological women simply “need to learn to lose” so men pretending to be woman can live their “truth.” Perhaps the NCAA lawsuit can teach those living in their own reality to learn to lose as well."

Toon added by TD

"Democrats/socialists/communists (D/s/cs) live in a reality of their own making. That used to be universally understood as mental illness, though so long as the afflicted were harmless, was tolerated. Unfortunately, contemporary D/s/cs demand others live in and praise their delusional realities. The world must adapt to the needs of the deluded few. That creates ever-shifting worlds where the demands of the profoundly confused are exalted over the real reality of the many. Nowhere is this more obvious, and disturbing, than in the world of trans athletes:

A group of 16 female college athletes have launched a lawsuit against the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) for allowing trans athletes to compete against them and being forced to use a female locker room with transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, who still has “full male genitalia.”

According to The Times & Sunday Times, the 16 female litigants are charging that the NCAA committed “institutionalized cheating and discrimination” by supporting and attempting to include Thomas.

. . . Screenshot here.

"In trans reality, male athletes who would never earn a spot on a medal stand can suddenly “identify” as female and vault to the top ranks of female athletics. They claim they do this to conform to their true selves, not at all to win medals, scholarships and fame they could never attain as men. However, the fact that female athletes virtually never suddenly identify as male, and those that do don’t suddenly win, reveals their hypocrisy. There’s no advantage in it because real world athletics don’t adapt well to women trying to compete with men. Amazingly, such people "identify" as either male or female, never the innumerable other invented genders."

Perhaps the only way to force change is for female athletes to universally refuse to compete against men pretending to be women. Unfortunately, that would deny them scholarships and their sports, and allow trans to win by default. The NCAA and most other athletic sanctioning bodies seem to think that appropriate.

BIDEN UPDATE:  I wish Biden would leave Israel alone: Gen. Keane (youtube.com)

Fox News senior strategic analyst Gen. Jack Keane (Ret.) on how the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal contributed to the ISIS resurgence and the need to allow Israel to continue fighting Hamas.

 Julio Rivera

"Joe Biden’s presidency has hit new lows in 2024.  Despite what many media outlets and talking heads on the left wanted to portray as an “energetic” and “fiery” State of the Union address last week, most Americans were not impressed by the speech, as the customary post-SOTU polling spike that most presidents enjoy hasn’t been there for Joe Biden.

"In fact, multiple polls released in the days since the speech have gone in the opposite direction for Biden.  According to the Yahoo News/YouGov poll, Biden’s approval rating went from 40% prior to the speech to 39% this week.  This increasing dissatisfaction with the current president was echoed in polling conducted by FiveThirtyEight, where, prior to the SOTU, Biden held a 38% approval rating on March 6 vs. a 37% approval rating on March 12.

"The speech itself was a clinic in Beltway gaslighting, with Biden making a number of questionable to outright dishonest claims related to job growth, inflation, and so many other issues of concern to Americans.

"On job growth, Biden’s claim to have created “15 million new jobs” in three years fails to acknowledge the fact that about 12 million of those jobs can and should be classified as post-COVID “Return-to-Work” jobs that were actually created by his predecessor, President Donald Trump.

"On the topic of inflation, Biden actually told the joint session of Congress that the United States had achieved the “lowest in the world.”  But in reality, the United States is experiencing higher inflation than a number of industrialized nations and new reports show that the rate has actually ticked upward." . . .

How can the Democrats Ignore Hamas rapes and tortures? feckless and corrupt

"kapos supervised their fellow inmates, oversaw their slave labor, and often punished them for the slightest infractions — sometimes by beating them to death.  In 2019, the Jewish Chronicle called the word kapo the “worst insult a Jew can give another Jew.' ” . . .
Moonbattery Kapo Chuck Schumer Undercuts Israel - Moonbattery

. . ."They would prefer a liberal patsy who will agree to a ceasefire with Hamas.

"Democrats know all about the systematic rape, torture, and murder of women and children inflicted on October 7. They know that “ceasefire” means surrender and that “from the river to the sea” means the eradication of Jews from their homeland. Yet they undercut our only real ally in the Middle East by trying to topple its leadership while it has its back to the wall.

"Election interference targeting Netanyahu began under Obama, who some believe is currently the acting president." . . .

Mr. Schumer said that as the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in the United States, he feels an obligation to speak out. He said his last name derives from the Hebrew word Shomer, or “guardian.”

Rep. Jayapal Should Not Be Reelected   "Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), the Progressive Caucus chair, should not be reelected to Congress. She is both heartless as well as out of touch with reality, morality, and evidence-based truth.

"Like the members of the infamous Squad, the smooth-talking and rather arrogant Jayapal continues to demand a meaningless “ceasefire” in Gaza, speaks passionately about the “displaced” Gazan civilians, but does not say a word about the displaced Israelis who had to be moved away both from the northern and southern borders and who remain in limbo.

She demands evenhandedness when she herself is hardly capable of it.

"Jayapal and her congressional comrades are in complete denial about what Hamas, trained and funded by Iran, did on Oct. 7 in southern Israel. And blind to what Iran has in mind for America.

"In a recent interview on CNN with Dana Bash, Jayapal refused to focus on what Hamas did to Israeli civilians on Oct. 7. She denied that “progressive” women failed to respond to the mass gang rapes and torture of Israeli girls and women.

I call on the Democratic Party in Washington’s 7th Congressional District to hold Rep. Jayapal’s feet to the fire on Aug. 6, 2024, the next primary election, and vote her out.

One bright spot: Congress fights back against Biden’s anti-Israel policies - CarolineGlick.com   "I spoke with Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) about his efforts to fight the Biden administration’s call for a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel before the terrorist group in the Gaza Strip is eliminated. The chair of the House Freedom Caucus wrote a resolution backed by nearly 40 House representatives that rebukes the president for his push for a Palestinian state in the midst of current aggression that also involves Hezbollah to the north.

"The resolution further demands a halt of aid to the Gaza Strip until more oversight is provided. The two also discuss what can be done on congressional and political levels to ensure that the United States remains supportive of Israel in its fight against Hamas."

"Tensions are rising within the Democratic Party around how to best condemn Hamas for sexual violence in its war with Israel, an escalating battle prompting fury from the White House to Capitol Hill.

"Democrats have expressed strong criticism over instances of violence and rape by Hamas — the Palestinian terrorist organization responsible for the Oct. 7 attack on Israel — toward Israeli women.

"But many in the party say progressives have in recent days prevaricated or have not gone far enough to address the human rights violation of using sexual violence as a war weapon, prompting an outpouring of anger throughout the fractured party." . . .

UPDATE: Lindsey Graham Gives Blunt Response To Chuck Schumer's Remarks On Netanyahu

"During remarks on the Senate floor, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) spoke about Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-NY) speech on Israel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this morning."
