Gore: Obama Has “Signaled” He Will Reject Keystone Pipeline…

Weasel Zippers

"One thing is for sure, if Obama does reject it, it won’t be until after the midterm elections." So, I'd say for the Republicans to campaign as if he has already rejected the pipeline.

Via Politico:
Al Gore says President Barack Obama has “signaled” that he will kill the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline, though the former vice president didn’t cite any evidence for his claim.

“[Obama] has signaled that he is likely to reject the absurdly reckless Keystone XL-pipeline proposal for the transport of oil from carbon-intensive tar sands to be taken to market through the United States on its way to China, thus effectively limiting their exploitation,” Gore wrote in a Rolling Stone story published online Wednesday.

The Bergdahl Swap...in WW2; Obama's Foreign Policy Idiocy Demonstrated

General

Visualize the Bergdahl Swap . . . During WWII   ... "Among Gitmo’s top Nazis, Berlin has insisted for years that it wants five specific prisoners released: Heinrich Himmler, Adolf Eichmann, Joseph Goebbels, Rudolf Hess, and Wilhelm Keitel. The German government unwaveringly has demanded these five detainees as they have negotiated this matter with Obama. For his part, Obama clearly has demolished America’s previously stalwart policy of not negotiating with Nazis." ...

George Will; Obama’s Foreign-Policy Problem, and Ours  ... "The House Select Committee on Benghazi should not consider the attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi its sole or even primary topic. Rather, it should begin at the beginning, with the U.S. military intervention in Libya’s civil war 18 months before Benghazi." ...

Remove the Illegal-Immigration Carrots; As long as U.S. politicians game the system, so will the illegals.

Dr. Ben Carson  " In 2012, the current administration made it clear that certain unaccompanied illegal minors would not be deported if caught. This helped create an atmosphere of tolerance that would be conducive to the current rash of illegal dumping of thousands of children from south of the border into the United States. Now we have a humanitarian crisis that appears to have been manufactured for political reasons."

RNC Dresses Up Intern As Squirrel To Follow Hillary Clinton's Bus...

Chicks on the Right   "The RNC just put an intern in a squirrel suit and then made a video, y'all.  It's warning people or the "potential for disaster should Hillary Clinton make her way into the White House after the next presidential election," and we found out about it from our friends at totalfratmove.com.  It's a cute little video for folks our age, but that's the thing - I'm not really sure who it's supposed to be targeted at...35-50 year olds?  Younger people?  Because folks my age - the kids who were in high school and college during the last Clinton nightmare already know what a disaster another Clinton would be.  But college kids right now? I'm not too sure they're going to respond to what appears to be a high school mascot run amok on which the RNC has slapped a t-shirt that says, simply, "Another Clinton in the White House is NUTS."  And they need to be the ones responding, since they're the ones who will more than likely go to the polls and vote Hillary into office in 2016."

'Redskins' stripped of trademarks. The tyranny of political correctness

Someone -I forget who- suggested calling them the Washington Redlines.

Politico
A Washington Redskins player is pictured. | AP Photo
"In a major blow to the Washington Redskins, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Wednesday canceled six federal trademarks of the “Washington Redskins” team name because it was found to be “disparaging” to Native Americans.

“ 'We decide, based on the evidence properly before us, that these registrations must be cancelled because they were disparaging to Native Americans at the respective times they were registered,” the PTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board wrote." More here

This Democrat government's tentacles grip our nation ever tighter. What's left after the Cleveland Indians? The Oilers? Many teams on the Oregon coast were named the Loggers; will that go?
This will be a long two years, but perhaps even longer given the choices of America's low-information voters. TD

“Redskins” trademark cancelled by USPTO as “disparaging” — Are “Negro” and “Colored” next?
"So when do challenges to United Negro College Fund and NAACP trademarks start?"

... "The landmark case, which appeared before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, was filed on behalf of five (count 'em - five) Native Americans. It was the second time such a case was filed." ...

I’m not familiar enough with trademark law to say just how far of an outlier this is, but many people now consider the phrase “Negro” and “Colored” to be disparaging. Just as at one time “Redskins” was not disparaging, so too times have changed and calling someone “Negro” or “Colored” could be deemed disparaging.

The Collapsing Obama Doctrine; "Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many."

 Political Cartoons by Robert Ariail
Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney  ... "On a trip to the Middle East this spring, we heard a constant refrain in capitals from the Persian Gulf to Israel, "Can you please explain what your president is doing?" "Why is he walking away?" "Why is he so blithely sacrificing the hard fought gains you secured in Iraq?" "Why is he abandoning your friends?" "Why is he doing deals with your enemies?"

"In one Arab capital, a senior official pulled out a map of Syria and Iraq. Drawing an arc with his finger from Raqqa province in northern Syria to Anbar province in western Iraq, he said, "They will control this territory. Al Qaeda is building safe havens and training camps here. Don't the Americans care?"

"Our president doesn't seem to. Iraq is at risk of falling to a radical Islamic terror group and Mr. Obama is talking climate change. Terrorists take control of more territory and resources than ever before in history, and he goes golfing. He seems blithely unaware, or indifferent to the fact, that a resurgent al Qaeda presents a clear and present danger to the United States of America." ...
Political Cartoons by Michael Ramirez

...The president explained his view in his Sept. 23, 2009, speech before the United Nations General Assembly. "Any world order," he said, "that elevates one nation above others cannot long survive." Tragically, he is quickly proving the opposite—through one dangerous policy after another—that without American pre-eminence, there can be no world order.
From David Horowitz:
"The chickens of Barack Obama's presidency are coming home to roost.

"Iraq is being taken over by jihadists — brutal lunatics who have conducted mass beheadings of their enemies in the towns they've conquered on the way to Baghdad. Even the New York Times admits they are worse than al Qaeda and they have left no doubts about their ultimate target: "See you in New York," their leader says.

"More than 3,500 U.S. military men and women died in Iraq to prevent this from happening. And now they will have died in vain, because the President — who tried to sabotage American troops even while he was in the Senate — has turned a blind eye to the terrorists' gains.

"There is only one word to describe Obama's policy in Iraq and that word is BETRAYAL.

"It is a harsh word, but it is an accurate one. The betrayal of America's security interests in the Middle East began with Obama's fellow Democrats back in 2003 when the war in Iraq was still winnable.

Benghazi suspect captured

Blackfive  "That is some good news.
U.S. Special Operations forces captured one of the suspected ringleaders of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi in a secret raid in Libya over the weekend, the first time one of the accused perpetrators of the 2012 assaults has been apprehended, according to U.S. officials. The officials said Ahmed Abu Khattala was captured Sunday near Benghazi by American troops, working alongside the FBI, following months of planning, and was now in U.S. custody “in a secure location outside Libya.” The officials said there were no casualties in the operation, and that all U.S. personnel involved have safely left Libya.
"I just have one question, why didn't we scarf him up a year and a half ago when he was giving interviews poolside at his hotel?"

Max Boot defends Obama's actions here: A Welcome Win for Obama and the U.S.

Hmmmm. Rush Limbaugh has an interesting question: Will Benghazi Suspect Say the Video Made Him Do It?

" ...anybody want to bet me that sometime this week he will admit that the Internet video is what made him so mad that he rounded up his buddies and began the assault on the consulate?  I am just going to tell you, I'm not going to predict that, but I want to go on record here on June the 17th making it very clear that, if that does happen, I, for one, will not be surprised in the least." ...

ISIS Video Calls to "Break the Crosses and Destroy the Lineage of the Grandsons of Monkeys"

MEMRI  Video at the link. Here is an excerpt of the transcript:
...
The Islamic state has been established,
so wipe out all the borders.
Wherever our wars goes,
Jewish rabbis are humiliated.
Break the crosses and destroy the lineage of the grandsons of monkeys.
...
Are we going to have to do all this over again until the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob puts a stop to it?

The Dog Ate My E-Mails, for Two Years

"IT experts and the IRS’s own manual note that backups of Lerner’s e-mails must exist."
Political Cartoons by Michael Ramirez

John Fund  Via American Glob ... "A growing number of computer professionals are stepping forward to say that none of this makes sense. Norman Cillo, a former program manager at Microsoft, told The Blaze: “I don’t know of any e-mail administrator [who] doesn’t have at least three ways of getting that mail back. It’s either on the disks or it’s on a TAPE backup someplace on an archive server.” Bruce Webster, an IT expert with 30 years of experience consulting with dozens of private companies, seconds this opinion: “It would take a catastrophic mechanical failure for Lerner’s drive to suffer actual physical damage, but in any case, the FBI should be able to recover something. And the FBI and the Justice Department know it.' ”...
Ah, of course; the Justice Department.

D-Day in Color, Photographs from the Normandy Invasion and the Pacific

Denver Post  "Original color photographs of the D-Day invasion of Normandy during World War II. From British and American soldiers preparing for the invasion in England to German prisoners being marched through the streets after France’s liberation, these images are some of the only color photographs taken during the war. This set of photographs is primarily from the German Galerie Bilderwelt, part of Getty Image’s exclusive Hulton Archive collection. "

The Pacific   "With the premiere of the ten part HBO miniseries, The Pacific, produced by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, World War II has again come into the living rooms of American families. The Pacific, the follow-up to Band of Brothers, will focus on the US Marines in the Pacific Theater of the war.

"The below collection focuses on The Pacific War, a term referring to parts of World War II that took place in the Pacific Ocean, the islands of the Pacific and the Far East. The start of The Pacific War is generally considered to be the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941. The Pacific War pitted the Allies against the Empire of Japan and culminated with the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945, Victory over Japan Day on August 15, 1945 and the official surrender of Japan aboard the battleship U.S.S. Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945."

Of the men pictured in this collection, those still alive are in or close to their nineties, many in wheelchairs. One wonders how many of these men went to visit the WW2 memorials during Obama's shutdown only to be told they could not enter because Obama wanted the shutdown to hurt.

Almost everything we are told about illegal immigration is both a lie and amoral.

It couldn’t happen without U.S. enablers.
Victor Davis Hanson  "Those who oppose illegal immigration are dubbed nativists and racists. But if so, why do Americans not object when Africans, Latinos, and Asians immigrate legally and in reasonable numbers — given that legal immigration has long since virtually ceased to be a European phenomenon?

"In fact, illegal immigration is in itself a racist enterprise. Latino activists here are eager to welcome new illegal immigrants and ensure that immigration laws are not enforced not because they believe it benefits the United States. They are not concerned with the American working poor and the effect of cheap labor on their livelihoods. They could not care less about the abstract principles of immigration (what would the La Raza industry say should 300,000 Congolese immigrants, fleeing genocide, unload from freighters off the Texas coast?).

"Identity-politics operatives are focused on illegal immigration solely because it involves tribal identity. Were illegal immigrants not predominantly Latinos, then Latino activists would not worry much about illegal immigration other than to oppose it."

Some say the massacre of Iraqi soldiers was a phony report. This graphic story should clear that up.

JAWA   "Jihadtube Becomes #1 Platform for ISIS Snuff Porn
"As you recall yesterday, some doubt that those Twitter images of ISIS murdering unarmed prisoners en mass.
Why are there doubts about the authenticity of the pictures?
Chiefly because video footage of the incident has not yet been released.
"Well [here] is your video footage. The first half of the video is of battles the real slaughter begins about half way through and climaxes at around 32 minutes. Extremely graphic."
