Wall Street Journal Finally Breaks: "The Press Is Burying Hillary Clinton's Sins"

Political Cartoons by Henry Payne

Zero Hedge  "Even the Wall Street Journal is now fed up with the biased media coverage of the 2016 Presidential election as revealed by a scathing article written by Kimberly Strassel, a member of their editorial board.  As Strassel points out, it's almost impossible to turn on the TV without hearing about Trump's "lewd" comments while coverage of Hillary "uniformly ignores the flurry of bombshells" inherent in the various WikiLeaks, FOIA releases and FBI interviews.
If average voters turned on the TV for five minutes this week, chances are they know that Donald Trump made lewd remarks a decade ago and now stands accused of groping women.

But even if average voters had the TV on 24/7, they still probably haven’t heard the news about Hillary Clinton: That the nation now has proof of pretty much everything she has been accused of.

It comes from hacked emails dumped by WikiLeaks, documents released under the Freedom of Information Act, and accounts from FBI insiders. The media has almost uniformly ignored the flurry of bombshells, preferring to devote its front pages to the Trump story. So let’s review what amounts to a devastating case against a Clinton presidency.
"Of course, the list of Hillary scandals is becoming way to long to remember though one of the biggest has been her establishment of the now infamous private email server and the subsequent intentional destruction of federal records despite the existence of a Congressional subpoena." . . .

The Clinton Record: A devastating exposé of the most unfit and undeserving individual ever to seek the American presidency.

"Never in American history has anyone as unfit and undeserving as Hillary Clinton run for U.S. President. While she stands on the threshold of being elected to the White House, she quite literally belongs in a prison cell. This article lays out the case against her, chapter and verse."
. . .
This, then, is Hillary Clinton: a woman who is wholly, unequivocally unfit to serve as anything more than an inmate in a federal penitentiary. She has demonstrated, time and again:
  • that she cannot, under any circumstances, be trusted with national security or state secrets;
  • that she treats the paper on which the Espionage Act is written, with no more reverence than she would give to a strip of toilet paper;
  • that she treats with similar disregard the paper on which the U.S. Constitution is written;
  • that her judgment in matters of international conflict, diplomacy, and terrorism is an abomination;
  • that she routinely uses her “charitable foundation” as a money-laundering operation designed to enrich herself under the guise of helping the needy;
  • that she will gladly sell out her country, and everyone in it, in exchange for material riches and political dominion;
  • the she is intent upon using the most irresponsible refugee and immigration policies imaginable to import countless millions of people from hostile, impoverished nations across the globe for one core purpose: to permanently transform the American population into one that will vote reliably Democrat from now until the end of time;
  • that she fully intends to purge the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights;
  • that she unequivocally plans to expand the disastrous, failing Obamacare debacle into an even more monstrous, government-run, single-payer healthcare system;
  • that she favors soft-on-crime policies that have repeatedly been shown to cause violent crime rates to skyrocket;
  • that she is perfectly willing to institutionalize massive, ubiquitous voter fraud because she believes that it will ensure additional power for her political party;
  • that she views white Americans as a whole, as inherently, “implicitly,”137 and “irredeemably”138 racist, and therefore in constant need of an all-powerful government to restrain their bigoted impulses;
  • that despite her professed aversion to racism in general, she is quite happy to ally herself with “politically correct” racists like Al Sharpton and the Black Lives Matter movement; and
  • that she opposes the imposition of any restrictions whatsoever on abortion rights, or on the government's power to force taxpayers to fund abortions.

WikiLeaks: Team Hillary Discussed Ways to Refute Juanita Broaddrick’s Rape Claim

Clinton campaign collected data to discredit Bill Clinton accuser, WikiLeaks emails show  . . . "Among the documents Kendall sent was an affidavit that Broaddrick had submitted in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Paula Jones against Clinton, in which she indicated that she did not have “any information to offer regarding a non-consensual or unwelcome sexual advance by Mr. Clinton.'  ” . . .

Hillary Clinton Acceptance Speech

. . . "Meanwhile, the New York Times is worried that poor Hillary can’t join in the fun of the furor over allegations of Trump’s sexual impropriety because of her own—and her husband’s—sordid past.
In the past week, as a swirl of sexual assault accusations against Donald J. Trump has prompted a loud national discussion about male power and women’s rights, the first woman to be a major party’s presidential nominee was barely heard from.
Though Hillary Clinton has stood at the center of feminist debates for more than two decades, she has at times been an imperfect messenger for the cause. That has never been more apparent than now, as her old missteps and her husband’s history have effectively paralyzed her during a moment of widespread outrage.

NY Post  . . . "When her ode to pragmatic two-facedness was called out by Donald Trump at last week’s debate, she lamely blamed it on Abe Lincoln, as portrayed in Steven Spielberg’s 2012 film. Never mind that a high-priced collection plate and the passage of the 13th Amendment have little in common. It’s all in a day’s work for a woman who claims to be for the Little Guy but spends most of her time frolicking with the political and financial elites."

“[Qatar] would like to see WJC [William Jefferson Clinton] ‘for five minutes’ in NYC, to present $1 million check that Qatar promised for WJC’s birthday in 2011.”
— Ami Desai, director of foreign policy for the Clinton Foundation, wrote in a 2012 e-mail.
. . . "In the public eye since 1992, the Clintons have long memories, rewarding their friends and punishing their enemies, swatting away annoying flies like Bill de Blasio — “Should we care about this?” wondered Podesta privately in response to policy suggestions from the mayor — whose aid they don’t need. Like the Bourbon monarchy, they’ve learned nothing and forgotten nothing." . . .

Hillary did make sense on some points. . .

. . . but then, did she mean it? If, as president, she delivers an Oval Office address, how can we believe a word she says? We cannot.  (I'm the Tunnel Dweller and I approved this message)

"*Speaking About Financial Regulations, Clinton Said “The People That Know The Industry Better Than Anybody Are The People Who Work In The Industry.”
“There's nothing magic about regulations, too much is bad, too little is bad. How do you get to the golden key, how do we figure out what works? And the people that know the industry better than anybody are the people who work in the industry.”
. . .
The fifth and final highlighted excerpt blames banks' unwillingness to "do what they need to do" due to fear of regulations, the same regulations which in the same speech she said should be left to Wall Street.
"*Clinton Said “Banks Are Not Doing What They Need To Do Because They're Scared Of Regulations, They're Scared Of The Other Shoe Dropping.
*“I mean, right now, there are so many places in our country where the banks are not doing what they need to do because they're scared of regulations, they're scared of the other shoe dropping, they're just plain scared, so credit is not flowing the way it needs to to restart economic growth. So people are, you know, a little -- they're still uncertain, and they're uncertain both because they don't know what might come next in terms of regulations, but they're also uncertain because of changes in a global economy that we're only beginning to take hold of.”
. . .
Addtionally(sp), as flagged by Reuters earlier, in the June 4 Goldman Sachs speech, Hillary warned Beijing it would "ring China with missile defense" unless it did more to rein in North Korea's missile program.
Because they could not only do damage to our treaty allies, namely Japan and South Korea, but they could actually reach Hawaii and the west coast theoretically, and we're going to ring China with missile defense. We're going to put more of our fleet in the area.
"Clinton told Goldman that the message to China had been, "You either control them, or we're going to have to defend against them."  According to Reuters, the State Department on Friday declined to comment on "alleged leaked documents." When asked whether such a message had been delivered to China, an official said it was not department policy to comment publicly on diplomatic discussions.Although Clinton's reported comments raised a stir in Asia, Reuters adds.
"Clinton said she also told her Chinese counterparts that the United States had as much a claim to the Pacific as China, given that U.S. forces had liberated it in World War Two.
"China had "a right to assert themselves," but the United States needed to "push back to create a balance" to prevent China taking a chokehold on sea lanes and countries bordering the South China Sea, she said."

WikiLeaks emails show Clinton campaign collected data to discredit Bill Clinton accuser

Standard Examiner
 "After Juanita Broaddrick, who has long accused former president Bill Clinton of raping her in 1978, repeated those allegations in a January tweet, aides to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton quickly moved to gather information that could be used to undermine her account, hacked internal campaign emails released Saturday by the group WikiLeaks show.
"There is no evidence that the campaign publicly responded to Broaddrick’s tweet. But the email exchange between Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and David Kendall, a personal attorney for Bill and Hillary Clinton, offers unusual insight into how Clinton’s aides prepared to deal with one of the most sensitive topics it would face during the campaign.
“ 'I was 35 years old when Bill Clinton, Ark. Attorney General raped me and Hillary tried to silence me. I am now 73....it never goes away,” Broaddrick had tweeted on Jan. 6, during the Democratic primary season." . . .

On the Democrat reports of Trump's assaulting women

Evidence points to political motivation behind claims
. . . “Not only did he not do so – and I was present at all times – but it was she that was the one being flirtatious,” the witness, Anthony Gilberthorpe, said. “If there’s evidence Trump’s done it, sure, hang him from the post, but I was there, I was in a position to know that what she said was wrong, wrong, wrong.” . . .

Wikileaks Podesta hack reveals CNBC’s John Harwood was a hack for Dems

CNBC GOP Debate
legalinsurrection.com
Legal Insurrection  "You may remember the October 28, 2015 Republican Debate held by CNBC.
"Memory as in bad memory. The moderators were abysmal, but John Harwood stood out as the worst among them. National Review wrote at the time:
The emerging consensus from tonight’s CNBC debate is that the moderators were rude. John Harwood in particular distinguished himself by not just asking tough questions, but asking them in the most insulting possible way — interrupting candidates mid-reply, offering his own editorializing, and shouting down candidates attempting to defend themselves.
Chris Christie seemed to capture the mood of the candidates and the crowd when — angry at Harwood’s hectoring — he finally said “even in New Jersey what you’re doing is rude.”

The GOP has a long history of subjecting its candidates to abuse by debate moderators.
From George Stephanopolous to Candy Crowley, debates are a time for network journalists to earn their battle badges by damaging Republicans.
And the GOP just sucks it up and takes it.
So why would the CNBC moderators have thought the most recent Republican Primary debate should be any different?
CNBC did what it thought it was supposed to do — mock and snicker at Republican candidates. Belittle them. Dismiss their intelligence and portray them as kooks.'

. . ." The highlights Carrk refers to are the following:
"In the first excerpt Hillary Clinton (rightfully) mocks Dodd Frank as nothing but a political contrivance which was created solely for political reasons as "there was also a need to do something because for political reasons." To wit: "*Clinton Said, With Dodd-Frank, There Was “A Need To Do Something Because For Political Reasons” Because Members Of Congress “Can't Sit Idly By And Do Nothing.”
“And with political people, again, I would say the same thing, you know, there was a lot of complaining about Dodd-Frank, but there was also a need to do something because for political reasons, if you were an elected member of Congress and people in your constituency were losing jobs and shutting businesses and everybody in the press is saying it's all the fault of Wall Street, you can't sit idly by and do nothing, but what you do is really important.” [GS2, 10/24/13]
. . .
"In the second highlighted excerpt, Tim O'Neill, Global Co-Head of the Investment Management Division, thanks Hillary for her "continued involvement in the issues (inaudible) to be courageous in some respects to associated with Wall Street and this environment" and then thanks her "very much."
"*Tim O’Neill Told Clinton “We Really Did Appreciate It” When She Had Been “Courageous In Some Respects To Associated With Wall Street And This Environment.”
. . .
"In a third noted excerpt, Clinton pitches the idea that the best regulation of Wall Street is self-regulation because "the people that know the industry better than anybody are the people who work in the industry.”
"*Speaking About Financial Regulations, Clinton Said “The People That Know The Industry Better Than Anybody Are The People Who Work In The Industry.” . . .
. . .
"In a fourth excerpt, Hillary admits she had "great relations and worked so close together" with Wall Street and has "a lot of respect for the work you do and the people who do it."

"Clinton speechwriter Dan Schwerin wrote to colleagues on March 20, 2015, shortly after the public first learned of Clinton’s use of a poorly protected, home-built email system while she was Secretary of State.
All, here are draft remarks for the Toner Prize event on Monday evening. We had talked about a few possible goals for this speech: 1) clear the air a bit with the press, possibly with self-deprecating humor; 2) explain the important role that serious, fact-based journalism plays in our democracy, as opposed to gotcha-style politics of personal destruction; 3) and play a little offense on health care given that Monday is the 5-year anniversary of the ACA. Of these sections, the first one is where I could really use your input. Do the jokes in here work? Do you have suggestions for punching any of them up? Robin’s husband Peter likes the idea of HRC being funny up there, and she says she is open to it as well, but we’ll have to see if she really goes for it. Thanks Dan . . .

UPDATED: Democrats can apologize their way out of any situation they can’t squirm out of. Republicans are guilty forever.

Joe Biden, ‘Bill Clinton’s PAST Shouldn’t Matter’ (But Trump’s Should?!)
"Straight from their playbook. Democrats can apologize their way out of any situation they can’t squirm out of. Republicans are guilty forever." . . .

CHUCK TODD: As you know, Donald Trump is bringing up everything Bill Clinton– right now. Should that matter?VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: No, it shouldn’t matter. Look, I can’t make any excuse for Bill Clinton’s conduct. I– I– I– and I wouldn’t attempt to make any excuses for the conduct. But he paid a price for it. He paid a price. He was impeached. And he was– he expressed his deep sorrow and acknowledged what he did. This guy, as I said, has acknowledged that he has been a sexual predator. He’s acknowledged that he’s abused his power. And the– as I said, the textbook definition of what constitutes sexual assault.It isn’t just Biden. If a quick search of that phrase online is any indication — even filtering out Biden’s name — this phrase is popping up everywhere.There has been a conscious decision somewhere to rehabilitate Bill. It’s their strategy.

. . . "But the same people that insist a kiss from Trump is assault are lining up to dismiss their hero.
"Hardly surprising, really. We remember them doing the same thing with [child molester] Roman Polanski.
"Whoopi, for instance:"

Liberals want the presumption of innocence for THEIR side while operating from a presumption of GUILT for their opponents.
“ 'If there’s evidence Trump’s done it, sure, hang him from the post, but I was there, I was in a position to know that what she said was wrong, wrong, wrong,” he said."

Update:  "Why I am still voting for Trump
"She is also known for her hysterics, which include yelling and screaming, throwing objects, abusing underlings verbally, and using language that would make a trooper blush.  How presidential is that?"
  . . . "For the sake of argument, I would assume that the allegations were true but would still vote for him.

"Donald Trump is against political correctness, globalization, open borders, unrestricted immigration, trashing the Constitution, crony capitalism, and corruption.  Hillary Clinton, the opposite.  She wallows in the last two.

"Donald Trump wants to achieve “peace through strength” as President Reagan did.  He wants to cancel the Iran deal, support our friends and allies, stop the growing hegemony of Iran, and defeat ISIS.  Hillary Clinton, not so much.

"Donald Trump names the enemy as “radical Islam” whereas Hillary Clinton refuses to do so.  I, on the other hand, see Islam as the enemy.  The adjective “radical” adds nothing.  There is only one Islam, and it is radical.  Donald Trump wants to be free to be critical of Islam.  Hillary Clinton wants to impose a gag order on criticism of Islam and even make it a crime." . . .

Chelsea Clinton’s bold decision in 2011 to launch an “internal investigation” into the finances of the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative…. (snip)

Bill Clinton and Donald Trump treated differently by women's rights groups

Political Cartoons by Henry Payne

McClatchyDC via Drudge. Video at the link.
At a Hillary Clinton campaign event in Manchester, NH, First Lady Michelle Obama delivered a blistering speech about the latest sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump. In his speech in West Palm, Fla. Trump called the accusations "outright lies."
 . . . “ 'Feminism sort of died in that period,” New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd told Yahoo recently. “Because the feminists had to come along with Bill Clinton’s retrogressive behavior with women in order to protect the progressive policies for women that Bill Clinton had as president.”

Clinton’s female supporters stood by him, especially as he denied allegations of misconduct, as has Trump. Later, after Clinton admitted to some of the allegations of consensual sex, they did criticize him but still supported him.
 "They were called hypocrites at the time, particularly when they were among the first to blast conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and former Sen. Bob Packwood, R-Ore., for allegations of sexual misconduct.
"Eleanor Smeal, president of the Feminist Majority, said Clinton’s situation was entirely different because it came as Republicans were attacking him and his pro-women agenda, including fighting against the Equal Rights Amendment and a law banning discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs.
“ 'For people like me, it was a totally different story and origin,” Smeal told McClatchy this week. “It was a right-wing attack. We saw it as a right-wing effort to draw out of office a president for ideological reasons.' ”
