CNN’s Moral Insanity! Babylon Bee update.

Religio-Political Talk  "A CNN panel falsely claimed that abortion is moral and human life doesn’t begin at conception. Dennis Prager explains why this argument directly violates science and reason. MOONBATTERY notes:

In the video below, a moonbat proclaims with a straight face that an unborn baby is not a human being. That is conventional insanity, of the type treated at psychiatric hospitals.
Meanwhile, the supremely odious Chris Cuomo desperately clings to the argument that it doesn’t matter if babies are human beings so long as they are not legally regarded as persons. If only they had realized this during the Nuremberg Trials, some Nazis might have escaped the rope.
Craziest of all is the underlying liberal belief that abortion is moral….

The Babylon Bee reports: Caravan Of Unborn Babies Heads Toward Alabama To Apply For Asylum
"The unborn humans, mostly residing in the wombs of pro-choice mothers, learned of the new law as their moms watched CNN and listened to NPR. Each of them would then sneak out of their mom's womb in the middle of the night, slip into a state-of-the-art artificial womb they ordered on Amazon, steal their mother's car, and make a break for the Alabama border."All we want is a chance to live the American Dream---or really, just live, to be honest," a spokesfetus said. "Since the rest of the nation is one of the deadliest places to be in the whole world when you're an unborn child, we were forced to come here for the future of our children, so we might live.""Honestly, as unborn children, it's safer in a third-world country like Venezuela than here."LIberals quickly criticized the caravan, claiming they were "not people" but "animals."

‘OMAR MUST GO’: Hundreds Of Jews Gather To Protest Ilhan Omar In NYC

Daily Wire  Video

. . . "Hundreds of Jews gathered in Times Square in New York City on Monday evening to protest anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and chanted, “Omar must go!” “ 'Following the highly-publicized allegations of the Minnesotan congresswoman’s antisemitism and her statement downplaying the 9/11 terrorist attacks, New York native and activist Joe Diamond organized a rally and billboard launch calling for her removal,” The Jerusalem Post reported. “Speakers at the event included former Democratic New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind and award-winning advocate of Christian Zionism Laurie Cardoza-Moore.”
“ 'In my lifetime, I cannot think of any other politician who presents a bigger threat to the alliance between the U.S. and Israel and to America’s Jews,” Diamond told JPost. “This woman is an ardent antisemite, and she doesn’t even try to hide it.”
“ 'Ilhan and her clique are well aware of what we are doing,” Diamond added. “And we’re not done. Everyone left really energized – ready to do whatever must be done next.”

US-Iran Standoff Is No Cause for Alarm

Daily Signal via Heritage

"Iran says it’s not interested in a war with the United States. The U.S. says it’s not interested in a war with Iran. The only parties who are making war talk are the press and pundits who just can’t help fretting about all things Trump.
"Still, there’s plenty to unpack and learn from the latest round of unsettling news from the Middle East.
"One reason for the war talk is that Iran is threatening to stop complying with the Iran nuclear deal, the agreement negotiated by the Obama administration in 2015 to curtail Tehran’s nuclear program.
"Critics were apoplectic when President Donald Trump withdrew from that deal. Iran’s announcement last week got them worked up all over again. They had convinced themselves that it was either the Iran deal or war. Now, they just assume there will be war.
"But in their anger, they forgot that their support for the Iran deal was largely based on myths. Iran never stopped its destabilizing activity in the region after signing the agreement. The deal never improved prospects for better relations between Washington and Tehran.
"Still, some expressed concern over new reports of a muscular U.S. military deployment to the region, which was provoked by intelligence of an impending Iranian covert action. Those concerns made no sense. The U.S. move was intended to pre-empt escalation, not prompt it.
"Finally, this week we saw reports of attacks or sabotage against Saudi tankers and pipelines in the Persian Gulf. The facts on this latest provocation are still in short supply. Some claim that Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen may be behind these malicious acts.
"Still, there are many rungs in the ladder of escalation between what’s happening now and war—and there are no signs either side is really interested in climbing much higher.
"From the U.S. perspective, the campaign to isolate and pressure the Iranian regime seems by and large to be working. Tehran is increasingly short on cash, faces serious internal dissent, and has little international support." . . .

Trump Tosses Bernie’s Campaign Into the Trash Bin of History along with the Soviet economy

"The troll master trolls Democrats."

Legal Insurrection

"President Donald Trump tweeted this morning that 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT) campaign is history.
"He pointed out that former Vice President Joe Biden still controls the polls, but those same pollsshow that Sanders is not quite finished yet.
. . .
recent Fox News poll has Biden up by 18 points. Biden only had 31% in March 2019, but he jumped to 35% in this poll taken from May 11-14. Sanders lost 6 points from 23% to 17%.
"The poll also showed candidates Pete Buttieg, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) gaining more points.
"However, when asked about hypothetical matchups, those polled chose Biden, Sanders, and Warren over Trump.
"An Emerson poll from last week has Biden ahead at 33% and Sanders at 25%. Biden gained 13 points from the previous Emerson poll. Warren and Harris tie for third at 10% and Buttieg at 8%. The other candidates poll at
 3% and less.
"The Morning Consult poll from May 13 discovered that Sanders has lost support from the key age group he usually excels in: 18-29 year-olds." . . .
Shame on our school systems for this result. TD

Perhaps there is hope? That Poll on Socialism Is Not as Alarming as It Seems

But what about this?  "Feel the Bern: New Gallup Poll Finds 40 Percent of Americans Support Socialism"   You mean the socialism that gave Venezuela all this?

Josh Hammer at the Daily Wire posits: "Bernie Sanders’ Entire Worldview Is Grotesquely Immoral And Evil"  Sanders "openly, proudly, and defiantly stood with the genocidal, mass-murdering Soviet regime when that regime stood at existential loggerheads with the United States of America. The same Soviet regime that willfully committed the Holodomormass famine in the Ukraine. The same Soviet regime that quite possibly — indeed, quite likely — ended up killing more innocents over the course of its bloody reign than did the Third Reich. The same Soviet regime that sent up to 18 million to the gulags." . . . Can you prove him wrong without going into a "yeah, but..." argument?

The socialist plan for America:
As we pursue a socialist transformation of society, we join with others in making radical demands on the existing system: demands that challenge the basic assumptions of a capitalist market economy while pointing the way to a new society. Although reforms will not in themselves bring about socialism, the fight for them will advance the cause by demonstrating the inherent limitations and injustice of the capitalist system. As we build the socialist movement, we organize around a platform committed to our common and interdependent struggles and aspirations.
As socialists declared in 1917 Russia just before plunging that nation into seven decades of darkness, gulags, and tyranny leading to the deaths of millions, not just limited to Ukraine.

People starving in the streets of  Kharkov, Ukraine.

Holodomor: Memories of Ukraine's silent massacre. The left does not tolerate opposition.

The College Board: Dumbing Down America

There's an idea in here somewhere
Clarice Feldman  . . . "This week, the College Board announced it will add to the mix secret “adversity scores,” rating students on deprivation, but nobody taking the test will be told these numbers.
Every student taking the SAT will now be given an 'adversity score' to level the playing field between people with different social and economic backgrounds, but critics say children of affluent parents could be penalized by the new system.
The scoring system was established by the national College Board, the nonprofit which administers the test (snip)
The new system will use 15 different factors to weigh a student's adversity score, based on things such as the crime and poverty rates in the neighborhood where the teens grew up.
Other elements of the adversity index include housing values, family median income, whether a student is a child of a single parent, or speaks English as a second language.

Loretta Lynch accuses Comey of misrepresenting key Clinton probe conversation, was 'quite surprised' by his testimony  . . . "The episode marked the latest public dispute to break out among high-level ex-Obama administration officials, as multiple government reviews of potential FBI and Justice Department misconduct continue.
'toon added, TD
"In a June 2017 interview under oath with the House Intelligence Committee, Comey said Lynch had pressed him to downplay the significance of the Clinton email review in September 2015, just before a congressional hearing in which Comey was expected to be asked about the investigation. Comey said the moment led him to question her independence and contributed to his decision to unilaterally hold a press conference in July 2016 announcing the conclusions of the probe.
“ 'The attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation, but instead to call it a matter, which confused me and concerned me," Comey testified. “That was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude, ‘I have to step away from the department if we’re to close this case credibly.’” . . .

Loretta Lynch Throws Comey Under The Bus: ‘I Did Not’ Tell Comey To Call Clinton Email Probe A ‘Matter’

The Morning Briefing: Rep. Doug Collins Dumps Testimony Transcripts . . . "Last night, Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) released a boatload of closed-door testimony transcripts.
Lynch looks at her notes during a previous hearing.
“ 'The American people deserve transparency,” Collins said in a statement Monday. “They deserve to know what transpired in the highest levels of the FBI at the origin of the probe of President Trump’s campaign.”
“ 'Out of an abundance of caution, these transcripts have a limited number of narrowly tailored redactions, relating only to confidential sources and methods, non-public information about ongoing investigations and non-material personal information,” Collins said.

"Here are all the transcripts if you want to read them for yourselves, I haven't read them all yet." : https://dougcollins.house.gov/transparency

Loretta Lynch flipped on Comey  "Lawyer up, Jim Comey. That was advice I gave the 6-foot-8 weasel on May 1. As the public learns more about Obama's spying on Donald John Trump (and attempts to entrap him and his staff), it is clear that Democrats consider Comey expendable.
"We now know that in December, Loretta Lynch told the House Judiciary Committee behind closed doors that Comey lied about a 2015 meeting about investigating Obama's first secretary of state, Hillary.
"Republican Congressman Doug Collins of Georgia released transcripts of nine witnesses that heretofore were secret.
"Collins said, “The American people deserve transparency. They deserve to know what transpired in the highest levels of the FBI at the origin of the probe of President Trump’s campaign.”
“ 'Out of an abundance of caution, these transcripts have a limited number of narrowly tailored redactions, relating only to confidential sources and methods, non-public information about ongoing investigations and non-material personal information.”
" 'Well, Obama said his was the most transparent administration ever.
"Then again he said not a smidgen of corruption." . . .

Romney Talks About Trump’s Moral ‘Character,’ And Rep. Justin Amash’s Shocking Tweets

http://www.terrellaftermath.com/
Daily Wire  . . . "At the beginning of the segment, Tapper quoted a series of tweets from Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) in which the congressman claims that President Trump "has engaged in impeachable conduct."
"Amash is the first Republican to stake out such a position. Check out The Daily Wire’s coverage of Amash’s comments here.
'Tapper first asked Romney why only he and Amash have spoken negatively of the president’s alleged conduct since the debut of the redacted Mueller report:
TAPPER: This is the first time you have appeared on a Sunday show since the Mueller report was released, and you said at the time in a statement: "I'm sickened at the extent and pervasiveness of dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land, including the president. I am also appalled that, among other things, fellow citizens working in a campaign for president welcomed help from Russia."You and Congressman Amash are the only two elected Republicans, I think, to express any misgivings about the behavior of the president or his campaign team based on the Mueller report. First of all, are you surprised that you two are the only ones that have really said anything condemning of the president's behavior as laid out?ROMNEY: Well, I think every individual has to make their own judgment.
 "The senator continued:" . . .

The Mitt Romney-Bill Weld axis shows itself in the aftermath of the Mueller report.
. . . "Sickened? Romney’s sanctimony is sickening. That’s why he isn’t president and never will be. That’s an office not for the weak. It’s too bad Senate seats in Utah aren’t similarly restricted.

'Mayor Pete' is Gramsci's perfect socialist vehicle for cultural destruction

Gramsci viewed churches, charities, the media, and schools as organizations that needed to be invaded by socialist thinkers.
Peter Skurkiss  . . . "Gramsci needs no introduction.  He was a Marxist philosopher and sometime politician.  He's noteworthy for redirecting the Marxist subversion of societies from the economy to instead focus on culture.  Gramsci's premise was that if the Marxists could rot out the culture, society would fall into their laps.  In this regard, Gramsci's idea has been tremendously successful.  It unleashed the kulturkampf (culture war) against traditionalism, the family, love of country, and most of all, religion.  Their weapons are insidious ideas like multiculturalism, social justice, and identity politics.
"In America, the basic aim of the cultural Marxists was (and still is) to replace Christianity as the nation's bedrock with the new secular religion of the progressives.
. . .
"And this is how the Marxists advance their agenda — incrementally, one step at a time.
"Mayor Pete has little chance of winning the nomination for president even from a party as dysfunctional as the Democrats.  At least not this time.  Liberals like Joe Scarborough of MSNBC, however, are tantalized by Buttigieg and are calling him "the future of the Democrat Party."  Even Brit Hume of Fox News is impressed with Buttigieg and says: "I think Pete Buttigieg is the most impressive, by far, candidate in terms of raw political talent in the Democratic field, and he may be the most impressive candidate I've seen since the emergence of Barack Obama."
"All this is troubling.  The damage Mayor Pete had done and will continue to do to the traditional society upon which America was built is huge.  Both Buttigieg's father and Gramsci himself would be proud of the boy."

"There’s little debate that modern-day American universities, public education, mainstream media, Hollywood, and political advocacy groups are dominated by leftists. This is no accident, but part of a deliberate strategy to pave the way for communist revolution developed more than eight decades ago by an Italian political theorist named Antonio Gramsci.
"Described as one of the world’s most important and influential Marxist theorists since Marx himself, if you are not familiar with Gramsci, you should be.
"The Italian communist (1891 – 1937) is credited with the blueprint that has served as the foundation for the Cultural Marxist movement in modern America." . . .

Justin Amash's primary challenger: He 'has more in common with Rashida Tlaib’ than GOP Voters

Julio Rosas   "In the aftermath of Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., calling for President Trump to be impeached over the findings in Robert Mueller's report from the special counsel's investigation, he is now going to be facing a primary challenger. State Rep. Jim Lower announced his candidacy on Sunday.

"Speaking with Fox News' Laura Ingraham on Monday, Lower further explained why he is running against the five-term congressman.
" 'He is calling for our president to be impeached and he doubled down on it today. I saw that he doubled down on those comments saying the Mueller report indicated he should be impeached. There is nobody besides Bob Mueller that would have loved to come out with that conclusion, and even he couldn’t come to that conclusion. It is completely ridiculous," Lower said.
" 'You know at this point, Justin Amash has more in common with Rashida Tlaib than he does the average Republican primary voter in the district. So, we are going beat him on this issue, but we’re also beat him on the fact that in ten years in Congress, he’s gotten one bill passed and it was to rename a post office. Completely ineffective," he said." . . .

National Review: House Freedom Caucus Condemns Amash for Accusing Trump of ‘Impeachable Conduct’  . . . "I addition to the backlash he received from the Freedom Caucus, Amash’s impeachment stand prompted an immediate primary challenge from Michigan state representative Jim Lower, who told the Detroit Free Press on Monday that he planned to announce his bid in July, but felt compelled to speed up his timeline in the wake of Amash’s statements.
"A number of top Republicans, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, have also condemned Amash’s lack of party loyalty. McCarthy noted Amash’s penchant for voting against the Republican party line and suggested he may no longer belong in the GOP caucus during a Sunday Fox News appearance. He did tell Politico, however, that Amash could retain his committee assignments.
"President Trump similarly accused Amash of seeking to exploit the controversy surrounding the Mueller report for his own political gain." . . .  More here

American Liberalism, its choice of political leaders, infantile causes, and our descent into third-world politics

Sinking to Third World Status  "What do you call a country where the police and the intelligence agencies spy on an opposition party? Russia? Because that’s what we’ve become, and the question is what should be done about it.
"For the last two years the media establishment has known that the FBI and the CIA spied on the Trump campaign, and we didn’t hear a peep from them about it." . . .

Hillary Clinton’s Dossier  . . . "But let’s remember who really ran this operation: Hillary Clinton. This is the lady who got an innocent man jailed for a video to cover for her decision to let Americans die in Benghazi so her nefarious plans didn’t see the light of day. Clinton lied and lied more. She’s not known for having any particular sensitivities to the truth.
All paths lead back to Hillary Clinton
"And all paths that lead to her, lead to President Obama who presided over the executive branch that was using FBI, CIA, and DOJ power to use the FISC court to investigate her political rivals.

UPDATED: Amash's political and financial reasons to oppose President Trump

UPDATE: Rep. Amash, who called for Trump’s impeachment, gets primary challenger
"Two days after GOP Rep. Justin Amash claimed that President Trump committed impeachable offenses, a pro-Trump Michigan state representative has stepped forward to challenge him in the primary election.
"State Rep. Jim Lower, calling himself a ”pro-Trump, pro-life, pro-jobs, pro-Second Amendment, pro-family values Republican,” announced on Monday his intention to run against Amash in 2020. " . . .

PowerLine  "I don’t think I’d heard anyone in the mainstream media (or anywhere else) mention Justin Amash’s name for several years until he called for the impeachment of President Trump. Suddenly, Amash was useful to the left and therefore relevant, sort of. Suddenly, the impeach Trump movement was “bipartisan.”
Amash

"John has shown that Amash’s arguments for impeaching Trump are nonsensical. But Amash’s arguments don’t matter. It’s the fact that he’s a Republican that has made him seem relevant.
"Except that he’s really not. House Democrats will decide whether to impeach without regard to what Rep. Amash thinks. If they decide to go for it, Amash’s vote won’t be decisive. If they impeach Trump, no one in the Senate will be influenced by Amash, who commands little respect among GOP Senators (or among GOP House members, for that matter).
"Why did Amash decide to advocate the impeachment of Trump? Shane Trejo suggests that the motive is financial. He notes that Amash “has significant business interests in China that may be harmed by Trump’s ‘America First’ trade policies.' ”
. . .
"Amash is a Palestinian-American. He routinely votes against Israel’s interests. For example, he voted against additional funding for Israel’s anti-missile system, Iron Dome, during the 2014 Gaza war. He even voted against a bill to set a 90-day deadline for President Donald Trump to fill the position of anti-Semitism monitor. Apparently, the bill would have passed unanimously but for Amash’s opposition." . . .
"As an uncompromising libertarian and strong opponent of Trump’s Israel policy, Amash has reason to be dead set against the president. As a potential candidate for Trump’s job, he has reason to want to see the president ousted. As a flake and an iconoclast, impeaching the president without probable cause to believe he has committed any crime is just the sort of thing that might appeal to Amash." . . .
Earl of Taint
What's behind Justin Amash's call for impeaching President Trump?
. . . "The old advice to "follow the money" usually is good.  But with Amash such a flake, it may be just one of multiple motives." . . .

Even Mitt Romney says he sees no case.  See what the Congressional "weather vane" declares if more Republicans line up against Trump.

Justin Amash Gone Wild  Amash's tweet that got his Christmas card removed from at least one refrigerator:
Here are my principal conclusions:1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report.2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances.4. Few members of Congress have read the report.
