"Two guys are running for sheriff in our small town. One candidate hosted a meet-and-greet which Mary and I attended. The other guy canceled his meet-and-greet because of the coronavirus. We're voting for the candidate we met at his meet-and-greet.

"Incredibly, events in our town which usually only draw a handful of people are canceling because of corona. I tip my hat to the pastor of a local church who did not cancel his annual Wild Game Feast. Folks, you have not lived until you have eaten deer sausage and deer bologna.
"According to the CDC during the 2018-2019 flu season, an estimated 16.5 million people got sick and 34,000 died in the U.S. No businesses closed or events were canceled. Under 100, mostly elderly, people have died from corona and everything is closing, devastating our economy.
"I realize everyone has to do whatever they deem necessary to protect themselves and their family. All I am saying is I ain't playin'. I am coronaed out.

"During a trip to Arizona and New Mexico, I filmed the construction of new border wall being built east of Douglas, Arizona. An extremely impressive undertaking. This video hopes to remind viewers how incredibly innovative & productive our construction industry is. It reminded me of the Alaska Pipeline Project, in which I personally managed a small portion of. After the politics settle, our relationship with Mexico will dramatically improve, the environment will be just fine (as was the environment in Alaska post-project), the word "illegal" immigrant will be gone, and in its place increased & rejuvenating legal immigration:

Patricia McCarthy  "At Pajamas Media, Stephen Green rightly titled his live blog on the debate, "Grumpy Old White Men: Drunkblogging the Democratic Diversity Debate.  But these two old codgers are beyond grumpy; they are both tethered to the already done or distant past.

"The first half-hour of this match was dedicated to the current crisis of the coronavirus.  They both puffed themselves up to tell us all what they would do; each and every suggestion from both of them was things President Trump has already done, already put in place.  It was as though neither of them has paid a bit of attention to how on top of this pandemic Trump has been while they were thoroughly absorbed by his attempted impeachment.  Biden bragged about the Obama administration's action on H1N1 in 2008–09 but didn't mention that it was disastrous.  Nothing was implemented in that case until a thousand Americans had died and 300,000 were hospitalized.  Neither Biden nor Sanders prescribed a single thing that has not already been achieved.  Both of them repeatedly mixed up past epidemics.  It was a thoroughly wasted first half-hour of the debate.  Not a word uttered by either candidate would comfort or likely win over a single new voter.

"Biden, when asked if bureaucratic red tape impeded testing at the outset, said no, but as Clarice Feldman explained, it absolutely did.  (Read the whole thing.)  Diagnostic testing is (was) so overregulated that the CDC had devolved into something resembling the DMV.  Trump has taken all this on with the alacrity of a man with long experience in business.  He brought together the CEOs of our biggest retail and medical organizations to help.  Neither Biden nor Sanders would have sought help from the big corporations they so loathe.  Both of them would have relied on our bloated, dysfunctional bureaucracy.  Trump, on the other hand, has brought these skilled businessmen on board, all of whom are problem-solvers, not bureaucrats or politicians.

CNN blasted for now declaring 'Wuhan virus' as 'racist' after weeks of network's 'China's coronavirus' coverage

Like Biden with his Romney "binders", ridicule something until people think it must be ridiculous. When the media has nothing, they just manufacture something and hammer it till people accept it as significant.
