AOC Attacks Home Owners, Squad Pushes Bill To Strip Property From Owners To Make Things ‘Fair’

News Thud

"Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked “homeowners” saying that they are hurting people that can’t afford to own land. Her rant comes as the crooked congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar proposed a bill that would strip property owners of their property if the federal government deems it necessary.
“ 'It makes no sense that we are squeezing people that already cannot afford to purchase their own home for more money than a person who already owns land and is a land-owning member or a home-owning member of our economy,” said a video posted by the Congresswoman on Twitter.
. . . "Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota at the same time introduced a bill that would strip property rights from Americans; it’s called the Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act, which is a socialist dream.
"The bill would cancel all rent and mortgage payments regardless of income or employment throughout the duration of the pandemic.
The bill would constitute a full payment forgiveness, with no accumulation of debt for renters or homeowners and no negative impact on their credit rating or rental history,” a news release from Omar’s office says.
"A fund would be created “to fully finance the purchase of private rental properties by non-profits, public housing authorities, cooperatives, community land trusts, and states or local governments — in order to increase the availability of affordable housing during this downturn.' ”  . . .

NYPD precinct commander leaves Bronx precinct for last time after standing up to feckless mayor

"An Instagram post about the walkout ceremony noted that Brea was supposed to attend a community board meeting where he would allegedly “be asked to take a knee” and was also “told to apologize for police action taken during violent riots a few weeks ago in his precinct.”

BPR  "A longtime New York Police Department commanding officer turned in his badge and left the precinct for the last time in protest.
"The love and respect for Deputy Inspector Richard Brea were on full display as he was given a rousing retirement walkout outside the 46th precinct in the Bronx on Friday.
"NYPD bagpipe players and an NYPD helicopter were part of the celebration of Brea who left Friday afternoon in a restored classic police car after a blistering speech slamming government leaders for turning their back on police officers.
"After nearly three decades on the force, Brea turned in his resignation in protest over the lack of direction on how to handle guns and drugs in the neighborhood in the wake of the recent disbanding of the police anti-crime unit.  The move came after weeks of protests and unrest in the wake of George Floyd’s death and increased scrutiny and criticism of law enforcement.
"Police Commissioner Dermot Shea had announced that the 600 members of the NYPD plainclothes anti-crime unit were to be reassigned, leaving Brea to wonder, “How am I supposed to lead?” according to Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa, the New York Post reported." . . .
Interestingly, ABC News7 in New York reported on the 46th Precinct just over a year ago, noting that “one of the most dangerous police precincts in New York City has seen a historic drop in crime over the past two decades,” thanks to the NYPD’s “renewed focus on neighborhood policing.”
The precinct was known as “the Alamo” because of the dangerous conditions that were turned around under the police efforts. But Brea had tough words for politicians who did not respect the officers in the Bronx neighborhood station.
“Their blood is in the concrete of every street corner, but these politicians don’t want to remember that,” Brea said in remarks at the ceremony sending him off on Friday. “They want to blame and vilify everyone here. I won’t have that. No sir.”
“We have a duty and a responsibility to respect and guide other cops,” he said, adding, “My 46 family, the Alamo, I love you man.”

Harry Reid strikes again

Washington Examiner  "When he was running the U.S. Senate in 2012, Harry Reid asserted, without presenting evidence, that an anonymous source had told him that Republican nominee Mitt Romney was a tax cheat. “So, the word is out that he has not paid any taxes for 10 years,” the majority leader declared from the Senate floor. “Let him prove that he has paid taxes, because he hasn’t.”
"It was a classless move from a classless politician. As it turned out, his comment didn’t bear any relation to reality. In reality, it turned out that Romney paid millions of dollars in taxes each year and gave a significant amount to charity.
"Asked years later if he had any regrets about the dastardly attack, Reid replied, “Romney didn’t win, did he?”
"A lot has changed since 2012. Back then, Romney proudly accepted Donald Trump’s endorsement for president. Also back then, Democrats mocked the Republican nominee for arguing that Russia posed a serious threat to America. But one thing has held constant: Even in retirement, Reid is behaving like a dishonest weasel by making outrageous assertions that he cannot back up.
"In a new book, Reid has now declared there’s “no question” that Russian hackers tampered with vote totals in 2016." . . .

All that bar-hopping and spring-breaking: Press ignores protests as source of new wave of COVID-19

Why exactly isn't that an issue in the press today? The protests, the frustrations, the politicizations have all contributed to this spike in cases, as have other factors. But only protests seem to be too hot to handle. Why is truth such as hard thing to handle for leftists doing this press coverage?
Monica Showalter  With a new wave, or peak, of Chinese coronavirus cases shutting much of the country down again, and news getting out about how it's younger people being infected, the press is blaming bar-hopping and spring break travel. And in the case of the Washington Post, President Trump's rally in Arizona, too. Here's one account from the Washington Post: . . .
. . .

"Anything to ignore the elephant in the room: raw, undistanced, unprotected, mass protests over the police-brutality death of George Floyd. The Washington Post actually excuses the protests.
"Curiously, the new wave of cases among young people now coincides with the waves of unprotected protests and lootings - five-, ten-day incubation periods, meaning the cases were contracted right about when the protests and lootings were going on. Apparently, everyone was out bar-hopping, according to the press reports seen now. Yet the anecdotal evidence is everywhere: . . ."

Jerry Nadler Says Antifa Is Imaginary, Gets Savaged by Jim Jordan in Front of Congress

Nadler’s ignorance of antifa raises the possibility that the congressman agrees with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that the left-wing mobs unleashing violence across America are the “armed militia of the Democratic Party.”
WJ  "It looks like House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler needs a little reality check.
"After all, speaking on the House floor Wednesday, the New York Democrat described the far-left domestic terrorist group antifa, which is currently wreaking havoc in major American cities, as “imaginary.”
"Fortunately, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the Judiciary Committee’s ranking Republican, quickly rose to the occasion and set his colleague straight.

DHS Asks TECH GIANTS to Make Sure Social Media Platforms Aren’t Used as Tool to Promote RIOTS

Socio-Political-Journal...
Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf has written to the heads of tech giants, including Facebook and Twitter, urging them to make sure their platforms are not used to promote or incite riots of the kind that tore through major cities earlier this month.
“ 'In the wake of George Floyd’s death, America faced an unprecedented threat from violent extremists seeking to co-opt the tragedy of his death for illicit purposes,” Wolf said in a letter, obtained by Fox News and dated Thursday.
"“I am writing to ask you to do your part to put an end to violence and illegal activity spreading across our country by ensuring that your platforms are not used as a tool to organize, facilitate, or incite dangerous or deadly riots, in violation of state and local laws,” he said.
. . .
"Wolf warns that social media can act as a tool to both promote and organize the riots, saying that while DHS supports First Amendments rights, “we witnessed crimes such as burglary, arson, aggravated assault, rioting, looting and defacing public property -- all of which undermine the safety of Americans seeking to exercise their First Amendment rights.”
"“The Department also witnessed the perpetrators of these misdeeds use social media as a tool to plan, organize and effectuate these crimes,” he said. “The misuse of social media platforms to coordinate criminal acts threatens the safety and security of our nation.”
"It comes amid growing pressure on social media companies to both allow the voicing of political opinions freely while also clamping down on those abusing the platform." . . .

Harlem Black Residents Push Back Against Abolishing the Police

Legal Insurrection
“I would say it’s pretty good [the relationship between the community and the NYPD]. You know, all police officers are not bad. You know, you got some of them that really care about the people and really want to help the people.”

"The #DefundThePolice movement began after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Fuzzy noted on June 14 that mostly privileged leftists supported it, not blacks.

"Floyd’s brother and family even rejected the idea.
. . .
"Horowitz then asked how they think black people in East Harlem feel about the police.
“Probably the same way I feel about them,” said the man who called officers “monsters.”
"You white liberals are in for a rude awakening.
"Then Horowitz went to East Harlem on Malcolm X Boulevard. He asked two people how they feel about the white people saying the black community would be better without police.
"I blogged BET founder Robert Johnson’s comments on people tearing down statues, even the Confederate ones, along with brands changing their marketing, canceling shows and movies, and firing professors.
"Johnson said “black people don’t give a damn” that these people toppled statues. They laugh at the celebrities who apologize for their white skin.
"He pointed out that none of this does anything for the actual worries of the black community: jobs, equality, opportunities to get off welfare and food stamps.
"But Johnson ended the interview with a dose of truth: “White Americans need to ask black Americans what they really want.”
"Communication. These white liberals assume what the black community want or need. Talk about being oppressive and racist. They decide what is offensive and what would be better for the community."

Tim Scott Absolutely Unloads On Nancy Pelosi for Disgusting ‘Murder’ Comment

Scott
RedState  "Tim Scott has responded to Nancy Pelosi’s disgusting smear, in which she accused Scott and other Republicans of “getting away with murder…the murder of George Floyd.” He went on Guy Benson’s radio show and lit into the House Majority leader.
"Here are the original comments from Pelosi.
. . . Hear her for yourself
"Scott has really shown himself to be a fighter lately and has become a favorite early pick for the 2024 election. Accusing Pelosi of privilege is just perfect. This is a white woman who’s had everything handed to her all her life trying to call a black man fighting a murderer based on nothing but policy disagreements. Earlier today, she showed her care for George Floyd so much that she forgot his name and called him George Kirby in a presser. This is a woman who is unhinged.
"It doesn’t get much worse than what Pelosi said, and she has largely gotten away with it because the press refuse to press her on it. Chuck Schumer has also defended her words. Pelosi’s only defense has been to suck on a lemon and proclaim she was really talking about Mitch McConnell. Well, McConnell didn’t lead the bill, Scott did, and she accused all Senate Republicans, so that doesn’t wash.
"I’m old enough to remember when the media fixated for weeks on Trump calling Joe Scarborough a murderer? I mean, sure that was dumb, but what Pelosi did here is much worse. Scott did not provoke her, nor did he do anything but try to get a vote on his bill. For that, he gets called a murderer.
"The sooner Pelosi leaves the national stage, the better off this country will be." . . .

1 in 5 Ballots Rejected as Fraud Is Charged in N.J. Mail-In Election

RCP   "Following accusations of widespread fraud, voter intimidation, and ballot theft in the May 12 municipal elections in Paterson, N.J., state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal (pictured) announced Thursday he is charging four men with voter fraud – including the vice president of the City Council and a candidate for that body.
"With races still undecided, control of the council hangs in the balance. Paterson is New Jersey’s third largest city and the election will decide the fate of a municipal budget in excess of $300 million, in addition to hundreds of millions more in education spending and state aid.
"In the City Council election, 16,747 vote-by-mail ballots were received, but only 13,557 votes were counted. More than 3,190 votes, 19% of the total ballots cast, were disqualified by the board of elections. Due to the pandemic, Paterson’s election was done through vote-by-mail. Community organizations, such as the city’s NAACP chapter, are calling for the entire election to be invalidated.
"Mail-in ballots have long been acknowledged by voting experts to be more susceptible to fraud and irregularities than in-person voting. This has raised concerns from President Trump and other Republicans about the integrity of national elections in November, which are expected to include a dramatic increase in mail-in ballots. If Paterson is any guide, it ought to concern Democrats as well.
"Over 800 ballots in Paterson were invalidated for appearing in mailboxes improperly bundled together – including a one mailbox where hundreds of ballots were in a single packet. The bundles were turned over to law enforcement to investigate potential criminal activity related to the collection of the ballots." . . .

Joe Biden gets a softball question on statue-smashing, and misses

It shows that the far left is more important to him tham  mainstream voters who are rightly disgusted and appalled by the lunacy overtaking the country.

Monica Showalter
"Quick, what's the biggest no-brainer in Washington?
"Saying 'no' to looting?
"Denouncing rioting, arson, and terror, by self-appointed leftist mobs?
"Blasting  statue-smashers, who deprive America's children of their heritage?
"To normal people, any one of these things is a no-brainer.
"But not Joe Biden.
"Here's Joe Biden, seeking the highest office of he land from his basement hideout, and despite the time he's got on his hands, he's tongue-tied on the issue of whether to remove statues of George Washington.
"The Daily Caller asked him an obvious softball question and Biden fled the scene.
"According to the Daily Caller:
As calls to remove statues of former U.S. presidents and even Jesus Christ come, presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2020 presidential election Joe Biden has remained silent on the issue, even after his campaign was contacted about the matter. The Daily Caller reached out to the Biden campaign and asked them if the former vice president agrees with the Democrats who want to tear down statues of George Washington, Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt and some depictions of Jesus. The campaign was given over 24 hours to respond to the inquiry. They did not do so. . . .
Joe Biden Was Asked About the Destruction of Monuments, Here’s His Answer
Regardless, the media’s refusal to hold Biden to account is yet another failure on their part. It has now been 84 days since Biden answered a question from the press (no, scripted interviews with CNN don’t count). He has no incentive to do anything differently because the press don’t care. They are all rooting for him and if eschewing journalistic principles helps him win office, they are willing to do what it takes.

Oppose DC statehood? Racist!

In this debate, you will hear many appeals to racism, a tactic that outweighs all other arguments and intimidates voters, especially in this political climate. Maxine Waters has declared it so, If you oppose statehood you will be branded a racist and could even lose your livelihood. TD

House moves to approve D.C. statehood; Senate GOP opposes
"Republicans aren’t “stupid” enough to add guaranteed Democratic seats."
. . . Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.), however, likened making DC a state to giving Milwaukee two senators.
“ 'I will never vote to give a single middling-size city the same political power as one of America’s great 50 states,” added Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.). “Their goal is two more guaranteed left-wing senators.”
"Hice gave a brush-off common among conservatives, pointing to local financial woes and corruption in recent decades.
“ 'DC is simply not equipped to shoulder the burden of statehood,” Hice said." . . .

Not while Republicans hold the senate; elections matter!

This Is Why Washington, D.C. Isn’t a State  . . . While drafting the Constitution in 1787, the Founding Fathers decided that the new nation should have a permanent capital. But they were reluctant to give that much power to one single state. So they wrote in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution that “[The Congress shall have Power] To exercise exclusive Legislation…over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may…become the Seat of the Government of the United States.” The article also stated that this 100-mile district would come from land ceded by the states so that the new seat of government would be independent of any state. Check out more facts about U.S. history you didn’t learn in school." . . .

Here's Why Washington D.C. Isn't a State  . . . "But the lack of statehood for the capital is enshrined in the Constitution. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 of the document reads, “The Congress shall have Power To …exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States.”
"James Madison outlined the reasoning behind this provision in Federalist 43, calling the arrangement an “indispensable necessity.” He wrote, “The indispensable necessity of complete authority at the seat of government, carries its own evidence with it… Without it, not only the public authority might be insulted and its proceedings interrupted with impunity; but a dependence of the members of the general government on the State comprehending the seat of the government, for protection in the exercise of their duty, might bring on the national councils an imputation of awe or influence, equally dishonorable to the government and dissatisfactory to the other members of the Confederacy.”
"In other words, the founders worried that if the capital were to be a state, the members of the government would be unduly beholden to it. Madison envisioned that voting members of a D.C. state would be able to ‘insult’ or ‘interrupt’ the proceedings of government to get their way, simply by virtue of physical proximity to the halls of power." . . .     Sen. Carly Fiorina Betrays America

How on earth can Fiorina align herself with Democrats like Maxine Waters?

Lloyd Marcus  "Four years ago, my wife Mary and I followed the Ted Cruz for President campaign state to state, working to secure Cruz as the GOP nominee. Carly Fiorina was Cruz's running mate for vice president. I had my picture taken with her at one of the numerous campaign events. Little did I know Fiorina would prove to be another soulless politician, announcing she will vote for Democrat Joe Biden for president.
"My definition of a soulless politician is someone who simply views politics as a business. I first ran into this mindset many years ago at a cocktail party. While he chewed an hors d'oeuvre, a gentleman said he ran for a political seat as a Republican and lost. Without missing a beat, he said next time he will run as a Democrat because Democrats offered him more campaign money. I was stunned. Republicans and Democrats have different core beliefs and values. Naively, I thought, “How can someone run as a Republican and then run as a Democrat simply for more money?” Clearly, this guy was ideologically soulless. He was only interested in furthering his political career.
"Hearing Fiorina speak at numerous events on the campaign trail, I was convinced that she was one of us; a true patriot and lover of conservative principles and values which have made America great.
"How on earth can Fiorina vote for Joe Biden for president? Everyone knows Biden in the White House means the end of religious liberty -- open borders for illegals -- implementation of the insane Green New Deal -- the murder of healthy babies after they are born -- the collapse of our economy due to overreaching regulations – government-controlled healthcare with death panels -- allowing Marxists to wreak havoc with impunity – extreme redistribution of wealth, and an ever-growing list of draconian unconstitutional government mandates. Electing Biden would usher in the end of America as founded.
"Carly Fiorina is not stupid. Therefore, her personal hatred for Trump obviously overrides her doing the right thing for America. Only a very small person would do such a horrible thing to their country. Carly, you should be ashamed of yourself. I thought better of you.
Brothers and sisters, we are Americans. It is time we take back our country. "
Lloyd Marcus, The Unhyphenated American
