An Irreligious Culture of Virtue Signaling Without Virtue

For decades, America’s “adults” have denigrated the teachings of traditional morality and religion, and now the costs of that heedless repudiation are coming due.

The American Spectator

The costs of this moral fraudulence, evident in the Sam Bankman-Fried scandal, are coming due.

"In traditional cultures, elders feel a duty to introduce the young to an education in virtue. In nontraditional modern cultures, adults feel no such duty. They expose children to vice — look at all the moral rot in public schools across the country in which teachers, among other practices, dispense condoms to students and encourage them to mutilate themselves in the name of “gender identity” — and they routinely replace virtuous education with virtue-signaling propaganda.

"The graduates of this sham education know nothing about the Ten Commandments — public school principals live in dread fear of ACLU lawsuits against even the slightest educational nods to theism — but these students know much about environmentalism, feminism, gender politics, racial politics, and the sexual revolution. The worst sins, according to this warped education, do not entail violating the teachings of Christianity but contradicting the supposedly proper attitudes the ruling class expects the citizenry to hold. No public school principal would dare condemn a high schooler for getting an abortion or engaging in premarital sex, but many principals wouldn’t hesitate to condemn students for donning Trump-related attire or participating in high-profile conservative marches and protests.

"Out of this godless culture of virtue signaling without virtue, which pervades high schools and colleges, has come an astonishing generation of snots and miscreants, long on progressive conceits but short on basic decency. The creepy Sam Bankman-Fried is a poster boy for this culture. He is the crooked founder of FTX, a now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange that he formed in his 20s. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bankman-Fried practiced virtue signaling but not virtue. It emerged recently that he secretly shuffled billions of dollars from his customers to his trading firm.

"Before bilking his clients at FTX, Bankman-Fried spent time in Berkeley, California, working at an outfit called the “Centre for Effective Altruism.” He was its development director. There and at MIT he apparently learned that the key to success in liberal America is not ethics but projecting views and attitudes pleasing to the elite. . . ."

Trump Vows to ‘Abolish’ Every Biden COVID Mandate, Rehire Every Patriot Fired from Military with Back Pay

 Breitbart

"Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday vowed that his administration would root “Biden’s radical left ideology out of our military” and “abolish” every coronavirus mandate, rehiring members of the military who lost their jobs due to the rules.

“ 'As Commander in Chief, I will get Biden’s radical left ideology out of our military,” Trump said during his 2024 announcement speech Tuesday evening at Mar-a-Lago, where he unveiled his “National Greatness Agenda.”

“ 'And I did. I did, and in the first day they put it back. They signed the executive order and they put it back. It was gone,” Trump continued, vowing to “abolish every Biden COVID mandate and rehire every patriot who was fired from our military with an apology and full back pay.”

America under Biden

Joe Biden's sneaky new 'alternative immigration program' escorting migrants in from Mexico, work permits in hand   "The ending of Title 42 COVID restrictions on illegal migrants by a federal judge pretty well signalled to millions of migrants that the border's open and no federal official can stop them so long as they utter the magic word 'asylum.'

That alone is grounds to expect the mother of all border surges.

But why stop there?

Rather than enforcing immigration laws and asylum abuse as the U.S. laws require, the White House has come up with a sneaky new plan to spirit the millions of migrants massing now at the border in without the Fox News helicopter cameras on them.

Why secret? Because with immigration law itself not stopping the Bidenites, the one thing that might is the public relations problem as millions of migrants surge at the border ahead of that Jan. 1 kickoff. That is why the new Biden program is being done on the quiet.

The Center for Immigration Studies's Todd Bensman has the story:". . .

FTX Boss and Democrat Super Donor Sam Bankman-Fried Cashed Out $300 Million During Funding Spree

"How generous? “Bankman-Fried gave roughly $40 million to Democrats during the 2022 election cycle, making him one of the biggest donors to a fundraising juggernaut that helped stave off a Republican wave in the midterms,” noted the Washington Free Beacon."

FTX Boss Cashed out

Issues & Insights  "Not only was crypto-billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried’s company, FTX, allegedly a fraud, but it spent huge sums on recent elections to get Democrats into office. Was this a case of massive election fraud? If so, it isn’t just Bankman-Fried who should be punished.

"In case you’re not caught up on all this, FTX, a futures exchange for crypto-currencies including its own, exploded into the public’s attention just after the election. That’s when it was revealed that FTX had questionably transferred or “loaned” some $10 billion to its sister company, Alameda Research, to “fund risky bets,” a highly questionable move seemingly to shore up Alameda’s finances.

"And yes, FTX was a big deal. It’s name is on an NBA arena. Its commercials featured NFL GOAT Tom Brady, as well as “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator Larry David.

"That brought media reports about some of the money, around $1 billion, simply “disappearing.” That was followed by a host of regulatory agencies and prosecutors launching investigations of the company.

"FTX has filed for bankruptcy, and its 30-year-old founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, has resigned.". . .

. . ."Americans deserve answers, given the enormous impact this bankrupt company had on recent elections. We hope the new House, now controlled by the Republicans, will add FTX and its political influence to the growing list of things that must be investigated to save our country from becoming a one-party state."(Emphasis mine.TD)

Kevin McCarthy Vows To Remove Squad Member Ilhan Omar From Committee

Kevin McCarthy Vows To Remove Squad Member Ilhan Omar From Committee (townhall.com)

When Democrats had control of the House in 2021, they removed Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) from her committee after she publicly supported QAnon. In response, McCarthy said that he would retaliate if he becomes elected speaker.

Kevin McCarthy vows to kick Ilhan Omar OFF the House Foreign Affairs Committee as speaker | Daily Mail Online  . . ."McCarthy could not remove Omar from a committee unless a majority of House members voted in favor of doing so, as a Twitter fact check on his claim points out.

"McCarthy has also previously promised to reinstate Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's committee assignments after Democrats stripped her of them after a number of incendiary statements. Now, Greene is a vocal McCarthy supporter and has promised to whip her Freedom Caucus colleagues in line behind him.

"Since being elected to Congress in 2018, Omar has been accused of antisemitism after a number of statement she's made. She once said it was 'all about the Benjamins' for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and tweeted, 'We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban,' seeming to equate Israel to Hamas.

"McCarthy's reference to 'what she said about me' likely points at when Omar called him 'a liar and a coward' after he refused to discipline Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., after she said Omar was a member of the 'jihad squad,' joking that she feared Omar, a Somali-American Muslim, carried a bomb.". . .

Shouldn't the Democrats want her off?

But can he?

The Speaker does not have the power to remove a member from a standing committee. Foreign Affairs is a standing committee. Each party has their own rules and procedures for assigning committee roles. Only a majority vote by the entire house could remove Rep. Omar. https://www.legbranch.org/2018-8-15-removing-house-members-from-standing-committees/ https://cha.house.gov/member-services/house-rules https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/GPO-HPREC-DESCHLERS-V1/pdf/GPO-HPREC-DESCHLERS-V1-3-3-8.pdf

Breaking: Ariz. AG Takes Action - Ballots Reported in Black Duffle Bags - Officials Broke Election Laws - State Demands Names

A worker carries a tray of mail-in ballots to open and verify at the Maricopa County
Tabulation and Election Center in Phoenix,

Western Journal  "Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright — with the Elections Integrity Unit — wrote a letter to the Maricopa County officials Saturday demanding an accounting for the widespread ballot tabulation and ballot printer problems seen during the general election on Nov. 8.

Among the most troubling issues raised in the letter directed to Thomas Liddy with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office was the apparent co-mingling of ballots in black duffle bags in at least one polling location, which were successfully run through the on-site tabulators with those put in “Door 3” to be sent to the Election Department’s downtown Phoenix tabulation center because they could not be read.

“The Elections Integrity Unit (“Unit”) of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office (“AGO”) has received hundreds of complaints since Election Day pertaining to issues related to the administration of the 2022 General Election in Maricopa County,” Wright opened her letter.

“These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law,” she continued.

"Wright wrote that statements made by Maricopa Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates and County Recorder Stephen Richer, along with other official communications from the county appear to confirm potential election law violations.". . .

The fatal flaw in our constitutional republic

Thus, when a major political party has some states blithely flout those basic rules, it can cause irreparable harm to the unity among the various states.  The system isn't set up to deal with a situation like that.  The justice system will be reluctant to make decisions in cases like this, and said political party knows this

D. Parker  "Are there any decent Democrats out there anymore?  Are they sick and tired of what the fascist far left has been doing to this country?  Have they become thoroughly disgusted by the lies, deception, cheating, and gaslighting promulgated by their side in a headlong pursuit of power?

"The election two years ago highlighted the fatal flaw in our constitutional republic — a flaw that only has been made worse this time around.  Our system isn't designed to withstand it if one side loses its moral underpinnings in favor of a lust for power and is willing to do anything to win.

"Many tried to ignore the problem back then, but it didn't help that leftist liberty-deniers jeered about the issue as preparation for using the same tactics in the midterms.

"Now it's happened once again, and the perpetrators have become even more polished in how they've manipulated the system they set up for a long past "emergency."  We can no longer whistle past the graveyard of constitutional republics and pretend that we even have a two-party system.

"There are those who argue that we should at least try to compete along the same lines as the illegitimate left, but whom are we kidding?  Leftists have set up the system to their advantage: a drawn-out election season favors those willing to vote for a living.  Activists who falsely think they are "saving the planet" or other such facile nonsense will always outcompete those who are actually useful to society.". . .

The left wages a sham war on inequality

Joseph Frascino  . . ."Democrat policies to achieve equality are outwardly compassionate, but inwardly Machiavellian.  Aside from guilty white liberals, their voting base continues to be those who are, or perceive themselves to be, disadvantaged,  marginalized, or “left out”.  If its base were to actually prosper or to see through its sham policies, its allegiance to the Party would erode, as appears to be happening in the Hispanic and Black communities.

Opening the border to unskilled, uneducated migrants, under the banner of amnesty, serves to offset such an erosion of its base.  Its disingenuous social construct of oppressors versus oppressed, rooted in identity politics, blaming solely the oppressors for the hardships of the oppressed, serves well to solidify, rally, and anger its base against its political adversaries.  But it is largely tilting with windmills, having no effect on inequality.  The disadvantaged must be kept in place with promises of hope and change and assaults on the oppressive social system for the Party to retain power.

"Inequality is a global phenomenon that is innate in nature.  Equality and a free society are mutually exclusive.  Perhaps equality will be realized when the human race has evolved into a clonal species of autistic hermaphrodites, but even then there will undoubtedly emerge those who harbor a latent alpha gene"….

Twitter lives as Musk pulls all-nighter… Banned accounts reappearing…

Revolver  "The naysayers said Twitter would go dark, but Musk has put himself in tight spots before and knows how to manage a crack team.". . .

. . ."Musk offers some more clarity on censorship policy. Question is, how do you define negative/hate tweets? This policy is not exactly in line with the 1st Amendment, as we were promised.

"We also see those Orwellian fact-checks are still there promoting official truths:. . ."

GOP Helps Dems Impose Gay Marriage on Everyone

The names of Democratic bills grow ever more Orwellian, from the laughable “Inflation Reduction Act” to the even more outrageous “Respect for Marriage Act.” The latter bill is a direct assault upon God-ordained marriage. It seeks to cement in place sham “same-sex marriage” and force all 50 states to recognize it. Far from respecting marriage, the bill undercuts the true definition. . .

The American Spectator

Twelve Republican senators join the Democrats in pushing the “Respect for Marriage Act” forward.

Matt Walsh: Republicans who vote for same-sex 'marriage' should be 'exiled from the party' - LifeSite (lifesitenews.com)

The bill passed the Senate with a 62-37 vote, surpassing the 60-vote threshold needed to move the legislation through the upper chamber to a vote without a filibuster. Twelve Republicans joined with their Democratic counterparts in supporting the measure, including Sens. Roy Blunt (R-MO), Richard Burr (R-NC), Shelley Capito (R-WV), Susan Collins (R-ME), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Rob Portman (R-OH), Mitt Romney (R-UT), Dan Sullivan (R-AK), Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Todd Young (R-IN).

Some Republican senators indicated they would back the bill before it was brought to the floor for a vote, such as Johnson who noted that marriage equality has long been considered a settled debate for many Americans.

"We've shown here through this legislation that these rights can coexist, religious freedom on the one hand, LGBTQ on the other hand," Portman said before the Senate vote on Wednesday. "It is my hope that with the changes we've talked about today and we've all now agreed to, we can pass this legislation with the same kind of overwhelming bipartisan majority we saw in the House of Representatives and therefore settle this issue once and for all."

Maybe denial is the driving factor in the 2022 election outcome

Sheldon Bart   "The starkest image emerging from the 2022 midterm elections, in my view, is the electoral map of the gubernatorial race in New York. The criminal-friendly Democrat incumbent, Kathy Hochul, who succeeded Andrew Cuomo upon his resignation, won election to a full term by 53%. But if you look at a map of the returns, you’ll see that the whole state was swathed in red except for a few blue patches here and there representing populous counties where crime is rampant.

"How do you figure that?

"Democrat voters are not a monolithic bloc. Yes, some are hard-core ideologues who swooned over Bernie Sanders. Some are recipients of public assistance and dependent on Democrat party largesse. Some are students and recent graduates majoring in insurrection.

"But they’re not all community organizers, and they don’t all hate America.". . .

. . ."But consider for a moment what the habitual Democrat would have had to acknowledge to vote Republican on November 8th:

1. That the President of the United States is a doddering mediocrity.

2. That the person (or persons) responsible for the policies and decisions emanating from the White House is a matter of conjecture.

3. That the administration’s policies are blatantly extremist and being implemented with ruinous effect.

4. That proper stewardship of the nation’s fiscal and energy resources is utterly lacking—to the point of precipitating a foreseeable crisis.

5. That large numbers of inner-city youth, trapped in broken homes or broken schools, are not being taught respect, self-control, or the difference between right and wrong.

6. That the freedoms, values, and checks and balances on which this country was founded are being left grossly unprotected.

7. That despite mounting challenges we are not presently capable of deterring our adversaries or defeating them on the battlefield.

"Perhaps it’s all too much to contemplate. The habitual Democrat voter prefers to remain incongruously oblivious. Look to the last scene of Life of Brian for the perfect analogy. The streets of Manhattan reek of marijuana. New Yorkers are being assaulted on the subways. Criminals have brazenly told their victims, “Go ahead, call the police, I don’t care.” But “always look on the bright side” and vote for Kathy Hochul.". . .

White House proposes blocking sunlight to fight global warming

And yet a U.S. regulatory agency now tells us that large swaths of North America may face blackouts and other energy emergencies during bouts of extreme cold this winter, due to coal and natural gas shortages.

Eric Utter  "The White House recently announced that it was funding a five-year research plan for a controversial proposal to fight climate change by geoengineering — i.e., technologies and processes that can be used to artificially modify the Earth's climate.

"This research would be dedicated specifically to a form of geoengineering known as "solar radiation management," which involves spraying fine aerosols into the atmosphere to reflect sunlight away from the Earth.  The hope is that, once the sunlight is reflected, less heat will be generated, and ergo temperatures will go down.  Presto: actual anthropogenic climate change!  A global SPF 100, as it were!

"The research reportedly will attempt to model how solar radiation management might impact the atmosphere, as well as assess its viability as a potential technique to be employed to "manage near-term climate risk."

"They're hoping to fight the scourge of climate change by blindly trying to change the climate?  What is it with Democrats?  They're also fighting racism with racial quotas and making race the primary consideration in, well, everything.  That's working well, isn't it?  Next, they'll propose fighting drug abuse by giving out free needles and crack pipes.  Oh wait, they're already doing that.  Why haven't they yet suggested we combat STDs by having indiscriminate sex with as many other people as possible?

"Now they're going to "cancel" the sun, without which life on Earth would be impossible?  What could go wrong?!

"And would this be a unilateral decision?  "Hope the rest of you guys don't mind, but we're blocking the sun!  Oops, we didn't expect that!  Our bad.  Sorry, might be a bit chillier than we'd like for a while!"

"And yet a U.S. regulatory agency now tells us that large swaths of North America may face blackouts and other energy emergencies during bouts of extreme cold this winter, due to coal and natural gas shortages.". . .

If they can't find it, Democrats will make it:
