Legal Insurrection update:"HILARIOUS! MSNBC Crank Argues “Obamacare” Is the New N-Word"

The Gateway Pundit  via Far North Dallas Tea Party Patriots
"Too funny.
"MSNBC crank Melissa Harris-Perry tries her darnedest to equate the word “ 'Obamacare” with the n-word.
"This was so pathetic it was hilarious:"

"The Daily Caller reported
MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry suggested the term “Obamacare” and the N-word are interchangeable, claiming both were “conceived by a group of wealthy white men who needed to . . . render [a black man] inferior and unequal and diminish his accomplishments.”
Is MSNBC capable of embarrassment?

UPDATE from Legal Insurrection: No, Melissa Harris-Perry, “Obamacare” was not conceived by rich white men
"Actually, “Obamacare” as a term was concieved by a woman who used it to compare to other health care proposals, to which she also appended the term “care” to the politician’s name, as The Atlantic reported in October 2011, Who Coined ‘Obamacare’?"

USA Today update: Obama embraces the term 'Obamacare'
" 'The Affordable Care Act -- also known as Obamacare," Obama said to applause from backers at the University of Denver.
" 'I actually like the name," he added. "Because I do care -- that's why we fought so hard to make it happen.' "

Conservatives hijack fast food workers protest across America

Dana

BizPac Review
"Organized labor advocates targeted fast food restaurants across America on Thursday, calling for an increase in the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
"An eager media looking for a reason to turn away from the disastrous roll out of Obamacare advertised the day’s activities as a one day strike for higher wages by fast food workers."

"In reality, there were far more left-wing activists “on strike” than there were fast food workers, and these union agitators turned to Twitter to help draw attention to their efforts, using the hashtag:

"Not a smart move, considering how thoroughly the right dominates Twitter.
Conservative comedian Stephen Kruiser was quick to hijack the hashtag, with his own take on the effort “to keep workers in entry-level jobs,” as described by Twitchy.com:"

Your 2013 Christmas Naughty or Nice Preferred Retailer Shopping List

A View from the Right
Santa's Naughty or Nice Retailer Shopping List

"You will find the latest updates to the “Naughty or Nice” Christmas retailer list at American Family Association’s website where they make regular updates to this list. The focus on this list is to support those retailers who support the Christian reason for the holiday rather than those who have made the naughty list and refuse to acknowledge the reason for the holiday while using it to move their yearly earnings out of the red and into the black. In past years I’ve been shocked at some of the Christmas retailers who made the “Naughty List”. One that shocked me the most was finding that Nascar had made the naughty list when you consider just who their fan base is. This year I am not seeing Nascar mentioned, but would hope AFA would find their position on Christmas and add them into one of their lists so Nascar fans can be informed as to their current position on the holiday.

Krauthammer: Democrats will rue vote on the nuclear option (Video)  "Krauthammer suggested the Senate's nuclear option was retaliation for the criticism Democrats dealt with from the GOP for the fumbled rollout of ObamaCare.
" 'They do want to have the power to at least put some judges in because they are losing from all other elements of their agenda," he said. "But the Republicans will return the favor in the future.' "

JFK and a Silly Little Communist
“He didn’t even have the satisfaction of being killed for civil rights. It’s — it had to be some silly little Communist.”
Jacqueline Kennedy, Nov. 22, 1963
131123 oswald-silly-little-communist
... "The real conspiracy about the Kennedy Assassination is the myth built by the left that sinister right wing forces cut down the young president – when it was really just a silly little Communist."
Now Democrats are not limited to blaming a single political philosophy; they can make nearly half the American electorate the villains, which TV shows such as Law [and] Order did readily.

George Will: ‘The Education of This President Is a Protracted and Often Amusing Process’. "...- as it was this week - as he continues to alight upon the obvious with a sense of profound and original discovery. He's alighting on what is obvious to governors. This is really why we should have governors more often than senators as president."

"Actually, it might be amusing for commentators, but it's not amusing for Americans to watch a president in his second term still learning the basics about how our government works.
"This is indeed why we rarely in our history elect senators as president and instead rely on governors that have demonstrated an ability to govern.
Unfortunately, the media didn't care about this in 2008 as they aided and abetted the election of a junior senator from Illinois with absolutely no qualifications for the highest office in the land other than being a charismatic Democrat that they fell in love with.
"What might end up being sadder is it looks like after eight years of this failed experiment they're going to back another Democrat they're in love with who also has no experience running anything.
"Are liberal media members capable of learning from their mistakes?"

Impeachment Lessons; The Nineties taught us it’s not guilt that matters; it’s political will.

A lesson in government that must be heeded:

rogueoperator
Andrew C. McCarthy  .... "Not only is impeachment the intended constitutional remedy for systematic presidential lawlessness; it is, practically speaking, the only remedy.

"It is beyond cavil that the president is willfully undermining the constitutional system that he swore to preserve, protect, and defend. He presumes to rewrite, and dramatically alter, the laws he vowed to execute faithfully — not once in a blue moon but as a deliberate scheme of governance."
....
"Today’s Democrats, however, are less members of a party than of the movement Left. Their objective, like Obama’s, is fundamental transformation of a society rooted in individual liberty and private property to one modeled on top-down, redistributionist statism. " ....

I'm sure foremost in the minds of those who consider impeachment of this president is knowing there will be "Rodney King" rioting in the streets of this now-third-world nation. Nelson Mandela could heal a nation, but Obama can only divide one.

The Idles of the Boy-King
At the apex, a monumental throne was being assembled, and upon it, a sculpted image of the boy king. The humongous frontispiece was to become a wonder to behold: a behemoth in the midst of the desert to remind the slaves and wanderers of the all-seeing eye of the majestic sovereign. And surrounding the gigantic structure as far as the eye can see were to be lines and lines of towering, whirling windmills....

148 Years Ago, The Republican Party Passed The 13th Amendment Outlawing Slavery

So where did the pro-segregation Dixiecrats go?   "Contrary to legend, it makes no sense for them to join with the Republican Party whose history is replete with civil rights achievements. The answer is, they returned to the Democrat party and rejoined others such as George Wallace, Orval Faubus, Lester Maddox, and Ross Barnett. Interestingly, of the 26 known Dixiecrats (5 governors and 21 senators) only three ever became republicans: Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms and Mills E. Godwind, Jr. The segregationists in the Senate, on the other hand, would return to their party and fight against the Civil Rights acts of 1957, 1960 and 1964. Republican President Dwight Eisenhower proffered the first two Acts."

Election Integrity Activists: Obamacare 'Biggest Voter Registration Fraud Scheme in History'

Big Government  "Phillips and Catherine Engelbrecht of True The Vote, another election integrity group, cite as proof what left-wing organizations are saying about how they plan to use Obamacare. Demos, a left-wing organization funded by liberal billionaire George Soros, published a report earlier this year titled: “Building a Healthy Democracy: Registering 68 Million People to Vote Through Health Benefit Exchanges.”

"On page six of the report, author Lisa Danetz argues that Obamacare “will enroll 68 million individuals.' ”

Krauthammer's Take: America's Pacific Allies Should Be Worried

"Charles Krauthammer had harsh words Wednesday night for American foreign policy when it came to China’s establishment of a zone of control over the East China Sea.
“ 'We had one strong response, which was to send American warplanes into that zone without obeying the Chinese demand that you check in with them,” Krauthammer said on Special Report, lauding the pair of B-52 bombers that flew through the airspace. However, he lamented that the U.S. has ordered its civilian airlines to comply with the Chinese rules even as Japan has told its airlines to ignore them.
"Acknowledgement of the zone by the American government “undercut . . . and alarmed” the Japanese, Krauthammer said.
"America’s allies in the region, he said, were right to worry that the United States might be putting its relationship with China ahead of them, just as it appears to be putting its relationship with Iran ahead of its allies in the Middle East."

Ted Cruz and Mike Lee being vindicated on shutdown

Thomas Lifson   "The GOP establishment is loath to admit it, but the government shutdown is turning out to be a brilliant political chess move on the part of Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee. The Obamacare disaster, fully predictable by anyone who understands the effect of incentives and the fundamental incompetence of academic theorists and left wing ideologues, has made the go-for-broke attempt to stop it an obvious profile in courage. "

.... "President Obama's promise that it will not be repealed "while I am president" makes his ego the problem, and Democrats who support him become equally culpable."

Related: Play Him as He Lies   " Fortunately, there is a way out for those whom our president has liberated from those embarrassingly flawed, “bad-apple” schemes. “So if you’re getting one of these letters,” he said in that “better put some ice on it” way he has with people of all ethnicities, “just shop around in the new marketplace.” Only he could make it sound like the marketplace he shopped around in during his Choom Gang binges."

The Minimum Wages of Politics (Updated)

NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE       "Economic inequality” is to be the great theme of the remainder of the Obama administration, the president announced in a speech that combined rank economic ignorance with shallow demagoguery. And the first item on Barack Obama’s new economic agenda is an increase in the federal minimum wage to $9, higher than the minimum wage in any state excepting Washington.  (Emphasis added)
"President Obama can reliably be counted upon to ignore elementary economics — which is to say, reality — when it is politically attractive to do so, and this case is no exception. A wage is a price — the price of labor — and raising prices lowers demand, other things being constant. The effects of a minimum-wage increase probably would not be dramatic on their own, since relatively few employed Americans make the minimum wage, though it will raise the bottom rung of the economic ladder another few inches out of the reach of those without sufficient skills or education to command a higher wage in the marketplace."
....
Low-information voters and Democrats in general may not grasp this next point since their priority is keeping power at this nation's expense:
"There is a way to increase wages while increasing overall employment, and that is to raise the demand for labor. Unfortunately for the planners and schemers in Washington, doing so requires more than simply passing a law. Higher demand for labor is the result of a growing and productive economy...."
