Why Republicans Lose All the Time

Republicans lose because Republicans refuse to fight. They – the party and candidates – should be on the air right now with 30 second spots designed to educate the public, giving them “What the Democrats don’t want you to know”

Why Republicans Lose All the Time (townhall.com)  "You can have all the facts on your side and still lose an argument. How? Because the other side is not bound by facts, they’re arguing emotion, and emotion always overrides facts. It sounds stupid, it is stupid, but it’s also true. Think about the things you’ve apologized for in your life – I’d give you odds it was for things you said in the heat of the moment, not after thinking about the situation in a cool, rational way. That emotion factor is a big part of why Republicans always seem to get rolled when it comes to policy debates, but it’s not the only reason."

"Congressman James Comer, who this week laid out a damning case of corruption and influence peddling against the entire Biden family, for reasons unknown, decided to toss in a “this is a bipartisan problem” at the end of his presentation. He threw in, “It is not ethical. And this is why we need legislative solutions. Our purpose here is to provide legislative solutions to prevent this unethical behavior from ever happening again.” No, the purpose should be to weed out the corrupt and, whenever possible, remove them from office and prosecute them. More laws won’t prevent people Derek Hunter May 14, 2023 PRICE DROP inclined to break laws from breaking laws, only consequences will. Has Chairman Comer not been paying attention to cities with progressive prosecutors?
"When you change the focus of an investigation from exposing the corruption of certain people to “everyone does it, so we have to make it harder to do it in the future” you lose your audience, and Republicans already have a hard enough time gathering an audience.

Ketanji Brown Jackson disclosure errors spotlighted in Senate Supreme Court hearing amid Thomas scrutiny

  Washington Examiner

Earlier in the hearing, ranking member Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called the recent reports on the justices a "concentrated effort by the Left to delegitimize the court and to cherry-pick examples to make a point."

"Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's transparency gaps were brought up during a hearing on high court ethics reform by Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA), who asked why the Democrats didn't levy the same scrutiny against her as they did with Justice Clarence Thomas.

"Kennedy's questions came during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on ethics after reports revealed Thomas failed to disclose paid trips he went on with wealthy GOP donor Harlan Crow. Democrats have called on Congress to impose ethics rules, while Republicans largely say the justices are capable of governing themselves.". . .

. . ."Justice Jackson made multiple amendments three days after President Biden nominated her. Not one senator brought that up during her confirmation hearings. Not one of my colleagues here walked into her hearings with the buckets of mud that they've thrown against Justice Thomas. Not one," Kennedy said.

"In September, Jackson disclosed that she had “inadvertently omitted” information about self-employed consulting income that her spouse received from consulting on medical malpractice cases. Her revisions also revealed new information about reimbursements for travel and board memberships stemming back to at least 2014, according to Bloomberg."

The media play duck and cover for Joe Biden

 NY Post

The cost is unfathomable, yet activists already are pressing for work papers and citizenship. Next up — Democratic Party enrollment.

"There’s no ducking the central fact — these are hard times in America.

"The combination of domestic and foreign turbulence is creating a crises of confidence in the nation’s leadership, making these days especially difficult for one group of Americans: the media people whose job is to shield Joe Biden from any and all blame.

"Talk about a tough assignment!

"Fortunately for the president, there is a creative cadre of bunco artists who can be counted on to see no evil when he throws open the southern border or when his extended family gets fat checks from foreign potentates and princelings.

""These people used to be known as journalists but then came a man named Donald Trump and, by winning an election, caused them to lose their minds and morals.

"They responded by dividing the world into Trumps and anti-Trumps and declared the Trumps to be permanently ignorant and evil, with the anti-Trumps always virtuous and vulnerable.

"Seven years later, monkeys typing produce more trustworthy reports.

"That’s not to sneer at the considerable skill and strong stomachs required to try to make Biden look like a good president and an honest man.". . .

'That's just not happening': California lawmaker sparks furious backlash after warning black residents NOT to get their hopes up for seven-figure reparations checks - as Gavin Newsom reveals budget deficit is $10 BILLION higher than forecast

California lawmakers warn black residents not to get hopes up for seven-figure reparations checks | Daily Mail Online

"A Californian state senator has urged black residents of his state to be 'realistic' about reparations, a week after the task force - set up to look into the issue - approved its final proposals.

"The task force has not announced how much they think should be given to eligible residents.

"Economists studying the issue have argued the state is responsible for more than $500 billion, due to decades of over-policing, mass incarceration and redlining that kept black families from receiving loans and living in certain neighborhoods.

"Their plan must be approved by the governor, Gavin Newsom, who has already said he does not support the distribution of checks, arguing that there are better ways to deal with the legacy of racist policies.

"On Friday, Newsom said the state's budget deficit is expected to soar to almost $32 billion, nearly $10 billion more than he had projected in January.

"A state senator who sits on the nine-member task force said people should not get their hopes up. ". . .

. . ."Now, however, after a predictable media storm and backlash from the black activists whose hopes he had raised with the reparations task force, Newsom is moving back in the opposite direction. The Sacramento Bee reports:

A spokesperson for Newsom clarified his comments in an email statement to The Bee.

“The sensationalized framing in pieces published by outlets like Fox News and others is inaccurate. The Governor looks forward to reviewing the final report — and all recommendations — when complete.”

Newsom’s chief communication advisor, Anthony York said that Newsom is not backing away from cash payments, but wants to wait for the report in its entirety to arrive on his desk before he makes any decision. . . .

FOX Corp Suddenly Decides to Air Trump's Iowa Rally as Numbers Continue to Flatline Following Their Move to Fire Tucker Carlson |

Before dumping FOX, remember those there whom we still respect: John Roberts, Harris Faulkner and the "Outnumbered" panelists, Bret Baier and Britt Hume, Lawrence Roberts, Mollie Hemingway, Kayleigh McEnany, to name just a few. TD

The Gateway Pundit | by Jim Hoft   "FOX News continues to hemorrhage viewers following the company’s decision to fire their top cable news host Tucker Carlson.

"Tucker was averaging 3.2 million viewers a night in his primetime slot.
"On Tuesday after his firing, FOX News had only 1.7 million viewers at 8 PM.

"Since then FOX News has lost two-thirds of their viewers in the coveted 8 PM timeslot.

Luxxle: Is this the search engine conservatives have been looking for?

  American Thinker

If I click “Lean Right” and “Freshness,” I no longer get CNN and the New York Times. Instead, the news comes from JustTheNews and Breitbart, and even The Gateway Pundit and Newsmax:

"American Thinker receives hundreds of promotional emails a week. Most swiftly head to the circular file. However, last week I received an email from a woman named Molly Koweek, promising that Luxxle, her employer’s search engine, is truly revolutionary. Her email piqued my interest, so I did something I very rarely do: I set up a phone call. So far, it appears that she didn’t oversell anything; Luxxle really is something different, especially for those who are sick of seeing the major search engines ignore conservative content or give them such a low ranking that they essentially vanish. It’s still imperfect, but it’s better than the alternatives.

"As you can imagine, since I write posts every day, I frequently turn to search engines to help me track down information I know exists, so that I can provide a link to support my factual assertions. And every day, no matter the search engine I use, I run into the same problem: If I saw the facts on a conservative site, the search engines make it almost impossible to locate the source, and that’s true even if I include the site’s name in the search itself.

"Instead, especially for controversial topics (COVID, Trump, J6, etc.), I get pages of content from the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, etc.. Sometimes, these sources have the fact I’m seeking but, usually, I have to wade through paragraphs of leftist agitprop to find the fact buried in a paragraph at the end of the article. I waste incredible amounts of time thanks to the search engines’ manifest bias and link to sites to which I’d rather not send traffic.

"That’s why I got interested when Molly’s email said," . . .

. . ."In other words, for some searches, Im no worse off than I am at Bing, Google, or DuckDuckGo, and for other searches, I’m in much better shape. Given that there's no seeming downside and only an upside for making the switch, I’ve set Luxxle as my default search engine."

Corrupt influence: The Biden family vs. Clarence Thomas and "white supremacy -

By contrast, the foreign adversaries who paid the Bidens many millions of dollars absolutely had business before Joe Biden.

American Thinker   "The White House claims Joe Biden has no problem unless it’s shown that Biden actually changed a policy decision as a result of the money he and his family received from our foreign adversaries. (The mainstream media keeps saying that there is no evidence Biden himself received any money from foreign adversaries, but emails and testimony of Biden's business partners are evidence that he did.)

"Proving that Biden changed his policies is almost impossible, and it’s not the right standard. It’s difficult to do because you can’t x-ray somebody’s brain as to why they did something. That’s why Supreme Court justices need to recuse themselves if they have a conflict. They don't rule on a case and then challenge critics to prove their decision was made as a result of the conflict.

You want four more years of THIS?

"But it’s pretty clear that the tens of millions of dollars paid to the Bidens by US adversaries were being paid for a reason. The only thing of value being provided by the Biden family in return for vast sums of money was Biden’s political influence. And the efforts the Bidens made to hide what they were doing by running the money through third-party intermediaries and shell companies (facts not reported by the MSM) shows they knew it was wrong.

"The Democrats are all over Clarence Thomas principally because he took vacations paid for by Harlan Crow. Crow had no business before the Court, and his critics are not claiming otherwise. If he had, Thomas should have recused himself. But the critics aren’t even suggesting that Thomas changed a decision as a result of Harlan Crow’s largesse or any other source of financial conflict.? . . .

Biden at HBCU: White supremacy is the most dangerous threat to our homeland – HotAir    "Really, Joe? White supremacy is the most dangerous threat to our homeland? Our racist president is at it again. Joe Biden never misses an opportunity to racially divide Americans while railing against racism.

"Biden delivered the commencement address at Howard University on Saturday. Howard University, a HBCU and the alma mater of Kamala Harris, welcomed the president and his warnings about the threats they face as they go out into the world. He assured the grads that he wasn’t making such an outrageous statement just because he was speaking at a “black HBCU”, which of course was the very reason he was doing it. Does Grandpa Joe understand that the ‘B’ in HBCU stands for black, so saying a black HBCU is redundant? When he speaks to predominantly white audiences he says the greatest threat is climate change.

"Joe Biden is running for re-election and black voters are not very eager to go and cast a vote for him again. He can’t win without a strong showing from black voters, especially black women who are so loyal to Democrats and will want to support Kamala in 2024 as Joe’s vice president. So, he was in deep pander mode." . . .

. . ."Pointing his finger, he added, “And I’m not just saying this because I’m at a Black HBCU. I say this wherever I go.” The audience laughed.". . .

Journalist Julie Kelly replied, “No you’re saying it because you’re a pathological liar propped up by the media to help fuel dangerous racial division.”

And New York Post journalist Miranda Devine simply tweeted “Pure evil” in response to Biden’s line.

Below: The Republican Party was born at the time Democrats were promoting racial fear.

Joe Biden campaigns for black votes; best he can do is offer racial division, instead of jobs and prosperity

 Monica Showalter

Biden of course is an elderly white man with a record of racially skeevy statements -- everything from declaring President Obama 'clean' and 'articulate.' to criticizing racial desegregation measures as a 'racial jungle,' to making offensive jokes about industrious Indian immigrants working in low-wage service jobs, serving him.

. . ."His Republican rivals have made many such 'firsts' too, so that's not the winning hand he wants his audience to think.

What he's offering is thin gruel, if not downright slop, compared to what his predecessor, President Trump, brought to the black community on his watch.

Under Trump, black Americans "thrived" economically, as USAToday put it. Black unemployment rate hit record lows, accompanied by record-high black labor force participation. Black homeownership rose to new heights, and black prosperity amassed significantly.

It did so for the same reason those economic indicators rose significantly among white Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, handicapped people, ex-prisoners, and everyone else -- tax cuts, ending bureaucratic red tape on job-creators and creating respect abroad.

How CNN Just Boosted Trump

 Ben Shapiro (jewishworldreview.com)

CNN found itself on the wrong end of the outrage machine from the liberal commentariat. The irrepressibly insipid Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY., tweeted, "CNN should be ashamed of themselves...

"This week, former President Donald Trump appeared on a CNN town hall. That day, he trumpeted the upcoming event on his social media platforms. "I'll be doing CNN tonight live from the great state of New Hampshire because CNN is rightfully desperate to get those Trump ratings back," Trump said with a wry grin. "They were ratings like none other, and they want them back. They made me a deal they couldn't refuse. It could be the beginning of a new and vibrant CNN with no more fake news, or it could be a total disaster for all, including me. Let's see what happens, tonight at 8 o'clock!"

"Trump pitched the event like a WWE Monday Night Raw.

"And it was.

"It was kayfabe of the highest order. And it helped Trump immensely.

"CNN pitched the event as a kickoff to primary season. In that spirit, they invited Republican primary voters from New Hampshire to fill the auditorium. Moderator Kaitlin Collins, presumably, would ask questions that Republican voters cared about. They would then be able to use Trump's answers to gauge whether to vote for him.

"That's not what happened.

"Instead, Collins asked a series of questions only Democrats care about. She asked about Jan. 6. She asked about Trump's election denial. She asked about classified documents. She asked about E. Jean Carroll. In short, Collins provided Trump with precisely what he wanted: an adversarial CNN foe he could absolutely pummel, to the delight of the friendly crowd. The entire event played to Trump's strengths: he was aggressive; he was funny, and transgressively funny at that (of E. Jean Carroll, he noted disbelievingly, "her cat was named Vagina!"); and he refused to give an inch on any of his positions.

"Trump under fire from the Left draws nothing but admiration from most Republicans,". . .

Let’s stop acting like Jan. 6 was worse than the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots

 Washington Examiner

"Former President Donald Trump’s town hall on Wednesday night triggered much, if not all, of the liberal media. Almost in unison, they repeated the same talking points. Unfortunately, this resurrected much of the Left’s theatrical devastation over the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol.

"Unquestionably, the Jan. 6 riots were terrible. Some Trump supporters will try to justify it as a necessary action against voter integrity issues or election interference. Those people would be wrong: under no circumstance is it OK to storm the Capitol. The Constitution protects the “right of the people peaceably to assemble,” not engage in chaos and anarchy to express displeasure. So, any condemnation over Jan. 6 is justifiable.

"That being said, I am sick and tired of hearing about Jan. 6. More importantly, I am even more sick and tired of people pretending that the Jan. 6 riot was worse than the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020. Despite the carnage those riots caused, few, if any, on the Left criticized or condemned them. And definitely nobody on the Left labeled them a threat to our country — despite some riots, including attempts to burn down federal buildings. It’s left-wing political propaganda and manipulation at its finest.

"Decades of left-wing brainwashing and indoctrination in schools have led many people to believe that unarmed black men are hunted and killed by police officers . . .

How does a president most Americans don't believe is fit to serve run for reelection?

. . ."Plus, there's another factor to consider. Who will Biden run against? If he runs against  " Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is 36 years younger than Biden, there is nothing Biden can do to neutralize the age matter. If he runs against former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), who is 29 years younger than Biden, there is nothing he can do. If he runs against Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is 23 years younger, there is nothing he can do. Even if he runs against former Vice President Mike Pence, after former President Donald Trump the most senior Republican in the race but 17 years younger than Biden, there is nothing he can do.". . .

. . ."One last thing. An anti-MAGA campaign will be a very, very ugly campaign. There will be daily slanders, daily outrages, and daily combat. Republicans and conservatives who rankle at being called Nazis and fascists and traitors and insurrectionists and authoritarians and much, much more should be prepared. It will be hard to take. But if Biden is on the ballot in November 2024, it will be his best, and perhaps only, hope."

Have you been raised and indicted by Democrats

The tactics pictured above will bring our nation THIS:

Four more years of this?

https://twitter.com/i/status/1656479735709589504   From the comments to this:

"Well we definitely don’t want 4 more years of this! Highest inflation in 40 years, consumer debt through the roof, earnings down, crime way up, wars, food and medicine shortages, self inflicted energy shortage and border crisis. No thanks."

Democrats giddy at Trump indictment, but legal experts warn case is weak (nypost.com) . . ."Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) — who controversially exclaimed of Trump in 2019, “We’re going to impeach this motherf–ker!” — tweeted, “No one is above the law. Not even a former, twice-impeached President of the United States.”

"Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-Calif.) tweeted, “I will always believe that this twice-impeached former president is a threat to our democracy. This indictment is one of many steps to ensure that we are a country for and by the people, and that no one is above the law.”

"Other Democrats claimed they weren’t celebrating the development, which Trump alleged was Bragg “doing Joe Biden’s dirty work.”

" 'The indictment of a former president is a somber day for America. It’s also a time to put faith in our judicial system,” Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) said in a press release.". . .

Well, except Hillary Clinton, Al Sharpton. Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell, Anybody named Biden, and other unnamed Democrats.

Victor Davis Hanson: Weaponizing death

 Victor Davis Hanson

"Recently, there has been a spate of horrific murders.

"The killers, whether committing mass shootings or single homicides, are hard to stereotype.

"They can be clearly either mentally ill or simply innately evil. They can kill for revenge, for ideological purposes, out of hatred, for notoriety — or for no known reason at all.

"They are probably left-wing and right-wing, white, Black, and brown, young, and old. While their weapons of choice are semi-automatic rifles, there are plenty of killers who favor handguns and even knives.

"Unfortunately, these tragedies have increasingly become politicized.

"Yet our media and politicians do not apply a common standard of reporting about either the victims, the killers, or the apparent motives and circumstances of the violence.

"Instead, each horror is quickly analyzed for its political usefulness. Then its details are selectively downplayed or emphasized, depending upon the political agenda at work.

"A sad example was the terrible murder spree at the private Christian Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. A transgender male shot and killed six people, including three 9-year-old children.

"Almost immediately, three media narratives emerged.

"One, semi-automatic weapons, not the killer Audrey Hale, were mostly responsible for the massacre.

"Two, the shooter’s transgender identity profile played no role in the killing whatsoever."

"Three, the public had no need to know of the contents of the shooter’s “manifesto.”

"Why?" . . .
