Age is only a number until you are totally incompetent

I would add something else to Mr. Stephens' point. President Trump's presidency looks more and more successful every day by comparison. Who wouldn't love to have those gasoline prices back?  What mom wouldn't love to go grocery store shopping and pay Trump prices when putting items in the cart? People were better off under Trump's policies and I have not mentioned China running around the world or Iran making noises or Mexico turning more violent by the week.

Silvio Canto, Jr.- American Thinker   . . ." Over at the New York Times, Bret Stephens tried to explain why Americans are down on Biden.  This is what he wrote:

NYT columnist Bret Stephens first noted the increased price of eggs and white bread. He added that the price of gasoline was "up 63 percent since January 2021, the month Biden became president."

"The news isn’t all that good. Americans are unsettled by things that are not always visible in headlines or statistics but are easy enough to see," Stephens wrote.

He also added that the White House was obviously not touting those numbers.

"The inflation ordinary people experience in everyday life is not the one the government prefers to highlight," he wrote.

Stephens also pointed to "the collapse of public order," the border crisis, concerns about his age and "a humiliating Afghanistan withdrawal."

"It's the economy, stupid, plus Afghanistan and the border too. So much seems to be out of tune, as my high school music teacher used to say. Or to use a baseball analogy, your fastball ain't fast anymore." . . .

Military readiness: By focusing on “white supremacy,” transgenderism, and DEI issues in the armed forces, Biden’s policies have contributed to a decline in U.S. military readiness and hamstrung recruiting efforts.

Karine Jean-Pierre Gives Laughable Excuse for Biden Walking out of Medal of Honor Ceremony

.
. ."So let me get this straight. The White House was so worried about Biden possibly passing COVID-19 to those in the room that he couldn't stand there an extra few minutes to hear the closing prayer, but it was fine for him to be there in the first place? And if he didn't want to expose the audience, wouldn't it make more sense for him to let the audience members leave first so he doesn't prance right through the middle of them? I mean, come on. That doesn't begin to make sense. " . . .

"Think about it. If Biden was recently exposed to COVID-19 via his wife, and the administration is of the belief that he could pass the virus to others, then there's no justification to have him in the room at all. Personally, I doubt there was any danger to anyone, and certainly, the discussion of masks between Jean-Pierre and the reporter is hilarious to me, given what we know about their lack of efficacy, but the White House certainly thinks masks work.

"Given that, wasn't it inappropriate and dangerous for Biden to remove his mask within inches of another elderly gentleman? Isn't that a breach of protocol, especially given Jean-Pierre goes on to claim that the president will be wearing a mask when meeting with world leaders soon?

"To be frank, I'm not buying any of this. I think Biden simply got confused and left the ceremony earlier because that's exactly the kind of thing he would do. These attempts to backfill an explanation just come across as dumb and unbelievable. ". . .

. . ."Hey, if Joe Biden doesn't want to wear a mask, I'm down with that.  As my colleague Bob Hoge previously explained:

Also, a major February study from the Cochrane Library—which is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)—showed that wearing a mask was effectively useless in stopping the virus, so why would anyone want to? Not to mention that then-White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha said in December 2022, "There is no study in the world that shows that masks work that well."

"In my personal opinion, masks should be an optional thing, with businesses and medical offices and the like being allowed to set their own rules rather than mandates being put in place by the states/feds to force the issue.

"The problem is that the federal government's preferred "experts" on the matter, like Dr. Anthony Fauci, keep pushing for their use, and when Fauci says "jump," BidenCo. usually says "How high?' "

Joe Biden Isn't Just Coming Across as Inept, Republicans Are Succeeding in Making Him Toxic – RedState   . . ."Americans don't have far to look for reasons against voting for Joe Biden in 2024. It seems that a significant majority across the policy board think he's done a pretty terrible job. We're now two years out from his disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, and ever since that moment, Americans by and large haven't really trusted that the best people are in charge of our government."

Larry Sinclair Says He Hooked Up With Barack Obama in Limo; Obama Showed Up For More the Next Day

View for yourself and decide

Tucker Carlson Interviews Obama Accuser Larry Sinclair › American Greatness  “In 2008, it became really clear that Barack Obama had been having sex with men and smoking crack,” he told podcast host Adam Carolla last week. “I talked to Larry Sinclair about it. Definitely it happened.” Carlson acknowledged that Sinclair has a sketchy background and a record of deception, but insisted that his story about Obama is the truth.

“ 'Larry Sinclair has been in and out of prison 40 years ago, he’s got a criminal record by definition and he’s poor, he’s got a disordered life, he’s missing a tooth,” Carlson said. “I think he has a record of deception but this story if you listen to it in detail, is clearly true.”

"He added: “It’s not going to change the world that Barack Obama likes dudes, I think this was well-known." . . .”

As Bonchie cautioned in his piece Tuesday:

It is important to note that Sinclair's claims are not new. He made the same accusations when then-Senator Obama was running for president in 2008, though the story gained little traction and was roundly dismissed. For further context, Sinclair is a convicted felon and has been in prison for forgery and fraud, among other things. He also tried and failed to run for mayor of a small town in Florida in 2018. Individual viewers will have to decide how Sinclair's past speaks to his credibility or lack thereof.

. . ."Larry Sinclair Reveals What Happened With Barack Obama in the Back of a Limo

"I had given Barack $250 to pay for [cocaine] ... I start to put a line on a CD tray, and I just happen to notice that he pulls something else out of his pocket, and next thing I know, he's got a little pipe, and he's smoking. So I don't have an issue with it. I mean, some people smoke, some people snort. So, as I'm doing a line, this is the part where you kind of make your move to see where things are going. So I just started rubbing my hand along his thigh to see where it was going, and it went the direction I had intended it to go. So the night became somewhat active, sexually and drug-wise, in the limo."

"However...

Getting black people not to vote for Biden -

Don Surber    "Biden is in trouble so deep that the meatheads in the media have noticed."

"Salena Zito reported, “Democrats beware: These black voters are fed up, and looking for a political home.”

"She is a fine reporter who goes out and talks to people one human being to another. That gets her insights the talking heads don’t get from talking among themselves.

"Zito reported, “Ardell Martin of Duquesne says the Democrat Party has taken Black voters for granted for too long and no longer represents middle class black people; she is unhappy with Joe Biden and has no interest in Donald Trump.”

"Duquesne is a suburb of Pittsburgh. It also has a violent crime rate 3 times higher than the nation. Need I mention it is 58% black? If that offends you, too bad. Uncomfortable truths are the most important ones.

"And the uncomfortable truth for President Trump is he is not going to get many black votes, but that is OK because Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan won 6 presidential races without the black vote; 5 were landslide victories.

"The key to all this is remembering there are three ways to vote, not just two. The first is to vote Republican, the second is to vote Democrat, and the third way is to stay home — or vote a third party." . . .

Couldn't the Military Industrial Complex Make Its Money in Mexico?

 Ann Coulter (townhall.com)

As we also know, Mexico's drug cartels have killed more Americans than have died in all foreign wars combined. They've killed more Americans than every terrorist group in history. Year after year, they kill more Americans than died in the entire course of the Vietnam War.

. . ."As we also know, Mexico's drug cartels have killed more Americans than have died in all foreign wars combined. They've killed more Americans than every terrorist group." . . .

"And in the past 18 months, we've doled out more than $75 billion to Ukraine to fight Vladimir Putin. Please explain how Putin is a greater threat to any American than the wasting away and miserable deaths of hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens, to say nothing of the gobs of taxpayer money lavished on pointless social services to "rehabilitate" the unrehabilitatable. (Plus the multiple millions lost to pure corruption.)

" Our "foreign policy community" will pay any price, bear any burden, to make some random part of the world safer -- as long as it's not America.

"Here's how things would have gone if the warmongers, er, "foreign policy community," had been advising Winston Churchill in the run-up to World War II:

"1925 CHURCHILL: Have any of you read "Mein Kampf"? Apparently, Mr. Hitler lays out a plan for German conquest of all of central Europe.

"Sir, we're not wasting our time on that nonsense. Please focus: The important thing is that Chile just elected a liberal democrat, Emiliano Figueroa, who faces major opposition from the far-left labor party. They hate us for our freedoms! Britain's No. 1 foreign policy goal is to back Figueroa.

"1928 CHURCHILL: Is anybody paying attention to this Hitler chap in Germany? He's barking mad, and he's a lot closer to England than any Chilean leftists. What? Are you a blood and soil type? We've pulled out of Chile, anyway. It's now ruled by a dictator.

"1933 CHURCHILL: I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but "Mein Kampf" just became a bestseller in Germany. . .

. . ."It would be great if our military would concentrate on defending America. Can't the military industrial complex make its money in Mexico?"

Harvard is named WORST school for free speech - scoring BELOW zero

Harvard is named WORST school for free speech - scoring BELOW zero - after nine professors and researchers faced calls to be disciplined or fired for voicing 'controversial' opinions | Daily Mail Online

  • The elite university in Massachusetts has been dubbed the single worst academic institution for free speech in the US out of 248 schools
  • The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression said the school earned 0.00 points on a 100-point scale- but that its true score was even lower
  • According to the institution, the treatment of speakers, professors and students with controversial opinions at the school has been particularly bad

"The school's score tanked for a number of reasons, not the least of which being the nine professors and researchers at Harvard who faced calls to be punished or fired in the last few years based on things they'd said or written.

"Seven of the nine were ultimately disciplined.

"The director of polling and analytics at FIRE, Sean Stevens, told the New York Post that Harvard has consistently ranked among the bottom tier of schools on the list, but was surprised a school was able to 'fall below zero.'

" 'They've had so many scholar sanctions,' he said.

"A school's score is calculated based on factors like how strong the its policies in favor of free speech are and how many professors, students, and visitors to campus have been targeted by school authorities for their publicly held positions.

"At Harvard, in the last five years, some of the seven free speech incidents have included the school's decision to revoke conservative activist Kyle Kashuv's acceptance because of racist comments he made on social media as a 16-year-old, for which he apologized.

"Since 2019, Harvard has sanctioned four scholars, three of whom the institution has gone on to fire." . . .

‘Obama’s Gay Lover’ Blows Cover Off Sex With Barack In Tucker Interview

'Obama's Gay Lover' Blows Cover Off Sex With Barack In Tucker Interview (Video) ⋆ Conservative Firing Line

"Tucker Carlson’s highly anticipated interview with Larry Sinclair, the man purporting to be Barack Obama’s homosexual lover when the former president was a state senator in Illinois in 1999, is now scheduled for broadcast Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. Eastern on X, formerly Twitter.

"On Tuesday, Carlson posted numerous video clips from the discussion, as Sinclair goes into details of crack cocaine use and sexual relations with Obama.

"Pulled up in a bar, outside and there’s this guy that’s introduced to me as Barack Obama,” Sinclair says at the outset of the preview.

"I had given Barack $250 to pay for coke, I start putting a line on a CD tray to snort. And next thing I know, he’s got a little pipe and he’s smoking.” . . .

Biden wanders off during Medal of Honor ceremony UPDATED

First the back story:   Vietnam Helicopter Pilot Capt. Larry Taylor Awarded Medal of Honor for Daring Night-Time Rescue (yahoo.com)

How can anyone watch that and not feel compassion and admiration for Capt. Taylor, while Joe Biden treated the entire ceremony as just another game show?

Monica Showalter - American Thinker    "Is there anyone less fit to be around men of authentic valor than cowardly, self-dealing Joe Biden?

"Breaking all protocol as well as common decency, he wandered off the set during a Medal of Honor ceremony, leaving the honoree, Capt. Larry L. Taylor, awkwardly on the podium alone.

"Here's what he did:"

(Notice the puzzled look on the photographer as he passes her. She knows something is wrong)

COVID-exposed Biden goes maskless in front of hero – HotAir   . . ."So was this an example of Joe Biden simply flaunting the rules that his own White House has established? Or did he just lose the plot (again) and forget about the masking guidelines in the middle of the ceremony? Personally, I’m leaning toward the latter explanation because of what happened next. Once the reading of Captain Taylor’s exploits was complete and the medal had been presented, it was time for the recitation of the prayer. But Biden simply wandered away and walked out of Taylor’s ceremony before it was complete.

Military veterans slammed Biden afterward, arguing that the commander-in-chief showed a startling lack of respect.

“Pardon my French…But what a f—ing idiot. The continuous lack of respect Biden has for anyone is appalling. Hawaii, Service members, active shooter victims, the list goes on,” former Navy SEAL and podcast host Shawn Ryan tweeted after the president’s hasty exit.

“At least he didn’t check his watch this time,” Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas), an Army veteran, snarked on X, formerly known as Twitter. . . .

Chesa Boudin Recall: How San Francisco Became a Failed City - The Atlantic

. . .Because yesterday, San Francisco voters decided to turn their district attorney, Chesa Boudin, out of office. They did it because he didn’t seem to care that he was making the citizens of our city miserable in service of an ideology that made sense everywhere but in reality. It’s not just about Boudin, though. There is a sense that, on everything from housing to schools, San Francisco has lost the plot—that progressive leaders here have been LARPing left-wing values instead of working to create a livable city. And many San Franciscans have had enough. . . .

BAR NONE: Buffalo Bar Removes Bud Light for Good in Now-Viral Video

 [WATCH] (hannity.com)

"According to a report from The New York Post, Daniel M. Keem, a YouTube personality and podcaster, posted a video on social media showing his local bar taking down the Bud Light tap and replacing it with Miller Light.

“My local bar finally gave up & is removing Bud Light completely from the bar permanently,” Keem wrote in the caption of the post that he uploaded to the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“So, Bud Light is so boycotted that it’s being removed [and replaced] with Miller,” Keem said in the clip.

“It’s being removed from my local bar. Holy s–t. That’s crazy.”

Keem is then heard asking the bartender: “Really, nobody’s ordering Bud anymore?”

“No,” replied the bartender.

"The clip has been viewed more than 8.5 million times as of Friday morning.

"Bud Light is currently laying off nearly 400 employees in the wake of its disastrous partnership with trans TikToker Dylan Mulvane[y].

Karine Jean-Pierre responds to AOC: Biden has 'done more than anybody' to secure the border (msn.com)    "The president has done more to secure the border and to deal with this issue of immigration than anybody else. He really has!" Jean-Pierre said Thursday.

"Look, the president has done what he can from here, from the federal government, from the White House to put forth and manage our border in a safe and humane way to respect the dignity of every human, as he says all the time, and making sure that our communities are safe," she added.

KJP: We're Doing a Better Job on Border Security Than Those Obstructionist Republicans, or Something (townhall.com) . . ."This comes on the heels of the Vice President (and border czar, don't forget) dutifully repeating the insulting line that the border is secure in an interview on Sunday -- though in fairness, she could barely even pretend that she believed what she was saying.  Jean Pierre was any more convincing.  There have been nearly one million known got-aways on Biden's watch.  There have also been millions more encounters, many of which have resulted in illegal immigrants being simply processed and released into the country.  The border is quite conspicuously not secure.  And if she wants to invite a game of comparisons, that would be very unwise.  Click through and look at these statistics.  Let's toss out the summer of 2020 as a COVID anomaly.  Let's compare apprehensions under the Trump administration in 2019, versus under Biden in 2022.  In April of 2019, there were about 109,000 encounters at the border.  This past April, the number swelled to nearly 236,000.  In July 2019 -- slow season due to heat -- there were 82,000 encounters.  July 2022 saw 200,000.  Team Biden is shattering records on this front." . . .
