WHAT IF: Obama Were President in 1941

"Imagine how disastrous things would have been in 1941 had Obama been president."

The Sen. Menendez inquisition grinds on

Justice Department leaks investigation of Sen. Menendez after he publicly opposes Obama Iran policy   "You could say that the Chicago way met the New Jersey way yesterday, as the Obama administration moved to neutralize a critic who stands in the way of its Iran policy (which seems to be ensuring that the mullahs get their apocalypse-seeking hands on nuclear weapons).  In an administration that abhors leaks, CNN was given the story that Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) is going to be charged with criminal corruption, just days after he prominently opposed the Obama administration on its Iran policy and supported Obama’s bĂȘte noir, Bibi Netanyahu."

Cruz: Menendez probe politically motivated
"Des Moines, Iowa -- Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) suggested Saturday that the Justice Department’s criminal corruption charges against Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) are political retribution against the New Jersey Democrat for opposing the White House’s negotiations with Iran.
"Cruz made the allegations to a throng of reporters jammed into the corner of a tent outside the Iowa Ag Summit in Des Moines without even having been asked about the Menendez criminal charges.
“ 'The announcement this week by the Justice Department that they were bringing charges against Bob Menendez — I will point out that the timing seems awfully coincidental that … in the very week that Bob Menendez showed incredible courage to speak out and call out President Obama for the damage that his policy is doing to our national security … the Justice Department announces they’re moving forward with the criminal prosecution,” Cruz said.
“ 'It raises the suggestion to other Democrats that if you dare part from the Obama White House, that criminal prosecutions will be used potentially as a political weapon against you as well,” he added."

Corruption case against Sen. Robert Menendez could be tough to make  . . ."Members of Congress accused of trading their official actions for personal gifts or campaign donations, as prosecutors are suggesting Menendez (D-N.J.) may have done, can rely on several legal defenses to stave off a conviction, experts say.

DOJ TO BRING CHARGES AGAINST MENENDEZ OR WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CROSS OBAMA  . . . "This is what I wrote at the time of the confrontation between Obama and Menendez:
Good for Bob Menendez for calling out Obama. But it will come at a price. I'm sure Menendez has now eclipsed Netanyahu as numero uno on Obama's crap list.
"Well, having your Attorney General and closest political ally charge his own party's top critic on any deal with Iran with corruption is one way to silence your critics.

"I've said it before and I must say it again. President Obama plays for keeps and anyone who gets in his way faces ruin."

Sen. Menendez pays the price for standing up to Barack Obama

Feds to Charge top critic of Obama's Iran deal Menendez With Corruption
. . . "Menendez has been accused of illegally receiving gifts from two fugitive businessmen in exchange for pushing their interests in Congress. While the federal investigation has been ongoing, the timing of the charges is curious. Menendez has been one of the top Democratic critics in Congress of the Obama administration's negotiations and forthcoming deal with Iran over the Islamic Republic's nuclear ambitions. Earlier this year, the New Jersey Democrat said the White House's talking points on the Iran deal were "straight out of Tehran."

. . . "Menendez, the ranking member on the Foreign Relations Committee and a longtime proponent of tough measures on Iran to prevent the Islamic Republic from getting a nuclear weapon, has long been a thorn in the side of the White House for his determination to keep and impose tough sanctions.
"But last Friday, Menendez upped the ante.
"On top of the reintroduction of sanctions legislation with Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) that the administration disliked, he introduced a bill Friday that the White House really hates: one that requires congressional approval of an Iran deal."

Psst DOJ, When You Go After Menendez, Don’t Forget Dirty Harry Reid’s Involvement…

"Menendez dared to challenge Obama over Israel and Iran. Now he will be made to pay over charges that until now have languished. Very scary use of DOJ. But, this is de rigueur with this White House.
"Via NJ.com:
. . .The New Jersey Law Journal report also said the government alleges that Menendez and then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) met with then-Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius regarding Melgen in 2012 — something that has not been previously reported. The Washington Post in 2013 reported that Menendez met with the acting administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding a Melgen billing dispute.

Got Clinton fatigue yet?

It's Over, Hillary   "Hillary and Bill Clinton have always had what can be termed as an "Icarus" problem. Through their years in political office, the scandals swirled around them but seemingly failed to engulf them: Jennifer Flowers (and the other women); Whitewater; Travelgate; the cattle futures killing; Monica Lewinsky; Benghazi; Bill's "business" jaunts courtesy of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein; the Clinton Foundation's foreign donor problem; and now, Hillary Clinton's version of "Emailgate." Through it all the Clintons have soared to the heights of hubris with obfuscation and denial, challenging and daring the sun god of karma. Instead of crash and burn, they've instead repeatedly landed on their feet, quite comfortably.
"Until now."    Full article

White House suggests Obama learned about Clinton emails by 'reading the newspaper'  "I have no idea when the president first learned," White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters of the simmering controversy. "I wouldn't be surprised, however, if he had learned about that by reading the newspaper. The president has a lot of things on his plate. I'm not sure the details of a senior administration official's email arrangement lands on the president's desk with any regularity."  Via Weasel Zippers

Hillary Counting On Dem Ops in Media to Save Her Bacon . . . "And there you have it — the Democrat-Media Complex playbook in all its naked, up-your glory. What the Clintons know — and what Barry Hussein learned from them — is that the mechanics of government work too slowly for the cops to ever catch up to the robbers. By the time the good guys’ response wends its way through the courts, whatever the enormity is will have been superseded by two or three other things, ad infinitum. All you have to do is wait it out, then go home and count your money.

"At least that is what the Clintons do. Barry is different: all he has to do is go home and wait for the republic to collapse, and then go play another round of golf at our expense in his lifetime of perpetual, taxpayer-subsidized “retirement.' ”

UK: The never-ending horror of “Asian” (Muslim) paedophile sex gangs who abduct, rape, and prostitute white Christian underage girls

Bare Naked Islam  . . . "The serious case report into the exploitation of six girls in the Oxfordshire area by a gang of seven Asian Muslim men, who were later convicted at the Old Bailey in London, found that police and social services failed to act long after they were made aware that children were engaged in sexual relations with the men thanks to “a combination of not grasping the extent of exploitation, the focus on the girls and their families as the source of the problems, the corresponding lack of focus on perpetrators, and a host of administrative and management issues” (Typos corrected)

Students at UC Irvine vote to ban American flag

Fox News

"Students at the University of California, Irvine have voted to make their school a more “culturally inclusive” place by banning the American flag.
"The Associated Students of University of California (ASUCI) passed a resolution March 3 that would remove the Stars & Stripes along with every other flag from the lobby of a complex housing the offices of the student government.
“ 'Designing a culturally inclusive space aims to remove barriers that create undue effort and separation by planning and designing spaces that enable everyone to participate equally and confidentially,” read the resolution authored by Matthew Guevara." . . .

More and more on Hillary's emails?

Hillary Clinton was revealed to have used personal e-mail to conduct U.S. foreign policy while she was Secretary of State. She was speaking at Emily's List on Tuesday when a blonde in the audience heckled her about it. The blonde was hustled outside by security where Bill Clinton wrestled her to the ground. Comedian Argus Hamilton
Secrets of Clinton emails revealed   . . . "Hothem is the same aide who was charged with packing up and carting off furniture from the White House at the end of Bill Clinton's presidency that he said was 'Clinton’s personal property.'

Was the State Department 'IT guy' Asleep at the Switch?     "Beyond the legal stuff, there are lots of red flags or things that jump at me:
1) Where was the "IT guy" at the State Department? Did he or she know that the Secretary of State, a person writing and reading about sensitive information, waa not using an official email?
2) If yes, who did he or she talk to about it? Was some supervisor alerted? How high up the chain did this alert go?  Was President Obama alerted to the incredible risk of having the country's top diplomat doing the nation's business on a private server?
3) If no, then are these the same people who put together the ObamaCare website?

Hillary Clinton: Mean Girls Meets the Mob

Political Cartoons by Robert Ariail

Michael Walsh  . . . At its heart, the Democrat Party is a collection of bootless self-aggrandizers interested primarily in power and money but also motivated by a juvenile wish to dominate others for their own sadistic pleasure. It uses collectivist slogans of “tolerance” and “compassion” to conceal its true ugly face, and hijacks the best instincts of its victims and uses them against them. In my forthcoming book, The Devil’s Pleasure Palace, I have dubbed this latest incarnation of a very old evil the “unholy Left” and the “satanic Left.” Of course, I mean that in the nicest possible way." . . .

Clinton State Department Ousted Ambassador Using Private Email . . . "In other words, State Department policy was very clear. Using a private email outside the State Department's secure system was completely unacceptable. If this applied to ambassadors, one would think it was sensible policy for the Secretary of State as well."

Follow the Money: Clinton Foundation  "The reach of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation crosses oceans and international lines. The financial relationships, given the nature of Mrs. Clinton’s time as Secretary of State and Presidential ambitions, certainly raise questions about the ethical lines that could be crossed by corporations desiring access to such a powerful political figure." . .

Netanyahu’s Churchillian warning

This was not Churchill of the 1940s, but Churchill of the 1930s, the wilderness prophet. Which is why for all its sonorous strength, Netanyahu’s speech had a terrible poignancy. After all, Churchill was ignored.

Charles Krauthammer

"Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress was notable in two respects. Queen Esther got her first standing O in 2,500 years. And President Obama came up empty in his campaign to preemptively undermine Netanyahu before the Israeli prime minister could present his case on the Iran negotiations.
"On the contrary. The steady stream of slights and insults turned an irritant into an international event and vastly increased the speech’s audience and reach. Instead of dramatically unveiling an Iranian nuclear deal as a fait accompli, Obama must now first defend his Iranian diplomacy.". . .
Obama’s petulant response was: “The prime minister didn’t offer any viable alternatives.” But he just did: conditional sunset, smaller infrastructure. And if the Iranians walk away, then you ratchet up sanctions, as Congress is urging, which, with collapsed oil prices, would render the regime extremely vulnerable.

Ron Fournier: Hillary Clinton Still Doesn't Get It

First we must define our terms; Krauthammer on the term "Clintonian"   He said t"he scandal over Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email account and server during her time at the State Department is classic Clinton, saying the term “Clintonian was invented” for the “fine distinctions between legal and illegal” seen in the case."

Michael Ramirez Cartoon
. . . "In classic Clintonian doublespeak, Hillary tweeted just before midnight last night that she really, truly, wanted everyone to see her emails, so she told the State Department to release them.

"But the issue is not what she turned over to State, but what she didn’t. Hillary’s team selected what was turned over to the State Department, so her tweet is a complete distraction that doesn’t address the problem:" . . .

National Journal   "March 5, 2015 A cornered Clinton is a craven Clinton, which is why we should view Hillary Rodham Clinton's latest public relations trick with practiced skepticism. "I want the public to see my email," she tweeted Wednesday night. "I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible."
"If she wants us to see her email, why did she create a secret account stored on a dark server registered at her home?
"If she wants us to see her email, why didn't she give State all of her email rather than a self-censored fraction of the correspondence?
"If she wants us to see her email, Clinton should turn over every word written on her dark account(s) for independent vetting. Let somebody the public trusts decide which emails are truly private and which ones belong to the public." . . .

Abraham Lincoln: 'The Judgments of the Lord'

American Thinker

Sketch of Lincoln Taking the Oath of Office

. . . "Abolitionist editor and orator Frederick Douglass that day entered the White House, the first time a black man was an honored guest an Inaugural reception. The president asked him his opinion of the address. “Mr. Lincoln, it was a sacred effort.”

"Lincoln called America “the last best hope of man on earth.” Yet in our time, in our land, a thousand unborn children are beheaded daily by an organization that is sheltered and funded by our own taxes. This dread toll deprives our people of genius and industry. Every child born in America has the potential to earn a million dollars.

"We know the truth about these unborn millions. “Ultrasound has made it impossible to deny that that thing in the womb is a human being,” writes Time magazine’s Joe Klein. We have seen the evidence of Klein’s dictum in practical effect.

"We agree with Lincoln that “nothing stamped in the divine image was sent into the world to be trod upon.” And yet we proceed as if the judgments of the Lord are not intended for us, and that His justice will sleep forever."  More
