Musk Calls Out VP Harris Over False Claims Over Trump's Abortion Stance

 Gloriel Howard (resistthemainstream.com)

"Vice President Kamala Harris was caught making false accusations about former President Donald Trump, this time by Elon Musk.

"Harris posted on X Sunday that Trump would ban abortion access in the U.S.

“Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide,” she wrote, adding, “President Joe Biden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women’s reproductive freedom.”

"Musk responded, “He clearly said he would not do so in the debate.”

What I Saw at a Terrorist Rally Outside a Synagogue -

  Daniel Greenfield / Sultan Knish

"Why is this happening? I previously reported that Mayon Karen Bass is a close political ally of BLM LA boss Melina Abdullah, who has backed the pro-terrorist campaign against Jews. When Jews were attacked at UCLA, Democrat members of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors passed a motion to fund legal support for the terrorist supporters."

"Thirty minutes after Hamas supporters first set up their operation outside a Los Angeles synagogue, they maced their first Jew. And the Los Angeles police did nothing.

"Not until an hour into the terrorist rally outside a synagogue, did the LAPD finally step in, pushing back masked Jihad supporters in keffiyeh terror scarves from the entrance of Congregation Adas Torah (Congregation of the Bible) which they had occupied.

"And then the mob, chanting calls for “intifada” and the destruction of Israel, moved outward to target two smaller synagogues attended by Persian Jewish refugees from Islamic terror in Iran.

“ 'Billions of us will come and kill you,” a heavily accented Middle Eastern man in a keffiyeh unprompted rasped at me as I walked up. Only dozens had actually shown up, but they made up for it with bullhorns, robotic chants, and assaults in the middle of a Jewish neighborhood.

"The Jewish counterprotesters had come waving American and Israeli flags while the other side was a sea of terrorist flags. A man wore an Antifa cap, another had come in ski goggles during 90-degree heat, while others toted bear spray, metal bottles, and other implements of violence." . . .

Americans Were Shocked by Kristallnacht—But Their Outrage Soon Faded | HISTORY

Synagogue after Kristallnacht

"Brick-throwing mobs. Mass arrests. Torched synagogues. Broken glass. Between November 9 and 10, 1938, the pogrom now known as Kristallnacht resulted in the destruction of over 7,500 Jewish businesses, 1,000 synagogues, and any sense of security Jewish people in Germany and its territories felt in the face of Nazi rule and a growing tide of anti-Semitism.

"Today, Kristallnacht is seen as the first act of what would eventually become the Holocaust. But did the world see the writing on the wall in 1938?

"If you’d read an American newspaper in the days and weeks after the pogrom, you might have thought so. As news of the pogroms made its way to the United States, newspapers filled, first with descriptions of the violence, then with reactions that ranged from terrified to furious. “MOBS WRECK JEWISH STORES IN BERLIN,” shouted a typical headline from the Chicago Daily Tribune. “Nazi Mobs Riot in Wild Orgy,” reported the Los Angeles Times." . . .

The Biden 10-step plan for global chaos | Victor Davis Hanson

  VICTOR DAVIS HANSON (reviewjournal.com)

"But the examples explain well enough why our emboldened enemies do not fear us, our triangulating allies judge us unreliable and calculating neutrals assume America is in descent and too dangerous to join."

"Why is French President Emmanuel Macron cozying up to China while trashing his oldest ally, the United States?

"Why is there suddenly talk of discarding the dollar as the global currency?

"Why are Japan and India shrugging that they cannot follow the U.S. lead in boycotting Russian oil?

"Why is the president of Brazil traveling to China to pursue what he calls a “beautiful relationship”?

"Why is Israel suddenly facing attacks from its enemies in all directions?

"What happened to Turkey? Why is it threatening fellow NATO member Greece? Is it still a NATO ally, a mere neutral or a de facto enemy?

"Why are there suddenly nonstop Chinese threats toward Taiwan?

"Why did Saudi Arabia conclude a new pact with Iran, its former archenemy?

"Why was Egypt secretly planning to send rockets to Russia to be used in Ukraine, according to leaked Pentagon papers?

"Since when did the Russians talk nonstop about the potential use of a tactical nuclear weapon?

"Why is Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador bragging that millions of Mexicans have entered the United States, most of them illegally? And why is he interfering in U.S. elections by urging his expatriates to vote for Democrats?

"Why and how, in just two years, have confused and often incoherent President Joe Biden and his team created such global chaos?

"Let us answer by listing 10 ways by which America lost all deterrence:

1) Biden abruptly pulled all U.S. troops from Afghanistan. He left behind to the Taliban hundreds of Americans and thousands of pro-American Afghans. Biden abandoned billions of dollars in U.S. equipment, the largest air base in central Asia — recently retrofitted at a cost of $300 million — and a $1 billion embassy. Our government called such a debacle a success. The world disagreed and saw only humiliation.

2) The Biden administration allowed a Chinese high-altitude spy balloon to traverse the continental United States, spying on key American military installations. The Chinese were defiant when caught and offered no apologies. In response, the Pentagon and the administration simply lied about the extent that China had surveilled top secret sites.

Officials Across Europe Express Concerns Over Biden's Deteriorating Cognitive Health (resistthemainstream.com)

A member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany, Norbert Rottgen, said, “This night will not be forgotten. The Democrats must now change course. And Germany must prepare itself as quickly as possible for a future that is uncertain in terms of security policy. If we do not take responsibility for Europe now, no one will.”

Pride Month Recap: What, Exactly, Are You Proud Of?

 C.A. Skeet – PJ Media

"You who are so brave in donning priests' and nuns' gear to mock Christians would never dream of doing so to Muslims, whose compatriots are doing far worse to gays today than the meanest Christians ever did to gays, at any time in the history of their religion." . . .

"Another Pride Month has come and gone. I'll admit that it was more subdued than it has been in recent years. The specter of Israeli neo-Nazi homophobes throwing Gazan gays off rooftops undoubtedly dampened the festivities (more on that below). But I'm old enough to remember when Pride was just a parade in the big cities. Then it became a day. Then a week. Now it's a month. Now it's in schools, department stores, fast food chains, and library reading rooms. And if you think it's all going just a tad overboard, you're worse than Hitler.

"If aliens observed Pride Month from space, one could forgive them for assuming that gays in contemporary America must be the most oppressed group in the history of mankind, hence the necessity of an ever-increasing display of awareness and recognition. But an unfortunate and entirely predictable, phenomenon has occurred in the years since Obergefell and the advent of gays in the military. The oppressed has become the oppressor and gleefully so. To recap the last decade or so of Pride:

"Christian business owner Jack Phillips has been mired in lawfare since 2012 after he politely refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding due to his religious beliefs. Despite having won his case at the Supreme Court (on procedural grounds), he kept getting requests from LGBTQ activists to make obscene cakes, which they knew beforehand that he would refuse to bake, at which time they promptly sued and re-sued, intending to destroy him and his business — all because he has a different opinion than they do as to what constitutes a marriage.

"Is this what you're proud of?"

"We are told the purpose of Pride is for gay people to be accepted for who they are. But in recent Pride parades, organizers have banned rainbow flags with Stars of David superimposed (though Palestinian flags are allowed). At other Pride parades, organizers have banned gay police officers from marching. And, bizarrely, organizers have removed lesbians from Pride parades for the audacity of being attracted exclusively to women who are... wait for it... biological women. So much for accepting people for who they are." . . .

Lego releases new Gaza Pride set • Genesius Times

"This revolutionary new toy is designed to promote cultural sensitivity and to teach children about the importance of acceptance and tolerance, and has been hailed by some as a “miracle cure” for the world’s problems.

“We are pleased to announce the release of our new Gaza Pride set,” said Lego spokesperson, Cee Nile, in a recent press conference. “We believe that this is the best way to ensure that children can continue to learn about the importance of acceptance and tolerance, and to promote cultural sensitivity in a fun and engaging way.”

"The new set features a variety of colorful and creative designs, including a miniature rainbow-colored mosque, a tiny Palestinian flag, and a tiny replica of the Gaza skyline. The set also includes a variety of Lego figures, including a Palestinian farmer, a young girl wearing a hijab, a guy in a rainbow shirt, and a tall building so they can throw him off." . . .

Joe's "inexplicable moments"

AfterMath - Home

Replacing Biden: More facts - American Thinker   "Do I have great timing or what?

"No sooner did my short piece debunking the possibility of replacing SloJoe appear than the question attained new urgency with his complete collapse in the first… “debate,” I hear they’re calling it. It seems that everybody -- Democrats more than anyone -- are now clamoring for the replacement of the inhabitant of the White Nursing Home.

"The problem is that it’s already too late.

"Along with the factors previously discussed – major party registration deadlines, primaries, delegates – even more major obstacles have arisen." . . .

Watch Joe's face in this clip: Althouse: Who came into the debate with a planned zinger that just had to be zinged and that was supposed to be the focus of the post-debate spin?

"I think he practiced that line and received coaching on how to look and sound truly angry. I think his people believed this was the stake to drive into Trump's heart. But Biden looked old and ugly and weird, and Trump grabbed that stake and clonked him over the head with it." . . .

One can recognize that face; Biden used it at the State Of The Union address for one. TD

It Begins: Democrat Candidates Distance Themselves from Joe Biden ..."
Many down-ballot Democrat candidates in battleground states or districts will face increased headwinds come November due to the president’s lack of popularity.
"A post-debate forecast from the Economist gave former President Donald Trump a 73- percent chance of victory in November. Trump leads Biden by six points in the probability of winning the popular vote in November, Nate Silver’s election model forecasted post-debate.

"A party’s lead candidate, such as Biden, should ideally attract voters to down-ticket candidates, but that hope appears to be fading after Biden’s highly criticized debate performance.

“I don’t ever want to see him here,” one lawmaker told Axios of Biden, adding, “Every single donor — and I’m only calling major donors — is furious and wants him to step aside.”

"Swing district Democrat House members are “freaking out” about Biden’s impact on their races, a senior House Democrat said, based on discussions with them." . . .

Joe Biden Mocked for Orange Appearance in Primetime Address  "Mockery erupted online Monday night after President Joe Biden delivered a primetime address in which his skin appeared orange from a possible spray tan.

"The tan likely would have been applied in response to criticism of his poor performance at Thursday’s debate, which sparked concerns about his age and cognitive ability.

"The president delivered a five-minute speech off a teleprompter in response to the Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity on Monday and refused questions from the press as he left the podium. Commentators interpreted the remarks as little more than performative theater to alleviate concerns about his abilities; his orange appearance, which echoes former President Donald Trump, spurred the most mockery." . . .

Tucker Carlson: Dr. Jill Biden Keeping Joe Away From People Who Want Him to Drop Out – Twitchy    . . ."“Obama’s tweet supporting Joe Biden was disingenuous. In private, Obama is telling people Biden can’t win, and he is therefore in favor of an open convention.”

“Relations between the Obamas and the Bidens have never been warm. At times they’ve been hostile.”

“But recently they’ve deteriorated further, mostly due to Jill Biden.”

“In the hours and days after the debate, she kept her husband cloistered away from anyone who might convince him to drop out.”

“Jill Biden is the driving force behind her husband’s reelection campaign, just as she was in 2020, when other members of the family (including Biden’s sister Val) considered him too impaired to run.” . . .

Chinese state media sets sights on Taiwan as US’ Afghan retreat stokes nationalism

It's time to stop mocking other nations, calling them "surrender monkeys". We have shown them all how the US can cut and run with the best of them all. The Tunnel Dweller

Chinese state media sets sights on Taiwan as US’ Afghan retreat stokes nationalism | CNN  "The chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan has presented Beijing with a propaganda boost, with Chinese state media capitalizing on the crisis to trumpet the supposed decline of America and taunt Taiwan with threats of invasion.

"The jingoistic rhetoric coincided with air and naval drills launched Tuesday by the Chinese military, which sent fighter jets and warships near Taiwan in response to what it called the “repeated collusion in provocation” by Washington and Taipei.

"In recent years, China’s ruling Communist Party has sought to present the US as a fading global power. And now, the return of the Taliban to the streets of the Afghan capital is being touted by state media as the “death knell of US hegemony.”. . .

Chinese State Media Says Afghanistan a Lesson for Taiwan on How U.S. Abandons Allies - Newsweek   . . ."The Times then cited what it called similar situations, such as the fall of Saigon during the end of the Vietnam War in 1975 when the U.S. evacuated its citizens from the city. The tabloid also wrote of how the U.S. "abandoned their allies, the Kurds," when it withdrew troops from northern Syria in 2019.

""Some historians also point out that abandoning allies to protect U.S. interests is an inherent flaw that has been deeply rooted in the U.S. since the founding of the country," the editorial contended before claiming America betrayed France soon after the latter aided the original colonies in gaining independence from Britain in the Revolutionary War." . . .

Afghan chaos left by US should be a warning to Taiwan: Chinese media | South China Morning Post (scmp.com)   ‘Ignoble’ pull-out hurts US credibility and would make allies doubt its commitment, observers say, as Chinese media sees proof of decaying US hegemony
"Wavering faith among regional partners could make the US ramp up efforts to counter China, caution analysts". More behind a pay wall...

China sends chilling warning to Taiwan over ‘bitter fruits of war’ | Sky News Australia   "China’s propaganda mouthpiece the Global Times has warned Taiwan that once warfare breaks out, the Island’s defences will “collapse in hours” as the US will not offer support.
"Afghanistan's capital Kabul fell to Taliban forces on Sunday as US and Coalition troops neared the end of their 20-year deployment.
"Former US President Donald Trump made the decision to withdraw the country’s troops from Afghanistan in his final year in office.
"President Joe Biden confirmed the move, announcing American troops would be entirely removed by September 11.
"The Taliban took advantage of the mass exit of foreign troops, and engaged in a cross-country onslaught seizing key regional centres before taking Kabul over the weekend." . . .

"By contrast, Francis Fukuyama has pointed out in The Economist that the desperate escape of the Afghans from Kabul is a strategic misstep which signifies the end of US global hegemony. He believes that this is as much determined by domestic challenges – such as the severe polarisation of American society at the end of the Trump presidency – as by any global power shifts.

"Former US national security adviser and secretary of state Henry Kissinger has argued in the same publication that the unilateral decision to withdraw could damage Washington’s relationships with its allies." . . .

Bowman lost because of his unhinged radicalism, not AIPAC

  Jonathan Tobin (jewishworldreview.com)

. . ."So, while anti-Israel propagandists look to AIPAC's intervention as proof of the unhealthy influence of the "Israel lobby," the fact that Jewish voters were desperate not to have him represent them in Congress was not merely understandable. It was democracy in action." . . .

" 'The narrative about Rep. Jamaal Bowman's (D-N.Y.) impending landslide primary loss from "progressive" Democrats was already being set up the weekend before the votes in New York's 16th Congressional District were counted. While some might have considered the presence of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) as the featured speaker, a video from the Bronx rally for the congressman in which Bowman and one of his leading allies and fellow "Squad" member, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), danced around like teenagers at a rock concert before he launched into a profanity-laden tirade that went viral. While the main point of their presentations was expressed in varied ways, Bowman summed it up in two words: f*&%k AIPAC."

"The same profound sentiment was widely shared on the left after the results came in on Tuesday evening when Bowman was routed in his bid for re-election by a longtime moderate Democrat. Westchester County Executive George Latimer trounced Bowman by 58.6% to 41.4%.

"Other members of the "Squad" and some leftist pundits like Peter Beinart put down Bowman's fate as just another example of wicked pro-Israel Jews taking down a proud black man. Axios published a story packed with anonymous quotes from Democratic congressmen saying that $14.5 million spent on advertising by an AIPAC-affiliated PAC was unseemly, if not overkill. In The Guardian, Ben Davis conceded that AIPAC had won, but he termed it a "pyrrhic victory" that actually marked a turning point. According to Davis, "the result of this election masks a considerable shift in the balance of power within American politics away from unconditional support for Israel as an unquestioned political consensus."

AIPAC knocks off a sure loser

"Their point was that Bowman was too weak to resist the power of the mighty "Israel Lobby," but the fact that this all-powerful force in American politics had to go to so much trouble and expense to take down one member of Congress was actually a sign of weakness." . . .

Fact check of presidential debate: What did Trump, Biden get wrong?

Andre Byik Joedy McCreary Chris Mueller Brad Sylvester (usatoday.com)

"President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump both strayed repeatedly from the truth as they squared off in the first presidential debate of the 2024 election season.

"Here are the claims the USA TODAY Fact Check Team dug into."

. . ."Trump vs. Biden?Debate's over: I want to elect Michelle Obama president.

"The debate will be quite different from the one's in 2020. Mics will be muted when it's not a candidate's allotted time, Biden and Trump can't talk with staff during breaks, pre-written notes are banned and most importantly, there is no live audience." . . .

ESCAPE FROM HAMAS: What Israel's Hostage Rescue Tells You About Gaza

CarolineGlick.com  06/11/2024 "An incredible Israeli operation rescues four hostages from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip.

"Yet in a new low, the mainstream media focuses on alleged Palestinian civilian casualties, accusing Israel of “war crimes” based on numbers provided by the Hamas-controlled “Gaza Health Ministry.”

"What does the daring rescue mission reveal about the coastal enclave’s “civilian population” and the way mainstream journalists operate?

"I go through the details on IN FOCUS."

'It is a great privilege to be here': Israeli hostage publicly speaks out for the first time since being rescued - Conservative Review    “It is a great privilege to be here after 246 days in Hamas Captivity. It is great privilege to be by my mother’s side after eight months of uncertainty,” she added.
"The two-minute video clip was played in Tel Aviv on Saturday as part of a call for the return of the remaining hostages still in captivity under Hamas. Argamani's mother, Liora, said she has stage 4 brain cancer and only wanted to see her child one last time before passing away. She even wrote a letter to President Joe Biden about the situation.
"While Argamani was safely returned home, she mentioned that her partner, Avinatan Or, has remained in captivity in Gaza.
"'I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that there are 120 more hostages in Hamas captivity, and among them is Avinatan Or, my partner from whom I was separated at the moment of the abduction.”
“ 'Although I’m at home now, we cannot forget the hostages who are still in Hamas captivity, and we must do everything that’s possible to bring them back home," she added.
"Women were specifically targeted during the October 7 attack, many of whom were victims of violent sexual assault.
""Wonder Woman" actress, Gal Gadot, drew attention to the situation in December 2023, writing on Instagram: "We claim we stand against rape, violence against women. We will not let women be victimized and then silenced. We say we believe women. Stand with women. Speak out for women."
“On October 7th, the world witnessed Hamas carrying out its violent plans in real time. Within hours of the October 7th attack, the first blood-chilling video emerged of Shani Louk being paraded naked and defiled by her proud assailants,” Gadot wrote on the social media platform, referring to Shani Louk, the German-Israeli tattoo artist who was kidnapped by Hamas." . . .
And killed by the Gazans, her body in the back of a truck, driven through the streets of Gaza, and spat on by the citizens of Gaza.

CNN and MSNBC: Trump in the lion's den

How MSNBC’s Leftward Tilt Delivers Ratings, and Complications - The New York Times (nytimes.com)   "MSNBC placed a big bet on becoming comfort TV for liberals. Then it doubled down.
"Time slots on the cable network once devoted to news programming are now occupied by Trump-bashing opinion hosts. The channel has become a landing spot for high-profile alumni of President Biden’s administration like Jen Psaki, who went from hosting White House press briefings to hosting her own show. On Super Tuesday, when producers aired a portion of a live speech by former President Donald J. Trump, Rachel Maddow chastised her bosses on the air.
"The moves have been a hit with viewers. MSNBC has leapfrogged past its erstwhile rival CNN in the ratings and has seen viewership rise over the past year, securing second place in cable news behind the perennial leader, Fox News."

On MSNBC, the mood turns somber following Biden’s debate performance | CNN Business  CNN: —   On MSNBC, the mood Thursday night was somber.
“I am not going to put a fine sheen on it, or a spin on it, even though I am in the spin room,” "MSNBC anchor Alex Wagner said from the CNN presidential debate spin room
 in Atlanta.
"Wagner was speaking about the reaction from Democratic sources, but on the cable news channel that’s seen as the home to America’s progressive political wing, the mood on set was stark.
“There has been a uniformly negative reaction to Biden’s performance tonight.”
“This was about revealing who Donald Trump was, but it was also Joe Biden battling a caricature of himself as an enfeebled person,” Wagner said of the debate. “And he did nothing to disabuse, I think, the country of the notion that he is very old and was lost frequently in that debate.”

"CNN and MSNBC thrived during the Trump years, reaching new heights in ratings and revenue while devoting countless prime-time hours to criticizing a White House antagonist their viewers just could not quit." . . .
"People at both networks know that viewers who abhorred President Trump may no longer need their nightly therapy sessions with Rachel Maddow or Don Lemon." . . .

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signs 'Save Chick-fil-A' bill

Gwen Aviles (nbcnews.com)  Proponents of the bill say it will protect religious freedom. Critics however, say it will be used to discriminate against LGBTQ people.

"The legislation, known as Senate Bill 1978, prohibits government entities from taking "adverse actions" against businesses or individuals because of their religious beliefs or moral convictions. But while proponents view the bill as a necessary measure ensuring religious freedom, critics say it's a thinly veiled attempt to undermine LGBTQ rights.

"The bill — which has no official connection to Chick-fil-A — received its nickname after the San Antonio City Council banned the fast-food franchise from opening a location in the city's airport because of the company's "legacy of anti-LGBT behavior."

"Chick-fil-A has been under fire for its LGBTQ track record since 2012, when it was revealed that the company, through the charity of its founder, S. Truett Cathy, who died in 2014, donated nearly $2 million to groups that oppose same-sex marriage.

"The Save Chick-fil-A law makes it clear in Texas: You don’t mess with Chick-fil-A, and you don’t mess with religious freedom,” Jonathan Saenz, president of the socially conservative Texas Values Action, said in a statement." . . .

Barack Obama's Debate Post Raises Eyebrows: 'Not Really Helpful'

Kaitlin Lewis (msn.com)

RealityBites

"Several commentators were critical of former President Barack ObamaJoe's reaction to the first 2024 presidential debate, where his former running mate's performance raised alarm bells in Democrats ahead of November.

"In a post to X, formerly Twitter, Friday afternoon, Obama offered support for President Joe Biden's reelection run, whose demeanor Thursday night renewed concerns over the 81-year-old's age and ability to serve another four years. A Biden aide told Newsweek that the president was suffering from a cold."

" 'Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit," the former president continued. "Last night didn't change that, and it's why so much is at stake in November."

"Thursday's debate was the first time that Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee, faced former President Donald Trump this election cycle. The night began with Biden speaking with a rather raspy-sounding voice and was filled with several gaffes.

"Trump, meanwhile, repeated many of the same falsehoods that he has used throughout his campaign, including regarding Democrats' policies on abortion, the economy and immigration. The former president is 78 years old and is the first former president in U.S. history to be criminally convicted.

"Biden's performance has sparked concern from some close to the Democratic Party, and commentators have suggested that the president should be replaced with a different candidate before November. Obama's comments of support were received by several as being untimely coming off such a poor debate performance, including political commentator Chris Cillizza, who addressed Obama's point about having a "bad" debate night." . . .
