You just might be a Democrat if… Part III

Quoting: "If you think imprisoning your political opponents is the best way to “save a democracy,” you just may be a Democrat.

If you think that the sun isn’t a big factor in heating the earth, but your neighbor’s lawn mower is, you just may be a Democrat.

If you think only white people can be racist because of the color of their skin, you just may be a Democrat.

If you think invasive species are an existential threat, but unfettered illegal immigration is not, you just may be a Democrat.

If you think words can be violence, but some forms of violence should be protected as free speech, you just may be a Democrat.

If you think the Bill of Rights got it wrong, you just may be a Democrat.

If you think that concerned parents are domestic terrorists, but that Hamas is a force for good, you just may be a Democrat.

So, we also have a new Biden campaign slogan: Joe Biden: More sleep. Fewer hours.

Biden's Interview on Philadelphia Radio Was a Total Disaster - Matt Vespa

. . ."Top donors are reportedly asking for refunds, unhappy with the operation’s Baghdad Bob undertones regarding claiming how Biden is the healthiest he’s ever been while ignoring and dismissing concerns about the president’s mental state. The guardrails around the president were supposedly so extensive that our national media was powerless to report on anything relating to the president’s mental health substantially. We all know that’s a classic liberal media excuse—translation: we didn’t want to damage a Democratic president."

They Lied to You- Josh Hammer  . . ."But after last Thursday's CNN presidential debate in Atlanta, in which President Joe Biden delivered a catastrophic performance for the ages, there is only one conclusion: The yearslong effort by Biden administration flunkies, Democratic Party poohbahs and pro-Regime media stenographers to forcefully deny Biden's obvious physical and mental decline will go down as the single greatest lie in American history.

"And what an assiduous effort it was. For years, Democrats and the corporate media lied through their teeth about the blatant decline of the president's physical and mental faculties." . . .

‘The best Biden ever’ - Washington Examiner  . . ."On his MSNBC program Wednesday, former Republican Rep. Joe Scarborough launched an impassioned and aggressive defense of President Joe Biden — specifically, of Biden’s mental fitness to serve a second term as president. Scarborough’s performance was an attempt to show that the best defense is a good offense: In Scarborough’s view, the 81-year-old Biden is not only not declining cognitively, but he’s absolutely the best he’s ever been. And to majorities of voters, both Democrats and Republicans, who believe the president is not up to a second term, Scarborough had a simple message: “F*** you.”

"Scarborough said he had “spent a couple of hours with Joe Biden, sitting, talking, going around the world as far as talking issues, talking the economy, talking inflation, talking.” After those discussions, Scarborough came to believe that Biden “might misplace a word here or there” but is in fact really sharp. “I undersold him when I said he was cogent,” Scarborough said. “He’s far beyond cogent. In fact, he’s better than he’s ever been intellectually, analytically. Because he’s been around for 50 years.” . . .

Kevin McCarthy Reveals Biden 'Offers You Cookies' in Oval Office (Michael Luciano)   . . ."“I worked with four different presidents,” he said. “That Oval Office is always usually humming. Things are moving and going around at all times. And Biden’s Oval Office, it is the quietest place. No one’s around. The only thing, there are cookies. He offers you cookies every time you’re in there. And he goes and gets them. I mean, it is a depressing moment.” The former speaker went on to repeat his previous claim that every time he met with Biden, he “got a different Biden each time.”

“ 'And that’s the challenge they have,” he continued. “If he survives this, he is still in the same place, and it’s more time in between now and the election that he could actually get worse.”...

Senilitygate and Mrs. Alito’s Flags - Ann Coulter

  Ann Coulter

. . ."No mention of presidents interning Japanese (FDR); expropriating gold from U.S. citizens (FDR); seizing the steel mills (Truman); using the CIA to spy on a rival’s political campaign, and the FBI to bug an opponent’s campaign plane (LBJ); bombing a foreign country on the eve of his scheduled impeachment (Clinton); or flinging open the border in direct violation of federal law (Obama, Biden)." A.C

"Can you imagine if The New York Times had covered the Biden White House as closely as it covered Justice Samuel Alito’s wife’s collection of novelty flags?
"The media’s playing Praetorian Guard for one party isn’t good for democracy, but oddly, it’s not even good for the Democrats. Biden’s open-mouthed, faraway stare at a nationally televised debate isn’t the first shock revelation to rock a Democratic candidate in the middle of a presidential campaign.
"Al Gore spent 20 years boasting about his service in Vietnam. “I took my turn regularly on the perimeter in these little firebases out in the boonies. Something would move, we’d fire first and ask questions later,” he told Vanity Fair, among other macho quotes. And then he decided to run for president, and we found out Gore had a personal bodyguard in Vietnam, the most dangerous weapon he carried was a typewriter, and he left after three months.
"John Kerry claimed to be a valiant, Purple Heart-deserving Vietnam veteran who spent Christmas 1968 in Cambodia “despite President Nixon’s assurances that there was no combat action in this neutral territory” — all dutifully reported in the press. Then he ran for president, and it was suddenly discovered that more than 280 Swift Boat Veterans for Truth called Kerry a liar, his purple heart was based on a self-inflicted wound that required the life-saving application of a Band-Aid, his boat was never in Cambodia, and Nixon wasn’t president in 1968.
"Right up until last Thursday, we’ve been assured by the entire media conglomerate that Joe Biden is the sharpest he’s ever been, “intellectually, analytically” — the words of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough just last month.
"Then 50 million people watching the first presidential debate found out the leader of the free world barely knows his shapes and colors. About halfway through the debate, the stenographer typing out the closed-captioning committed suicide.
"Typical Biden sentence: “We’re able to make every single solitary person eligible for what I’ve been able to do with the with the COVID, excuse me, with, um, dealing with everything we have to do with, uh, look, if. We finally beat Medicare.” . . .

"If he's awake!" reporter's comment called inappropriate

"If he's awake!" reporter's comment called inappropriate

'If He's Awake': White House Reporter Digs at Biden Nap Schedule (dailydot.com)   . . ."Biden’s sleep habits have long been a topic of discussion for Republicans: Former President Donald Trump refers to Biden as “Sleepy Joe.”

"But since the debate last week, more Americans have been interested in Biden’s demeanor throughout the day. Axios reported last week that Biden aides said he is at his best between 10am and 4pm.

"Before and after that range and when he’s traveling internationally, they said, “Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued.”

"And a New York Times piece about Biden’s debate prep noted that naps were scheduled daily for the president."

I'd say this is among the concerns James Rosen must have and KJP should be capable of addressing. We should all know this and resent her casual, mocking brushoff of reporters who bring this up:    'I'm Going to Bed': White House Shuts Down Rambling Biden Press Conference With President Still Speaking (freebeacon.com)   "September 11, 2023  "White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre abruptly shut down a press conference in Vietnam on Sunday as President Joe Biden, 80, was in the middle of a rambling answer about his recent conversation with a Chinese communist.
"I don't know about you, but I'm going to go to bed," he told reporters shortly before his microphone was cut off and slow jazz music started to play.
"Thank you everybody. This ends the press conference," Jean-Pierre interjected as Biden continued to mumble semi-coherently in response to a question about his meeting with former Chinese Communist Party boss Li Keqiang at last week's G20 Summit in India." . . .

The deliberate murder of virtue

  M.B. Mathews - American Thinker

The deliberately organized salesmanship of perversity by trans and gay people has created a nation pocked with confused, debased, and psychologically damaged people. The promoters of this utter lack of virtue bristle when you tell their bearded faces that they are not women.

"For decades, the American Left has been making a deliberate and successful attempt to kill virtue.

"Much of what they do demonstrates a disregard for normal traditional American virtues such as decency, consideration, productivity, respect, decorum, honor, and moderation.

"The truly virtuous would never dream of announcing their sexual preferences in public. The only reason to do that is to draw attention to yourself and your private parts. Every year, San Francisco offers a sickening public street festival called Up Your Alley for the gay bondage, discipline and sadomasochism subculture. If you dare to look it up (I cannot bring myself to include the link), beware. Just … beware. It's exhibitionistic, nauseating, and thoroughly unvirtuous.

"When a culture tolerates public parades which openly solicit nakedness with emphasis on genitals, you attempt to desensitize others to modesty and decorum. You have lost your moral underpinnings in favor of garnering attention for the sake of prurient attention. Why would any normal person want to display their decorated private parts in public if not to sensationalize nudity and shock the prudes? It is completely self-aggrandizing and reveals a deep neurotic insecurity.

"The Left have taken a careful and systematic approach to destroying American virtues such as hard work, modesty, humility, consideration of others, and planning for the future. In their places, the Left decided that it was virtuous to be demanding, slothful, narcissistic, godless, and sexually profligate.

"The Leftist virtue-killers think the government has its own money to give to them for doing nothing. Taking what belongs to others and lazing about the house and streets with it is not virtuous. It is theft; taxpayers pay for the progeny and sloth of these unvirtuous slackers. If the Left can remove time-honored virtues such as productivity and merit, they create a national movement where they can be taken care of by others without consideration for those who really pay. You get a nation of unvirtuous entitled slobs.

"The murder of virtue leads to hedonistic behavior across the board, which itself leads to chaos.

"The LGBT “community” has infiltrated schools in pre-kindergarten through adulthood. There was a relentless promotion of abortions in the name of “privacy,” and “reproductive health.” We tolerated it.

"They promoted homosexuality around the clock. We tolerated it in the name of “love,” but as a result, we got drag queen story hour." . . .

Big Lies About Israel

 Gatestone Institute

The "made-up" famine is just the latest in a long string of fabrications demonizing Israel's military operations in Gaza, which over the last months have been exposed as lies yet have received zero coverage in the media.

For months, Israel has refuted libelous claims of famine in Gaza, as international organizations -- especially the UN and the EU, the International Court of Justice and mainstream media alongside NGOs such as Human Rights Watch -- pushed the false, malicious narrative that Israel was causing famine in Gaza and even using it as a "weapon of war." Pictured: A line of trucks in Rafah, Egypt carrying aid prepares to cross into the Gaza Strip on March 23, 2024.

. . ."The International Court of Justice based its March 28 order to Israel to increase the supply of humanitarian aid to Gaza on the IPC report. Israel was therefore met by a deluge of outrage and hate from the world community for supposedly causing this "famine."

In May, the World Food Programme (WFP) of the UN claimed, without a shred of evidence, that there was a "full blown famine" in Gaza.

Now, it turns out, it was all a big lie. There was no famine, there is no famine and Israel has not been using hunger as a "weapon of war":

In its report published on June 4, the UN's IPC concluded that famine was no longer even "plausible" and had no "supporting evidence." The UN has also admitted that until now there have only been 32 deaths in Gaza from malnutrition and 28 of those were among children under 5 years old. No one, however -- not the UN, or the ICJ, the NGOs or all the media outlets that magnified and distributed the lies -- has admitted that they were wrong. On the contrary, on June 18 the New York Times, claiming that Gaza "is facing extreme levels of hunger," continued spreading the lie.

The most recent IPC report, published on June 25, concluded that the supply of food to Gaza had, in fact, increased, not decreased, in recent months and that "In this context, the available evidence does not indicate that famine is currently occurring." '

By comparison, more than three million children in Sudan are acutely  malnourished, and a quarter of a million are likely to die in the coming months. By the UN's own admission, the war in Sudan is "the war the world has either forgotten or ignored." The irony of that statement has clearly been lost on the UN, which is probably the main reason that Sudan – and other conflict spots – is ignored: the UN focuses almost all its resources on Israel and Gaza.

"About 222,000 severely malnourished children and more than 7,000 new mothers are likely to die in coming months if their nutritional and health needs remain unmet," the Nutrition Cluster in Sudan – a partnership of organizations including the UN, Federal Ministry of Health, and NGOs including Save the Children – recently concluded. Overall, 18 million people in Sudan face starvation. Evidently, no one cares." . . . Full article here...

Trump showed Taliban leader satellite picture of his house in threat to ‘obliterate’ him

 Cami Mondeaux - Washington Examiner

"Pompeo then recalled telling Baradar "we knew exactly where his house was" in threatening personal remarks to the Taliban leader during February 2020 peace talks. Pompeo went on to characterize current Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the Biden administration as appearing weak by comparison in their approach to Afghanistan." Newsweek; Aug 17, 2021

"Former President Donald Trump said that at one point when he was in the White House, he threatened one of the top members of the Taliban by sending him a satellite picture of his house and saying he would “obliterate” him.

"The conversation between Trump and Abdul Ghani Baradar, who is now the deputy prime minister of Afghanistan, happened as the former president sought to withdraw all U.S. troops from the country — a goal he was adamant about accomplishing that was later completed in August 2021 under President Joe Biden. However, Trump threatened that if the Taliban launched an attack as U.S. troops were exiting the country, “we’re going to hit you harder than any country has ever been hit,” he said.

" 'He said, ‘I understand, your Excellency,’” Trump recalled, according to an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity released on Thursday. “I’m the one who got it down to very few soldiers. I wanted to get out.”

"Going further, Trump said he threatened to “obliterate” the Taliban leader if he did not listen.

“Didn’t you at one point tell him, ‘I know exactly where you are,’ and give him the exact coordinates where he was?” Hannity asked.

“No,” Trump said. “I sent him a picture of his house. He said, ‘But why, but why do you send me a picture of my house?’ I said, ‘You have to figure that one out.’”

Was This President Trump's Ballsiest Play Ever? Meanwhile Obama and Biden were and are the Feckless Twins

 Stephen Green – PJ Media

"Trump understands that the real trick to being powerful on the world stage is to appear just crazy enough to use that power — and then you almost never have to. We had a lot more peace then, too."

"As President, Donald Trump's ballsiest moment might have come as he was negotiating an end to our two-decade presence in Afghanistan. Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Tex.) told the story to Sage Steele on a recent video podcast.

"I want to leave Afghanistan," Trump is supposed to have said at a high-level meeting with the Taliban. "But it's going to be a conditions-based withdrawal." Hunt recalled Trump saying, "If you harm a hair on a single American, I'm going to kill you."

"After the translator did his bit — and Hunt indicated that the translator was shocked by Trump's statement and hesitated before passing it along — Trump pulled a picture of the Taliban leader's home out of his pocket, handed it to him, and then left.

Statement. Made.

"If this is not the most gangster thing I’ve ever heard," one X user posted, "I don’t know what is."

"It would be superfluous of me to remind you of what happened after Presidentish Joe Biden abruptly (and incompetently) ordered the final bugout from Afghanistan while trying to appease the Taliban, instead.

"Here's an Absolutely True VodkaPundit Tale™ to help illustrate the point.

"An old online acquaintance of mine (who now works on the Hill) served some time in the Air Force as a nuclear missile officer. I once shared a neighborhood map with the street names blanked out, yet he was able to pinpoint almost exactly where I lived. I learned an important lesson that day: never share a map with a guy who targets Minuteman III nuclear-tipped missiles for a living.

"The difference between my old acquaintance, me, Trump, and that Taliban leader is a big one, however. My friend didn't have launch authority, but Trump did. That's a deadly distinction.

"It's certainly a distinction that the unnamed Taliban thug well understood. Sometimes it takes a thuggish act like Trump's to put the fear of God into a genuine thug.

"But was that really President Trump's ballsiest moment? Maybe. " . . .

Journalists: Don't Blame Us, We Were Just Following Orders

UPDATE on Peter Doocy's absense: FOX News' Hillary Vaughn and Peter Doocy Welcome Baby Girl: Photos (people.com)

 David Strom – HotAir

"Read between the lines, and you get: if we cover this story, we help Republicans and piss off the Democrats, and we really really hate the idea of helping Republicans . . . " It's the same argument made for why schools needed to be closed during the pandemic--Trump wanted them reopened, and we couldn't have that."

"Democrat donors and elected officials aren't the only rats scrambling to get off a sinking ship.

"Reporters are on the same ship and have lived there for quite a while. They know they better jump while they still can.

"But they've got a problem: they have participated in the coverup just as much as the president's team.

"Last month, when the Wall Street Journal published the least surprising story in American history--that Joe Biden appears to have slowed down a teeny tiny, almost unnoticeable bit--the rest of the mainstream media jumped all over them and accused them of spreading propaganda.

"Last Thursday's debate exposed the hoax. What to do?

"The "modified limited hangout" is their current answer: admit to a small offense to hide the fact that they committed a much larger one

In June, when the Wall Street Journal published a lengthy piece on President Joe Biden’s mental state, the newspaper got slammed. The White House, its allies, and some in the media – including CNN’s Reliable Sources – criticized the Journal for quoting mostly Republican political foes on the record, who had a clear political motive to damage Biden’s image. No Democrats were quoted on the record making those allegations, and several Democrats complained their on-the-record quotes praising Biden’s sharpness were not included. The Journal defended its reporting at the time.

Judge Denies Biden Admin Attempt To Lock Up Peaceful Pro-Life Protester

  Leif Le Mahieu (dailywire.com)

"During his remarks before the judge, Crampton asked for no jail time to be imposed and said that she should consider the “peaceful protest context” and that the Biden administration’s bringing of conspiracy against rights charges against the pro-lifers was “unprecedented.' ”

"Paul Vaughn, a pro-life father of 11, escaped prison time on Tuesday after he was sentenced in Nashville over his participation in a peaceful protest at a Tennessee abortion facility March 2021.

"The Biden administration had asked for one year of prison time, but U.S. District Judge Aleta Trauger decided to impose no prison time or fine, sentencing Vaughn to three years of supervised release. Vaughn was convicted of violating the FACE Act and in participating in a conspiracy against rights.

"The Biden Justice Department brought charges against Vaughn and 10 other pro-lifers present at a sit-in at the Carafem Health Center Clinic in Mt. Juliet.

When given an opportunity to speak, Vaughn said that the “reason I am engaged in activities is because I care for my country.”

"He added that it was between the judge and God whether he should be “locked up.” Vaughn also maintained that he had never broken the FACE Act, a Clinton-era law that has been used to go after pro-lifers protesting and sidewalk counseling outside of abortion facilities.

"Vaughn also talked about how his children still had nightmares from when the FBI came “with lethal force,” to his home to arrest him. He asked how such a show of force was necessary over non-violent charges. He added that he would have been “more than willing” and “would have come down at any time,” to talk to federal officials about the charges." . . .
