Biden's Former Chief of Staff Admits Kamala Harris Vice Presidency Was a Failure

Bob Hoge RedState

The long article is mostly deferential and complimentary to the vice president, but one can’t help but come away with one key takeaway: they’re trying to sell us a failed vice president as the next commander-in-chief. What could go wrong?

Jennifer Van Laar

"It’s not until you're somewhat deep into yet another mainstream media puff piece of Kamala Harris that you come across a rather startling admission by Joe Biden’s former chief of staff, Ron Klain. He basically admits that the Democrats’ nominee for president failed in her VP gig.

"The New York Times headline Sunday certainly might make you think that Harris had mastered the intricacies of the job: “A Vice Presidential Learning Curve: How Kamala Harris Picked Her Shots,” it reads. But after first describing how Harris was “deliberate and disciplined” despite the many pitfalls she faced as the first female vice president, the Times finally got to the point (emphasis mine):

[Klain] …acknowledged that she [Harris] was not always well served by the White House. “We were all united behind the idea she should be successful. We just didn’t find the path to do it,” he said.

“People really liked her,” Mr. Klain added. “There’s a lot of enthusiasm for her. And I don’t think we did a good enough job of selling her.”

"Frankly, that assessment makes all three of them—Klain, Biden, and Harris—look incompetent. Political commentator and Fox News pundit Steve Hilton took note:

My Fellow American Jews: Kamala Harris' Democratic Party Is No Party for Us

 Lee Zeldin Opinion

Days after she took over her party's nomination, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a Joint Address to Congress. Instead of doing her duty and presiding over the Senate Chambers, she chose to visit with a college sorority.

"The Democrat Party's failure to address the rising tide of antisemitism within its ranks has reached a dangerous tipping point, and Vice President and Democratic Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris' actions are emboldening those who hate Jews.

"Since the October 7 massacre, countless radicals within the Democrats' base have taken to the streets. They use Hamas's attack as their rallying cry. They wave the flags of terror organizations on our streets, chant "Death to America" on our soil, and block Jewish students from academic facilities on our college campuses.

"Through silence at times and blatant pandering at others, Kamala Harris is choosing to be led by these people. Meanwhile, her flip-flopping on positions across the board is giving the nation whiplash. Suddenly, Harris wants to accept zero responsibility for the border failures under her watch. She is making believe she isn't on video pushing a fracking ban, and is ridiculously trying to recast President Trump's proposed elimination of tax on tips as her own.

"One area Harris refuses to change course on is her pandering to far-Left Jew haters in her party. After successfully executing her palace coup, ousting the sitting President at the top of the Democrat ticket, and disenfranchising 14 million Democrat voters in the process, Harris could have sent a resounding message to her party faithful that she will no longer tolerate the Hamas sympathizers in their ranks. Instead, every action she has taken since becoming the presumptive Democrat nominee has sent a chilling reminder to Jewish voters across the country that we are not safe under Democrat rule." . . .

Look Who's Really Behind Pro-Palestinian Protests at the DNC   . . ."Jewish Voices for Peace (JVP) and CODEPINK also play significant roles. Both groups amplify harmful antisemitic tropes, masking their bigotry under the guise of political activism. JVP, for instance, refers to itself as the "Jewish wing" of the Palestinian solidarity movement and exploits its "Jewish" identity as a shield against criticism. CODEPINK, meanwhile, has engaged in campaigns that depict Israel and its supporters in deeply negative, dehumanizing ways, further contributing to the spread of antisemitism. In the aftermath of the brutal Hamas massacre in October 2023, CODEPINK referred to the "resistance of Palestinians," highlighting their alignment with extremist ideologies and their complicity in spreading hate and division." . . .   "Outside two cars, there was also two young ladies, naked from the waist down," Shmael told CBS News. "One of the victims was gunshot down in the lower part of her body." - CBS News   If Codepink is anti violence, why not condemn Hamas and Oct 7th?

Opinion | Why I Can’t Stop Writing About Oct. 7 - The New York Times

"A few weeks ago, my mother was watching footage of a Jewish student being taunted and mobbed by anti-Israel demonstrators at Harvard after he tried to film them. “I was born in hiding,” she told me. “I don’t want to die in hiding.'  ” . . .

Megyn Kelly Goes Scorched EARTH Fact-Checking AOC for Claiming Kamala Grew Up 'Middle Class'

 Twitchy

"We knew Democrats would be working really really really hard to sell Kamala Harris this week and full disclosure, we expected them to push some of the craziest and most blatant lies imaginable HOWEVER, we're never really quite prepared to watch AOC talk about, well, anything.

"There is just so much this broad gets wrong we can only assume it's on purpose.

"Surely no one is this stupid, even on the Left, right?

"RIGHT?!

"For example, Sandy thought people would believe her WHOPPER about Kamala Harris growing up middle class. Most kids in the middle class don't have a professor at Berkeley for a parent. Megyn Kelly was good enough to drop this short but definitely NOT sweet fact on AOC's empty head."

"The 'Ummm' is a nice touch, don't you think?" . . .

Biden DNC Speech Is a Historic Trainwreck - With a Slurring, Stumbling, Screaming Speech Full of Lies

Biden actually hates President Trump; a visceral hatred he needs to share widely. TD

Nick Arama, RedState   Opening: "Joe Biden was, on some level, wrapping up his political career during his DNC speech on Monday night. He had expected to give the keynote address on Thursday. That was before the coup, when he was shoved aside and replaced by Kamala Harris as the nominee. So, you can imagine he's not a happy camper when it comes to that.

"It was perhaps appropriate that the day was a mess with protesters breaching the security fence, attacking the police, and getting arrested. Then, Biden made weird comments about former President Donald Trump, claiming his "stability" was still a question.

. . .Closing: "It was an incredibly bad speech. It could have been about his legacy, such as it is. Instead, it became an angry, ranting speech full of lies and unhappiness. Every lie he regularly tells about Trump, he threw in here. He didn't seem to understand that this is it. It was as though he never scaled his acceptance speech back.

"Now he's off to California for vacation for a week. So much for campaigning for Kamala Harris."

In between the article discusses Biden's lies and misrepresentations one by one, such as this one, with many more in the text linked.

He lied about him and Kamala bringing down the murder rate and said it would keep coming down if they "put a prosecutor" in the office rather than a "convicted felon."

Biden then lied about the border, blaming Trump when Biden was responsible for the border failures because he undid all the security from the first day he came in.

Biden started screaming and lying about Trump, claiming he said "suckers and losers" about the military — another lie that has been thoroughly debunked, just like Charlottesville, yet he keeps saying it.

Did Trump Call Fallen Soldiers 'Suckers' and 'Losers'? | Snopes.com  Trump Allies Deny the Claims  "The White House blamed the canceled cemetery visit on poor weather. Responding to The Atlantic's reporting, Trump said the accusation was "a disgraceful situation" by a "terrible magazine."

"Trump strongly denied calling fallen soldiers "losers" and "suckers." Speaking to reporters on Sept. 3, 2020, upon returning from a campaign rally to Washington, D.C., just after the report came out, Trump said: "I would be willing to swear on anything that I never said that about our fallen heroes. There is nobody that respects them more. No animal — nobody — what animal would say such a thing?"

"Just days later, Zach Fuentes, a former White House aide who left the administration in early 2019 and was with the president on the Paris trip and presumably near him during the in-question conversations about the cemetery visit, stood up for Trump in an interview with  Breitbart."

FACT CHECK: Fact-Checking Biden’s Claim That Trump Referred To Veterans As ‘Suckers And Losers’ | Check Your Fact"

. . . “Numerous first-hand accounts– even from people like John Bolton and Alyssa Farah [Griffin] — vehemently denied the bogus claims from unnamed sources looking to use American heroes for their sick and twisted political attacks. The fact remains that severe weather conditions on that day prevented the safe transportation of the President and guests to the cemetery, and he participated in a ceremony at the Suresnes American Cemetery the next day. The Biden team is desperate because they know Biden has repeatedly disrespected the men and women who serve this country with honor and valor every single day,” LaCivita said.

Boring as hell: Biden makes his lonnng farewell speech

. . ."He did his King Lear-like shouting, and repeated these whoppers about President Trump, all of them severely debunked, but like an old guy on the porch, just likes repeating them:" . . .

It was perhaps appropriate that the day was a mess with protesters breaching the security fence, attacking the police, and getting arrested.  Biden Speech Delayed Due To ‘Raucous Applause’ To Other, Lesser Democrats

The Morning Briefing: The Final Ride of Adderall Joe  . . ."His handlers got the uppers cocktail timed right, however, and it was the wired, angry, SOTU version of Joe Biden who hit the stage as midnight drew nigh. Forget the soft mumbling; Screamin' Joe was back. If you like emphatic finger-pointing, Biden's DNC farewell speech was the motherlode. The puppet masters also seemed to have had him practice shaking his fist a lot.

"Even when he stuck to the script, it was nonsensical. Remember, the Democrats still insist that his presidency has been a shining success. Heck, they're doubling down on it because Kamala Harris is just going to regift his lousy policies to the American people. He spent much of his time touting his alleged accomplishments, but because of whatever trickery they used to keep him awake, he seemed more angry than proud while doing it.

"I mean, like, really angry. There's only much magic that can be worked with stimulants; they can't be fine-tuned for occasional subtlety." . . .

Just in case you're pitying Joe Biden making his DNC farewell ...   . . ."Hunter was a pawn, the mere bagman for Joe, who used his offices to propel himself to riches and political power. In doing that, he left a lot of wrecked lives and tried to defame those who protested into gold-diggers and liars, when in reality, there was a little child involved and they didn't want her around as a passive rebuke to their disgusting quest for power and bottom-of-the-barrel morals."

My Fondless Farewell to the Worst Human Being to Serve as President

. . ."Biden's economic record includes the worst bout of inflation in almost 50 years, a seemingly permanent jobs recession, and an explosion of spending, debt, and regulation meant to hobble this country for generations. His foreign policy of coddling authoritarians and dictators while running roughshod over our allies has unleashed war from Eastern Europe through the Middle East to the Red Sea — and the Pacific isn't looking too great, either.

"There's more but I don't want to talk about his awful record. I want to talk about the awful human being.

"Biden spent decades using the corpses of his first wife and baby daughter, Neilia and Naomi, to garner sympathy from audiences. Killed in a car crash that authorities determined was almost certainly due to Neilia being distracted by three kids in the car, Biden blamed the innocent truck driver who "drank his lunch" that terrible day.

"Curtis Dunn did no such thing. His daughter, Pamela Hamill, spent years trying to get Biden to apologize for smearing her father. Although Dunn was not at fault and was quick to render assistance, he was haunted by the accident for the rest of his life. Hamill said, “He always got very solemn around Christmastime because the anniversary was Dec. 18, and he never wanted to celebrate the holidays.”

"Biden never did apologize." . . .

"We have had worse presidents than Joe Biden, although you have to get down to the bottom of the barrel where James Buchanan and Woodrow Wilson reside to find them. But I don't think we've ever had a worse human being.

"The bitterness he must feel at the ignominious end of his career is nothing compared to the damage, personal and political, he was happy to leave in his wake." . . .

He is currently in the process of doing the same to Donald Trump. TD

Democrats And Their Riots

 I & I Editorial Board

. . ."Maybe reason will win over rage. But the Democrat leaders have a history of aligning themselves with groups whose factory settings are malice and lawlessness. The party presents itself as moderate, but the immoderates who are filling the street see beyond the disguise." . . .

"Vice President Hubert Humphrey entered the 1968 Democratic National Convention polling well though he had run in none of the primaries nor had he received a single vote. The convention, marred by conflict and bloodshed, was “disastrous” in historical terms, with Republican Richard Nixon emerging, says the Washington Post, as “the one person” who was “fully victorious.”

"Will this year’s convention, in Chicago, just as in 1968, yield a similar result? Those who care for the future of this country and don’t want it fundamentally transformed by radicals, should pray so.

"The similarities between the Democrats’ 1968 and 2024 conventions go far beyond the host city. In both cases, the incumbent president backed out of the race and turned over the top of the ticket to his vice president. Like Humphrey, Kamala Harris ran in no primaries and took in a total of zero votes. Yet she’s been polling well against her Republican challenger, just as Humphrey showed well in most of the polls since spring of the year.

"After the convention, however, Humphrey’s polling lead became a deficit that climbed into double digits. He lost to Nixon by about a half millions votes and was swamped in the Electoral College 301-191.

"Will we see a replay of this in 2024? Will Harris’ numbers fall flat after the sugar high of the convention?

"Could happen, because this year’s Democratic convention might be as violent as the 1968 version, which was wrecked by protests against the war in Vietnam. The Chicago Tribune reported that Michigan Avenue became “a bloodied battleground.” where “scores were injured and thousands affected by tear gas.” Rioters “were thrown into police vans and arrested” and “glass windows on the Michigan Avenue side of the Hilton” where Humphrey and party leaders were headquartered, “were shattered.” The party was eating its own.

"Fifty-six years later, demonstrators took to the streets even before the convention began, with “a coalition comprised of various feminist and pro-Palestinian groups,” says the local media, marching on Sunday." . . .

Joe Biden Delivers Insanely Disgusting Off-Script Line During DNC Speech That Has Everyone Talking

RedState

These are sick people, lacking all moral clarity, and if Europe is any guide, left-wingers will gladly hand their countries over to Islamists as long as they get the joy of virtue-signaling about how tolerant they are. That is what's at stake in November.

The IDF recovered the bodies of six Israeli hostages last night. They were found dead in a tunnel in Khan Yunis. Hamas kidnapped Israeli civilians alive on October 7, tortured them in an underground tunnel, and executed them. The Palestinians are the most evil people on Earth. First Gentleman Doug Emhoff pictures with his daughter Ella, who fundraised for Hamas-linked UNRWA.

"Shortly before midnight on Monday evening, Joe Biden finally took the stage at the DNC. Billed as his "final speech" and a tribute to his career, the failed president, who dropped out of the race in July, was nothing new. Instead, his time behind the podium was incredibly typical, with lots of angry shouting and repeating the same old lies. If you watched his last State of the Union, you've heard it all."

. . ."I suppose expecting an 81-year-old mental invalid to bring anything fresh to the table was never realistic. Regardless of his deficient mental state, he's the same guy he's always been. Namely, a deranged sociopath whose arrogance is only matched by his vapidness.

"But while the speech was more of the same, he did go off-script at one point. Immediately after repeating the "very fine people" hoax regarding Charlottesville, which has been repeatedly debunked by even mainstream news sources, Biden made the following mention.

According to Joseph Robinette Biden, the terrorist-supporting lunatics outside the DNC who are promising to "bring the war home" while burning American flags "have a point." Here's a reminder of exactly who he was talking about.

. . ."If you are an idiot who marched with a tiki torch seven years ago, Joe Biden won't ever shut up about you. If you're a pro-Hamas nazi who threatens to murder police officers while declaring a "global intifada," he'll say you "have a point." Of course, he's not alone in his dangerous appeasement. Kamala Harris has said similar things and essentially all Democrats outside of a few exceptions (only Sen. John Fetterman comes to mind) have done their level best to coddle the genocidal maniacs who make up their party's base.

"Not surprisingly, the president's words led to justified outrage."

"No Israel. No Jews. No Palestinian atrocities. No Hamas. Just "Palestinian people", "Palestinian suffering," and GAZA, GAZA, GAZA."

But the truth hurts, doesn't it, Democrats?  Civilians who followed Hamas into Israel to loot and vandalize communities on October 7 showed their true faces   "The fact that the Hamas terrorists who invaded her kibbutz on October 7 wanted to murder everyone there came as no surprise to Irit Lahav, a peace activist from Nir Oz, where one in four residents were killed or kidnapped." . . .

. . ."Yet she had always believed that Hamas’s actions were distinct from and unrepresentative of the wishes of the silent majority of Palestinian civil society — ordinary and decent people whom she imagined were concerned primarily with providing for their children and improving their own lives under difficult circumstances.

"That belief was shattered on October 7, by what she says were “hundreds of civilians, including women and children, who followed” behind the terrorists, invading Israeli communities to celebrate and join in the pillaging, vandalization and destruction of Israeli communities.

“ 'This wasn’t something I had factored in,” said Lahav." . . .

Kamala’s coronation is a blow for US democracy

Kamala’s coronation is a blow for US democracy; UK Telegraph  . . ."Of course, one thing she absolutely will not do is talk to reporters. There’s been no formal press conference since she stole Joe’s mantle, not a single sit-down interview. She declined even to speak with Time magazine, despite it comparing the candidate to Obama and putting a pencil portrait of Kamala on the cover that Trump admitted made her look “beautiful”.

The message is that Kamala is “normal” while her opponents are “weird”, an impression reinforced by tapping Governor Tim Walz for her vice president. He served in the military. He taught in a school. Tim – a name that evokes decency and trust – has been crowned “America’s dad”, albeit a dad who takes a weirdo position on trans rights, abortion and illegal immigration." . . .

From ‘Joy’ to Division: DNC Brings Bitter Hillary to Taunt Trump over Conviction    "The Democrats’ talking point heading into their party convention in Chicago was about “joy,” but they regressed into division on the first night, bringing out former nominee Hillary Clinton to taunt former President Donald Trump.

Clinton smirked as she called Trump “”the first person to run for president with 34 felony convictions.”

Trump was convicted in May in Manhattan by a prosecutor who had run for office promising to put him in jail, on charges that had never been brought in New York State before — and which, if applied to Clinton herself, would have resulted in her own conviction.

Trump was accused of failing to report payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels as campaign expenditures; Clinton hid campaign expenditures on Fusion GPS, the firm that invented the “Russia collusion” hoax.

Clinton’s reference to the case of Stormy Daniels — with whom Trump has denied having an affair — was also ironic: Clinton, of course, is married to philanderer Bill Clinton, whose affair with an intern led to his impeachment.

Moreover, Clinton was widely viewed as having skated in 2016 on potential charges of abusing official documents and classified information, after she kept emails on a private server that were never turned back over to the government.

As she taunted Trump, the crowd broke into chants of “Lock him up!” Clinton tried to talk over the crowd at first, but then let them continue chanting. (Trump faces potential jail time in New York after his sentencing in September.)

Clinton’s reference to Trump’s convictions was no accident; it was part of the convention’s message for the evening. Immediately after she spoke, a video was shown about Trump’s case, and his other prosecutions. The video edited Trump’s speech on January 6, 2021, deceptively, omitting the words “peacefully and patriotically.” It also claimed, falsely, that Trump warned of a “bloodbath” if he lost (he was speaking about the consequences in the car industry)."

'Staged' Event for Harris (Below)

"The already-long 2024 presidential campaign has become the strangest in modern history.

"Here are 10 unanswered questions that illustrate how and why we’ve entered this bizarro world:

"1. How can Kamala Harris merely promise us fixes to come in 2025 for inflation and an open border when she is still vice president for another six months? Why can’t she enact her proposed solutions to these problems (which she helped create) right now?

"2. Would the media prefer to help her win but lose further credibility themselves by failing to ask why she has disowned her last three decades of leftist agendas, or to reclaim some of their reputations and thereby risk her losing?

"3. Does the Left appreciate the new campaign and election protocols it has now established?

"That is to say:

"Cancel by fiat their virtual nominee four months before the election when he sinks in the polls?

"Nullify the outcome of a year of primaries and the will of 14 million voters?

"Threaten a sitting president with removal by the 25th Amendment process unless he steps aside as his party nominee?

"Anoint a replacement nominee before the convention and without a single primary—and then prevent any rival candidates from challenging her?

"4. After the precedents of 2020 and 2024, is the future orthodox protocol for any Democratic nominee now to avoid all interviews and extempore speaking, and stick to teleprompted speeches and scripted responses only?

"Is the fear that a transparent progressive messenger with an overt and honest left-wing message will double down on it and thus guarantee defeat?" . . .  Full article.
