Prosecutors file alleged letter from Trump suspect: 'This was an assassination attempt'

 Zach Schonfeld (thehill.com)

"The suspect being investigated in the recent apparent assassination attempt of former President Trump wrote a letter detailing his plans months prior, prosecutors alleged in court documents filed Monday.

" 'Dear world, this was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I am so sorry I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster,” the alleged letter reads

"Prosecutors said Ryan Routh, the 58-year-old suspect, put the letter inside a box and dropped it off with an unnamed witness “several months” before he pushed the muzzle of a rifle through the perimeter of Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course in Florida on Sept. 15.

"The witness only opened the box, which also contained ammunition and other letters, after learning of the incident.

"The filing also revealed that Routh’s phone pinged cell towers near Trump’s golf course and Mar-a-Lago for nearly a month in the lead-up to the incident.  When searching Routh’s car, authorities also purportedly found a handwritten list of dates and venues where Trump had appeared or was expected to be present.

" 'Everyone across the globe from the youngest to the oldest know that Trump is unfit to be anything, much less as US president. U.S. presidents must at bare minimum embody the moral fabric that is America and be kind, caring and selfless and always stand for humanity,” it reads.

"A photo of the first page of the letter was attached as part of prosecutors’ written arguments for why Routh should continue to be detained. He is scheduled to appear in court later Monday for a detention hearing." . . .

Ilhan Omar says thousands of Haitian migrants overrunning Springfield actually revived town. Wait! Who?

In Islam, her words can be called "Taqiyya", can they not? TD

 Harold Hutchison (alphanews.org)

Residents of Springfield interviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation outlined how the community has struggled to handle the influx of migrants.

Andelino's Weblog

. . .“ 'These are people who have revived and breathed a new life into a community that was desperately seeking change,” Omar continued. “The kind of, the kind of ways in which their new employers and their new neighbors describe them is what every immigrant, when they come to this country, wants to be described. That they are hardworking, that they are warm, that they are friendly, that they are excited to be part of this new community that they find themselves. Because ultimately, that is what immigrants do and we should know that as a nation of immigrants.”

"The Biden administration has allowed migrants from Haiti to come into the U.S. via the “CHNV” program, which allows Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans to receive parole and enter the country by plane, even if they might not normally receive visas, according to the America First Policy Center.

“We should know what it means for our country to have that renewed promise every single day of being a beacon of hope, of providing that opportunity,” Omar said. “And for us to want to be seen by the world as such and not be seen through the lens of small men like Trump and J.D. Vance, who have so much insecurities, that instead of uplifting people that they want to put them down. So I am so proud to be in this body with colleagues who have the bravery, the courage and the backbone to say we are not going to allow in our name for our Haitian siblings to come into this country and face this derogatory, demeaning narrative.”

Democrats Rush to Rashida Tlaib’s Rescue Over Cartoon Depicting Her With Exploded Pager

  Stacey Matthews (legalinsurrection.com)

"The bad news is the Outrage Mob is continuing to do its thing. Hopefully, NRO won’t back down in the face of demands for an apology/retraction."

"The story of the exploding pagers and how they wreaked absolute havoc on Hezbollah terrorists last week will be studied, analyzed, and debated long after anyone reading this is gone.

“ 'The attack on the militant and political group Hezbollah via exploding pagers and walkie-talkies this week, widely believed to be conducted by Israel, was a novel use of a well-trodden spy tactic and a devastating intelligence blow to Hezbollah, ” NBC News reported after interviews with warfare and intelligence experts.

"The tactic, of course, was condemned by The Usual Suspects including members of the so-called “Squad” of anti-Israel radicals in Congress like Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who called it “disgusting” and retweeted a post from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who declared “This attack clearly and unequivocally violates international humanitarian law and undermines US efforts to prevent a wider conflict.”

"Two days later, cartoonist Henry Payne shared the following cartoon on his Twitter/X page, which featured Tlaib acting shocked that her pager had exploded:" . . .

Iconic American Company Shutters Its Last Full Size Store, Marking End of an Era

  TFPP Wire

"With only a downsized store remaining in Miami, Kmart’s journey from a retail powerhouse to near oblivion is a brutal reminder of the relentless pace of change in the retail sector and the necessity for businesses to adapt or face extinction."

"The last full-size Kmart store in the continental United States will close its doors for the last time in October, according to a new report from Fox Business. According to reports, the Bridgehampton, New York store, operational for the past 25 years, will cease operations on October 20th. This closure highlights the end of an era for the once-dominant retailer, leaving only a reduced-size store in Miami as the sole Kmart in the continental U.S., alongside three locations in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Key Facts:

– The final full-size Kmart in Bridgehampton, New York is closing on October 20.

– Post-closure, the only remaining Kmart in the continental U.S. will be a downsized store in Miami.
– Kmart, under the ownership of Transformco, still maintains three stores in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
– The first Kmart opened in 1962; the company has since faced multiple bankruptcies, the most recent in 2018.

The Rest of The Story:  "The closure of the last full-size Kmart in the continental U.S. represents a significant decline from the chain’s peak in the early 1990s, when it boasted around 2,300 locations. The Bridgehampton store, which has been a community staple for a quarter-century, is set to shut down, according to a report from Newsday, citing store employees.

"This move will make the Miami store, which now occupies a fraction of its original size in the Kendale Lakes Plaza, the last standing Kmart in mainland America. Kimco Realty Corp., the real estate company that owns the shopping centers housing these stores, confirmed the upcoming closure.

Commentary:  "This latest closure is emblematic of Kmart’s inability to evolve with the changing times, signifying the end of an era for what was once a retail titan.

"Kmart’s decline has been long and fraught with challenges, including multiple bankruptcies and an ill-fated merger with Sears.

"Their inability to adapt to new retail models and consumer preferences has left them trailing far behind competitors who embraced digital transformation and more agile business strategies." . . .

'Nobody Trust Oprah': Oprah’s Kamala Harris Interview Sparks Chaos from Trump Fanatics, Forcing Her to Lock Down Comments (atlantablackstar.com)

(Excerpt). . ."However, the comment section quickly devolved into a battleground for political rhetoric, with Trump supporters flooding in. “One billionaire and one millionaire telling us we can’t trust the Rich,” read one comment, while another added, “This will be a pass. No more respect for Oprah and never had any for Kamala.” "Fanatics" = voters; TD

Kamala Harris hit for being vague, dodging questions in recent interviews: 'She owes us these answers' | Fox News  "The WSJ's Peggy Noonan said Harris 'couldn't or wouldn't answer a single question straight' "

. . ."Critics online accused the vice president of offering rambling commentary that didn't seem to have much substance.

"Oprah is looking at this moron thinking, "What the sh*t is she saying?" Unbelievable CRINGE," author Juanita Broaddrick wrote on Thursday.

" 'The fact that she is within 20 points of Trump is a depressingly sad commentary on the state of our body politic and the media that poisons it,," attorney David Limbaugh wrote. "Stunning."

" 'To call this pablum is an insult to pablum," ReaclClearPolitics co-founder Tom Bevan said on Friday.

HARRIS TELLS OPRAH ANYONE BREAKING INTO HER HOME IS 'GETTING SHOT:' 'PROBABLY SHOULD NOT HAVE SAID THAT'

" 'This might just be the most spectacular two minutes of Kamala’s nonsensical wisdom I have ever heard," political commentator Kate Hyde wrote on Thursday.

Our So-called ‘Experts’ and their Silly Group-speak Letters; Victor Davis Hanson

As a general rule, anytime we read an election-cycle solicited letter from retired functionaries, replete with their grandiose former titles, we should completely discount it.VDH

American Greatness
They inevitably were rounded up by politicos. The signees in many cases are likely angling for a return to government; in others, they are loudly virtue-signaling—and in nearly all instances, are usually wrong but will never issue a second letter of apology when their concocted expertise and pretentiousness are thoroughly discredited by subsequent events.
"One of the most preposterous recent trends has been the political use of supposed expert letters and declarations of support from so-called “authorities.”
"These pretentious testimonies of purported professionalism are different from the usual inane candidate endorsements from celebrities and politicos.
"Instead, they are used by politicians to impress and persuade the public to follow the “expertise,” “science,” or “authorities” to support all sorts of injurious initiatives and policies—of dubious value and otherwise without much political support.
"Think of all the health experts who collectively swore to us that the COVID mRNA vaccinations would give us ironclad and lasting protection from being either infectious or infected and were without any side effects.
"Other “authorities” assured us the first nationwide lockdown in U.S. history would stop COVID without hurting the social or economic life of the country.
"Ditto testimonies about the pangolin-bat origins of COVID or the authenticity of the bogus Steele dossier.
"Do we still remember the 1,200 healthcare “professionals” who in June 2020 told us that hitting the streets in mass numbers to protest during the post-George Floyd riots was a legitimate exemption from their own prior insistence on a complete nationwide quarantine? Or as these ideologues lectured us as “experts”:
" 'We wanted to present a narrative that prioritizes opposition to racism as vital to the public health, including the epidemic response. We believe that the way forward is not to suppress protests in the name of public health but to respond to protesters demands in the name of public health.”
"To convince the public to get behind the agendas of politicians—increasingly on the left—ideologues round up groups of politically kindred professors, researchers, retired officials, and former bureaucrats to show off their supposed expertise and convince the public by means of their “authority”." . . .   Sen. Clueless or Deluded? 700 'National Security Officials' Release Letter Endorsing Kamala Harris – RedState   "Of all the things that Kamala Harris is unfit to do, of all the duties she should never be entrusted with, commander-in-chief of the American armed forces and the national intelligence apparatus has to be at the top of the list. That is not, however, preventing over 700 "national security officials" from endorsing her in her POTUS run. That's an endorsement that is almost as chilling as her endorsement by the tax collectors union." . . .
"Vice President Harris, if we're being perfectly honest, has no leadership qualities whatsoever. She is not prepared. In the few softball interviews she has done, she has yet to give one direct answer, even to the list of carefully prepared softball questions she has had gently lobbed at her. Even in her one debate with former President Trump, her "rebuttals" were weak - not one direct answer, not one unambiguous policy position." . . .

Nine of Those 'Intelligence Experts' Who Just Endorsed Kamala Signed False Hunter Laptop Disinfo Letter

 Bob Hoge RedState

. . ."Ward Clark wrote in his story about the Harris endorsement, titled appropriately enough, “Clueless or Deluded? 700 'National Security Officials' Release Letter Endorsing Kamala Harris” . . .

"The second I read the headline about 700 former national security and military officials endorsing Kamala Harris for president, I thought, “Were any of them the same ones who signed the infamous, duplicitous letter in October 2020—right before the election—that claimed Hunter Biden’s lurid laptop was likely Russian disinformation?”

"It was a lie, and many if not all of those 51 “experts” knew it. To this day, most make no apology for their attempts to gaslight the public and affect the outcome of a presidential election:

"Not surprisingly, the answer to my question above is “yes.” Nine of those miscreants signed on to the Kamala Harris endorsement. Not surprisingly, one of the most dishonest men in public life is one of the them—none other than former CIA Director John Brennan. He’s joined by his equally ethically challenged cohorts, former CIA Director Leon Panetta and former DNI James Clapper. Here are all nine:

  • former Director of National Intelligence Jim Clapper
  • former CIA Director Michael V. Hayden
  • former CIA Director Leon E. Panetta
  • former CIA Director John Brennan
  • former Acting CIA Director John E. McLaughlin
  • former CIA chief of staff Laurence M. Pfeiffer
  • former Department of Defense chief of staff Jeremy Bash
  • CIA chief of station John Sipher
  • former National Intelligence Council Chair Gregory Frye Treverton. . . .
