Is Obama’s Kingmaker Era Over?

By Peachy Keenan @ Tom Klingenstein

. . .They are a sad couple, the Obamas. They achieved more than their wildest dreams and are richer than all but a few humans have ever been. But it’s not enough for them, and it never will be." . . .

"Last week, Barack Obama plaintively wailed at a rally for Kamala Harris, “I don’t understand how we got so toxic and just divided.” Who was this mystery culprit who injected so much hate into the national discourse? We must track down the man who did this to us!

"I wanted to hand him a mirror.

"Obama spent eight years in office tearing up American race relations, which we stupidly assumed had been solved when citizens of every race voted for him as president. But no: that was the start of a long national backslide — thanks to Obama himself.

"As a loyal Alinskyite, Obama knew that division and full-blown race riots were the tried-and-true path to electoral victory for the Left, and he did not disappoint. He reignited animosities that had largely been sublimated, turned illegal immigration into a machete to use against American citizens’ sovereign rights, and, perhaps most cruelly, weaponized the federal government more brazenly against his political opponents than any previous president.

"This election, the stakes are high for Obama: If Kamala loses, it will be the end of his pernicious shadow presidency once and for all.

"Even worse, Democrats may finally realize who the prime architect of the catastrophe is: Obama himself. For he is the key figure responsible for the current predicament the Democrats find themselves in, hamstrung with a sputtering candidate and her bumbling running mate, handpicked for her by Eric Holder, longtime Obama confidant.

"In 2020, Obama used all his considerable clout in the party to shut down all of Joe Biden’s primary opponents. He knew that in a race full of liberal women and Pete Buttigieg, only Joe could hang on to what remained of the Obama-Biden coalition and win. Plus, with Joe in the White House, Obama could keep running things from his estate on Martha’s Vineyard.

"In 2020, Joe Biden was already nearing the end of his shelf life. The Hunter stuff was bad, but they could bury that. But how to hide Joe’s obvious decline? Ignore it and hope he could be dragged across the finish line." . . .

John Stossel Expertly Highlights Just How Biased the Corporate Media Is

 Brandon Morse

As Stossel points out, there's not much to the corporate media now in terms of quality. In this day and age, it should be well understood by the first world that the media isn't here to give you the news, it's here to give you propaganda. It has no interest in telling the truth if the truth is inconvenient to the elite.

"Few people can explain things like John Stossel can. The man's videos are always a pleasure to watch, and he releases with some regularity, making him a fun follow on social media.

Stossel recently released a video that I feel is something that all people should see, and I don't just mean in America. I really think this video should be viewed before election time because it truly highlights a massive problem the first world is having.

Our media is entirely corrupt, biased, and out of control.

In the video titled "Media Bias (and Not So Subtle) Ways Journalists Slant the News," Stossel shows you just how simpering and worshiping the corporate media is at the feet of the Democrat Party. In the initial clips, you can see that despite the claim that the corporate media's claim that it's wholly unbiased, they do nothing to try to hide their disdain for the right and their fawning over the left.

The first clip shows a CNN reporter telling Kamala Harris that she's "struck" by her presence. He displays how Donald Trump's victory speeches were ignored by corporate news anchors, while Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's speeches were listened in on.

Stossel points out that it's okay to point out when Trump lies, but it's also good to do the same to Democrats, which the media just isn't doing, giving several examples from Joe Biden. He even points out that he head of NPR is an avowed anti-Trump personality who openly claims he's a "racist," but called the BLM riots, including the destruction and looting, was a reaction to a "system of oppression."

"She's now the boss of government funded radio?" asked Stossel. "Yes!"

He then goes into how the press covers the border, pointing out how the press came down hard on Texas Governor Greg Abbott for enforcing border law, but had an almost reverent tone when talking about sanctuary cities.

The REAL threat to democracy? Read Kamala's plot to change America forever, writes DAN MCLAUGHLIN

 UK Daily Mail

"Democrats have been institutionally bad for democracy. And the woman they anointed leader of their party this summer – despite her not winning a single presidential primary vote – is among the worst of them." . . .

"And for her last act, Kamala Harris is posing as a champion of democracy.

" 'It is time to turn the page on the drama and the conflict, the fear and division,' the Vice President declared in her closing argument on Tuesday night, while standing at the site of Donald Trump's infamous January 6 speech." . . .

. . ."During her 2019 campaign for president, Harris promised all manner of extra-constitutional executive dictates, including mass confiscation of guns. That proposal was so blatantly illegal that Biden told her on the Democratic primary debate stage that it would be an impossibility in America.

"She laughed in his face: 'Hey Joe, instead of saying no we can't, let's say yes we can.'

"That dictatorial impulse has persisted.

. . ."She vowed to pack the nine-person Supreme Court with additional justices – a plot last tried by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1937. Senators from his party rebelled, saying that court-packing 'should be so emphatically rejected that its parallel will never again be presented to the free representatives of the free people of America.'

"Harris has refused to rule out packing the Court if she were elected next week.

"And if that weren't bad enough, she has done all that she can to undermine the Court's authority.

"When Justice Brett Kavanaugh sat before a committee for his nomination hearing, Harris read into the Congressional record the most outlandish claims (pushed by a lawyer who's now in jail) that the esteemed judge had been involved in a serial gang rape conspiracy.

"Is it any surprise, then, that a record low four-in-ten Americans approve of the Supreme Court? It's undeniable that the Democrats have again and again eroded the rule of law, respect for elections and faith in governing institutions." . . .

Kamala Harris is a mean girl   . . ."There’s no other way to say it: Kamala Harris is mean. And like any mean girl, she enjoys calling those she doesn’t like “weird.” That’s her moniker for Trump and Vance — beloved fathers who, unlike Harris, have spent years building things bigger and better than political careers. Trump is a successful businessman and an adored grandfather. Vance is a veteran, entrepreneur, acclaimed author and family man whose story typifies the American Dream. Kamala Harris is a vengeful, power-hungry bully who calls normal “weird.”

"What’s much worse than a “weird” guy? A mean girl. Kamala Harris has proven, over and over again in her career, that she will trample on the weak and the vulnerable to get what she wants". . . Below: Booker and Harris laugh at their verbal abuse of Judge Kavanaugh.

From the fry machine to the garbage Truck

Trump rides in ‘big, beautiful’ MAGA garbage truck after Biden attack on his supporters   . . ."The stunt comes one day after President Biden, 81, referred to Trump supporters as “garbage” on a campaign call at the White House, denouncing comments made by comic Tony Hinchcliffe, in which he called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” at the Republican nominee’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday.

" 'The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American,” Biden said during a call with Voto Latino Group, as Vice President Kamala Harris rallied at the nearby Ellipse in Washington, DC, stressing how the Democratic Party would unify the country.

"Republicans blasted the insult and drew immediate comparisons to then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s remark in 2016 that half of Trump’s supporters should be put into a “basket of deplorables.” . . .

Biden Lights a Dumpster Fire on the Harris Campaign    "So now Democrats have to pretend that calling an island with a sanitation problem garbage is the worst thing to ever happen ever ever, while simultaneously pretending that calling American citizens garbage over voting preferences is no big deal.

"It really shouldn't be a problem. Hypocrisy has never slowed them down before, why should it now? "This would be a horrendous tightrope for someone with a conscience to walk. But for a democrat it's just another Wednesday.

So am I garbage with an apostrophe?    . . ."When in doubt use an apostrophe? I guess that the cleanup crew at the White House thinks that we are that stupid. Yes, he didn't call the Trump supporters "garbage" because they added an apostrophe in the transcript. Why didn't I think of that?

"In the end, this is a president who is now a full victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome. He got the virus and is behaving the same irrational way that all the others do."

So am I garbage with an apostrophe?. . .

Happy Halloween fellow ‘garbage’ people! . . .
I assume many of you will be dressing up as refuse for Halloween tonight. Hefty bag? Trash bin? Dumpster? All great costumes!

Harris campaign dishes out six-figure donations to groups who support defunding police, reparations

Andrew Mark Miller , Cameron Cawthorne Fox News   Then Senator Kamala Harris speaks in support of 'defund the police' during 2020 radio interview

"The Harris campaign cut multiple six-figure checks last month for left-leaning groups that have been vocal about defunding the police, reparations, and are tied to radical activists who have supported notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan.

"The Harris campaign gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to a handful of Black advocacy groups who are mobilizing Black voters ahead of November's election next week, according to FEC filings released last week.

"Black Voters Matters Fund, which received $150,000 from the Harris campaign on Sept. 19, has repeatedly called for defunding the police and has been vocal about pushing for reparations.

"The answer to police violence against communities of color is not more money for police," the group wrote in February 2023. "It's time to defund the police and redirect those resources into building strong, healthy communities."

"In 2020, the group also tweeted, "We are proud to be partner in the #DemocracyFrontlinesFund, created to leverage millions of new dollars to fund Black-led organizers fighting for free and fair elections, and working to defund prisons and police."

" 'There are more than 3,000 sheriffs in the US, nearly all are elected, the group said in another post. "We are working to defund sheriffs and build voter power. Reimagining the system also comes with taking action!"

"The group's co-founder Latosha Brown, who has been a frequent visitor to the Biden-Harris White House, has repeatedly posted about the group's reparations push and said in a 2021 X post that she has been working on the issue for 27 years." . . .

North Texas mayor born in Puerto Rico reiterates support for Trump after divisive joke at New York rally. But first, Biden calls Trump supporters "garbage"!

First this:  Biden's 'Garbage' Reference to Trump Supporters Has White House Scrambling  "President Joe Biden appeared to call Trump supporters "garbage" in a video that quickly went viral, stirring a furious backlash among conservatives and forcing the White House to issue a clarifying statement.

"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters ... his his his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it's un-American," Biden said in the video, denouncing a comedian's joke at a rally for former President Donald Trump that referred to Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage." . . .

 WFAA-TV, DFW

"[City of] Keller has emerged as a GOP stronghold and the school board there voted to require teachers to use pronouns consistent with the biological sex listed on a student's birth certificate."

"North Texas mayor who was born in Puerto Rico says a comedian’s joke about the U.S. territory at a rally for former President Donald Trump this weekend hasn’t eroded his support for Trump.

"Texas-based comedian and podcaster Tony Hinchcliffe, speaking at a rally for Trump at Madison Square Garden in New York this weekend, referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”

"Hinchcliffe’s other jokes Sunday ranged from the birth rates of Latinos to the debunked "eating dogs and cats" controversy in Ohio and to a swipe at the island nation of Puerto Rico.

"The comments were quickly condemned, including by some Hispanic Republicans, Vice President and Democratic nominee for president Kamala Harris, a Dallas comedian who says he was the target of similar rhetoric during an encounter with Hinchcliffe in 2021, and the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Ricky Martin.

" 'It is absolutely something that is intended to and is fanning the fuel of trying to divide our country," Harris said.

"But Keller Mayor Armin Mizani, an attorney who was elected mayor of the Tarrant County city in 2020 and says he was born and raised in Puerto Rico, took to social media Monday to explain his continued support for Trump.

“For Latinos, faith, family, and economic opportunity motivates us – not some bad joke by a comedian,” Mizani wrote. “Under the Biden and Harris administration, Americans have seen record inflation, an open southern border, increased crime, the weakening of the family structure, and the taking away of God from our daily lives. In contrast, under President Trump, Americans saw secured borders, economic prosperity, a respect for people of faith, and a respect for American values.' ” . . .

Remember that Democrats are not merely "Roast Comedians" having a misguided laugh; they affect the nation of Israel, under attack by those who want all Jews murdered; only because they are Jews. TD

Democratic Party Unites Under Banner of Silence on Gaza Genocide

Progressives and moderates came together to support Kamala Harris by largely ignoring the most pressing moral issue of our time.

Democratic Socialists reject censure of AOC – The Forward   . . ."Rep. Jamaal Bowman, another New York Democrat and outspoken critic of Israel, let his membership in the DSA lapse last year over a dispute over funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system.

"But while the chapter chose not to tighten its anti-Zionist requirement for endorsement seekers this weekend, it passed a resolution strengthening its own commitment to Palestinians and rejection of Israel.

"The measure reaffirms the chapter’s commitment to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, calls for “political, economic, and social equality between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea,” and proposes treating candidates’ financial backing from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee like funding from the National Rifle Association, of which mainstream Democrats widely disapprove.

"The unsuccessful effort to fortify the chapter’s anti-Zionist demands of its endorsees ahead of the November election and next year’s citywide Democratic primaries infuriated some DSA members.

" 'I am ashamed we won’t hold our electeds to an anti-Zionist line by imposing real consequences,” one activist, going by the username @girlcloudnine, posted on X." . . .

UPDATED: About That Puerto Rico Slur….

Alicia Colon: About That Puerto Rico Slur….  . . ."Naturally, Puerto Rican Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are chomping at the bit to capitalize this racist gaffe for their own flagging campaigns and I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they knew beforehand this would occur.

"Trump and other Republicans have rightly condemned the comments made by this ersatz comedian but they need to emphasize the distinction between legal and illegal immigration and offer plans to improve the government's legal immigration process, which takes forever.

It is no secret that minorities like Blacks and Hispanics are waking up to the lies and fake policies of the Democrat party which historically has blatant ties to racism which go ignored by the lamestream media." . . .

Harris Releases Television Ad Highlighting Racist Comments About Puerto Rico Said During Trump Rally at Madison Square Garden

. . ."Mr. Hinchcliffe, a Texas comedian who is close with Joe Rogan, described Puerto Rico as “a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean” during his opening set at the Garden, just hours before the former president took the stage. Other cracks included a remark about Black people “carving watermelons” for Halloween and the sexual proclivities of Latinos.

"The ad, which the Harris campaign released on Monday afternoon, opens with a video of Mr. Hinchcliffe’s comments as he is standing behind a Trump–Vance 2024 placard. Ms. Harris then speaks to the camera as photos of a devastated Puerto Rico post-Hurricane Maria in 2017 roll across the screen." . . .

'Garbage': Why they hate Trump supporters  . . ."Meanwhile, it appears the Harris campaign may have roped in Joe Biden to defend them.

"But that may not be true.

"Axios recently reported that Harris is distancing herself from Biden because of his unpopularity and that it reminds people of the past. An unnamed insider called it a 'slow-moving break-up' between Harris and Biden.
Perhaps Biden voluntarily decided to help out.
Biden raged against Hinchcliffe’s joke about Puerto Rico being a “floating island of garbage” by claiming “the only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters....”

. . ."According to the RealClearPolitics national polling average, Trump is ahead of   Harris by 0.1 percentage points, which means the race is within the margin of error. So when I witness a colossal blunder within days of Nov. 5, I shake my head.
"Last week, Harris was losing moral ground when she accused Trump of being a “fascist,” but this week, even Trump supporters have to consider this unforced error and wonder: Where’s the discipline? Where’s the decency?"   Debra J. Saunders

UPDATE: Biden and WH Desperately Try - and Fail - to Clarify His CommentsCalling Trump Supporters Garbage  "Joe Biden might just have formally ended Kamala Harris' campaign on Tuesday night. The Democrats were trying to go all in attacking the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden, demonizing it as a "Nazi rally" and criticizing what a comedian said there about Puerto Rico. But then Biden blew all that away in his criticism by calling Trump supporters "garbage," as we reported earlier. Politico then tried to spin what he actually said but was caught because video was released showing what he actually said.  '

The Battle of Unrwa: America Could Be Forced To Choose Between Defending Israel or Backing the United Nations.

NY Sun  Tensions over the UN’s agency for dealing with the Palestinian Arabs have become increasingly hostile.

"Anti-Unrwa sentiments have gained steam in Israel as agency employees in Gaza actively participated in the October 7, 2003 atrocities. Unrwa installations serve a double duty as terrorist headquarters, and abet the digging of war tunnels"

"Who will the next president and Congress side with in a brewing, increasingly hostile battle between the United Nations and Israel?

"On Monday the Knesset enacted by a sweeping majority a law that in 90 days will bar the United Nations Relief and Works Agency from operating in Israel, Gaza, and West Bank. The act is raising a global backlash.

"Leading European countries are condemning the law. The Palestinian Arab observer at the UN, Riyad Mansour, is protesting that Israel is “sitting among us.” The Biden administration is urging the Jewish state to reconsider.

"In March Congress suspended all Unrwa payments for a year after Israel exposed Hamas’ control of the agency in Gaza. On Tuesday the American ambassador at the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said however that America is “deeply concerned” over the Knesset legislation.

" 'Instead of speaking at one another, Israel and the UN must speak to one another, to address the fears that led to the Knesset legislation and to ensure that Unrwa can fulfill its critical mandate,” Ms. Thomas-Greenfield told the UN Security Council Tuesday.

"Unrwa was founded in 1949 to aid Arab refugees from Israel’s war of independence. Israelis have long argued that instead, it has enlisted in a Palestinian battle to eventually end Israel’s character as a Jewish state.

"In 1949 the family of a Christian Arab diplomat who currently serves as Israel’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, George Deek, was listed by Unrwa as refugees. Now he laments the agency’s efforts to perpetuate Palestinian status as stateless refugees in Arab countries. " . . .

There Is a Reason Michelle Obama Wasn’t the Nominee. This Is It. This strategy definitely won’t work.

Scott McKay: The American Spectator;

"If the Democrats had junked Joe Biden for Michelle Obama and America had heard three months of speeches like the one you just listened to, how successful do you think it would have ultimately been? Two words come to mind: Black Hillary."

"Dov Fischer rightly clobbered Tony Hinchcliffe, the not-so-funny comedian and podcaster who laid an egg or two in his segment at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, yesterday here at The American Spectator.

"I have no argument with anything Rabbi Dov said. Hinchcliffe’s address disparaging Puerto Rico as an “island of garbage” — which doesn’t necessarily play as badly with Puerto Ricans who got out of there as one might think but why take the risk? — was an unforced error in what was otherwise an unquestionable victory for the Trump campaign at Madison Square Garden. Balanced against Tucker Carlson’s magnificent nine minutes and Vivek Ramaswamy’s tour de force, it’s but a blip on the screen, but on the other hand why have a blip?

"But Dov, I’ll see your Tony Hinchcliffe at Madison Square Garden and raise you Michelle Obama in Kalamazoo.

"Because while it’s a stupid idea to take a chance at offending Puerto Ricans, it’s an even dumber idea to outright offend the male population of this country. And that’s exactly what Michelle did in Michigan on Saturday.

"Here’s a clip, in case you haven’t seen it. This might be the least charismatic political speech, with the possible exception of the ones Hillary Clinton has given over the past 20 years, of all time. It’s actively repellent to half the population.

"So Kamala Harris is losing this election because of racism and sexism. America “isn’t ready” to elect a candidate who slept her way to the middle and DEI’ed her way to the top, because America has identity-politics hangups.

"Obama said that “Kamala Harris is an extraordinary human being, she is an extraordinary candidate, and she will be an extraordinary president of the United States of America.” No one believes this.

"Kamala Harris put parents in jail because their kids were truant from school. A couple of those parents were put in jail because of paperwork errors by the school districts that failed to take account of their kids being hospitalized. Harris boasted that she drafted prosecutors who normally worked homicide cases to jail the parents of kids who played hooky. And she said it needed to be done because the school districts were losing money.

"But if any of those parents decided they wanted a sex change, Harris would have made sure to give them one at taxpayer expense." . . .

Kamala would force America’s healers to be angels of death

"These healers and comforters deserve and need to remain authentic “Conscientious Objectors” for the sake of the sick and dying. Don’t force them to become “Angels of Death.' ”

The Harris campaign has apparently given up one men and gone "girl" all the way. Let's take a look at this story from Andrew Stiles: . . .

Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Barbie: Harris campaign embraces ‘girl culture’

. . ."In every presidential election since 1980, more eligible female voters have cast their ballots than men. So far, early voting in three of the battleground states that provide a breakdown based on gender — Georgia, Michigan and North Carolina — show more women then men have voted." . . .

Stop Everything and Watch the Most Powerful Trump Ad You've Ever Seen

https://www.terrellaftermath.com/

Stop Everything and Watch the Most Powerful Trump Ad You've Ever Seen   "It was after church, and we were at our local Mexican restaurant sipping Victorias, indulging in some carne asada, and waiting for the NFL game to come back on the big screen when our attention became riveted by a commercial of a kind we'd never seen before.

"I love a good commercial. That's why I usually watch the "big game" in February. It is far more difficult to fit a clever and compelling message into a compacted moment than to make a documentary. Any writer can tell you that writing shorter pieces is more difficult than longer ones. Every time.

"But the message of this two-minute-long commercial, "Never Quit," was that Donald Trump will never quit trying to make America great again. This commercial demands the viewer give it attention, realize what he's watching, and understand the message.

"The well-compacted message comprised unforgettable images, large movie blockbuster-like font, and a calm-sounding Donald Trump telling the story of his political life starting at the White House in 2017. It was breathtaking and stirring, even if you don't like the guy." . . .

. . ."So, let's go over Trump's closing argument to America:

  • A three-hour-long free-wheeling, unscripted interview with Joe Rogan.
  • Dropping this commercial on NFL fans shows the former president is as tough as any of these players on the gridiron
  • Filling Madison Square Garden in Blue New York City.
  • "I never quit"
Does not MSNBC and the "ladies" of "The View" seem to be the poorest of a bad lot now?

"Critics even went so far as to accuse the network of “incitement.' ”

The hate distorted faces I will always remember from this election will be those of Joe Biden's three disgusting speeches attacking Donald Trump, Joy Reid, Morning Joe and all the cast of MSNBC, and Hillary. TD

Why the Rabid Hatred?

Mr. Biden, locked in my memory are images of your hate-filled face in speeches at the dark red-lit Freedom Hall in Philadelphia, your State Of The Union "Address", and your DNC speech, all easily taken to be a call for someone to kill Mr. Trump. If indeed that does happen, I hope the images of your hate-filled face will be coupled with that of President Trump's family standing around his grave. The Tunnel Dweller.  From Oct 23.

Rajan Laad

Perhaps it is overconsumption of the propaganda peddled by MSNBC, CNN, NYT, and WaPo [and "The View"]. One would assume she is old enough to not be brainwashed by propaganda. But age is no guarantee of wisdom.

. . ."However, there is also another category of individuals whose rage against Trump has a reason.

"These are establishment figures or swamp dwellers who see Trump as a threat to their monopoly. These are the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, etc. They fear Trump could dismantle the self-serving, self-preserving D.C. Democrat establishment that has enabled them to acquire power and wealth. Trump's defiance also enrages them.

"Most people aspiring for power are desperate for approval from the establishment. They also fear reprisals or attacks from the establishment and their proxies and with good reason. We remember how Biden was ruthlessly dethroned by the establishment.

"Trump, on the other hand, was elected in 2016, despite challenging the establishment.

"Despite being persecuted on many fronts, Trump continues have public support. He is personally unaffected and even mocks them unsparingly and relentlessly. He is likely to be re-elected in November.

"This causes further hatred.

"A common enemy, i.e. President Trump, has caused the baseless haters and the establishment haters to join hands.

"Quite often, experts and even Trump supporters such as Laura Ingraham claim that someone with Trump’s policies, but without Trump personality and 'baggage' will be preferable. They assert that this mythical individual wouldn't receive such hate from the media, the establishment and loons such as the ranting woman.

"Ingraham and others must understand it's not Trump's 'baggage' or personality but his principled defiance and policies that causes hatred from the establishment.

"In fact, the relentless hate from the establishment is proof that Trump is the perfect candidate for the Presidency."

There’s almost nothing that Donald Trump likes better than throwing his adversaries off their game; he likes to be unpredictable, confusing and in charge. It gives him an edge in achieving his goals.   "He's kept his adversaries guessing to the extent that he will pay them back for their lawfare and deep-state machinations, and not surprisingly, they expect the worst. Yet he has said repeatedly that victory in the election will be his revenge. They don't know what to make of it."

Letter from Michigan: “No one I know is voting for Kamala Harris”  (Hat tip to Andrea Widberg) . . . "Here’s a new entry in the American Thinker occasional podcast series.

"This video/podcast discusses a leftist European writer’s accurate—and depressing—take on the state of America under Harris and Biden, the fraud against Israel that’s taking place on Wikipedia, and the wonderful NY Times article that’s meant to dissuade people from supporting Trump but that reads like the perfect Trump campaign promotional material."

Despite Israel's Feckless Allies: The Ordeal and Triumph of Mr. Netanyahu

Victor Davis Hanson   Netanyahu's actions have neutralized more Western adversaries responsible for decades of bloodshed than NATO, the CIA, FBI, or Interpol, combined, yet he’s often met with rebuke rather than gratitude.

Ordeal: "After the October 7 massacres, the obituaries of the long political career of Benjamin Netanyahu, published both in Israel and in the West, became orthodox. He was considered as politically inert as Donald Trump once was after January 6, 2021.

"The conventional wisdom speculated not if, but only when he would be forced out of office.

"Western leaders and the Israeli left, and indeed even the Israeli non-left, as well as American and European pundits, claimed that the laxity of the Netanyahu government was entirely to blame for the grotesque massacre of October 7.

"Indeed, last fall, there arose almost a competition of critics to assert all the ways in which Netanyahu was played by Hamas.

"Accordingly, Netanyahu’s sweeping Supreme Court reforms had supposedly needlessly split the country, demoralizing the military and eroding Israeli deterrence in the eyes of Palestinian terrorists. Or his purported strategy of playing off the more lethal and toxic Hamas against the Palestinian Authority was supposedly proof of his reckless naivete.

"Still, other opponents argued that his 16 years as Israel’s longest-serving prime minister and his age of 75 made him a Joe Biden-like relic of the past, simply too old and too familiar to be any longer effective. He was told it was well past time to step down and let a new generation break out of the old toxic Middle East mindsets.

"And indeed, after October 7, Netanyahu faced a bleak regional and global landscape—analogous to what a 65-year-old Churchill faced in June 1940 when all of Western Europe was in the hands of the Nazis and a lonely Britain was without a single wartime ally—with a sympathetic America still hesitant to commit to ensuring its existence." . . .

Triumph: . . ."And what of Iran itself, the hub to the spokes of such terrorism?

"We were told that it would soon become nuclear and might strike against the proverbial “one-bomb” state. In the mullahs’ eyes, poor Israel was a divine gift to the theocracy of assembling half the world’s Jewry into one easy target.

"Did not Iran export deadly drones and missiles to new staunch allies like Russia and China and develop missiles nearly comparable to any in the West?

"And yet somehow an embattled Netanyahu, shunned by the Biden administration, demonized by the European Union, and smeared and slandered by the UN, saw opportunity where all others saw only doom.

"He understood that the sheer depravity of October 7 gave Israel, at least for a brief window, the moral authority to wage all-out war on its enemies, terrorists whose reputations he sensed were exaggerated, and their leaders’ bloodcurdling threats thus mostly empty." . . .
