Life in the good ole USA

New Cure for Racial Violence in Minneapolis: Crack down on the victims.  "Police in Minneapolis have discovered a new way to fight the wave of black violence and mayhem that is now an every day fact of life in their city: Blame the white victims for drinking too much.

"Why not: Nothing else has worked.

"First, Minneapolis police tried ignoring the problem. But dozens of victims, videos, witnesses, police reports and 911 calls made that impossible.

"Then they tried denying it: A spokesman for Minneapolis police department told me that race has nothing to do with anything involving crime and anyone who thinks differently is a bad person.

"That lasted about as long as it took to go the Minneapolis Police Department web site and see all the special programs for “protected” minorities.

Affirmative Consent as State Law in California   "The law stipulates that the person accused of sexual assault must prove that a clear affirmation of consent was given by the accuser."

Vanderbilt University: Refusal to Approve Constitutions of Student Groups that Require Leaders to Share Beliefs   ... " Despite FIRE’s September 2011 letter to Vanderbilt ... Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos persisted in the discriminatory treatment of belief-based student organizations, stating that membership must be open to everyone, even those who do not share the group’s beliefs and seek to undermine it." ...

But they'll keep trying; University of Minnesota Backs Away from Ideological Screening for Ed Students  ... "Those with the “wrong” views were to receive remedial re-education, be weeded out, or be denied admission altogether. In a letter to FIRE, however, the university’s top lawyer has now promised that the university will never “mandate any particular beliefs, or screen out people with ‘wrong beliefs’ from the University.' ”

Warning Signs

"If President Obama does not want the Ebola virus to kill Americans, why has his administration done nothing to restrict any flights from Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, the hot spots in Africa where it appears the virus is spreading?
"One of the reason flights from Liberia were not stopped, we have been told, was the historical link of the U.S. with that nation, founded as a place freed slaves could migrate. That is no excuse in the face of the threat of a single Liberian with Ebola getting off a flight in any U.S. airport.
 "The decision not to stop flights has nothing to do with health and everything to do with politics, Obama’s far left ideology, and his dislike for America that has been on display for anyone paying any attention. It has driven every decision Obama has made since first taking office." ...

Ruins of the Middle East; Obama shuns our friends and courts our enemies.

Victor Davis Hanson  "Obama’s unfortunate Middle East legacy was predicated on six flawed assumptions:
(1) a special relationship with Turkey;
(2) distancing the U.S. from Israel;
(3) empathy for Islamist governments as exemplified by the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt;
(4) a sort of non-aggression agreement with Iran;
(5) expecting his own multicultural fides to resonate in the region;
(6) pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Let us examine what has followed."...   Full article

Mr. President, it's 3 am; do you know what's happening in the world?

Narrated Ibn ‘Umar:   ...Allah’s Apostle said: “I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah’s Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform that, then they save their lives and property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah.”

Back to the Muslim misinformation machine:
8. Jihad in Islam is defensive war. It is not permissible without the right cause, the right purpose and without the right rules of conduct.
"The verse I posted just above showed that jihad is more than a defensive war. There is also an offensive jihad, as proven in the Reliance of the Traveller. A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law. Which has the stamp of approval of Abd al-Wakil Durubi, Imam of the Mosque of Darwish Pasha Damascus, Syria, Nuh’ Ali Salman, Mufti of the Jordanian Armed Forces, International Institute of Islamic Thought (Having “American” council members), and Egypt’s world renowned Al Azhar University."    Full article here.

The Mellow Jihadi claims: Could terrorists turn themselves into Ebola suicide ‘bombs’? Experts fear ISIS jihadists may infect themselves to spread virus in the West.    "Certain Western government ‘agencies’ operating around African states over the past several months, are fully aware of the Islamic terrorist groups who have been actively seeking Ebola infected clothing for the use of ‘weaponisation’ – this as well as smallpox among other hideous diseases. Which sadly is a FACT!"

British MPs vote an overwhelming ‘Yes’ to Palestine

Times of Israel     "274 support motion urging ‘the government to recognize the State of Palestine,’ while only 12 oppose, in vote laden with symbolism"

The British Parliament votes to recognize a Palestinian state (screen capture)

... "The motion was initiated by backbencher Grahame Morris* from the main opposition Labour party, who said Britain had a “moral responsibility” to act because of its history as colonial power in the region.

"The vote was especially symbolic given that Britain was the mandatory power in Palestine from 1920-1948, when the State of Israel was founded, and that Britain’s Balfour Declaration of 1917 was a significant milestone en route to the revival of Jewish statehood.

"Although it has no binding effect, some of its supporters said they hoped it would place pressure on Israel to change its polices on the Palestinians. " ...

From Comedy to Farce

Victor Davis Hanson
"It was tragically comical that the commander in chief in just a few weeks could go from referring to ISIS as “jayvee” and a manageable problem to declaring it an existential threat, in the same manner he upgraded the Free Syrian Army from amateurs and a fantasy to our ground linchpin in the new air war. All that tragic comedy was a continuance of his previous untruths, such as the assurance that existing health plans and doctors would not change under the Affordable Care Act or that there was not a smidgeon of corruption at the IRS.

"But lately the Obama confusion has descended into the territory not of tragedy or even tragic comedy, but rather of outright farce." ....

"Compared with President Barack Obama, even Jimmy Carter is John McCain. The former president practically synonymous with American weakness and retreat thinks Obama was too slow to act against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and gives his current strategy only “a possibility of success,” provided it involves (unspecified) ground troops.
"When you are too passive for Jimmy Carter, it’s time for some soul-searching in the Situation Room. The late-1970s are calling and want their foreign policy back." ... Read more:

Obama's Vietnam

American Thinker   "Vietnam has long been recognized as a failure caused by political meddling in military operations, coupled with lying by Democrat presidents anxious to protect their image and popularity.
...
"The “grand strategy” of Obama in the Middle East is an indecent flux of poll numbers and sound bites.  It is to react to crises that affect American public opinion until the media and the voters are lulled into thinking that he has done something.  The purpose of American national security policy is to make Barry look good.

"The price for such selfishness is that innocent blood is spilt for ignoble vanities.  Today it is Kurdish blood, but because ISIS is the sort of existential threat to Western values that in time will demand either its defeat or our surrender, inevitably it will be the blood of our best and bravest that will wash away the venality of Obama and his Vietnam." No, Turkey has not given us permission to use their air bases to attack ISIS  ... "What an astounding level of incompetence. When the national security advisor goes on TV and claims something that is demonstrably false, is it because she was misinformed? How can you not know the status of such important negotiations?" ...  Rick Moran

Women in the Combat Arms

Blackfive   "So, the Marine Corps has been running some tests.  I know you've read about the top-line ones, such as women testing at the Infantry Officers' Course.  But it's a much broader effort, and some of the results have begun to be analyzed by independent agencies.

"Now, remember that these are women who have already succeeded in becoming Marines, and have further self-selected by volunteering to be tested as examples of female strength and endurance.  They're the very best, in other words, and deserve a great deal of respect both for achieving the title of Marine and for putting themselves forward in this way.

"So look at the results*, and let's talk about whether this policy is the right one for the US military."

OBAMA FORBIDS FBI TO USE RELIGION IN IDENTIFYING TERROR THREATS, AS ISIS RECRUITS OPENLY IN U.S. MOSQUES!

Karin McQuillan   This post originally ran at the American Thinker (courtesy of the Investigative Project on Terrorism).

... "It is not an exaggeration to say that because of Democrat political correctness hamstringing our FBI agents, they could not combat the Islamists in our midst without Steven Emerson.  Oliver “Buck” Revell, former head of FBI Investigations and Counter-Terrorism, said as much in these words:  “The Investigative Project has been one of the most important sources of accurate and timely information on the real goals and objectives of the wide spread and powerful Islamist movement.”

"The FBI turns to Emerson to find out what is happening.  So does AT.  This is what Emerson told us:" ...
...
"Question for our Congress:  Obama will do nothing to revoke the passports of American ISIS maniacs.  What are you doing about it?"

ISIS Magazine “Dabiq” Justifies Rape And Enslavement of Non-Muslim Women As Following Islamic Tradition

Infidel Bloggers Alliance  "From Tarek Fatah:

"The Islamic State (ISIS) regularly puts out a glossy propaganda magazine aimed at recruiting jihadists from the West. It is sophisticated, slick, beautifully produced and printed in several languages including English. ‘Dabiq’ as it is called, bills itself as “a periodical magazine focusing on the issues of tawhid (unity), manhaj (truth-seeking), hijrah (migration), jihad (holy war) and jama’ah (community). It will also contain photo reports, current events, and informative articles on matters relating to the Islamic State.”

"This is not the beginning, the magazine says. It is the end. It is the culmination of a centuries-long war that has burned and simmered but never been extinguished — that will soon grow to consume everything. It is the apocalypse. And it is coming.

"This is the chilling vision set out in the Islamic State magazine called "Dabiq," (warning contains disturbing images) published in several European languages including English. In a reel of slick graphics and chapters, it frames the war against the Islamic State not as a singular event, but as the continuation of a battle of civilisations.

" 'You will invade the Arabian Peninsula, and Allah will enable you to conquer it," says the second issue of Dabiq, called The Flood. "You will then invade Persia, and Allah will enable you to conquer it. You will then invade Rome, and Allah will enable you to conquer it. Then you will fight the [false messiah], and Allah will enable you to conquer him.' "...  More

What Islam Really Teaches About Allah and Jesus " For nearly two thousand years, Christians have proclaimed Jesus’ death and resurrection. Islam rejects both of these doctrines and offers a different account of what happened at the cross and afterwards. However, the Muslim explanation comes at a tremendous price: Their version of the story portrays God as a horrible deceiver, and Jesus as the most stupendous failure in the history of the prophets. Hence, while Muslims claim that “Allah is Truth”[1] and that Jesus is to be revered as one of Allah’s mightiest prophets, these claims are hollow, for Islamic dogma comes with a great deal of heresy."
...
"Muslims can object to this all they want. They can continue to proclaim their devotion to God and their respect for his prophets. But there’s something strange about the way they explain Christianity. There’s something very odd about a God who leads the world astray. If Islam is true, God and Jesus are failures. But if Christianity is true, God and Jesus were victorious at the cross, for the door to salvation was opened to all, in spite of those who tried to keep the door shut.

"Jesus warned his followers that false prophets would come. He also commanded us not to believe them. One of the ways we can spot false prophets is by carefully discerning when their teachings lead to unacceptable beliefs about God. God is Truth, and he is Love. Islam, when carefully examined, would have us believe otherwise."
