Don Surber: Joy Reid loses half her audience

MSNBC will never fire her, but she may rejoin Al Sharpton on the weekend.

Don Surber: Joy Reid loses half her audience  "Amid BLM-staged riots in 2020, MSNBC gave their weekend black racist anchor Joy Reid a prime time show on weekdays. Her blame-whitey rants were an instant hit. She drew 2.6 million viewers her first night out, which was a half-million more than the Fox show at 7 PM and double the CNN show.

It has been downhill ever since.

TV News reported a month later, "The ReidOut scored the highest-rated month ever in total viewers for the 7 p.m. hour in MSNBC history, and averaged more total viewers than Erin Burnett Outfront. That said, it finished No. 3 in its hour behind The Story with Martha MacCallum and Outfront in the key A25-54 demo, despite averaging the network’s largest 7 PM. demo delivery since April 2018 (317,000)."

And this month, her ratings are less than half her debut audience.
