Netanyahu to Iranians: Peace Coming ‘Sooner than People Think’

Joel B. Pollak

"Earlier Thursday, Breitbart News reported that elements of the Iranian establishment are considering regime change because of the failure of Iran’s “revolutionary” leadership and its strategy of promoting terrorism and war abroad.

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people in a speech Thursday in which he urged them to rise up against their government, and promised them a future of peace and prosperity when Iran is free.

"The speech, Netanyahu’s third in recent months, came as Israel reportedly considered plans to attack Iran’s nuclear program, which is vulnerable after Israel destroyed almost 90% Syria’s air defenses after the fall of the Assad regime this week.

"Israel also destroyed Iran’s air defenses in an attack in October, which was a response to a massive ballistic missile attack by Iran earlier that month. Iran also attacked Israel with ballistic missiles, drones, and cruise missiles in April.

"The speech was posted Youtube, and a transcript was provided by Israel’s Government Press Office:" . . .

The Left’s Assassination Lust Is Misdirected

 Issues & Insights

“The ‘private’ insurance sector is distorted by endless government regulations and interventions,” says our friend Steven Hayward in his Power Line Daily Chart. “Second, the dirty secret of health policy since the failure of Hillarycare in 1994 is that the government demands that private health insurance systems do cost containment, so that they, and not the government, will take the heat.”

"The hero worship for Luigi Mangione, the accused executioner of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson, is appalling to reasonable people. We understand, though, that on occasion Americans can have a legitimate grievance with their health insurance coverage. But the guilty parties are not corporate insurance executives. The culpable are the lawmakers and regulators in Washington who have hijacked the country’s health care industry.

"Mangione, arrested Monday in Pennsylvania on fake ID and firearms charges, justified the slaying of health care insurance executives, which sent many on the left into spasms of delight.

“ 'These parasites had it coming,” the new folk hero for elitists wrote in his manifesto. Sadly, Mangione, a son of privilege who favors the crumbling British government’s National Health Service, is not alone in his blind hatred for health insurance executives.

"Former Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz, who has been publicly demonstrating her tenuous grip of reality and decency for years, has been a leader among the aggrieved. “And people wonder why we want these executives dead,” she posted on Bluesky only hours after Thompson was gunned down.

"Then on Monday night on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” she said that, “along with so many other Americans,” she felt “joy, unfortunately,” at the news of Thompson’s death. She quickly tried to backtrack when she realized how malicious and deranged she sounded. But out of the abundance – or maybe the emptiness – of her heart, her mouth spoke.

"On Tuesday, we noted that The Hill was reporting that “social media users have sometimes outright gloated at the killing.” Apparently it’s an acceptable expression of “populist rage.” Later in the day, the execrable Jimmy Kimmel read exchanges among his staff which demonstrated that his crew desperately needs help."

"One asked if “you guys think the UnitedHealthcare CEO killer is hot?” Another said “everyone is obsessed” with Ivy Leaguer Mangione and seemed happy to report that people “are saying a NY jury has the power to find him innocent.” Other zany comments included “we all love him,” “I’m not mad at him” and “I would visit him in prison, and bake him cookies maybe.” . . .

Tactics, Techniques and Procedures to Keep Deep State Bureaucrats From Obstructing Donald Trump’s Agenda

Kurt Schlichter, Townhall

"If we’re serious about draining the swamp, we must play smart against the bureaucrats. They will be turning all their evil cunning against us, so our people must demand change and enforce our will. Anything less is accepting failure, and we’ve accepted failure for long enough."

"Donald Trump must move hard and fast to get his agenda enacted. He’s going to be opposed not only by the bureaucrats of the Deep State but by, to some extent, the courts, congressional Democrats, and soft Republicans. Fortunately, President Trump, as chief executive – the unitary executive – has tremendous authority. He and his appointees, as well as Republicans in Congress, must use it. They will feel considerable pressure to be soft and weak, not only from the regime media but from the spineless establishmentarians. They must reject it, and fully exercise the power the American people have granted them.

"There are practical limitations to Donald Trump’s soon-to-be-recovered power. He will have to fight the regime media every step of the way, and it will gleefully lie about him and attempt to intimidate members of his administration to compel obedience. Everything he does will be challenged in the courts, and while we have more favorable judges than we used to, the problem with alleged judicial conservatives is sometimes they tolerate the libs. When it comes to prosecution, there are some venues – like Washington DC – where you can’t convict a Democrat, and that will allow them not to answer for their crimes. There are legal considerations. Some laws are crystal clear and limit what he can do, while other laws are ambiguous, meaning he can push the outside of the envelope. And it’s going to be tough making new laws. The filibuster remains a thing – the Republicans will not do what the Democrats promise to do and get rid of it for him to ram through his agenda. Whether that’s a good idea or not is a moot point. We must fight the battle on the battlefield where we’ve landed.

"At the threshold, the Trump administration and its congressional allies must understand what they are up against – a bunch of people who are absolutely determined to maintain the failed status quo. As someone with military command, executive officer, and staff experience – as well as 30 years of being a lawyer – I’ve learned a few tricks of the trade for getting stuff done in the face of institutional opposition." . . .

The art of the smear campaign that started with Robert Bork.

"The fact here is that the critics have no credibility precisely because they have kept going the Borking route repeatedly over the years. Robert Bork first, later Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh, then Bush 41 Vice President Dan Quayle, and so on — and on and on." . . .

The Borking of Pete Hegseth  "It all began with Robert Bork.

"Nominated for the United States Supreme Court by President Reagan in 1987, Bork was superbly qualified for the job. In his career, he had been a professor at Yale Law School, solicitor general of the United States, acting attorney general, and then served as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He was enormously respected by his legal peers.

"And then.

"Bork would later write this of what happened after his nomination was announced:

During all of this time there was the incessant barrage of negative advertising, media coverage, a daily flood of mail, and constant telephone calls. The media varied, of course, but the reporting in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the three network news programs was almost unrelievedly hostile, as, of course, were the advertisements. The campaign was having its effect.

"Indeed the “Get Bork” campaign did in fact have a major effect. What was not foreseen on the day was that the campaign against Bork would, in fact, set the pattern for campaigns against not only future Republican nominees for the Court but for Cabinet positions as well.

"Court nominees Clarence Thomas and, later, Brett Kavanaugh were targeted for what had become known as “Borking” — virulent media campaigns designed to smear and defeat the nominee of the moment.

"This time the target in this latest “Borking” campaign is President-elect Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth.

"Any rational person would be impressed with Hegseth’s background. He received his bachelor’s degree in politics from Princeton University, then went on to earn his Master of Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He signed up for the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps while at Princeton, and while working as an equity analyst at Bear Stearns was a commissioned officer in the Minnesota National Guard." . . .

DOGE Asks Twitter for Examples of Government Waste and WHOA, NELLIE Do People Have Some Ideas

Twitchy

"If the power of American small businesses is unleashed by taking the government off their backs, there's almost no limit to the economic boom that could result." . . .

"It's no secret that one of the most exciting aspects of the incoming Trump administration is going to be what Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovers and, hopefully, fixes. In reducing regulations, waste, and other useless expenditures of the federal government, there is the potential to save American taxpayers not millions, not billions, but possibly trillions of dollars.

"Even better, Musk and Ramaswamy have promised transparency in their 18-month program, creating an official DOGE account on Twitter where Americans can both see and interact with their work.

"Imagine an agency that doesn't try to hide everything it is doing from the people. Crazy times.

"Early this morning, the DOGE account put proof to the promise that it wants to hear from the American people by tweeting a call for recommendations of some of the worst and most wasteful government programs." . . .  "There were plenty of more creative ideas as well."

Biden Just Let All of Hunter's Friends Out of Jail UPDATED

PJ Media

Because the Biden administration doesn't operate with an America First mindset, there was no release secured for any of the hostages being held by Hamas in exchange for the commuted sentence of the terrorist.

. . "People have spent a lot of time this last month wondering what Joe Biden was up to and whether he was attending to any of his presidential duties at all. Not that the old boy had been extraordinarily present in the months leading up to the election, mind you, but he seemed extra AWOL after it.

"Well, President LOLEightyonemillion got back to work this week, and we're all probably going to end up wishing he hadn't.

"The pardon of his son Hunter was only a soft opening act for Biden, who really got his pen busy in the last several days. This is from something that Rick wrote yesterday

The White House announced on Wednesday that Biden has pardoned 39 "non-violent" prisoners and commuted the sentences of 1,500 others. The White House says it's the largest grant of clemency in U.S. history.

"That's a whole lot of sudden extra chow in prison cafeterias all over the land. It's almost as if Democrats have an affinity for people who break the law. As Rick goes on to say, this is an "abuse" of the president's power to grant clemency. He seems to want to leave a lot of scorched earth and burned bridges behind him on his way out of the White House door.

"Somebody wants him to, anyway. Biden is cranky and vindictive, but the people who have been running his brain for the last four years have their downright evil moments. They're the ones who drew up the list for Biden's clemency frenzy. There were bound to be some unsavory characters on it." . . .

Joe Biden Considers A Scorched Earth Policy On His Way Out The Door ..."The man is an inveterate liar. He lies about important things and trivial. He lied about riding the train, the death of his grandfather, and being shot at in Iraq. He lied about the truck driver who killed his wife and daughter in 1972, claiming that the man had been drunk despite police records of the time showing no such thing. He cheated in college, lied about his standing at graduation in law school, and, fatally for his 1988 presidential run, plagiarized Neil Kinnock, a British politician.

"If there is a legacy to Joe Biden pre-Barack Obama, it is his destruction of the confirmation process for the Supreme Court. For most of our history up until that point in 1987, Supreme Court nominations were largely collegial processes that focused mainly on the candidate’s knowledge of the law and their qualifications for sitting on the bench. Joe Biden and fellow liberal urchin Teddy Kennedy savaged Bork for his conservative views and, as the New York Times suggested, the Bork nomination “in some ways, was the beginning of the end of civil discourse in politics.”

Biden Releases CCP Spies, Pedo as J6ers, Miles Guo, and Pro-Lifers Still in Jail  "While peaceful American citizens and a prominent anti-CCP Chinese dissident rot in American jails, Joe Biden is granting clemency to Chinese nationals jailed for espionage, spying, and child pornography, much to the glee of America’s number one enemy, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

"That laundered Chinese money to Joe Biden and his family is once again paying dividends, as the CCP celebrated a deal where the release of several U.S. citizens from China is being rewarded by the exchange of several dangerous criminals." . . .  Sadly, the bulk of this article is behind a pay wall. Biden commutes sentence of man who watched infant rape videos because he is a CCP asset   "Just remember, in Joe Biden’s America, “no one is above the law” unless…you’re the president’s son, you participated in weaponized committees to target Trump supporters and destroyed the evidence of your actions, you committed treason or participated in crimes against humanity but vote Democrat, you burn down and vandalize pregnancy resource centers, or you’re an extensive viewer of child pornography (including infant rape) and important to the Chinese Communist Party." . . .

UPDATE:  Biden Commutes Sentence of Illinois Official Who Embezzled $53M from Small Town  . . ."Crundwell was the comptroller for the town of Dixon, Illinois, famed as the boyhood home of Ronald Reagan. But investigators eventually discovered that for more than 20 years she had been funneling millions of dollars a year of city funding into her personal accounts to fund her luxurious lifestyle and businesses.

"Li Arellano, a Republican who took the mayor’s office after the Crundwell conviction and who ran for office to clean up the mess she left, insisted that Biden just showed that “crime pays.' ”

UPDATE: Biden commutes sentence of disgraced PA judge who sent kids to jail for $2.1 MILLION in kickbacks   . . ."In his statement released by the White House, Biden announced that the nearly 1,500 commutations he granted to Americans was the highest ever in one day. According to the statement, those on the list have been completing their sentences under the COVID-era CARES Act at home for a minimum of a year. He emphasized his belief that the US is "a nation of second chances" and stated that they have "shown their commitment to rehabilitation." A Chinese national convicted of possessing more than 47,000 files of child pornography also received a commutation."
