Another Story the ObamaMedia Largely Ignores

Neal Boortz   "You’re going to have to go to a recognized conservative newspaper of cable television network to hear about this one.   It’s a voter suppression story the left loves – and if the left loves it, you probably aren’t going to hear about it. Oh … to be sure .. the ObamaMedia will have kittens if someone tries to make sure that people in this country who cast votes are legally entitled to cast those votes … THAT the media will eagerly cite as evidence of voter suppression.  The REAL voter suppression is going on right now on military bases around this country and around the world.  It’s the military vote that’s being suppressed.  It’s a plain, clear and obvious as it can be.  The Obama Administration does not want our men and women in the military to vote --- or to have their votes counted.  Simple as that."
....
"Polls show that some 66 percent of active-duty military personnel intend to vote for Romney.  Only about 26 percent say they will vote for Obama.  It gets even more damaging when you look at the reasons for these votes.  No … the military’s support of Romney is not based on issues of national security.  The two top reasons given by these soldiers are the economy and the character of the candidates."

Biden Complains People 'Can Barely Pay To Fill Their Gas Tank' - Back In '08 Debate

CNS News  via Drudge; Quoting the emminently trusted Joe Biden: “I was recently at my local gas station and asked a guy named Joey Danco. I said, ‘Joey, how much did it cost to fill your tank?’ You know what his answer was? He said, ‘I don't know, Joe. I never have enough money to do it.’”
At the time (Oct. 2008), the average cost of a gallon of regular was $3.17 – and only $1.93/gallon when Obama took office in January of 2009 – according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
"Today, AAA estimates that a gallon of regular costs about $3.82 (Oct. 9), while the latest BLS report says it cost $3.71/gallon in August."

A man pumps gas in California
Though most people probably don’t even know who John Hofmeister is, federal politicians know very well who he is and are finding out that he is royally-angered about the current gasoline prices throughout the United States... He has been going public in the recent past via various television and radio interviews in which he is bluntly telling how he warned President Barack Obama... that the current gas prices – Americans are now subjected to – could have been totally avoided if the Obama administration only would have given his experienced-knowledge a chance.

That empty chair just won't go away, will it?

Father of fallen Marine upset by president's letter

Father of fallen Marine upset by president's letter
"Local 2 Investigates examined two other letters sent by Obama to families of soldiers killed in action. The one-page typed condolence letters were identical other than names, ranks and service branches. ...."Different presidents have approached the task in ways that are unique with their personalities and their priorities," University of Houston Professor and Historian Nancy Beck Young said.Young examined the letter written to Tom Logan, which arrived by UPS truck four months after his son's death."I would agree, this is a personal sacrifice and an impersonal condolence," Young said.Young said that it appears Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush, wrote more personal, individualized, sometimes hand-written notes to the families of soldiers.
Obama Honored Fallen SEALs By Sending Their Parents a Form Letter Signed By Electric Pen   "It was signed by an electric pen.  That’s not all.
Karen Vaughn reached out to the parents of the other SEALs killed in that crash.
Their letters were all the same.
Form letters – signed by an electric pen.
Report: Bush Spent Hundreds of Hours Comforting Families of Fallen Soldiers  "According to The Washington Times, the self-described "comforter in chief" said it's his duty as president to try to help as "best as I humanly can a loved one who is in anguish."
"The Times notes that people familiar with Bush's routine say he has written letters personally to every one of the families of the more than 4,000 troops who have died in Afghanistan and Iraq. The task has taken a toll, and Bush has relied on his wife, Laura, for emotional support, he said."

This 2003 Democratic Underground post sees things differently, as they still choose to do today. Naturally the source this post refers to is, wait for it...MSNBC.

Big Bird gets his feathers ruffled over Obama’s new attack ad   "Barack Obama is using Big Bird in his latest attack ad against Romney, but it looks like the big yellow bird got his feathers a little bit ruffled for being used in such a petty way! According to Breitbart, Sesame Street is revolting and tells Obama to take down the ad!"

Charles Krauthammer, Kirsten Powers rip ‘trivial,’ ‘out of touch’ Obama Big Bird ad
On Tuesday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer said that the Obama campaign’s “Big Bird” commercial is so bad that it will actually hurt President Barack Obama in November. “I hope they run it until the end of time,” Krauthammer said. “This could be the worst ad I’ve ever seen.”
....“It’s a truly terrible ad,” Powers said. “When you watch it, it’s sort of shocking that they’re doing this, and it suggests a campaign that’s completely out of touch with what’s going on right now, not just because it’s trivial and there are serious things going on, but also because it’s just this out of nowhere messaging. What does Wall Street have to do with anything? That’s not what anybody is talking about. You know, and suddenly now, in trying to suggest that Mitt Romney is somehow like Bernie Madoff? I mean, I have a very low bar in terms of my expectations of politicians. But this is, this is especially low.”
I respect and trust Kirsten Powers enormously. She is a liberal, but truly even-handed in her opinions and can be brutally frank when discussing Democrats. She is far superior to the political hack that Alan Colmes is.

The House and Senate races are important too

Diane Sori   "This is of major importance because on the outside chance that Barack HUSSEIN Obama manages to usurp the office of the presidency again, if we control the House and the Senate he is rendered for all intents and purposes...impotent.  And that’s crucial because we now have three Supreme Court Justices that could retire over the next year, and if Obama is re-elected president the Court would then indisputably become under liberal control, and that will signal a very dangerous precedent for us all.

"Therefore, we cannot turn a blind eye to the House and Senate races because any Supreme Court appointments must be confirmed by Congress, and we need good conservative representatives to uphold strong conservative values and ideals NOT liberals who function with a free for all mentality and will push through whomever Obama wants."

Godfather Politics long ago corroborated this critical fact  Thus he main reason that an incredibly stupid act by a Republican candidate can change the course of history.
"The current status of the US Supreme Court is a narrow 5 – 4 conservative slant.  "There are at least two justices that may well be retiring during the next several years.  Having a GOP controlled Senate should insure their replacements with conservative judges by blocking any liberal appointees.  Since the Supreme Court has taken on the role of redefining the US Constitution, and deciding what is and is not constitutional, the makeup of the court is extremely important."
Lets hope this is a genuine poll and not one skewed to help warn Democrats to get  more serious.

Thomas Sowell – Race Riots If Obama Loses

WESTERN JOURNALISM   "KABC talk show host Larry Elder interviews one of America’s greatest living thinkers, Thomas Sowell, who predicts race riots if Obama loses."
Main message: Not only must Romney win but both houses of Congress must be Republican, or the win will be for naught.

Alan Caruba; Can Obama's Foreign Policies Suck Any Worse?

Warning Signs  "There’s an independent watchdog organization called Freedom House that performs a valuable service by surveying the nations of the world to identify those where freedom is still struggling to emerge. In its recent report, “Countries at the Crossroads 2012” it spells out where the trouble spots are and, without intending to, it is also a global map of Obama’s pathetic foreign affairs policies."
....
"I have never lived in an America that was not a world leader and, following WWII, a superpower. For more than four decades the U.S. faced off against the former Soviet Union until its collapse. The U.S. Navy has kept the sea lanes of the world open. The U.S. has gone to war when it was deemed the only option. "Obama has been the first President since George Washington to assert that “any world order that elevates one nation or group over another will inevitably fail.” A world that looks to the U.S. for leadership has witnessed the failure of Obama’s foreign policy."  (U.S. SOLDIERS URGED NOT TO SHOOT TALIBAN AT NIGHT SO LOCALS CAN SLEEP)

Obama’s foreign initiatives have been failures   ...."In his first year Obama dispatched two letters to Khamenei while keeping his distance from the revolutionary Green movement. He shook hands with Hugo Chavez. He launched a “reset” of relations with Russia’s Vladimir Putin and dispatched envoys to reason with Bashar al-Assad in Damascus. He delivered a sweeping address to the Muslim world from Cairo.

"The results have been meager. Khamenei spurned the U.S. outreach. Relations with Putin warmed for a time but now have grown cold again. In Egypt and across the Middle East, the president’s popularity is lower today than when he gave the Cairo address."....

Related, if you think about it: Fr. George Welzbacher; Are we witnessing the establishment of a “state religion”?
"It would seem that, for the first time in the history of our republic, we are witnessing here in the U.S.A. the establishment of a state religion, a religion so crafted as to delight the heart of a secularist, a religion with clearly defined dogmas, compliance with whose demands is to be enforced with all of the coercive powers at the disposal of the federal government. Here are the dogmas of this new faith."...Read more...
