Harvard Prof Testifies Fallout of Manning Leak Damaged Wikileaks Image

Legal Insurrection "A Harvard law professor testified Wednesday in the court martial of Bradley Manning that the Army private’s leak of hundreds of thousands of classified materials changed how Wikileaks was viewed by government and media outlets."
....
"But former media partners of Wikileaks that were instrumental in publishing selective portions of those materials later abandoned Julian Assange and his organization over his handling of the information leaked by Manning.

"In 2011, against the warnings of collaborative media outlets, Wikileaks published over 1,000 of the US State Department cables that contained the names of individual activists who had been sources for the US government, placing those individuals in potential danger and chilling the environment for future leakers and whistleblowers."

This Year's Duke Lacrosse Case

Ann Coulter  "This week, instead of attacking a Hispanic senator, Marco Rubio, I will defend a Hispanic citizen, George Zimmerman, on trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin. (Zimmerman would make a better senator.)

"It's becoming painfully obvious why no charges were brought against Zimmerman in this case -- until Al Sharpton got involved. All the eyewitness accounts, testimony, ballistics and forensics keep backing up Zimmerman. We should send a big, fat bill for the whole thing to Sharpton, courtesy of MSNBC."

"Sharpton asked Mark O’Mara about information released by the defense about Martin last week, about voice experts who have said the screams for help on the 911 calls on the night of the February 2012 shooting were not Zimmerman’s voice, and whether Sanford, Florida police erred in not initially arresting Zimmerman.
"Watch the segment above, and watch Sharpton’s reflections on the interview below:"

Documents Obtained by Judicial Watch Detail Role of Justice Department in Organizing Trayvon Martin Protests

Judicial Watch  "Judicial Watch announced today that has obtained documents in response to local, state, and federal records requests revealing that a little-known unit of the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Community Relations Service (CRS), was deployed to Sanford, FL, following the Trayvon Martin shooting to help organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman.
....
According to the documents:....
....
“These documents detail the extraordinary intervention by the Justice Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George Zimmerman,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “My guess is that most Americans would rightly object to taxpayers paying government employees to help organize racially-charged demonstrations.”

Alan Caruba: When is a Law, Not a Law? When Obama Says So

Warning Signs  "Obamacare has been showing signs of being so unenforceable, so expensive, and so utterly stupid that Obama’s administration has had to engage in all manner of patently illegal waivers and delays to maintain theirs lies about it.

"In the words of the late Chinese Communist dictator, Mao Zedong, Obamacare has been “a great leap forward” to reform healthcare in America. In China, the Great Leap killed an estimated forty million people between 1958 and 1961. There is no way of knowing how many Obamacare would kill when (and if) it is fully implemented."

The Lost Meaning of Independence Day

Bruce Thornton   "Bound up in this idea of freedom, however, was its dependence on the virtues citizens had to possess in order to use this freedom responsibly and for the proper aims. For freedom was not th century called license, a selfish indulgence that cares nothing for the state as a whole either now or in the future. To act on whatever appetites and passions arise in one is to enslave the soul to them and subject the self and the state to their destructive effects. As Russell Kirk wrote, “The worst enemies of enduring freedom for all may be certain folk who demand incessantly more liberty for themselves.” "

MSM protecting Hillary from scandal taint

Thomas Lifson  "A former member of then- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's protective detail has been sentenced to a year in prison, extending the strong of scandals that have engulfed the agency since Mrs. Clinton's tenure began.  The diplomat had faced a possible 7 year term, but pleaded guilty, sparing the expense and delay of a trial and perhaps shortening his sentence.  AP reports:
....
"In order to maintain the media-generated illusion that Mrs. Clinton was an excellent SecState, as if miles flown on a private 757 were an index of effectiveness, the media are for the most part ignoring the burst of scandal uncovered in her wake. Rainsberger's sentence, for instance, merited an AP dispatch, but it does not appear to have been widely picked up, despite the fact that it closely follows news of another similar scandal."

Acquitting Zimmerman

NRO  "The question is no longer whether or not George Zimmerman will be convicted of murdering Trayvon Martin, the question is what will happen after he is acquitted."

Mona Charen; When it comes to killing, only some racial recipes are newsworthy.    " If the victim is white and the killer is black, it’s not interesting (unless the killer is a celebrity). If the victims are both white, it’s only interesting if the victim or the murderer is a comely blond female (preferably a nymphomaniac). If the victim and killer are both black, it’s a yawn. If the victim is black and the killer is white — make way for sweeps week!"

Weiner, Spitzer, Clinton: life is good if you're a Democrat

Eliot Spitzer: I did not control my ‘urges’   "“It’s an exploitive industry, yes,” Spitzer said, after saying he didn’t know if the women he personally paid for sex were exploited.
"Spitzer went on to say that as governor, he pushed for human trafficking legislation to protect women from exploitation, and he acknowledged there was a “tension” that was “problematic” between his stated position on prostitution and his personal actions. He also said the exploitation was why he doesn’t believe prostitution should be decriminalized

'Women for Anthony' hosts event  "The host list, featuring a number of high-powered women who were Clinton backers, makes clear what a number of media outlets have reported — that Abedin is a central figure in her husband’s campaign."

“FATWA THIS!” Bob Beckel of The Five says U.S. needs to stop building mosques until we figure out who the terrorists are…

The Right Scoop "Bob Beckel is turning into a regular surprise. In a segment on Boko Haram burning school children alive over the weekend in Nigeria, Beckel called Muslim clerics everywhere cowards for not speaking out against such horrors and said America needs to stop building mosques until we can determine who the terrorist really are."

Here Beckel calls for stopping Muslim student visas till the terror issue is cleared up:

Former MSNBC Producer Says MSNBC Lies For Obama/ Character assassination of those who oppose Obama

"Oh and here’s the gravy, the story was published at the Huffington Post…
How Do You Know When President Obama Is Lying? MSNBC Won’t Tell You
MSNBC has usually reacted to expanded militarism and surveillance by downplaying the abuses or defending them.
Had McCain or Romney defeated Obama and implemented the exact same policies, treating whistleblowers like Manning and Snowden as foreign espionage agents, one would expect MSNBC hosts to be loudly denouncing the Republican abuses of authority.

I absolutely believe that." "  More...
