An Election Without a Mandate

 Anders Koskinen

"Washington Post columnist Paul Waldman somehow contorted the mixed, and yet unresolved, 2020 election results to simultaneously claim that mandates do not really exist, but that Joe Biden nonetheless has one.

"It is important to refute this spurious claim because Biden and Kamala Harris will use any excuse they can to push a laundry list of progressive legislation and executive branch rulemaking. Americans should not allow this, especially under such a false pretense.

"In the first part of his article, Waldman claims that mandates are mostly an artificial political construct. He may be correct in this assessment, but then he states that Republicans “know that if you act like you have a mandate, then you do.” It is far more accurate to make this phrase conditional. Two things are necessary to have a mandate: the votes to push your agenda through and the political will to do so.

"The Washington Post column then lapses into a series of ill-founded assumptions and statistical half-truths seeking to provide a data-driven justification for a Biden mandate, thus marching the opposite direction of the notion that acting like you have a mandate delivers it to you.

"Firstly, there is the claim that Biden won “despite the extraordinary voter suppression effort” of Republicans. Waldman’s own publication contradicts this claim of voter suppression, reporting that the 2020 election saw at least a 63 percent turnout, a rate not seen since the 1960s. The counting process is ongoing, but if the Post is right in its estimate that final vote totals will eclipse a 66 percent turnout rate, this may end up being the election with the highest participation rate in living memory.

"Such a high turnout is a function of the COVID-19 pandemic, combined with the fact that progressive and liberal causes achieved nearly everything they wanted in terms of extended early voting periods and lower-security mail-in ballot efforts. A projected 161 million Americans voted in the 2020 presidential election, 23 million more than in 2016. Really it makes far more sense to argue that Biden won because of changes to election laws this year than it does to say he won in spite of them." . . .

Beijing Sends Biden a Warning

  Patrick J. Buchanan

"Because of Donald Trump, Vice President Joe Biden thundered during the campaign, the U.S. "is more isolated in the world than we've ever been ... America First has made America alone." Biden promised to repair relations with America's allies. And he appears to have gone some distance to do so in the congratulatory phone call he received from Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga of Japan.

"According to Suga, during the brief call, Biden said Article V of the U.S.-Japan Mutual Security Treaty of 1960 covers the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea, islands Japan controls but China claims as its own. "President-elect Biden gave me a commitment that Article 5 of the US-Japan security treaty applies to the Senkaku Islands," said a delighted Suga. And what does Article V commit us to?

" 'Each Party recognizes that an armed attack against either Party in the territories under the administration of Japan would be dangerous to its own peace and safety and declares that it would act to meet the common danger..."

"Message: The U.S. will treat a Chinese attempt to take the Senkakus, tiny rocky outcroppings in the East China Sea, as an attack on the USA, and America will fight China to secure Japan's right to keep the islands. Biden has removed any ambiguity that may have existed and given Tokyo a U.S. war guarantee that covers the Senkakus. The response of China's foreign ministry was to angrily lay claim to the islands they call the Diaoyus as "inherently Chinese" and to dismiss the U.S.-Japan security treaty as a "product of the Cold War."

"This diplomatic clash comes as Henry Kissinger was warning the Bloomberg Economic Forum: "America and China are now drifting increasingly toward confrontation, and they're conducting their diplomacy in a confrontational way. ... The danger is that some crisis will occur that will go beyond rhetoric into actual military conflict." Kissinger continued: "Unless there is some basis for some cooperative action, the world will slide into a catastrophe comparable to World War I." World War I was the worst calamity in Western civilization – until the next war to which it led inexorably: World War II.

"Last week, we also learned that during Chinese military exercises in August, the People's Liberation Army fired two missiles thousands of kilometers from the mainland that struck a targeted merchant ship sailing in the South China Sea. The missiles were the DF-21D and DF-26B. Both missiles are known as "aircraft carrier killers."

"The U.S. routinely moves its carriers through these waters to underscore our contention that neither the South China Sea nor the Paracel and Spratly Islands within belong to China as Beijing claims." . . .

Megyn Kelly Pulls Her Kids Out of NYC Schools Over Left-Wing Political Indoctrination

 Legal Insurrection

“It’s so out of control on so many levels, and after years of resisting it, we’re going to leave the city”

"Former FOX News host Megyn Kelly recently revealed on her podcast that she has pulled two of her children out of their private New York City school over what she sees as political propaganda. She even says she is leaving the city.

"The document she describes, and claims was circulated to parents and school staff, is the same sort of social justice rhetoric we regularly document in higher education.

"Michael W. Chapman writes at CNS News:

Megyn Kelly Pulls Kids From NYC School, Says Radical Left Racial Ideas Being Promoted

Former NBC and FNC lead correspondent Megyn Kelly, who now hosts the Megyn Kelly Show podcast, said she pulled her two sons from their school in New York City because the school leaders are promoting radical racial ideas that apparently posit that white children are racist and need to be “reformed.”

“It’s so out of control on so many levels, and after years of resisting it, we’re going to leave the city,” Kelly said on her Nov. 16 podcast. “We pulled our boys from their school, and our daughter is going to be leaving hers soon, too. The schools have always been far left, which doesn’t align with my own ideology, but I didn’t really care. Most of my friends are liberals; it’s fine. I come from Democrats as a family.”

Kelly then explained that administrators at her sons’ school — which she did not name — were promoting an article to the faculty by Nahliah Webber, executive director of the Orleans Public Education Network. In the article, Webber promotes myriad racist ideas about “white children” who grow up to snuff out “Black life.”…

She continued, “White children are left unchecked and unbothered in their schools, homes and communities to join, advance and protect systems that take away Black life. … I’m tired of White people reveling in their state-sanctioned depravity, snuffing out Black life with no consequences….”

US Army seizes Dominion servers in Germany, Trump lawyer vows, ‘I’m going to release the Kraken’

US Army seizes Dominion servers in Germany, Trump lawyer vows, ‘I’m going to release the Kraken’   /in

"The evidence for massive voter fraud continues to pile up, and these two new developments could break the whole thing wide open. The Dominion servers may reveal just how extensive the fraud was — they could be the gamechanger. And Trump lawyer Sidney Powell says it’s “irrefutable” that Trump won in a landslide. The media’s desperate attempts to discredit all claims of fraud, dismissing them with hasty and shoddy rationalizations, and to shut down all discussion of the matter shows how close the Trump team is to exposing the entire massive enterprise. Freedom, and the future of the nation itself, hang in the balance.

. . .  “‘I’m Going to Release the Kraken.’ Trump Attorney Declares War on Voter Fraud,” Todd Starnes, November 13, 2020:

This is a must-watch interview between Lou Dobbs and Sidney Powell, a member of the Trump legal team.

The allegations of voter fraud in the presidential election are staggering, folks.

“President Trump won this election in a landslide,” Powell said. “It’s irrefutable.”

There needs to be a massive criminal investigation and it’s going to affect millions of voters, she said.

“I’m going to release the Kraken,” she declared. “It is indeed a very foul mess. It is farther and wider and deeper than we ever thought. But we are going to after it and I am going to expose every one of them.”…

What Does Sidney Powell Mean by Release The Kraken?  "Release The Kraken phrase simply means revealing the dark truth, or revealing the big dark secret. Kraken is a legendary cephalopod-like sea monster of a gigantic size that terrorizes nearby sailors and believes to be strong and capable of destroying heavy and strong things like Boats and Ships. (Source: What is Kraken? Michael Flynn's lawyer Sidney Powell threatens to 'release the Kraken' against Dominion vote fraud) So, if someone saying they are going to Release The Kraken, then that means they are going to reveal some wrong-doing of someone which is making a huge impact. For example:-

  • OMG, she is with another man and still, her husband doesn’t know about it. I think I should Release The Kraken.
  • He is playing a double game. We should Release The Kraken and show his real face to everyone.
  • There are lots of voter fraud conspiracy theories these days. But why don’t they Release The Kraken if what they are saying is true?  . . .
What is Kraken? Michael Flynn's lawyer Sidney Powell threatens to 'release the Kraken' against Dominion vote fraud    "In modern terms, the phrase 'release the Kraken' also means to kick someone's a** or to take a dump, is that what Michael Flynn's attorney meant?"

Los Angeles Area Sheriffs Refuse to Enforce Gov. Newsom’s Ridiculous Coronavirus Curfew

 RedState

"Well, that didn’t take long.

"Less than a week after the Sacramento County Sheriff announced that his office would not be enforcing California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s COVID curfew, more departments followed suit. In fact, most law enforcement agencies in southern California have indicated that they have no intention of looking for people violating the curfew.

"Reporter Bill Melugin with Fox’s Los Angeles affiliate, KTTV-11, posted a series of tweets announcing that a slew of sheriff’s offices have told the news outlet they will not enforce Newsom’s orders.

“ 'We’ve now heard from every Sheriff in our SoCal viewing area. San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura, & Riverside Counties will not actively enforce the curfew order. LA Sheriff will take a voluntary compliance/education first approach, will not make any arrests related to order @FOXLA,” he wrote.

"It appears that the only police agencies who will enforce the order are those of Costa Mesa and Irvine. It seems that these Orange County cities don’t mind a little Marxism in their lives. " . . .

..."So far, sheriff’s offices in Sacramento and most of southern California have publicly stated that they will not go along with Newsom’s onerous COVID-19 restrictions. This trend is also occurring in other states like New York.

"Democratic governors have been responsible for some of the worst restrictions under which Americans have had to live since the outbreak began earlier this year. Now, it appears even other government officials have grown weary of the restrictions, which have resulted in severe economic problems. The more people that push back against these mandates, the harder it will be for these governors to intrude in the lives of their citizens. Let’s have more of this, please."

A word with Elise Stefanik, Parts 1 and 2

How the Pink Wave Turned Red

Power Line Blog  . . . "I asked Rep. Stefanik whether singling out women candidates for support was a function of identity politics. She said the depleted ranks of Republican women in Congress did not reflect the party’s support by women voters. She looks for strong conservative Republican women candidates and stays out of races where they are lacking or where the Republican man is the superior candidate to a woman. She thinks that her emphasis on quality represents a recipe for success. “You can look at the proof,” she said, citing the number of seats flipped by outstanding women candidates in targeted races this year.

She gave President Trump “huge credit” for his work in broadening the Republican coalition and energizing voters of all stripes to turn out to vote this year, but pointed “number 1” to the quality of the candidates. She noted their fire in the belly and will to serve. She emphasized the sexist abuse directed at Republican women from the Pelosi PAC and others on the left as sexist smears are heaped on them.

Such smears are indulged on the left when aimed right, she said, and she was speaking from personal experience. She was the target of a smear campaign originated by George Conway during the impeachment proceedings. Conway called her “lying trash.” See the unedifying exchanges documented here by USA Today.

"I’d like to save the rest of my notes for a concluding post tomorrow. Please check back for more in the morning."

A word with Elise Stefanik part 2  . . . "I mentioned to Rep. Stefanik how much I admired women standing up to run for office on our side because of the abuse to which they subject themselves. Unlike their Democratic counterparts, the abuse won’t be offset by features glamorizing them in the fashion magazines. We’re not holding our breath for Stefanik’s 2020 class to be featured by Glamour in a shot like this one, for example.

“You need a thick skin,” she said, “and it’s not just women.” She cited Senator Tim Scott. “They are vicious and vile” — you know who “they” are — “and they can get away with it because the media allow them to.”

She noted that Nancy Pelosi’s super PAC devoted special attention to fending off Republican women candidates. This is the subtext of the Politico story “Pelosi-aligned super PAC adds $18M to fall ad buys.”

POLITICS NOV. 12, 2020 How the Pink Wave Turned Red  ..."The GOP did indeed have a historic Election Night: There will be at least 13 Republican non-incumbent women in the freshman class of the House of Representatives in 2021, surpassing the party’s previous record of nine such candidates in 2010. This brings the total number to 26 — woefully behind Democrats, who will have 88 women in the House in 2021 (down one from 2018), but Republican women — who helped flip at least six seats — are being touted as an emergent force."...

Actor Ricky Schroder Helped Get Kyle Rittenhouse Out Of Jail

The son of Obama's friend Bill Ayers is unhappy. Perhaps killing a policeman would have been more to their liking.

Weasel Zippers

"Via NY Post:

Actor Ricky Schroder and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell both helped get Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse out of jail on a $2 million bond Friday, according to a report.

The baby-faced gunman — who faces murder charges in the Aug. 25 shooting during Black Lives Matter protests in the Wisconsin city — posed for a pic with the “NYPD Blue” actor after the bond was posted by his lawyers on Friday, CBS affiliate WBBM-TV reported.

Lin Wood, one of Rittenhouse’s lawyers, posted the photo on Twitter shortly before 9 p.m.

“FREE AT LAST!!!” Wood wrote on the post, which shows a smiling Rittenhouse standing between Schroder and attorney John Pierce.

“Thank you; All Donors. Thank you, All Patriots. Thank God Almighty.”

San Fran DA Slings Biggest Bunch of Bull Against Kyle Rittenhouse  "San Francisco was a once beautiful city that I enjoyed visiting.

"But with Democrats in charge, it has since descended into a needle and poop-infested pithole.

"It’s also going to get even worse with the San Francisco District Attorney now responsible for prosecuting crime in the city since he was voted in last year. Chesa Boudin ran on a platform that he would eliminate criminal prosecution for “quality of life” crimes. So for all those things that are prohibited and make life in a city livable, this guy just removed the proscriptions on them, guaranteeing that they will get even worse.

"If his name sounds familiar, it’s because Boudin was the child of Weather Underground terrorists."...

..."He then was raised by other Weather underground members, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.

"But Boudin decided to put his foot in his mouth. He not only said Kyle Rittenhouse had committed murder, he claimed that there was “strong evidence that the white shooter was motivated by racial bias.”...

Joe Biden mocks a reporter who asks him a legitimate question

Monica Showalter  "Right now as I write this, the press is having a cow about White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany getting into another scrap with the press after calling one of them, probably accurately, an "activist."

"No such outcry for Joe Biden, who mocked a reporter asking him a serious question:

"That was quite a dodge.  Actually, the reporter was shouting the questions because he couldn't get answers otherwise, and Joe Biden, who's been in high office for 47 years, would most certainly know it.

"He was just letting his utter "mean" slip out, because packaging aside, he's no nice guy, no "Mr. Decency," — he's "the big guy" and as nasty as they come.

"Naturally, he didn't answer the question.  He chose instead to attempt to bully the reporter, who was just doing his job.  We often speak of the lapdog press not doing its job, but whenever one tries, he gets this kind of bullying stonewalling from Biden.

" 'Hey, your shoe's untied!"

"Twitchy, which has a list of reactions, noted that the lapdog press never came to the reporter's aid.  They're still counting on access to Biden insiders and big book deals for themselves thereafter.  Like Biden, they're happy to be corrupted by the lure of swamp money.  So they hurl their softballs instead, asking Biden about his ice cream flavor.

"But this mock-the-reporter incident does tell us a lot about Biden."....

We learned who shot J.R., but will we ever learn who voted for Biden?

Silvio Canto, Jr.  "The "Dallas" TV series was a huge success in the 1970s, 1980s, and even 1990s.  On March 13, 1980, the season ended with someone shooting J.R. Ewing, the Texas oilman that everybody loved to hate.  The show's fans spent most of the summer wondering "Who shot JR"?

"In fact, it was millions, and around the world:  Who shot J.R.?  Some 83 million people in the country saw the show or an amazing 76% of all of the TVs in the US.   As I recall, it was Kristin who shot him and the mystery was over!

"Forty years later, many of us are asking a different question:  Who voted for Biden?   How did this man win the election given the red wave that swept the U.S. House and state legislatures?   The GOP won everything that mattered, and specially so, looking ahead to redistricting.

"Biden may be taking the oath of office in January but the numbers just don't add up, as David Catron wrote:

"In the end, to accept Joe Biden as our legitimate chief executive, we must believe the voters hammered the Democrats in congressional, state, and local elections, yet decided to elect the “leader” of their party president.

"We must believe that Biden dramatically underperformed among minority voters, yet received 10 million more votes than Barack Obama.

"We must believe that virtually all of the reliable election bellwethers were wrong.

"We must believe that all of the elections in the swing states were conducted honestly and that the Venezuelan software used to tabulate the votes was secure.

"All of this beggars belief.

"Yes it does.  We learned who shot J.R. because someone actually did.  In the case of 2020, we "elected" a president but no one can tell you how he won."

Media’s hiding of Hunter Biden scandal robbed Trump of clear win: Poll

"Enough of Joe Biden’s voters would have switched their selection had they known about his son Hunter’s money scandal, enough to give President Trump a clear victory.

"In a new survey, 4.6% of Biden’s voters said they would not have selected him had they been aware of his son’s China money affair."

How is Ukraine reacting to Biden as president? I am embarrassed for our nation and its voters.  Those voters selected a man of action

The Media Should Be Held Accountable For Their Lies

Young Patriot Rising  "This election woke up more Americans to how the media are complete liars and untrustworthy. Fox News surprised a lot of people for pushing liberal bias. I’ve said this before, but it’s true: mainstream media is the enemy of the American people. The coverage for Joe Biden and even the election has truly been sickening. At this point, it feels like you don’t know where to get your news from for the election because it’s all rigged to show Biden winning. Democrats, and even so-called “Republicans,” will give Biden states that only have some of the votes in, but when it comes to states like Florida or Texas, with over 90% of the votes in, they want to “wait and make sure the votes are fair.” The media is no longer worth trusting in. Whatever sliver of respect or trust Americans had in them has been completely lost. The media needs to be held accountable for their false and (quite honestly) outrageous reporting. MSM follows this Adolf Hitler quote to a tee:

Pinterest
"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it."

"Look at how the media lied about Donald Trump, calling him a racist and white supremacist. The media especially tried to make us believe that Trump was racist against Hispanics. That’s a complete lie, and Trump has the record to prove it. Why did Trump do so well with Latino voters? Because Democrats pandered only to African Americans, while completely ignoring Hispanics. Most Hispanics can think for themselves, and many escaped socialism or Communism. They understand what Democrats are pushing for. That’s why Trump won so much of the Cuban vote. They recognize his results of helping their community. Now, you’d think the media would recognize this, but instead, they assume that any minority that voted for Trump hates themselves. Remind me again who is the racist side? There are so many other examples of how the media has lied to us, but I don’t have the time to write all of them.

"Instead of recognizing the truth, the media keeps covering for their own side. Why else did they choose to not cover the Tony Bobulinski? Journalism is truly dead. Tucker Carlson mentioned many good points about how the media lost their credibility. Why is this? Because they're all out of touch with average Americans. Despite him saying "Not Fox News," I think Tucker was still calling out Fox for being biased (which we all know). The way the media immediately shut down Tony Bobulinski's story on the Bidens should've told you enough. Tucker was the only person willing to take on the Left, and allow Tony to explain his truth. The Bidens are clearly compromised, and shouldn't be in the race still, yet the media covers for Biden." . . .

Brady White Files: Big-City Cop Explains Why He Left That Police Department for Good

 PJ Media

"This may come as a shock to you, dear reader, but cop-hating Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty has failed to take responsibility for her awful behavior towards a Lyft driver.

I’ll give you a moment to recover.

"Last week, it came to light that Hardesty had been verbally abusive to her Lyft driver on a trip home from ilani Casino Resort on November 1, to the point the driver canceled the ride and dropped her off at a gas station to order another Lyft. In response, Hardesty called 911.

Hardesty

. . . "White has taken the step to speak out despite the threats to his job and his livelihood. “If I wrote under my real name and told you where I really work,” he said, “I would at the very least be suspended and probably transferred, taken off the streets and buried somewhere where no one wants to work, or possibly fired. That goes for most active-duty law enforcement.”

"Now, he’s written about his resignation from a riot-infested hell-hole of a big-city police department. He writes:

As I told you in my previous rants, many people are leaving law enforcement. Some are leaving altogether, and others like myself are leaving large departments for smaller ones.

I recently resigned from my big-city police department for a smaller agency. The citizens are more pro-law enforcement and the administration still backs its officers if you’re doing the right thing for the right reasons.  Even if you happen to go viral for doing your job. Even if a knife-wielding maniac tries to advance on you and you have to meet lethal force with lethal force. See: Philadelphia.

My old agency is in real trouble, but city hall isn’t really aware of it yet. Or worse, if they are—they don’t care.  Due to COVID-19  budget shortfalls, there’s a hiring freeze right now. People like me are leaving. A dozen to this agency here, thirty-plus to an agency over there, a little bit at a time over the next few months. When State Police opens their academy in the spring? Say goodbye to another dozen or more.

They’re also incentivizing early retirements by the end of the year. Meaning, those with enough time on, or through the incentives that can buy service time through unused sick/vacation time, they’re leaving too. One guy comes to mind, who called me today and told me, “Seeing you in street clothes smiling while turning in your sh– was it for me. F— ’em. I go Monday to start my paperwork.” Good for you, bro. You earned it. Now bankrupt them one month at a time for the next forty years [with the pension payouts].

So who’s left? The ones who can’t leave yet, the lazy, the connected. You think their loyalty will be rewarded?  You don’t do more with less. You do less with less. They’re going to be short-staffed and overworked. Like I said in a previous article, welcome to Delta City. Only there’s no RoboCop walking through the door to save anyone.
