Dem’s Smear Campaign Against SCOTUS Conservatives Boomerangs On Sotomayor -

 The Lid (lidblog.com)

"You’d almost have to be blind not to notice the full-court press in the campaign to discredit GOP-nominated members of the Supreme Court.

"Oppo research has dug up stories about friends, relations, and travel — insinuating that these Justices have been somehow ‘on the take’ when, on closer inspection, there is no evidence of rulings being influenced, of improper gifts, or even any indication that the instances cited are equal to or less than similar gifts afforded to their Democrat-nominated counterparts.

"Wave after wave of critical stories come out as if to confirm everything Justice Thomas once said in his confirmation hearings about ‘high-tech lynchings.’ The attention is always laser-focused on what they can dig up about the conservative judges.

"Critics on the right are nearly unanimous in their condemnation of this tactic as a naked attempt to discredit some judges, so they can ‘fix’ the ‘problem,’ so they can control the one branch of government that is an impediment to their agenda.". . .

REPORT: Charges Against Hunter Biden May Be Imminent –

REPORT: Charges Against Hunter Biden May Be Imminent – PJ Media "A decision on whether to charge Hunter Biden is imminent in the investigation led by U.S. Attorney David Weiss of Delaware, according to sources cited by The Washington Post.

“ 'The people familiar with the matter said Weiss is nearing the end of his decision-making process, although they offered no specific timetable,” the report explains. “They cautioned that the probe has taken longer than some officials thought it would, frustrating some law enforcement officials, and conceivably could slow down again before a decision has been reached.”

"Biden’s lawyers reportedly met with prosecutors to receive an update on the case last week. Sources have claimed that Hunter Biden has received preferential treatment during the agency’s investigation, which has been ongoing for four years and reportedly involves potential tax crimes and gun-related charges. Two senior law enforcement sources told NBC News last month that most of the work on Hunter Biden’s case was completed around a year ago and expressed frustration over its mishandling.

“ 'Any decision could have a significant impact on President Biden, who just launched his reelection campaign, bringing national attention to a sensitive topic that aides often struggle to broach with the president,” the Washington Post admits. Newly released emails offer fresh evidence contradicting Joe Biden’s repeated denials of any knowledge regarding Hunter Biden’s business activities. The emails show that Hunter Biden was selling access to his father during the latter’s tenure as vice president under Barack Obama." . . .

The Biden 'Bribery' Report Shows Joe Must Go

Katie Pavlich   "It’s official. President Joe Biden is running for re-election and taking Vice President Kamala Harris along with him.

"In only two years at the White House, Biden has caused enormous damage to the country, threatened U.S. national security and weakened America throughout the world with his disastrous foreign policy.

"In his re-election video, Biden claims he’s standing up for the freedoms of Americans. Reality and Biden’s actions tell a different story.

"Biden has repeatedly targeted political opponents with the full force of the federal government and violated the fundamental rights of Americans. He’s destroyed the economy with sky-high inflation, implemented Marxist policies in the mortgage system (which will lead to another housing crisis) and forced hardworking Americans to pay off the student debt of wealthy degree holders. He’s made it a habit of tearing down fundamental American values about hard work and personal responsibility. All of this while partnering with his son Hunter to sell out the country to foreign adversaries.

"Biden talks about freedom, yet he’s targeting your Second Amendment rights with calls for gun bans and by signing executive orders. Government bureaucrats, with his endorsement, have violated the First Amendment through Big Tech censorship. Not to mention his efforts to fire thousands of Americans after they said no thank you to an ineffective vaccine.". . .

'The View' Somehow Managed to Get Even Worse as Writers' Strike Leaves Whoopi Totally Lost

So these women are not the bitter scolds we have thought them to be; that they voice the writer's opinions? Just as Joe Biden and KJP's words are those of someone in the bowels of the Democrat party! The Tunnel Dweller

IJR  "It turns out, the legal department’s lawyers aren’t the only writers for “The View.”

"Most Americans who are even aware of ABC’s hour-long exercise in intellectual ineptitude probably look at “The View” like a particularly annoying happy hour in a college town: A collection of wealthy, ill-informed women voicing utterly conventional opinions on the “hot topics” of the day.

"But the Writers Guild of America strike that started Tuesday revealed there’s something else going on besides the usual limousine leftist echo chamber — and Whoopi Goldberg & Co. weren’t dealing with things particularly well.

At the top of the hour, Goldberg — the de facto ringmaster of the chattering circus — announced to the viewers of “The View” that the show was going on despite the writers’ strike, and the warts might show.

They showed — almost immediately.

US Weakness Invites Iranian Attacks on Shipping in the Gulf

There is only two ways to respond to Iranian regime aggression: forceful military action, and by empowering the Iranian pro-democracy movement.

American Thinker   On Wednesday we learned that the Iranian regime has seized a second oil tanker recently in the Persian Gulf, forcing it to dock at an Iranian port under orders from the regime's "judiciary."

It was seized by Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Go-fast boats in the Strait of Hormuz. This remains the world's most important oil transit chokepoint, according to the US Energy Information Administration, where roughly 20% of the world’s oil transits every day.

"The Pentagon subsequently informed us that these two incidents were just the latest of fifteen cases since Biden came to the White House where Iran has threatened or attacked international shipping in the Persian Gulf region.

"These kind of attacks are unacceptable. The Iranians know that, and I guarantee you our enemies and adversaries know that. And yet the Iranians act with impunity. Why?

"For starters, they know the current U.S. President. Biden has been taking money and supporting pro-Tehran regime lobbyists since at least 2002, when a group of Tehran-supporters threw a fund-raiser for him in California that brought in $30,000.". . .

Soros-backed prosecutor mired in scandal resigns from office

Fox News   "An embattled George Soros-bankrolled prosecutor in St. Louis resigned Thursday amid a legal effort by Missouri's attorney general to fire her for allegedly neglecting her duties.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, the city's top prosecutor, is stepping down following repeated, bipartisan calls for her resignation from officials across the state.

"Gardner's office tweeted her resignation letter, which was addressed to the people of St. Louis.

"Gardner is one of the first progressive prosecutors whom Soros, a liberal billionaire and Democrat mega-donor, bankrolled in 2016 and again for her re-election in 2020. She announced last month that she would seek a third term. Her resignation is effective June 1.

"For years, Gardner's office has faced criticism for mishandling cases and office dysfunction. The final straw for Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey came in February, when a teenage volleyball player visiting St. Louis with her team was struck by a car and lost both of her legs.

"A man was charged in the crash with assault, armed criminal action and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. He was out on bond awaiting trial for a separate armed robbery case despite violating the terms of his bond several dozen times.". . .

Charging Decision in Hunter Biden Case Reportedly Imminent, Major Concerns Arise Amidst News

That entire arrangement is cause for major concern. It makes no sense, and one would suspect that Morris has been promised (or is actively receiving) something in return. Wealthy people don’t normally dump millions of dollars into degenerate drug addicts for no reason.

RedState  "Could there finally be light at the end of the tunnel regarding the federal criminal investigation into Hunter Biden? According to a new report from The Washington Post, citing numerous sources, a charging decision is now imminent and the investigation itself is essentially complete. "That news comes after four years of rumors and speculation surrounding the probe, including lots of questions about why it has taken this long to near its culmination.

Prosecutors are nearing a decision on whether to charge President Biden’s son Hunter with tax and gun-related violations, according to people familiar with the matter, the culmination of a four-year investigation that Republicans have sought to portray as evidence the Biden family is corrupt.

Biden’s attorneys met at Justice Department headquarters in downtown Washington last week to discuss the case with U.S. Attorney David Weiss of Delaware, according to the people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing criminal investigation. Typically, that sort of meeting — in which defense lawyers urge prosecutors not to seek an indictment of their client, or to seek reduced charges —comes toward the end of an investigation.

"According to the same sources, law enforcement officials have been frustrated by the painfully slow pace of the investigation. Taking four years to prepare a case involving tax fraud and a cut-and-dry gun crime charge against a single person is not typical, and it’s led many to rightfully speculate that politics has played a role in how the situation has been handled.". . .

WATCH: KJP Refuses To Say Why The Bidens Don't Acknowledge Their 7th Grandchild

(trendingpoliticsnews.com)  "During Tuesday’s White House briefing, Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment on the ongoing child support trial in Arkansas involving Hunter Biden, the President’s son. Despite being asked about why the Bidens have not acknowledged the child, KJP refused to answer any questions on the matter.

"When asked if the President and First Lady were monitoring the trial, KJP simply replied, “I’m not going to speak to that from here.”

When pressed further about why the Bidens have not publicly acknowledged their seventh grandchild, KJP responded, “I’m not going to speak to that.”  WATCH:

"Hunter has been in an ongoing legal battle with Lunden Roberts over child support payments for their daughter. During a hearing in an Arkansas court, Hunter’s lawyers argued that he could not continue to pay the current amount of $20,000 per month and is financially strapped.
"However, Roberts’ lawyer argued that Hunter is living lavishly and has not provided complete financial details, particularly regarding his art sales. The judge criticized Hunter’s legal team for concealing financial details and ordered them to refile papers, suggesting that a subpoena could be issued to force the gallery to reveal the names of buyers and prices of the art. The judge also ordered both parties to appear for all future court dates and expressed her desire to see the case resolved soon.". . . What would daddy do, Hunter?

Liberal SCOTUS Justice Caught in Scandal That Blows up Recent Left-Wing Attacks

RedState   "There’s one certainty in politics. If a Democrat is accusing a Republican of doing something, it is the Democrat who is inevitably actually doing it.

"That dynamic played out again Wednesday after a major revelation about Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor called into question all the recent left-wing attacks on Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch.

"For the last few weeks, a coordinated assault on the court’s conservatives has taken place, with numerous press outlets releasing reports supposedly detailing corruption. In reality, essentially everything charged amounted to nothing legally or ethically. In the case of Thomas, he was not required to report the free travel he received from long-time friend Harlan Crow. A secondary charge that Thomas misreported income also turned out to be nothing more than a simple technical mistake involving two entities with nearly identical names.

"As for Neil Gorsuch, he was accused of selling land to the executive of a law firm that had business before the Supreme Court. Once again reality got in the way of the far-left hysteria, though, after it was revealed that Gorsuch sold the property just nine days after being confirmed and that the person he sold it to had no business at all before the court at the time.

"You get the idea. These attacks have been absolutely ridiculous, but that didn’t stop Senate Democrats from calling a hearing to furiously wag their fingers. Well, they are going to have to call another hearing because it’s been revealed that Sotomayor took $3.6 million from a book company that did have business before the court at the time (The Daily Wire).". . .

The Wages Of Woke Are Death

 Issues & Insights

"One win for the woke insurgency is the American Medical Association’s “Organizational Strategic Plan to Embed Racial Justice and Advance Health Equity.” Goldfarb says that “unlike other social justice programs, this program is lethal” and “will tangibly reduce the quality of medical care, and almost every American will suffer its side effects' ”. . .

"Going woke means more than, as the saying says, going broke. It also means the ultimate loss of life. The grip of wokeness on our society will eventually kill Americans.

"Let’s begin with health care. Medical school students, whose learning should be focused on the healing arts, are being taught social justice ideology. Apparently, white supremacy, oppression, and structural racism must be addressed by America’s doctors-to-be, as well asthe sin of being white.

"Diversity, equity, and inclusion studies are being required at some schools, which of course crowds out time used in the past to acquire the knowledge and develop the skills needed to be a good doctor. Politics have no place in medical schools, but there they are.

"At the same time, some schools, as many as 40, are dropping standardized testing for diversity’s sake, reports the Daily Caller. The Medical College Admission Test, which “determines an individual’s ability to problem solve, think critically, and understand concepts about medical study,” does not serve the purposes of the social justice mafia. Now there are other legitimate academic avenues to medical school outside the MCAT. But as we’ve seen in other institutions of higher learning, standards designed to demonstrate and ensure competence are being killed off.". . .

Book Review: Take Two Aspirin and Call Me By My Pronouns: Why Turning Doctors into Social Justice Warriors is Destroying American Medicine (substack.com)  . . ."In a nutshell, and this is something I assume most of my readers as well as everyone with an ounce of common sense already knows, you should avoid black and mestizo doctors under the age of 50 or so. They might be great doctors but they are more likely to be people accepted and pushed through medical school because of their race. This is increasingly true the younger the doctor. You can't tell so the safest route is to avoid them. There are crappy White and Asian doctors as well but at least most of them got into and then graduated from medical school on their own merit and in spite of the barriers erected because of their race.

UPenn doctor: ‘Anti-racist’ policies are wrecking American medicine (nypost.com) "Goldfarb is fighting back through Do No Harm, an organization he founded this year that helps protect doctors, patients and health care itself from “discriminatory, divisive ideologies.” In March, he doubled down with the new book “Take Two Aspirin and Call Me by My Pronouns: Why Turning Doctors into Social Justice Warriors Is Destroying American Medicine.”   And sure enough, this is what you knew would happen:

"As a result of his remarks, he has been publicly censured by UPenn Medical School’s chairman, Dr. Michael Parmacek. A minority advocacy group run by Dr. Ashley Denmark, a black female doctor, also started a petition earlier this year demanding Goldfarb’s removal from the college."

What We’re Learning From Pushing Back Against the Trans Crowd

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

The Left gins up oodles of freaks to descend on the capitols and make things as openly, obnoxiously unpleasant as they can.

A transgender activist speaks before the Louisiana House of Representatives

"You already know what’s happening. In Tennessee, the Legislature passed a bill that puts a stop to transgender surgeries for minors, and the Left went crazy. Not long after the bill passed, a biological female still living at home at 28 snapped, descending on a Christian school in a psychotic rage and killing three school staffers and three 9-year-olds before law enforcement gave her the suicide-by-cop she wanted. The shooter wrote a manifesto explaining the crime, which the police still refuse to release — a telltale sign that trans politics played a role.

"The news media picked up on the Nashville massacre and immediately blamed it on the state Legislature, which led to a riot in the state capitol for … gun control.

The shooter in the Nashville massacre was in illegal possession of the guns used to kill those six people, an ironic fact that escaped the demonstrators completely.

"Tennessee has been reported as a black eye for conservatives. It wasn’t. Tennessee was a battle, not immaculately won, in the war to stop transgenderism from being imposed on the American people as so many other faux “civil rights” aggressions have been.

""One of the themes in this week’s episode of The Spectacle podcast gets clearer and clearer as this fight deepens in state legislatures — namely, that, as Tucker Carlson noted in that outstanding Heritage Foundation speech two Fridays ago before the doddering Rupert Murdoch fired him from his Fox News post in a fit of pique, this is no longer Right vs. Left but good vs. evil.". . .  Full article

The New Ugly Americans

  Victor Davis Hanson

How odd that those on the Left who in the past decried "American imperialism" are now proving the greatest imperialists of all.

"The old cultural imperialism was supposedly greedy corporatism like Disneyland, McDonald's, and Starbucks sprouting up worldwide to supplant local competitors.
"But these businesses spread because they appealed to free-will consumer demand abroad. They were not imposed top down.
"The U.S. presence in Afghanistan collapsed in August 2021 amid the greatest American military humiliation in modern history. A billion-dollar new embassy was abandoned. Hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of new infrastructure at the huge Bagram Airbase was dumped.
"We still do not know how many billions of dollars of sophisticated new weapons were left to the Taliban and now are making their way through global terrorists' marts.
"Yet, in our skedaddle, the LGBTQ flag still flew high from our new Kabul embassy. A George Floyd mural was prominent on city streets.
"And gender studies programs - to the tune of $787 million in American subsidies - were showcased at Kabul University, in one of the most conservative Islamic countries in the world.
"Rainbow flags and Black Lives Matter banners have hung from our embassy in South Korea.
"Such partisan cultural activism is a diplomatic first.
"The woke Left has now weaponized the country's diplomatic missions abroad to advance highly partisan and controversial agendas that can offend their hosts, and do not represent the majority of American voters at home.". . .

. . .American foreign policy toward other nations seems now to hinge on their positions on transgender people, LGBTQ promotion, abortion, climate change, and an array of woke issues from using multiple pronouns on passports to showcasing transgender ambassadors. . .
