Point/ Counterpoint: the Criminalization of Politics

Darrell Issa and the Criminalization of Politics " I’m not naïve enough to believe that if Republicans were to act responsibly, Democrats would necessarily follow suit. They might. It depends on who is in charge of which committees. A vindictive man like Waxman is not likely to change his ways. Regardless, Republicans should act in a way that is in the public interest. They can only control what they can do, not what others do. "Peter Wehner

RE: Darrell Issa And the Criminalization of Politics  "I would suggest that the proper balance in this is ample congressional oversight, but selective (very selective) use of criminal proceedings. The punishment for unwise, ethically repugnant, and incompetent office holders should come from the ballot box. But to do that we first have to figure out what they are up to. In the Obama era, I think we could use plenty more of that." Jennifer Rubin
