DISGUSTING: Obama Recognizes Muslim Brotherhood – Parent of Al-Qaeda, HAMAS

Debbie Schlussel  "At this point, it’s well beyond solidified that any Republican (except Ron Paul) will be a better President. ANY. All. This guy MUST. GO. If Sarah Palin were the nominee, I would even vote for her. This guy is unAmerican. It’s not American to recognize any Islamic terrorist group bent on the West’s destruction. This isn’t about Israel. It’s about the long-term survival of the West. Period. And Barack Obama is a soldier for the other side."

"The U.S. has decided to formally resume contact with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood group - which does not recognize Israel – in a move that could further alienate some Jewish voters already skeptical of President Barack Obama, it was reported."

Afghanistan: Muslims behead convert from Islam to Christianity, warn other converts of "dire consequences" for leaving Islam
"In the video, Latif can be seen struggling with his captors from the ground while one of the militants thrust a medium-sized blade in the side of his neck. The men then began shouting "Allahu Akhbar," or "God is great," until Latif is fully beheaded and his head placed upon his chest...."

Statue of Reagan Is Unveiled in London

NY Times Europe  "The statue of a smiling Reagan, dressed in a crisp suit, was paid for by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation as part of a worldwide effort to promote his legacy, according to the organization’s executive director. Similar events have been held in the last few days in Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary." ....
"In a speech, Mr. McCarthy described Mr. Reagan’s fight not only against the forces of Communism, but against the “tyranny” of debt and big government. He and Mrs. Thatcher, he said, “did not move to the center to gather votes, they moved the center to them.” "

Daniel Hannan: Ronald Reagan: Britain's finest friend, America's finest president  "Every president from Theodore Roosevelt to George W Bush has been, in practical terms, pro-British: Barack Obama is the exception. No, what sets him apart is the magnitude of his achievement. At home, he reversed the disastrous decline of conservatism and began the work of constraining government. Abroad, as the inscription on his statue puts it, he won the Cold War without firing a shot."    Daniel Hannan is a writer and journalist, and has been Conservative MEP for South East England since 1999. He speaks French and Spanish and loves Europe, but believes that the European Union is making its constituent nations poorer, less democratic and less free.
From the UK Telegraph  "Mr Reagan's great political ally and friend, former prime minister Baroness Thatcher, was not able to attend due to her physical frailty, so Mr Hague paid tribute to the former President on her behalf: "Ronald Reagan was a great President and a great man. A true leader for our times. It was a pleasure to be his colleague and his friend and I hope that this statue will be a reminder to future generations of the debt we owe him," he said."
We look forward with anticipation to the erection of a statue of Barack Obama in the Luton district of London.

Who is this man?

You have to be above a certain age to know the answer.

Happy Independence Day!

Molly Pitcher
After replacing her fallen husband, a British musket ball flew between her legs and tore off the bottom of her skirt. Molly supposedly said, "Well, that could have been worse," and went back to loading the cannon.

A Very Reagan Fourth of July  "Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but Democrats believe every day is April 15th"  Via Warning Signs

Beyond Obama’s Assault on Free Speech

American Enterprise Institute  "President Obama has a history of making very strong statements in support of the First Amendment. On the importance of free speech, the president has reached out beyond the mere positive law embodied in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, flirting with a natural law concept of free speech as an inherent right of mankind. In a 2009 statement, the president used strong words in support of the inalienable right to speech. “The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights.”
"The president should have added, “Except with those who seek to exercise those rights in ways that are objectionable to me.” "...

Hollywood’s Hatred of American Culture

Breitbart TV "Find out how the negativity and self-loathing of modern Hollywood is just a small gear in the machine that brings down entire nations. What can we do about it? Well, we can walk right into the heart of Mordor and destroy the Ring of Power."

Newsweek Columnist on Obama’s Hyper-Partisan Press Conference: “He Was a g*ddam Democrat”

Gateway Pundit  "It’s not just TIME Mag reporters who are getting frustrated with Obama’s failed leadership, now it’s Newsweek…
"Newsweek magazine columnist Evan Thomas Gordon Peterson was not happy with Obama’s arrogant and angry performance this past week during his press conference."....

"Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer’s sentiments fell in line with Thomas’s.
“Instead of saying, as a president ought to say, is that we have a problem — it is a serious problem, it’s a growing problem, it’s a structural problem and we have to do something, he says, as in the sound bite you showed, it is a choice between helping the elderly on Medicare and corporate jets and oil tax breaks,” Krauthammer added. “That is pure demagoguery and that is not leadership.”

Constitutional Interpretation

Kerby Anderson, "Apparently the founders of this country and the framers of the Constitution were
concerned that we would drift from these principles due to incremental changes. James Madison is considered the architect of the Constitution. He warned, “I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpation.” " Probe Ministries , Point of View

Federalist No. 78 – The Judiciary Department  "It was this departure from Hamilton’s recipe that left Americans with the legacy of a radical out-of-control judiciary. The branch that should be the weakest of the three now too often attempts to overpower the political branches whenever it wants to do so.
"The good news is that Hamilton and his fellow Federalist Paper authors, James Madison and John Jay, left us with a guide for having a judiciary that is, truly, the “least dangerous branch.” The answer is self-constrained judges with respect for the parameters of the Constitution."

Declaration of Independence for kids Very useful until you come to the final paragraph; there the apologies and liberal caveats appear.  Eye-opening in that you can see how American History is being taught today. Does this article make you appreciate our founders or distrust them?

Snopes: The Price They Paid: Signers of Declaration of Independence

Our enemies rejoice as wounded US lion withdraws from Afghanistan

The Australian   "Many in the US and across the world wonder if Obama's speech - and the broad bipartisan support for it - is yet another sign of America's decline. American power and weakness is often a matter of perception.
"From the Taliban's perspective, the withdrawal is a sign of US weakness and their impending victory.
"Not only the Taliban will see it this way: Iran and Syria's regimes and the malignant units in the Pakistani military and secret service see a weak America that roars but retreats when the going gets tough.
"The short-term benefits of abandoning counter-insurgency may be politically appealing. The long-term costs may be greater than Obama anticipates."
This is not the Democrat Party of Harry Truman any more. (Really? What was your first clue?)
