Our Lord Himself declares in the Scriptures that He does not desire the worship of manmade icons or any likenesses of Himself. The cross can be one of those icons.

The real significance of the cross removal is that it vividly proclaims that America can no longer call itself a Christian nation-if it indeed ever could.
