Affordable Care Act: if we didn't laugh we'd cry. But that would be racist, wouldn't it?

"Who says President Barack Obama (D) hasn't accomplished anything?  Not Global Language Monitor, an Austin, Texas based firm helping clients protect their branded products."...

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood Slam ObamaCare, Spoof ACA Website Problems at CMAs  "The pair kicked off a rant about the faulty Affordable Care Act website after the country crooner “injured” himself “twerking.”
“ 'I started signing up last Thursday and I’m almost done,” quipped Underwood."

As predicted:  Freak-out in full swing over ‘rich, white’ racists mocking Obamacare at the CMAs

Simulated sex acts will be tolerated on national TV, but you will NOT mock liberal programs!

Some people a bit upset that CMAs got political. Who can blame them? First time that's ever happened on an awards show.

White House blames the victim of Obamacare regs

On Tuesday, TW posted this about  in the Wall Street Journal: White House Adviser Smears Cancer Patient Who Lost Her Health Insurance
The post included reaction to her piece from a White House official. This next article has more on the administration's treatment of Mrs. Sundby:

White House blames the victim of Obamacare regs  "For daring to expose the failures of Obamacare, Obama advisor Dan Pfeiffer immediately exploded with a misleading tweet citing a misleading article in a leftist publication falsely claiming her up to now fine insurance company dropped her because they couldn't take the competition.
"Wrong! The insurance company was just following the law; Pfeiffer's boss's namesake law.".... Ethel C. Fenig

So this guy walks into a bar...

As long as we're on the subject: Thanks, Suckers
"A 48-year-old California trial lawyer has some words of wisdom for the millenials who voted for Obama at Townhall.com.  I’ll let Kurt Schlichter convey his message in his own words.
What did you get? The chance to be forced to buy health insurance you don’t want at inflated rates so my rates can be lower. You get to pay more out of your monthly barista take – liberalism ensured that the tanked job market foreclosed a real career – so that I get to pay less out of my lawyer checks. Thanks, suckers.

'If you like your vowels...' Pat Sajak pokes fun at Obamacare

"Move over, political pundits. Even game show hosts are stepping out to poke fun at Obamacare.
"Chicago's Pat Sajak, famed host of "Wheel of Fortune," finds the confusion regarding the Obamacare law both maddening and hilarious. After Kathleen Sebelius testified before Congress yesterday, Sajak took to his Twitter account to have some fun, cleverly relating it all to a new method of buying vowels on his show."

Considering rule change for Wheel: If you like your vowels, you can keep your vowels.

Obama Secret Service Agent: “It’s Worse Than People Know… and I’m Not Trying to Scare You Either”

bongino
shtfplan  (Pictured: Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino with President Obama)
Infowars  "Dan Bongino has protected numerous Presidents over his career, including President Obama. He has been within ear-shot of many a discussion in the Oval Office, but up until this administration has stayed out of the lime light. Apparently, however, the activities of this administration are so abhorrent that he could no longer keep quiet."

WND posts this:  "Starting his career in law enforcement with the NYPD in 1995, Bongino joined the ranks of the Secret Service in 1999 as a special agent where he was assigned to investigate financial crimes. In 2006, he entered into duty with the elite Presidential Protective Division in the administration of President George W. Bush and remained on protective duty during the change in administration to that of President Barack Obama. He resigned from the Secret Service in 2011 to run for a U.S. Senate seat in Maryland."

From Opposing Views: Dan Bongino Slams Obama for NSA Spying, but Not Bush   "For reasons unknown, Bongino did not mention why he didn't step forward for eight years during the Bush administration, which began the NSA spying on Americans."
Opposing views cites this open letter from Bongino"

Mr. President,
In one of your famous #Obamacare speeches you stated, “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.”

Well, as evidenced by the below letter, which my wife and I just received, you lied.
We did “like our plan” and were informed in this letter that our plan will no longer exist and we will be forced to purchase a new plan, from a website which doesn’t work, for a higher monthly premium, for services we don’t want.

Now, I know I am not one of your connected cronies and insiders, who were all given waivers from this disastrous piece of legislation. I was just one of the Secret Service agents who put my ass on the line for you every day, but I was still praying that given our middle-class existence, operating a small-business, that your “fundamental transformation” of America would have stayed out of our home. Apparently that is not the case as my public battle against your disastrous presidency has just become personal.
Regards,
Dan

AP: Obama Relies On ‘Staged Propaganda Photos’; Ya Think?
IJReview  "Editors of The Associated Press have condemned the White House’s refusal to give photojournalists access to Barack Obama, who prefers, instead, to release pictures taken by his own photographers.
"Incredibly, the AP has only been permitted to photograph Obama in the Oval Office on two occasions. Both were during his first term. All other pictures of Obama in his office were taken by paid White House photographers and distributed to the press. Here are a few of them for your viewing pleasure:

Afterthoughts on the New Jersey/ Virginia elections

Republicans mull 'what ifs' in Cuccinelli race
"Ken Cuccinelli's suprisingly close race for Virginia governor has Tea Party Republicans steaming about a lack of support from the national party. Few Republicans in Washington gave Cuccinelli a chance in the race and most big money men kept their checkbooks closed."

Michael BaroneSome reflections on the Virginia and New Jersey elections
Excerpts of the full article included with each point.
1. The Obamacare rollout fiasco and Obama's lies hurt Democrats
Did Obamacare hurt? Well, the exit poll showed Virginia voters opposed rather than favored it by a 53 percent to 45 percent margin.
 2. The government shutdown didn’t much hurt Republicans.
Considering that individuals almost always poll better than groups of people—particularly Republicans (or, for that matter, Democrats) in Congress, this is a devastating result for Obama.
 3. Millennials are souring on Democrats.
But it also suggests that McAuliffe's last-minute campaigners Hillary Clinton (born 1947), Bill Clinton (born 1946) and (the not very technologically savvy) Obama (born 1961) don't necessarily strike a resonant chord with the younger segment of Millennials (born between 1984 and 1995).
 4. Hispanics and Asians didn't rush out for Democrats.
The New Jersey exit poll showed Christie carrying Hispanics 51 percent to 45 percent and losing heavily Hispanic (and historically hugely Democratic) Hudson County by only 55 percent to 44 percent. This is a great achievement that national Republicans need to study.
 5. Private-sector unions.
Democrat and union operatives helped Christie "rein in the outsized benefits and privileges of greedy and self-righteous public-sector unions in the state on the sensible theory that their hard-pressed members were paying for benefits far more lavish than they were getting themselves."
Ken Cuccinelli’s near miss sparks recriminations   "After Cuccinelli’s closer-than-expected loss, the defiant candidate and his supporters said the election results were only a blip on the radar of the larger conservative struggle as they blamed the defeat on Obamacare and a deluge of Democratic attack ads. Some Cuccinelli backers privately steamed that the national party did not do more to shore up Cuccinelli against Democrat Terry McAuliffe and his enormous war chest."  Jonah Goldberg agrees

The Betrayal of Ken Cuccinelli   "They said he was “unelectable.” The RNC put only $3 million into this race."

Can Christie make it on the national level?  "For all his notoriety and political acumen, neither his political nor his policy victories are directly translatable to the national stage."

"The cozy relationship between the Democratic Party and the mainstream media made news Monday when Bill Daley, President Obama’s former Chief of Staff, signed on as a commentator with CBS News.
"Along with his fellow left-leaning media pundits, Daley has his work cut out for him. The immediate task is saving the Obama administration from the Obamacare disaster. Then he will move on with the others to pave the way for Hillary Clinton in 2016."
....
"Daley’s position at CBS is only the latest example of the revolving door that spins for Democrats. Journalists leave prominent media jobs for senior government positions; political operatives with government experience join the media."

Too bad this Virginia election coverage just now came out

Libertarian con in Virginia governor's race revealed
"It has been revealed that the libertarian candidate for governor in Virginia, who is siphoning votes away from Ken Cuccinelli, was funded by an Obama campaign bundler. Meredith Jessup of the Blaze reports:"...
....
"This is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Split your opponent's votes with a hopeless candidate. Coming as it does on Election Day, this revelation may be too late."

Taking Issue with McAuliffe and Single-Issue Voters  "McAuliffe's accusations are outlandish to the point of insulting the intelligence of his opponents and supporters.  Claiming your opponent, whom is married with five daughters, is focused on advancing his anti-woman agenda is patently ridiculous."

Ken Cuccinelli’s rough ride may have lessons big and small for the GOP.
"McAuliffe’s campaign did feature a simple theme: “Republicans like Ken Cuccinelli are horrible people.” That may seem like an exaggeration, but McAuliffe has run a disciplined campaign that began by demonizing his opponent, moved on to demonizing his opponent, and then finished by demonizing his opponent."
