Cruz is advancing and will continue to advance

Althouse   "Let's look a this new CNN poll of registered Republicans and independents who say they lean Republican (PDF):

. . . "Cruz is the alternative to Trump who is least likely to provoke Trump to run as a third party candidate. This makes Cruz an especially compelling alternative for those who want a Republican to win the presidency and think the American electorate will balk at the too-weird Trump. Trump may almost be seen as paving the way for Cruz by developing the same issues and by making Cruz — who also has a weirdness problem — seem, by contrast, normal.

"I wonder what Hillary and her people think, who they're most afraid of. Perhaps there are so many variables that it's not worth figuring out who would be the most dangerous opponent. I've assumed that they are most worried about Rubio. Rubio is attractive, but Trump seems to hate him. I'm thinking Cruz is more dangerous, because Trump will support him. And Cruz will be harder to argue with. Hillary is excellent at maintaining a steely demeanor and she could draw sympathy with the brutish Trump insulting her. With Cruz, she will have to engage in a much more active substantive, verbal way. "

SYED FAROOK: “Single Muslim Male looking for a devout Muslimah to be my jihadi bride”

I am Syed Rizwan Farook looking for my jihadi soulmate"On a dating website profile in 2013, San Bernardino Muslim terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook described himself as spending of lot of his free time at the mosque, memorizing the quran, and going to target practice.

"Daily Beast  The first image of suspected San Bernardino shooter Tashfeen Malik has emerged Friday evening, as obtained by ABC News. Malik, who allegedly pledged allegiance to ISIS around the time she and husband Syed Farook killed 14 people on Wednesday, was born in Pakistan and moved to Saudi Arabia 25 years ago. She and U.S.-born Farook met on a dating website and married in the summer of 2014. She came to America on a K1 “fiancĂ©” visa and received her green card this summer."

A Response to a Black Student at Columbia

"The notion that she is “looking at history through the lens of these powerful, white men” means that race trumps profundity, wisdom, beauty and excellence. Thus, Shakespeare is not the greatest playwright we know of, he is just a white European (and male, to boot). Likewise Beethoven, Bach and other Western composers did not compose what is arguably the greatest music ever composed; they, too, were first and foremost white.

Dennis Prager

"Two weeks ago, the Columbia University newspaper, the Spectator, published an article titled “Students, faculty address institutionalized racism at University Life event.”
"As described in the article, one example of the institutionalized racism that black Columbia students must endure is the university’s Core Curriculum.
"In the words of one of the panelists, fifth-year undergraduate student Nissy Aya, a young black woman, “It’s traumatizing to sit in Core classes. We are looking at history through the lens of these powerful, white men. I have no power or agency as a black woman, so where do I fit in?”
"Her words are worthy of analysis and response." . . .

Robert Gates writes in WaPo: The kind of president we need

. . . "Restrained from questioning the motives of those who disagree and treating them as enemies with no redeeming qualities." . . .
Robert M. Gates   The writer served as secretary of defense in the George W. Bush and Obama administrations.

"Many Americans are mad as hell at our political leaders — both Republican and Democrat — and are giving voice to their anger through the likes of Donald Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). The anger is understandable. The federal government is paralyzed, unable to tackle any of the major problems facing our country or even accomplish basic functions such as enacting annual budgets for federal departments and agencies. The anger derives equally from governmental ineptitude, arrogance and corruption, and self-serving politicians more concerned with getting reelected than with the nation’s future.
"The next president will face major domestic problems, as well as the challenges posed by Iran, Russia, China, North Korea, terrorism and a Middle East in turmoil. What kind of qualities should we be looking for in a new chief executive? Based on my experience working for eight presidents, of both political parties, here is my take:" . . .
. . . "The next president must lead in restoring civility to our political process. We must hope that the president we elect next year will again and again remind all Americans of our common destiny, and that our fate as a nation and as a people is bound up with one another. Our new leader should appeal, in President Abraham Lincoln’s words, to “the better angels of our nature.' ”

A WORLDWIDE REVOLUTION

The Freedom Fighter's Journal

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly;
you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival.
There may even be a worse case.
You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
Sir Winston Churchill

French Reporters Stunned At Obama’s Ignorance: . . .

DCWhispers  "Now it appears some among the Climate Summit’s host-nation French media were just as outraged by Barack Obama’s glaringly ignorant commentary regarding how mass shootings only happen in the United States – and said those words while standing on a stage in Paris less than two weeks after that city saw hundreds of its citizens gunned down and blown up by Muslim terrorists in a mass shooting attack."

"It is said that following what was at times a painfully slow, slouching, and seemingly disinterested performance by President Obama, some among the French media were heard repeatedly using the words, “Connard!” and  “Trouduc!” to describe their feelings regarding Mr. Obama’s bizarre commentary – phrases rather specific to a certain part of the human anatomy.
"(Apologies to our French-speaking readers.)
"And in what is likely very much related news, Mr. Obama’s own Secretary of Defense said today before Congress that ISIS had never been contained – a comment that is in direct opposition to the president’s earlier declarations. It appears some within the administration have had enough of Barack Obama’s glaring ignorance and arrogance that is placing so many at risk." . . .

The only way Hillary can be certain that Bill did not commit rape

"To every survivor of sexual assault...You have the right to be heard. You have the right to be believed. We're with you." —Hillary
http://www.redstate.com/2015/12/04/woman-campaign-event-trolls-hillary-clinton-video/

Woman asks Hillary: If all rape accusers have the right to be believed, should we believe the women who say your husband raped them?

"Exit question: If accusers have a right to be taken seriously, if not quite “believed,” does that mean she took Broaddrick seriously when she first accused Bill of assault? That’s a follow-up question for the next townhall attendee who gets to quiz her."

Ed Straker  . . .  "During a campaign event in New Hampshire today, Hillary Clinton was asked about the women who accused her husband of rape and sexual assault.
The woman pointed out how Clinton recently said all rape victims should be believed, and then asked, “Would you say that about Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and/or Paula Jones?”
Clinton responded by saying, “I would say that everybody should be believed at first until they are disbelieved based on evidence.”
"What does that mean, disbelieved based on the evidence?  What evidence is there that can exonerate Bill Clinton from these rape charges?  As I recall, Paula Jones accused the president of trying to force her to give him oral sex.  Kathleen Willey said that Mr. Clinton fondled her breasts and placed her hands on his genitals.  Juanita Broaddrick said that Mr. Clinton forced her down on a bed, bit her lip, and raped her.
What evidence is there that can disprove these claims?"

"Exit question: Which do you think is more likely, that Hillary is lying to protect her husband or telling the truth to protect her husband?"

Terrorist Pledged Allegiance to ISIS But It’s Believed to Be Workplace Violence
syed-and-wife-malik-575x365

. . . "A federal official said Farook has “overseas communications and associations,” but it’s not yet clear how relevant they are to the shootings. “We don’t know yet what they mean,” the official said, according to CNN in the same article. If so, why are they focusing on workplace violence?
The administration is going to make an obvious case of terror tied to ISIS into a workplace violence incident if they can. They drop their propaganda in the newspapers before they come up with their foregone conclusion.

"FBI official David Bowdich said on Thursday that “it would be irresponsible and premature for me to call this terrorism.” Authorities also haven’t ruled out what President Barack Obama called “mixed motives,” meaning that Islamic radicalism and workplace grievances both could have driven the attack.
The attack was planned in advance and their baby was dropped off to a relative’s house at 9 am, not after Farook became angry at the Christmas party. Everyone is ignoring the fact that this was a Christmas party in a government building and he killed infidels." . . .

"Struggling to offer an alternative explanation for the obvious conclusion of terrorism, CNN’s Erin Burnett on Thursday wondered if one of the killers from Wednesday’s rampage snapped as a result of “postpartum psychosis.” This was after two former FBI agents explained to Burnett just how Tashfeen Malik was radicalized." . . .

Obama Jumps Gun, Blames Second Amendment For Calif. Terrorism   . . . "Last month, another bearded Muslim carried out his own jihad in Northern California with nothing more than a 10-inch hunting knife.

"Faisal Mohammad had no gun and didn't go on a shooting spree. He instead went on a stabbing spree, trying to behead people on the campus of the University of California in Merced. He ended up slashing and stabbing four people before police caught up to him and shot him dead. He might have been stopped sooner had the area not been a gun-free zone." . . .

"Many on the Left were devastated Wednesday when it turned out that the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California did not (as originally reported) happen at a Planned Parenthood clinic, nor was it perpetrated by "three white men."

"Rather, the horrendous slaughter was committed by "devout Muslim" Syed Farook and his wife,Tashfeen Malik, who are believed to have been in communication with individuals under investigation for international terrorism. Additionally, the couple's home has been described by authorities as a virtual "IED factory" for producing bombs.

"Even Barack Obama is having trouble calling this "workplace violence," as much as he desperately wants to. In the face of overwhelming evidence, he grudgingly admits that the shooters may have had "mixed" motives.

"We can only speculate at this point, but it seems clear that this couple - and an unknown number of others - had spent considerable time preparing to commit a massacre. Had it not been this "workplace" party, it would likely have been a mall, a church, a school, or some other soft target.

"Our thoughts go out to the victims and their families, and we hope (but don't expect) that this terrible incident can finally inspire serious policy discussions about radical Islamic terror within our borders."

If our liberals ruled Israel...

This man who stopped the Muslim attacker would have been unarmed:

AP/Amarillo Globe-News, Michael Schumacher

. . . "WaPo points to a study by Mother Jones that claims that high-profile shootings began increasing in gun-free zones in late 2011/early 2012. The examples Mother Jones provides are the Aurora movie theater, Sandy Hook Elementary, and the D.C. Navy Yard, all of which were gun-free zones.
"Other examples of shootings in gun-free zones that could have been cited are Arapahoe High School (December 2013), Fort Hood (April 2014), Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church (June 2015), Chattanooga military offices (July 2015), the Lafayette Grand Theatre (July 2015), and Umpqua Community College (October 1).
"Increases in gun ownership correlated with drastic reductions in firearm-related homicides, but creating zones where law-abiding citizens are denied the ability to be armed for self-defense have allowed high-profile attackers to find easy targets."

. . . "Serious question for gun control advocates: If radical Islamist terrorists aren't deterred by laws against murder and bomb-making, in what way would tighter gun laws stand in their way? The primary San Bernadino shooter was a US citizen and government employee with a clean record. The guns used were purchased legally.  . . . Reports indicate that police didn't arrive on the scene after until the bloodbath was over.  If you're advocating an unconstitutional, impractical confiscation regime, please say so."

Obama Plans Executive Action On Gun Control; White House Admits It Will Not Prevent Mass Shootings
" . . .“But you just acknowledged that his proposal wouldn’t have done anything to prevent this incident,” Karl replied
"Earnest then again claimed ”we are talking about future incidents,” and added that there are “too many members of Congress that are terrified of the NRA.”

"The reporter still didn’t let up, asking “What is the relevance to what happened in San Bernardino if the provisions you are talking about, as you acknowledged, would have done nothing to prevent this shooting? Why is it part of this discussion?' ” . . .

Report: San Bernardino Shooter Passed DHS Counterterrorism Vetting

Joel Gehrke  . . . "CBS reports that one of the shooting suspects passed the Department of Homeland Security’s “counterterrorism screening as part of her vetting” for a visa. Federal officials maintain that they have a rigorous and effective screening process in place for people from countries such as Syria that have significant jihadist movements, making the immigration records of the San Bernardino shooters a potentially significant piece of the debate over refugee policy.

“We are dealing with an enemy that has shown it is not
only capable of bypassing U.S. screening, but of recruiting and radicalizing Muslim migrants after their entry to the United States,” Cruz and Sessions wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Secretary of State John Kerry, and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Photos from the scene at San Bernardino

Apparently the memo went out for the media to use the word "rampage".

Mass shooting at Inland Regional Center: What we know
. . .  "We know there were two shooters: A U.S. citizen named Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, who was an inspector with the county health department that hosted the party, and his wife, 27-year-old Tashfeen Malik. They died hours later in a shootout with police.
"Was there a connection to terrorist groups? Law enforcement sources say Farook had been in contact with more than one person who had been the subject of an international terrorism investigation by the FBI.
"For now, here is what we know and don't know about the deadliest mass shooting in the United States since December 2012, when 26 people, mostly children, died at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut:" . . .
San Bernardino: A horror that affects us all  The solution given here is gun control.
Two women embrace at a community center where family members were gathering to pick up people from the scene.

"People who were inside the Inland Regional Center during Wednesday’s attack put their lives in the hands of an officer who led them to safety, a video shows."

Is this one of the "pigs in a blanket" that Black lives matter people were chanting about?  See the small child with his hands up? Islamic radicals would think nothing of killing him, just as the Sandy Hook beast would have.
