"On Friday afternoon, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announced that he is suspending his campaign and endorsing Donald Trump. In a speech that lasted over 45 minutes, he explained his rationale for dropping out, how he wants to help Trump, and what he hopes his legacy will be. 

"It was a powerful, epic speech, and even though conservatives have plenty to disagree with RFK over, his idea of a unity campaign with Trump, combined with his desire to make America healthy again, is admirable.

"Here's the speech in its entirety. Forgive me if there are errors; I tried to catch them all.

Each time that our volunteers turned in those towering boxes of signatures needed to get on the ballot, the DNC dragged us into court, state after state, attempting to erase their work and to subvert the will of the voters who had signed those petitions. It deployed DNC-aligned judges to throw me and other candidates off the ballot and to throw President Trump in jail.

It ran a sham primary that was rigged to prevent any serious challenge to President Biden. Then, when a predictably bungled debate performance precipitated the palace coup against President Biden, the same shadowy DNC operatives appointed his successor, also without an election.

They installed a candidate who was so unpopular with voters that she dropped out in 2020 without winning a single delegate. My uncle and my father both relished debate. They prided themselves on their capacity to go toe to toe with any opponent in the battle over ideas.

They would be astonished to learn of a Democratic Party presidential nominee who, like Vice President Harris, has not appeared in a single interview or an unscripted encounter with voters for 35 days. This is profoundly undemocratic. How are people to choose when they don't know whom they are choosing, and how can this look to the rest of the world?

My father and my uncle were always conscious of America's image abroad because of our nation's role as the template for democracy, a role model for democratic processes, and the leader of the free world. Instead of showing us her substance and character, the DNC and its media organs engineered a surge of popularity for Vice President Harris based upon, well, nothing.

No policies, no interviews, no debates, only smoke and mirrors and balloons in a highly produced Chicago circus. There in Chicago, a string of Democratic speakers mentioned Donald Trump 147 times just on the first day." . . .

"You knew it was likely to be bad when they had to pull a "bait and switch" to keep people in the seats to hear her, saying there was going to be a special guest appearing, with CNN and others suggesting it was Beyoncé. But then the special guest turned out to be Harris herself. What a letdown. But you know that they don't think much of what they have to present when they have to play games and gaslight people like that. 

"Bottom line? They're lying because they know what they really think/believe would never go over with the American people. 

"But she had a couple of lines that had a lot of people talking — just not for the reasons she would have liked. This was such a bunch of nonsense.

. . ."It's worth reminding that the results from a poll from YouGov/Times of London just after Biden ended up dropping out of the race are particularly damning to Harris. A whopping 92 percent believe Harris was at least a little bit involved, with 68 percent saying she was involved "a great deal," 17 percent saying "somewhat," and 7 percent saying "a little." Majorities of every demographic believe Harris was at least "a little" bit involved. ". . .

Anti-Israel National Union Has Taken Hold at College Campuses, UChicago Lawsuit Reveals

"When the anti-Israel campus protests broke out last year, they had the support of an ally whose role until recently has been largely overlooked: graduate student unions. These unions are a growing presence at both public and private universities. And now, they’re defendants in a University of Chicago lawsuit brought by the outraged students who are forced to fund them, whether they agree with their antisemitic rhetoric or not.

"Academic unions aren’t like traditional trade groups pushing for higher wages, shorter hours, and better working conditions. They’re a new breed—an affiliation of graduate student unions with a “parent,” frequently the national United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE), a radical group known for its anti-Israel activism.

"At Legal Insurrection, we’ve been keeping tabs on UE since it first endorsed a “boycott, divest, and sanction” (BDS) campaign against Israel in 2015. More recently, when Cornell graduate students voted to federate under UE, Prof. Jacobson warned that the new alliance meant trouble: “On a campus wracked with anti-Israel activism and antisemitic invective, the connection to an anti-Israel national union raises concerns of a renewed BDS effort,” he wrote. In fact, UE has repeatedly called for the “union at all levels to become engaged in BDS.”

"Graduate students weren’t always unionized, of course, and it’s not obvious how they fit into the “labor” mold. True, they work as research assistants and teaching assistants, but that work is incidental to their academic pursuit.

"How did these doctoral candidates become UE labor union brothers?". . .

"Harris announced Wednesday that she would institute a “federal ban on price gouging on food and groceries” as president in an attempt to stop “big corporations” from taking advantage of consumers, and outlets like the Washington Post, CNN, and Newsweek published reports shredding the idea.

" 'Whether the Harris proposal wins over voters remains to be seen, but if sound economic analysis still matters, it won’t,” the liberal-leaning Washington Post editorial board wrote on Friday.

"On Wednesday, Fox News and The Jerusalem Post ran stories based on a report from Kuwait’s Al-Jarida newspaper claiming that the U.S. had revealed to Iranian authorities the identities of 10 Mossad agents in Iran who allegedly were involved in the July 31 assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

"Al-Jarida claimed its report was based on information provided by a member of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. The alleged source told the Kuwaiti paper that U.S. officials had visited Iran secretly after the assassination with the goal of appeasing the regime. They told their Iranian counterparts that Israel had not informed them of its plans to kill Haniyeh and proceeded to provide them with the Mossad agents’ identities.

"On Thursday, Fox News deleted the story and the Post updated its report. The updated article led with the news that the U.S. National Security Council denied the Kuwaiti story.

"On Wednesday night, I shared the Post report on my X account. My post received well over one million views. Following the Post’s publication of its revision and Fox’s deletion of its initial report, I deleted my post and shared the Post’s revised story.

JNS poll: Israelis like Kamala Harris less than they liked Joe Biden

"Kamala Harris against former President Donald Trump, Harris enjoys the support of a 28% of Israelis to Trump’s 64%, with 9% of Israelis professing to have no opinion. 

"In a JNS/Direct Polls survey of Israelis carried out on July 9, 34% of respondents supported Biden to 55% for Donald Trump and 11% had no opinion.

In this week’s poll, Harris has virtually no support among Israelis aged 18-29; 93% support Trump compared to a 7% for the vice president. All age groups support Trump against Harris by well over 50 points except seniors. Israelis 65 and over are tied with 43% supporting each candidate and 14% undecided.

"With the U.S. pushing Israel to avoid taking action against Iran or Hezbollah in Lebanon that risks intensifying the regional war, JNS/Direct Polls asked Israelis a series of questions about how they assess the Biden-Harris administration’s commitment to Israel’s security and how they feel about defying the administration’s wishes on a series of pressing issues.
