De Blasio’s “Contract for Communism”

. . . "Red Bill de Blasio just unveiled a 13-point national “Progressive Agenda” that is being touted as the liberal “Contract with America.” It more closely resembles a “Contract for Communism.”

"And a majority of Democrats wholeheartedly approve this as the basis for the “Progressive Agenda” – the bedrock for their primary economic policies and the running platform for their anointed 2016 presidential candidate. The mask is coming off… they are going full bore Marxist/Communist and are proud of it. Members of Congress are praising de Blasio for uniting Progressives.

"Rev. Al Sharpton stated that the shared goals of Progressives are more important than each individual leader’s specific opinions – how very communist of the Reverend:

“ 'We don’t agree on everything but we agree that we have to deal with income inequality and wages and how we get there,” he said. “We can’t debate that America has to be fair for everybody. We can’t debate that the billionaires are playing games with us and treating us like hamsters on a treadmill rather than people that are focused on the goal line. We will change the debate starting today.”

"Comrade Sharpton waxes poetic for the communist agenda. Is anyone surprised that the weasel who is vocally advocating for the nationalization of our police forces stands on a communist perch worthy of Lenin?

"De Blasio comparing this to the Republican Party’s 1994 “Contract with America” only holds up if you consider it the very antithesis to such a political platform. But it certainly does lay bare their wealth redistribution and class realignment goals." . . .  By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Obama Victory Celebration Displays Communist Flag

Intrusive EPA Grants Itself Power To Regulate Ponds, Ditches, And Puddles…

Who at the EPA was like, “Hey guys! Let’s grant ourselves power to regulate ponds…and also ditches and puddles!!” Who thinks of these things?

Via Daily Caller:

The EPA has released its Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule critics say would allow the agency to regulate waterways previously not under federal jurisdiction, including puddles, ditches and isolated wetlands.

Republicans, farmers and industrial groups have called the rule an EPA “power grab” because it extends the agency’s powers to new heights. Environmentalists and the Obama administration, however, argue the WOTUS rule is necessary for protecting water quality.

No matter how you spin it, the EPA’s WOTUS rule does expand the agency’s authority, and creates new avenues for environmental groups to sue projects they want to stop from moving forward.

“The administration’s decree to unilaterally expand federal authority is a raw and tyrannical power grab that will crush jobs,” House Speaker John Boehner said in a statement.

“Despite their assurances, it appears that EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have failed to keep their promises to Congress and the American people,” echoed Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe. “In fact, instead of fixing the overreach in the proposed rule, remarkably, EPA has made it even broader.”

Farmers and industry groups worry the new WOTUS rule will expand EPA reach over isolated wetlands, ponds and ditches that have a “significant nexus” to navigable waters — a vague standard employed by the EPA to regulate bodies of water.

Fiorina: ‘Titles Are Just Titles,’ Hillary’s ‘Track Record’ Is Middle East Collapse and the Russian Reset

. . . "Fiorina said that while Hillary Clinton has said some “wonderful things” as Secretary of State, “it’s also true that as Secretary of State she took women’s rights and human rights off the table for discussion with China. It’s also true as Secretary of State that she called Bashar al-Assad a positive reformer. It’s also true that in 2011, when she was Secretary of State, she said that Iraq was a free, stable, sovereign nation. And now we have a nation falling apart, Iranian influence growing, ISIS growing. It’s true that she said that she could reset our Russia — our relationship with Russia and Vladimir Putin is on the march. So, I think all of those things I just named go fundamentally to what is her track record.”

"After host Andrea Mitchell stated, “You could also argue that a lot of Republicans in the White House and in Congress supported those policies –” Fiorina responded, “absolutely, that’s right. And by the way, every single Republican candidate has been asked about their vote for the war in Iraq. The one person who’s not been asked that question, because she won’t answer the question is Hillary Clinton. One person who was on the job in 2011, when Iraq started to fall apart, was not the Republican nominees or — candidates for president, it’s Hillary Clinton. she hasn’t been asked yet. What would she do now in Iraq?”

"Fiorina then outlined her ISIS strategy, saying, “I would do very specific things. First, instead of having a Camp David conference to talk our Arab allies into a bad deal with Iran, I would have had a Camp David conference to talk with our Arab allies about how we can support them to fight ISIS." . . .

The Iraq War Question: A Suggestion to Republican Candidates

Before saying exactly what the Democrats want to hear, Republicans might consider whether the decision itself to make war was the actual blunder.

 Peter Nichols
Is it really wise to concede effectively that the Democrats have been right since they switched from supporting the 2002 Use of Military Force Authorization to “Bush lied, kids died”?  Do Republican candidates not thereby set up Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy argument?  The Republicans now admit that they led us into an awful blunder, the full consequences of which we are only just seeing, and yet they want another chance to conduct the nation’s foreign policy!  Are you, the American people, going to give it to them?
. . . "The proper Republican answer to the question “Would you have gone into Iraq knowing what you know now?” is yes.  Yes, because the enemy breached the terms on which hostilities were ended in the previous war, and by which his regime was allowed to continue.  Yes, because the word of the United States must mean something.  Yes, because the world, “friend and foe alike,” must know that our word means something, and because that in itself is an absolute good and necessity. Coulter: RAMOS CAN STAY, BUT MATT LAUER HAS TO GO UPDATED!

UPDATED: "Offensive": Libraries Nationwide Did This To Ann Coulter's Book!
Updated Sat, May 30th   Notice the word "Offensive" in the library catalog.

Adios, America"Ann Coulter is back, more fearless than ever. In Adios, America she touches the third rail in American politics, attacking the immigration issue head-on and flying in the face of La Raza, the Democrats, a media determined to cover up immigrants’ crimes, churches that get paid by the government for their “charity,” and greedy Republican businessmen and campaign consultants—all of whom are profiting handsomely from mass immigration that’s tearing the country apart. Applying her trademark biting humor to the disaster that is U.S. immigration policy, Coulter proves that immigration is the most important issue facing America today."

Coming June 1st

Ann Coulter
. . . "Only Mexican-born Jorge Ramos would interview me on his Fusion network. Yay, Jorge!
"After a spellbinding interview, Ramos ended by asking this excellent question -- which I had suggested myself for all authors, most of whom write very boring books, harming the marketability of my own books: "Is there anything in your book that isn't already generally known?"

"My soon-to-be-released book, "Adios, America! The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole," is jam-packed with facts you didn't already know. Don't even think of using it as a coaster, like those other books.

"These are just a few:

-- Teddy Kennedy's 1965 Immigration Act was expressly designed to change the demographics of our country to be poorer and more inclined to vote Democratic.
-- It worked! Post-1970 immigrants vote 8-2 for the Democrats.
-- Citing this dramatic shift in the Democratic Party's fortunes, Democratic consultant Patrick Reddy called the 1965 Immigration Act "the Kennedy family's greatest gift to the Democratic Party."
-- Immigrants admitted before 1970 made more money, bought more houses and were more educated than Americans. The post-Kennedy immigrants are astronomically less-educated, poorer and more likely to be on welfare than the native population.
-- With no welfare state to support them, about a third of pre-1965 Act immigrants returned to the places they came from. British and Jewish immigrants were the least likely to go home -- less than 10 percent did.
-- Although America is admitting more immigrants, they are coming from fewer countries than they did before 1970. On liberals' own terms, the country is becoming less "diverse," but a lot poorer and a lot more Latin.
-- America has already taken in one-fourth of Mexico's entire population.
-- In 1970, there were almost no Nigerian immigrants in the United States. Our country is now home to more Nigerians than any country in the world except Nigeria.
-- America takes more immigrants from Nigeria than from England.
. . .
Summing up with this:
-- In 1980, Reagan won the biggest electoral landslide in history against an incumbent president, Jimmy Carter. Without the last 40 years of immigration, in 2012, Mitt Romney would have won a bigger landslide than Reagan did. He got more of the "Reagan coalition" than Reagan did.
-- If Romney had won 71 percent of the Hispanic vote, he still would have lost. If he'd gotten just 4 percent more of the white vote, he would have won.

"Adios, America! In bookstores next Monday, June 1."

White House Hits Back at Appeals Court After Immigration Ruling

Time   "The Obama Administration said it is weighing its options in the wake of an appeals court ruling that kept a block on the president’s executive action on immigration.

"On Tuesday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals refused to lift an injunction of the president’s action to grant millions of undocumented immigrants temporary reprieve from deportation.
Texas and twenty-five other states are suing the Obama administration over the president’s immigration plan, and a federal judge in Texas blocked the action temporarily in February." . . .

Fifth Circuit Upholds Injunction Against Obama’s Executive Amnesty

 obama waving

. . . "A three-judge panel of the Fifth Circuit today issued a split decision upholding the Texas judge’s injunction preventing Obama’s executive amnesty program from moving forward. The opinion itself upheld the injunction on fairly arcane (to non-lawyers) legal and procedural grounds; i.e., it did not decide or offer an opinion as to whether the Obama Administrations program was likely unlawful or not. Rather, it invalidated the program because the Administration failed to pass the program through the (mostly pro forma) “notice and comment” rulemaking process as governed by the Administrative Procedures Act – which essentially requires Federal agencies to post proposed new rules in the Federal Register, solicit comment from the public, and ultimately submit a regulatory impact statement and explanation of their decisionmaking procss with the final rule. Once an administrative rule has jumped through these hoops, it is very difficult to get it overturned." . . .

Stop unfairly asking what Hillary Clinton accomplished as Secretary of State

Hot Air  "The unfair treatment of Hillary Clinton, brought about simply because the poor woman wants to be President, simply has to stop. All of these pestering questions, one after another, are obviously signs of hatred from people who are jealous of her many accomplishments. Or at least that’s the current line of defense being taken by the Ready for Hillary camp these days. But what were those accomplishments again? As Legal Insurrection points out, that’s an unfair question which is only being brought up by the aforementioned haters.
Expecting a Commander in Chief to have some kind of accomplishments that show their qualifications before getting hired for the job is reasonable, right? Maybe, just not if those accomplishments happened while serving has the head of the State Department, according to U.S. News and World Report’s Susan Milligan.
On Hardball with Chris Matthews’ Milligan said the question posed to the Iowa Democratic panel was “unfair.”
“I think most people could not look at a Secretary of State and point to an accomplishment. Frankly, mostly what a Secretary of State does is keep something from becoming a massive crisis so, that in a way wasn’t a terribly fair question,” said Milligan.
"Chris Matthews helpfully agreed with Ms. Milligan, noting that Barack Obama didn’t really have any serious accomplishments to point to when he was elected either. Point taken, sir.

"There’s a video of the exchange available at the link and it’s pretty much what you’d expect. And for just a moment here I’ll play devil’s advocate and grant at least one portion of what Milligan was saying. It’s difficult to draw up a chart and point to the specific accomplishments of some cabinet members, with the State Department being a prime example. The job of the Secretary is designed to happen largely under the covers, and when they do make headlines it’s for arranging things which essentially lay the groundwork for the President to swoop in and finish the deal. The top diplomat can’t actually sign off on treaties or end wars… they can only grease the skids to make that happen.

"But with that said, powerful Secretaries of State leave their fingerprints on the process and their accomplishments – or lack thereof – are readily identified by historians. No matter how awful the Iran deal is, if it winds up going through and being signed, it will at least be considered an accomplishment of John Kerry. Madeleine Albright was credited with being a key figure in arranging the smooth transition of Hong Kong in 1997 and hammered out the specifics of numerous trade deals. We could begin a discussion on the contributions of Henry Kissinger here, but the article would quickly balloon to the size of an encyclopedia.

"Hillary Clinton finished a full term in the office and had nothing of substance to point to aside from boosting the previously sagging novelty RESET button manufacturing sector. (You’re welcome.) She burned enough jet fuel dashing around the world to balance the budget of Detroit, so it hardly seems “unfair” to ask her defenders to point to something… anything … that she has to show for it."

Mr. President, the Fall of Ramadi Is Much More than a ‘Setback’

Michael Ramirez Cartoon

NRO. . . "Administration officials, including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the president’s spokesman, have tried to minimize the May 17 fall of Ramadi as nothing more than a “setback.” But, having served in al-Anbar with the Marines, I recognize the loss of this key city for what it really is: a defeat of strategic consequence with potentially catastrophic implications for the future of Iraq."

"Other writers have rightly pointed to the symbolic importance of Ramadi, where hundreds of U.S. troops were killed in a hard-fought battle to recapture the city from insurgent forces nearly a decade ago. But let’s set aside the symbolism and look at the hard facts about why Ramadi matters today." . . .

Cold Comfort

"In his Memorial Day remarks, Barack Obama cited the special significance of the fact that it was the first such day in 14 years that the United States was not engaged in a major ground war. If by "not engaged" you mean ignoring the thousands of US troops still at risk in Afghanistan and Iraq, and your definition of "major" ground wars doesn't apply to head-lopping JV teams like ISIS.

"Still, by almost any definition the president seems to be ignoring a pretty major ground war right here at home. Over this holiday weekend, shootings in just two Democrat-controlled American cities racked up horrifying body counts which didn't appear on the presidential radar: in Chicago, 12 dead and 43 wounded. In Baltimore, 9 dead and 29 wounded.

"Unfortunately for the victims, none of them was shot by a police officer - which is why Al Sharpton isn't marching in the streets, the DOJ isn't launching any major investigations into lost civil rights (breathing doesn't count), and Barry isn't even bothering to tweet #BlackLivesMatter on his precious new Twitter account.

"The president has previously suggested that much of the violence plaguing our inner cities can be blamed on policing which is "oppressive" to minorities. Which is why he's been so vocal about pushing a new, "softer" look for police and their policies.

"Frankly, we think he should instead be pushing for softer sidewalks, since that's where so many bodies seem to be falling."

Baltimore Cop: Spike in Crime Due To Less Policing “Definitely a Result of the Indictment of the 6 Officers (Video)
