It’s time for Democrats to step up and call for an end to these protests

Hot Air  "It turns out the notion that “Love Trumps Hate” had a whole lot more violence involved in it than we were led to believe.
"President Obama, Secretary Clinton, Senator Sanders, Senator Reid and Senator Warren need to engage the anti-Trump protesters vandalizing the streets of Democratic Party-controlled cities and tell them to stop. Now.

"We’ve been told over the past election cycle that Hillary Clinton was virtually a born leader who was more prepared to lead this nation than any other American in history. Where is she?

"We’ve been told that President Obama is a transcendent figure who speaks for generational and demographic groups that have felt voiceless for our country’s entire existence. Why is he invisible?

"We’ve been told that Sanders and Warren and Reid represent the down-trodden and exploited masses who feel crushed by the results of this election and are searching for some level of positive hope in the despair of post-#ImWithHer depression. Where are they?" . . .

Kellyanne Tells Obama How to Get a Handle on Protests
. . . "One speech is not enough, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway insisted on Sunday's "Meet the Press." Both Obama and Clinton need to take action to tamp down on the growing protests across the country before they do anymore damage." . . .

Stop the H8: 5 Recent Examples of Anti-Trump Violence  . . . "At the same time, the lib-media is largely ignoring the actual beatdowns Trump supporters are suffering at the hands of their "peaceful" fellow travelers. Sure, local news outlets dutifully report each individual incident, but the MSM refuses to link them all together because the narrative that would emerge would be entirely unhelpful to the progressive agenda." . . .

Cleaning Up Obama’s Foreign Policy Mess

Abe Greenwald  . . . "In our democratic republic, we choose presidents who reflect the national mood, and they in turn lead a nation that becomes a reflection of them. In 2008, Americans were tired of the war in Iraq and elected Barack Obama on his promise to end that war—but he had a far larger retreat in mind. Pursuing a staunchly progressive worldview, Obama would oversee the withdrawal of American power around the globe. Yet as his vision of a better world lost out to the reality of a much more treacherous one, he refused to change course. Responding to the new threats would have distilled for the country a new sense of national purpose—something Obama expressly feared. In exacerbating and then downplaying a rising global wave of theocratic and secular tyranny, the president has left our sense of national purpose in a shambles. And having done so, he will depart the White House with the free world at great risk." . . .

The theory that Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote.

"So my prediction is that when all of the votes are counted, we're going to find that a significant number of illegal immigrants voted. I wouldn't be surprised if the number is as high as two million illegal immigrants...."Ann Althouse
Why do you think Obama was naturalizing thousands of illegals in a hurry the month before the election?

Althouse  . . . "They're trying to tell us that some states still haven't been called and we're gonna end up winning, they say, the popular vote by a significant number of votes, which they are going to try to say delegitimizes Trump's presidency, and they're going to use that to try to deny every Trump policy initiative on the basis that in terms of the population of the country, he was rejected. So we need to get rid of the Electoral College and all this.

"I don't think that's gonna hold up.... It's gonna be awhile before we actually have the total vote count. And the reason for that is that the Obama forces are still out there trying to massage the results so that they can get this popular vote majority that they want...."

Blocks Of Anti-Trump Protest Buses Caught On Tape

Zero Hedge  "Earlier today we showed that, contrary to USA Today's claims that the anti-Trump protests across the nation are "spontaneous, involving people from all walks of life", according to Wikileaks documents at least two of the people profiled by USA Today have a history of being professional agitators for the Democratic party, whose task is to stir up popular protests and - in extreme cases - unleash rioting, such as the following clip [in the article]showing the latest day of violent protests in Portland revealed."

Now, courtesy of a Zero Hedge reader, we have visual confirmation of how a substantial portion of these professional, paid protesters arrive at the site of the protest, in this case Chicago.

"As our reader notes, "I have a video of 5 city blocks on the West side of Chicago lined with busses from Wisconsin (Badger Bus Lines) bringing in protestors. The Sears tower is visible in the background."

"The video was taken at 3:30 pm on South Canal Street in Chicago on Saturday.

As our reader points out, hundreds of the participants that took part in the downtown Chicago protests from November 12 were bused in using these vehicles. Other[s] arrived by train."

The insanity of Leftists on Trump’s win

Bloviating Zeppelin  "This video is almost too much to watch all the way through. But it’s illustrative of the length to which some people will go to demonize conservatives, the GOP or anyone who isn’t a Demorat."

. . . "Concurrently, there have been overt Donald Trump assassination advocates on social media, to include Twitter, who have attached their names to their threats. Some of the ones I encountered were forwarded, rightly so, to the US Secret Service. Others include:

. . . "This is but a brief smattering of what you’ll find on the internet: the outright advocacy of Trump’s assassination.
"Riots began in Oakland following Trump’s election and they have continued nightly throughout the Big City Rat Cages run by Demorats and, now, raided by organized and well-funded Leftists. Paid to riot and destroy."

The tantrums in American streets

Political Cartoons by Gary McCoy

Anti-Trump Riots: I’ve Seen It Before – Twice! . . . "When dealing with children, a prompt and meaningful response is essential. Does this mean they should be locked up? Of course not. If we locked up the rioters that would only mean that we would support them in prison instead of at college. Either way it’s money coming out of our pockets that relieves them of the responsibility of being able to support themselves. The penalty for rioting while you are going to college on the government’s dime shouldn’t be prison, but it might be the equivalent to cutting off their allowance. In other words, if they have financial support in some form or other whether as some sort of tuition subsidy or welfare, after being found guilty I believe a more immediate and lasting lesson would be learned by saying, “You better learn to pay your own tuition bills, because the government isn’t going to support you anymore.” . . .

Political Cartoons by Henry Payne
. . . "And though the numbers at these protests don’t appear to be overly large, the intensity of them appears to make up some of the difference. In Seattle, violence was in the air both in the rhetoric of the speakers practicing street theater and in the literal sense, as four people were shot. In Chicago, a man was beaten and his car stolen for having manifested himself as a Donald Trump supporter. In New York, street theater turned threatening as hundreds surrounded Trump’s home at Trump Tower — more than a dozen arrested. Some 40 fires were started and three police officers were injured from Molotov Cocktail-hurling thugs in Oakland. Los Angeles police arrested 28 people attempting to block an interstate highway. Even the Hard-Left local government of Portland, Oregon termed the protests a riot after the orgy of property destruction unleashed there." . . .

"But right now, at least some liberals are considering literally ending ties with relatives—including not letting grandparents see their grandkids!—over a vote for Trump."
The Daily Signal . . . "Again: What? What are the rights that supposedly Trump is going to take away? We’ve been living in a country where, as The Weekly Standard’s Mark Hemingway tweeted, “Obama did sue nuns over birth control for crying out loud,” where religious bakers and florists have been told they have to participate in same-sex weddings, where an African-American fire chief lost his job over a book he wrote about his religious beliefs that included passages on same-sex marriage, and yet, the real threat to rights is from Trump?" . . .

I say much of this legacy of vitriol can be linked to Obama and his mentors . . .

. . . and George Soros.

Soros-fronted orgs among groups calling for anti-Trump protests
“Tonight, thousands of Americans will come together at hundreds of peaceful gatherings in cities and towns across the nation, including outside the White House, following the results of Tuesday’s presidential election.”
“The gatherings—organized by MoveOn.org and allies—will affirm a continued rejection of Donald Trump’s bigotry, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and misogyny and demonstrate our resolve to fight together for the America we still believe is possible,” the statement continued."
. . . "In an article from 2004, the Washington Post revealed that Soros and his wife, Susan Weber Soros, gave $1.46 million to Move.On.org.
"In 2014, a data analytics company called Catalist, specializing in progressive causes, received a new round of investment funding, including $2.25 million from liberal billionaire George Soros, CNN reported at the time."

On the Electoral College: UPDATED

"The case against America’s idiosyncratic election system isn’t as simple as you think."
Four Theses on the Electoral College  . . . "Democrats are seething at having lost the presidency while winning the popular vote for the second time in the twenty-first century. Liberal media outlets are publishing a flurry of pieces attacking America’s allegedly antiquated system for electing its presidents, and social media is abuzz with petitions to replace it with a national popular vote system. This reaction is understandable: Our democratic instincts tells us that all votes should count exactly equally, and that the person who gets the most total votes should win.
"But the case against James Madison’s original design isn’t quite that simple. Here are four points that liberals upset with the outcome might weigh against the visceral indignation of an electoral-popular vote split." . . .

You should know the above map was prior to the election and contained this:

Hillary wins the popular vote – not  . . . "But the Electoral College brilliantly smooths out the variances in the voting proclivities among states and regions.  Farmers in the middle of the country and importers and exporters on the shore get roughly equal say, as do Madison Ave. execs and factory workers in Tennessee.

"Shortcomings?  Sure.  The E.C. can make an R vote meaningless in a very few heavily D states or vice versa.  But without the Electoral College, the country’s entire population is subject to the disproportionate voting preferences of the few most populous states."

NRO: Why We Have an Electoral College  . . . "Every state gets one electoral vote for each of its congressional representatives. This means that the larger states have more say in electing a president, but no state has no say — each, no matter how sparsely populated, gets at least three votes, one for the minimum congressman-at-large and one for each senator." . . .

"There have been countless stories, news clips, soc media vids etc of liberals whining and complaining about the electoral system. It’s very existence is to prevent what these sore losers are demanding, mob rule. If the electoral college was not in place a handful of states would decide elections for the entire nation. Do you want New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Illinois, California or even Texas deciding who the next President is? If democrats and all the snowflakes, participating in Soros organized protests coast-to-coast, were to get their way that is exactly what will happen!"

NY Times: Sorry not sorry for biased reporting  "Apparently the NY Times is reeling from its abysmal, over-the-top, foaming-at-the-mouth anti-Trump “news” coverage.

Who will be Trump's chief of staff? Kellyanne Conway says the announcement of The Donald's assistant is 'imminent'

UK Daily Mail  . . . "Conway told reporters late Saturday night that there are 'several people being considered' for the position, according to ABC News.
"But, she added, 'it's Mr Trump's decision ultimately'.
"She said that she thinks 'Reince Priebus has expressed interest in the position' as well.

. . . "Trump ran as an outsider, but some suggest it would be risky to tap another outsider to serve as his right hand in the Oval Office.
" 'I'm trying to think of who was successful as chief of staff as an outsider and I can't think of one,' said John H. Sununu, the former New Hampshire governor who served as chief of staff for the first three years of former President George H.W. Bush's administration."

Trump and the military

Inside the mind of Trump's national security guru   . . . "If Flynn is Trump's national security advisor or secretary of defense we can expect him to push for a closer relationship with the Russians; a punitive policy on Iran -- and a more aggressive war on Islamist militants around the world. These views mesh well with what we have heard from Donald Trump on the campaign trail.
"Such new policies, however, come with real risks: Warmer relations with the Russians might encourage Putin's adventurism in Eastern Europe . . ."
Bear in mind, this source is the openly anti-Trump CNN.
