McCarthyism Reigns as Miss America Contestants Urged to Blast Trump
"Miss North Dakota, Cara Mund, answered the Trump-hating question “correctly,” and she is now Miss America." . . .
Nancy Hayes "More people would watch these events IF they weren’t politicized by the MSM or the liberal left. These young women were grilled on Trump’s policies. Miss America was one downright nasty or one big Trump bashing party."
. . .
"Though the annual Miss America pageant Sunday night contained a lot of anti-Trump nonsense, as does anything connected to entertainment these days, one patriotic contestant managed to sneak a very unexpected but much appreciated defense of President Donald Trump into the show."
That contestant was Miss Missouri, Jennifer Davis, who defended the president when asked about the ongoing investigation about his campaign allegedly colluding with the Russians last year to disrupt the 2016 presidential election.
“ 'There are multiple investigations into whether Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia on the election — well, did they?” judge Jordin Sparks asked, as reported by The Washington Post. “You’re the jury: guilty or innocent? And please explain your verdict.”
"To be clear, Sparks isn’t the typical entertainment world airhead. Her outspoken Christian beliefs have been evident since she burst onto the scene on “American Idol” in 2007, and she made a name for herself in evangelical circles before that performing at pro-life events."

“Right now, I have to say innocent, because not enough information has been revealed,” she replied. “We are still investigating this, (major clapping from the audience) and I think we should investigate it to its fullest extent. If we do find the evidence that they have had collusion with Russia, the justice system should do their due diligence and they should be punished accordingly.”
"And as The Daily Wire pointed out, the crowd cheered while she was giving her answer.
