Rep. Luna Warns Hate Towards Republicans Will 'Get Someone Killed' as She Reports Receiving Threats

It has always been a tactic of the left; in the seventies, I recall many evacuations while working at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear power plant in California due to Mothers For Peace (and disgruntled workers). TD

Gloriel Howard (resistthemainstream.com)

“When you label people a threat to democracy and attempt to dehumanize/lie about them, violence occurs,” she wrote, sharing that she is a new mother, a veteran and “the first Mexican American elected to Congress from Florida,” which she said is in alignment with all of the left’s values.

"Luna, who is an outspoken ally of former President Donald Trump, did not go into details about the threat but insisted that she would not be “threatened” or “intimidated.”

" 'I will not be threatened, intimidated, or bow down to those using violence as a means to push their agenda. We will win,” she wrote.

"The reported bomb threat against Luna follows two assassination attempts on Trump and a reported bomb threat close to his Long Island rally location, which is supposed to take place Wednesday evening. Authorities have stated that the bomb threat near Trump was a false alarm." . . .

Elon Musk Punches Back After Gavin Newsom Signs Bill Making Memes, Parody ‘Illegal’ in California

California does love its warning labels. What did Democrats say about Trump destroying democracy? What did Rachel Maddow say about her being put in a camp?

Libs of TikTok on X:

I just signed a bill to make this illegal in the state of California. You can no longer knowingly distribute an ad or other election communications that contain materially deceptive content -- including deepfakes. x.com/GavinNewsom Deceptive content? What about MSNBC?

"Musk had posted this mockery ad back in July, and Newsom immediately had problems with it.

"Now, Newsom is back in the spotlight after signing AB-2655; a bill intended to “combat deepfake election content” like the so-called example Musk had posted.

“ 'Governor Gavin Newsom today signed three measures to remove deceptive content from large online platforms, increase accountability, and better inform voters,” the California Democrat’s website reads.

"AB-2655 “requires large online platforms to remove or label deceptive and digitally altered or created content related to elections during specified periods,” per the site."

UPDATE: Creator of Kamala Harris parody video sues California over 'deepfake' law - Breitbart  "A video creator is suing the State of California for a new law labeling the use of “deepfake” artificial intelligence political ads that banned his parody of Vice President Kamala Harris saying she was the “ultimate diversity hire.”

"Christopher Kohls said his First and 14th Amendment rights were violated when Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the anti-deepfake measure into law on Tuesday. He claims the law effectively banned his Harris video, which had drawn controversy since he first posted it over the summer." . . .

Don Lemon Mocks Melania Trump's Assassination Attempt Video, Gets Eviscerated in Replies

 Ward Clark – RedState

"Shortly after the video was released, Lemon shared his own video with his reaction that was superimposed over the former first lady’s video."

Libs of TikTok on X

"If we were to postulate a spectrum of human behavior, with "Consummate Class Act" on the right side and "Complete Hateful Sack-O-Crap" on the left, then we could safely place Melania Trump on the right end and Don Lemon on the left. Don Lemon has proved that he deserves the status on any number of occasions, but none are more childish and petulant than his recent eye-rolling, grimacing, disgraceful commentary on a video Mrs. Trump released raising questions about the recent assassination attempt on her husband.

On his multiple social media accounts this week, Lemon shared a video of himself making confused and frustrated faces in reaction to Melania Trump’s clip, during which she called the attempt on former President Trump's life on July 13 "horrible" and "distressing," and added that there is "more to the story." One of Trump's supporters, Corey Comperatore, was killed in the shooting.

X users blasted Lemon for mocking Melania sharing her views on her husband almost being assassinated, with one critic saying his comments were "sick."

"Sick doesn't cover it. Consider the context here. This is a woman who saw her husband shot. She has, by the way, more class in the last joint in her left pinkie finger than Don Lemon has in his entire body, along with the bodies of his parents, his grandparents, and his first and maybe second cousins. Her husband, former President Donald Trump, escaped having his brains blown out by literally a whisker — and Don Lemon is mocking her for raising questions about the incident."

You Don't Say? In March City Council Meeting, Springfield Residents Complained of Haitians Attacking Pets

Brad Slager
"Now, it cannot be stated that these instances are definitive proof, but at the same time, they counter the claims that Trump and Vance are basing claims on nothing at all."

. . ."We are in an era in which this country's legacy news media displays an abject lack of regard for their journalistic reputations. The current driving force in the press is to instantly oppose anything Donald Trump says and claim he has been proven wrong, even in the absence of proof. Over the past few weeks, this has been the prevailing narrative.

"Currently, the Springfield pets-being-eaten-by-immigrants imbroglio is the latest case the press is stumbling and fumbling over. Trump has been labeled as a racist and accused of fomenting intolerance over this “false” story, and it has even been cited as a possible inspiration for the latest assassination attempt on Trump. (Small matter that the attempted shooter is not Haitian, is not an immigrant, and did not hail from Springfield.) The press has been firm in its declaration that the story is disproven, including David Muir, who stated such a statement during the debate.

"Except…

"Gradually, and against the will of the media, details are seeping out of the area that something of this nature could be transpiring, or at the very least has been a concern for residents. What the press has failed to do is step back to take a breath and then consider for a moment just what might have been the source of such a story. If Trump is in fact making up the tale of devoured housepets, why would he concoct such a weird fable? Was there any basis at all for the claim from him, and his running mate J.D. Vance?

What First Amendment? Gavin Newsom Gets His Butt Handed to Him Over CA Law Outlawing Political Parody Ads

"Gavin Newsom is one of the frontrunners for 2028. Yeah, we know it's only 2024 but we also know the second November's election ends the next cycle begins. So it's important to pay attention to what guys like Newsom do today, because it tells us how they'd govern.  And in Gavin's case, he'd govern with zero regard for our First Amendment rights:

Cornell hate prof a stain on the academy, and fits right in

 Rich Lowry (nypost.com)

Cornell University professor Russel Rickford is back teaching at the school after calling the Oct. 7 attacks against Israel "exhilarating" last year.

"The remarkable thing about Russell Rickford is that there is nothing extraordinary about him.

"The Cornell University prof gained notoriety in the immediate aftermath of Oct. 7 by declaring that he found the terror attack “exhilarating.”

"He wasn’t specific about what was more exciting to him — the slaughter of hundreds of people at a music festival, including wounded people at point-blank range, the mass hostage-taking, the burning of people alive or the horrific sexual violence.

"For the committed anti-Zionist, there must be so many thrilling moments to choose from.

"Afterward, Rickford apologized for his “horrible choice of words.”

Sadly the remainder is behind a pay wall. It may do if you just know the man.

Exclusive | Cornell prof Russell Rickford, who lauded Hamas attack, back at school (nypost.com)  "The radical Cornell University prof who lauded the Hamas terror attack on Israel as “exhilarating” and “energizing” dodged any punishment and is now back teaching at the upstate Ivy League school.

"Shamed history Professor Russell Rickford was out for the past year on “voluntary leave” after widespread public outcry when he was recorded at an off-campus anti-Israel rally cheering Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, invasion that slaughtered 1,200 Israelis.

" 'It was exhilarating, it was energizing ….I was exhilarated,” Rickford said at the time — before apologizing for applauding the mass murder of innocent civilians." . . .

Exhilarated yet?

Watch your words; Hillary wants to crush you!

‘Troubling’: Crooked Hillary Clinton Demands Jail For Americans With Ideas She Doesn’t Like (Video) ⋆ Conservative Firing Line  "In a stunning revelation about how she would like to exercise a dictatorial control over Americans and their ideas, twice-failed Democrat presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has called for jail for those with ideas that differ from hers.

"In an interview she was addressing her concerns about those who were “boosting Trump back in 2016.”

" 'But I also think there are Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda. Uh. And whether they should be civilly or even in some cases criminally charged is something that would be a better deterrence….”

"Of course, back in 2016, it was her campaign that funded the creation of a long list of lies about then-candidate Donald Trump, called the Steele Dossier, which she and other Democrats then promoted to try to defeat the eventual GOP president." . . .

Clinton’s call for Americans to be criminally charged for “parrot[ing] Russian talking points” would apply to anyone who voiced opinions baselessly deemed to be Russian propaganda.

Naturally, Clinton found a welcoming partner in MSNBC's Rachel Maddow:

Hillary Clinton Demands that Americans be “Criminally Charged” for Free Speech › American Greatness (amgreatness.com)

The Left has resurrected its use of “Russia propaganda” as a talking point following the Department of Justice (DOJ) indictment of Tenet Media, a Canadian media company run by Lauren Chen and her husband Liam Donovan. In the indictment, it is alleged that Chen and Donovan were colluding with Russia’s state-controlled media outlet Russia Today (RT) to promote rhetoric that benefited Russia to their conservative audience, particularly with regards to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Right in Hillary's wheelhouse: Melania Trump Blasts FBI's Mar-a-Lago Raid: 'It Serves As a Warning to All Americans' – RedState

. . ."The Department of Justice's weaponization of lawfare under the Biden-Harris regime and Attorney General Merrick Garland has been a stain on our country and makes us look like a banana republic. The DOJ raided Trump's home and went through Melania's personal things over classified documents—while letting his rival Joe Biden walk away scot-free for his own and perhaps worse documents scandal. We've watched as the DOJ and even local prosecutors like Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Fulton County DA Fani Willis have made a mockery of our institutions.

"Good for Melania for calling it out. I hope she posts many more videos like this."

Rubicon Crossed: White House Doubles Down on Trump Being a 'Threat' After Latest Brush With Death

  Victoria Taft – PJ Media

"It was a display of gaslighting that I haven't seen since David Muir pretended to be a "moderator" and "fact checker" Trump in the last presidential debate."

"I can't recall anyone uttering anything this irresponsible from the White House podium. Ever.

"In the first White House presser since the latest attempt on former President Trump's life, Biden Administration spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre shockingly doubled down on vile, anti-Trump rhetoric that arguably led to yet another attempted assassination attempt.

"In a jujitsu of what she thinks passes for logic, Karine Jean-Pierre told the White House press corps that Trump was a threat to democracy. When Fox News White House reporter Peter Doocy challenged her, KJP told Doocy that his question was "dangerous." This is just hours after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House urged Americans to tone down the political rhetoric after Trump's brush with a would-be assassin on Sunday. "

Can we give ABC the Walter Duranty Award?

Referring to The Walter Duranty Prize for Journalistic Mendacity

. . ."The award is given to highlight egregious examples of dishonest reporting. Also awarded this year was the Rather, a new award for lifetime achievement in mendacious journalism.
The Duranty Prize is named after Walter Duranty, the New York Times Moscow corresponded in the 1920s and 1930s who whitewashed Joseph Stalin’s forced starvation of the Ukrainians (the Holodomor) and many other aspects of Soviet oppression. Duranty was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for his efforts. It has never been revoked." . . .

Now, on to my nomination for this award:  Tom Cotton scolds ABC News for 'outrageous' debate handling after new video surfaces: 'Beyond bias' (msn.com)    . . ."There are currently 900 U.S. military personnel in Syria, 2,500 U.S. troops in Iraq. All have been under regular threat from drones and missiles for months. We also have action in the Red Sea. Military experts reject Harris' claim of 'no US soldiers in combat zones' as misleading | Fox News   . . ."The Pentagon told Fox News Digital service that members are stationed in various dangerous locations but noted that those deployments are made by the Executive Branch and not due to wars declared by Congress.

"An aspect of military service includes serving in locations where hostile actions may occur," a Defense Official said. "Those locations are designated by executive order and/or the Secretary of Defense."

" 'However, it’s important to note that just because a service member is in one of these locations does not mean they are engaged in war," the official added. "The U.S. is not currently engaged in a war and does not have troops fighting in active war zones anywhere in the world." . . .

Brutal fact check on Kamala Harris delivered by American soldiers

CNN star slams own network for taking Trump's remarks out of context

UK Daily Mail   "CNN pundit Scott Jennings accused the network of allowing comments by Donald Trump to repeatedly be taken out of context to stoke fear and anger.

"The senior political commentator argued CNN has let the Kamala Harris mischaracterize comments by Trump in a way that is 'designed to radicalize' his critics.

"Jennings made the comments during a panel the day after an apparent second assassination on the former Republican president, who has claimed rhetoric by Democrats is putting him in danger.

"The pundit said that Trump's comments that 'there will be a bloodbath' in the economy if he loses the election are an example of how the left has misconstrued his comments to stoke fear.

"Multiple Trump critics ignored the fact that Trump was talking about a potential economic bloodbath and have claimed he was instead warning of violence erupting on America's streets.

"'It is said by every Democrat working for or around [Harris’] campaign every day on this network and every other one,' Jennings said.  'The bloodbath thing is stated every single day.'. . .

ABC’s David Muir takes hit to ratings after performance as debate moderator (msn.com)   . . . "A
BC News's David Muir experienced a decline in ratings in his flagship show after his controversial performance as one of the moderators of the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

"Muir was a debate moderator alongside Linsey Davis, frequently fact-checking Trump while failing to do so for Harris. Muir was criticized for disputing the former president's claim that crime was going up by countering with incomplete data and questioning whether he was being sarcastic or not in a previous interview. The flak Muir took from the experience appears to have taken a toll on his ratings." . . .

Hillary Clinton Stokes the Fires of Anti-Trump Demagoguery

 The American Spectator

"And who does Clinton blame for the assassination attempts on Trump? Why, Trump, of course. Hillary claims to have reacted in “horror” to the second assassination attempt on Trump, but blamed Trump for throwing “red meat out there to get people riled up.'
"The pain of losing out on being the first female American president must be too much to bear for Hillary Clinton. Back in 2016, she was assured by everyone — her political allies, her political enemies, the media, pollsters — that she was a shoo-in to become president. To a stunned Democratic Party, to a stunned Washington political establishment, to a stunned country, to a stunned world, and to a stunned Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump won the election. Thus began a series of political and legal moves, supported and reinforced by the media, to undermine the Trump presidency even before it began. These political and legal moves consumed the Trump presidency just as they have consumed Trump’s candidacy in the 2024 presidential contest. Clinton and her media allies repeatedly said that Trump was a threat to American democracy, a dictator in waiting, and a Hitler-like authoritarian. At least two men — Thomas Matthew Crooks and now Ryan Wesley Routh — apparently took these claims to heart and tried to kill the former president. Undeterred, Hillary Clinton, the day after the second assassination attempt on Trump, took to the airwaves on MSNBC to remind everyone that Trump is a “danger to our country and the world,” and called upon her media allies to present a “consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is.”
"Clinton is promoting her latest memoir, so her appearance on MSNBC also had greed as a motive. The Clintons are always willing to make a buck — which is fine — but Hillary couldn’t limit her remarks to promoting the book, she had to warn the country — presumably including future Thomas Crooks and Ryan Rouths — that “We can’t go back and give this very dangerous man another chance to do harm to our country and the world.”
"In an interview in 2017, Clinton called President Trump a “clear and present danger to our democracy, to our institutions, to the rule of law, to the civil rights and human rights of so many Americans.” So the narrative of Donald Trump as a threat to our democracy started shortly after the 2016 election.
"Though much is made about Trump’s claim that the 2020 election was stolen or rigged, Hillary Clinton expressed similar sentiments after her loss in the 2016 election — yet the media didn’t call her an “election denier.” According to the Washington Post, she even called Trump an “illegimate president.” The 2016 election, Hillary said in an interview on the Atlantic’s podcast, “was not on the level.” Trump, she said in 2020, was a “puppet of Putin.”

ABC’s David Muir Sees Rating Plunge Amid Debate Moderation Backlash

American Greatness (amgreatness.com)   "ABC’s “World News Tonight” has been experiencing a massive decline in ratings following widespread condemnation of host David Muir’s performance as a moderator during the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).

"According to the New York Post, “World News Tonight” averaged about 7.6 million viewers per night throughout most of 2024, prior to the debate on September 10th. In the first three episodes after the debate, the show averaged about 6.7 million viewers, amounting to a roughly 12% drop.

"Following the debate, President Trump has criticized Muir at campaign rallies, as he and co-moderator Linsey Davis refused to fact-check anything that Harris said but repeatedly pushed back on statements from President Trump.

" 'Every one of them should have been questioned by David Muir, who I’ve lost a lot of respect for. Everyone’s lost respect for him,” said the former president last week. “It was so one-sided. It was one against three.”

"Davis attempted to justify her performance, where she incorrectly told President Trump that no states in the country allow for post-birth abortions. She cited the lack of fact-checking in the CNN debate on June 27th between President Trump and Joe Biden, which went so horribly for Biden that he was ultimately forced to withdraw from the race on July 21st.

" 'People were concerned that statements were allowed to just hang and not [be] disputed by the candidate Biden, at the time, or the moderators,” Davis claimed in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. “People were concerned that statements were allowed to just hang and not [be] disputed by the candidate Biden, at the time, or the moderators.”

"Only after the debate did ABC fact-check anything said by Harris, when Martha Raddatz confirmed that the vice president had lied when she declared that there is “not one member of the United States military who is in active duty in a combat zone in any war zone around the world.”

" '“Our fact-checkers found that to be false,” Raddatz confirmed." . . .
