Obama in Israel reading list; Remember, Israel, you have no better friend than President Obama and he doesn't bluff

Do you fans of the old "Closer" TV series remember the sleazy real estate dealer whose motto was "Gary doesn't lie"?
I don't know why that came to mind just now, but it did.

Be sure to read the excellent article by Caroline Glick further down in this post

White House Map ‘Erases’ Jerusalem, Biblical Territories. Sources say Obama already has pledged to discuss land for peace
"The White House has released what it says is a map of Israel. The only problem is that Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights are missing.
An Obama administration video highlighting the president’s plans for his Mideast trip depicts Jerusalem, the Golan and the West Bank – also known as Judea and Samaria – as non-Israeli territory.
"The Washington Free Beacon, which first reported the discrepancies, noted the video shows the Golan Heights as part of Syria; Jerusalem is depicted as part of the West Bank; and northern Israel is shown as part of Lebanon."

The map appears at the 25 second mark and you may need to pause the video to see how truncated Israel is:

Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs also discusses the above video in this article: Hussein in Jerusalem  "Obama isn’t going to say or do anything in Israel that will cause any concern to Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan and the rest of his cabal. ....
"Obama hates the “settlements.” Obama hates the Jewish homeland. I have two words for Israel: Keep building!
"Why are agitating violent Muslims allowed to live in the tiny Jewish state while over a million Jews were ethnically cleansed from Muslim lands? The Muslim world is by and large Jew-free. How can that stand?"

Obama Visit Signals Nadir of Israeli Left  "This means that although the president will underwhelm many Israelis, his visit will be a symbolic acceptance of the concept that the U.S. can’t dictate policy to its Israeli ally. That’s a boost for Israeli democracy, but very bad news for Israelis and their American cheerleaders who want Obama to override the verdict of the electorate.

; Palestinians Welcome Obama with Demands and Ultimatums  "Israeli leftists may not be excited about President Obama’s trip to Israel, as Jonathan wrote yesterday, but they are taking it a lot better than the Palestinians."
Political Cartoons by Glenn McCoy
Jennifer Rubin; Obama in Israel: Pretty speeches won’t do it  "The message all this sends to Syria’s patron, Iran, is simple: The United States won’t act. What the Israelis see is that if the United States is so unwilling to take on Syria and would allow such regional instability and humanitarian suffering, what chance is there that Obama would act to prevent Iran from gaining a nuclear weapons capability? You see why Israelis don’t really feel like Obama has their back."

Caroline Glick; Obama's mysterious visit  First Ms. Glick asks an obvious question:
It is possible that Obama is coming here in order to build up pro-Israel bonafides. But why would he bother? Obama won his reelection bid with the support of the overwhelming majority of American Jews. Their support vindicated his hostility toward Israel in his first term. He has nothing to prove.
Then Glick gives reasons for her questions about the Obama visit:  ...."For instance, in his interview with Israel television's Channel 2 last week, on issue after issue, Obama made clear that there will be no departure from his first term's policies. He will continue to speak firmly and do nothing to prevent Iran from developing the means to produce nuclear weapons."

...."Given that all of these are positions he has held throughout his presidency, the mystery surrounding his decision to come to Israel only grows. He didn't need to come to Israel to rehash policies we already know."

Then she wonders about Obama addressing college students with the exclusion of those at Ariel University, located on pre-1967 Israeli land.
...."But this is the first time that a US president has spurned not only the elected Right, but elected leftist politicians as well, by failing to speak to the Knesset, while actively courting the unelectable radical Left through his talk to a university audience."
Glick sees this as consistent "in keeping with the White House's general war with anyone who disputes its view that Judea and Samaria are Arab lands, the lack of outrage at his outrageous behavior makes sense."
By Obamaphile David Horsey

All options Glick explores bode evil for Israel and-if you think about it- any other traditional ally of America's that relied on the US for support. Sadly, she sees little chance the Republicans will support Israel, while I personally see no chance Rand Paul will.
...."What we can say with certainty is that the administration that supports the "democratically elected" Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, and did so much to clear all obstacles to its election, is snubbing the democratically elected Israeli government, and indeed, Israel's elected officials in general. Obama's transmission of this message in the lead-up to this visit, through symbols and action alike does not bode well for Israel's relations with the US in the coming four years."

In the last days Israel will stand alone among the nations:
"How the nations of the world treat endtime Israel will determine their blessings or curses. Recently it has been widely reported of an open feud between the US and Israel; of the US refusal to draw ‘red lines’ on Iran’s nuclear producing capacity, and the refusal of the US president to meet with Israel on this matter.  God is using Israel today as a measuring rod of the nations of the world; to judge the nations whether they will support or reject tiny Israel!

"The prophet Joshua put it succinctly that God alone will fight for Israel:
‘For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.  One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you‘  Josh23:9,10.
Richard Milne; Israel's History Written in Advance  "According to an old story, the powerful Prussian King Frederick the Great had a chaplain who was a Bible-believer, though Frederick himself was a rationalist. One day, Frederick challenged his chaplain, "In a word, give me a good argument for the God of the Bible." His chaplain, a knowledgeable man, responded, "The Jew, your majesty!" To unpack the chaplain's concise remark is the purpose of this essay."....
