JUST IN: FBI Reveals Latest Details On New Orleans Terror Attack (Photos)

Vegas Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger shot himself in head before explosion, police say . . ."Evans added that the FBI was looking into the possibility that the attack was politically motivated given that it occurred at a hotel owned by president-elect Donald Trump and with a vehicle from Trump-ally Elon Musk.

“It’s not lost on us that it happened in front of the Trump building and a Tesla vehicle was used,” Evans said.

"So far, law enforcement does not believe Livelsberger had any help carrying out the explosion, with surveillance cameras tracking him all alone on his trip from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas." . .  .

One comment from a reader:  "It was a beautiful car. What a loss."

TrendingPolitics   "On Thursday, the FBI confirmed that the perpetrator of the New Orleans terror attack, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, had posted multiple videos on Facebook proclaiming allegiance to ISIS before carrying out his actions. The videos, uploaded between 1:29 AM and 3:02 AM, outlined Khalid’s intentions and his radicalization journey.

"FBI officials detailed that Khalid drove from Houston to New Orleans on the evening of the attack, leaving behind a disturbing online trail. The videos included a will and testament and statements suggesting that Khalid initially planned to target his own family and friends but shifted his focus to “amplify the war between believers and disbelievers,” according to FBI Assistant Direct Christopher Raia.

"Khalid, who claimed to have joined ISIS before the summer, appeared to be motivated by a desire for broader impact, stating in one video his concerns that harming his family would not draw sufficient attention to his extremist ideology. The FBI and ATF have been investigating multiple crime scenes, including one on Bourbon Street, which has since been released, and another in Mandeville, where searches are ongoing.

The propaganda merchants badly want to drive a wedge between Trump and Musk.     "The corporate media and other Democrat advocacy groups have been desperately casting about for a way to create tension between President-elect Trump and Elon Musk. They know that much of the progressive agenda is in serious danger if the affinity that exists between these two men endures for very long. Beginning well before the election, numerous “news” stories alleged that Musk’s support of Trump created horrendous conflicts of interest. No one outside the Beltway paid any attention. Then, the demise of the 1,547 page “continuing resolution” last week inspired a new narrative — the senior partner in the alliance was Musk rather than Trump." . . .

How'd that work out, Bruce?

What Took You So Long, Joe?   . . ."In my opinion, this speech was too little, too late. Joe Biden should have appeared before the American people way before now. In times of crisis, that is what leaders do. But Biden, as we all know, is no leader, and has frequently been AWOL after other national tragedies, like in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene as well as the Maui fires, where in both instances his vacations simply couldn't be interrupted.

"Thankfully, we have a little less than three weeks to go before actual leadership returns to the White House. In the meantime, please continue to keep the surviving victims, the family members of the victims who were killed, and our country in your thoughts and prayers."

. . ."Then too, notice the name plates in front of the Cabinet members. Generally, such plates are placed in front of the person, facing out. But here, they're in the middle. Why would that be? So Joe Biden has a way to identify his Cabinet members?  You can see this has been a common practice for a while."

Greg Gutfeld Labels Media’s Anti-Trumpism ‘Most Destructive Movement’ Of Last Decade

Daily Wire

"Greg Gutfeld labeled the media’s “lockstep anti-Trumpism” one of the “most destructive” movements of the last decade, making it clear that in his mind, “wokism” was not the only one.

"In a rather lengthy piece he dropped Tuesday on X, the Fox News host wrote that when a person looks back at the “horrible decisions” made in the last ten years related to things like crime/illegal immigration chaos, COVID, and even the mental competence of President Joe Biden, they need not look further than how it was all “excused or denied” by the legacy media to justify their “irrational opposition” to President-elect Donald Trump.

“ 'Crime. If you admitted that progressive policies energized criminality and cost many innocent lives – that would put you on the side of Trump,” Gutfeld wrote for one of his examples. “‘So, you can’t do that,’ decides the media, so theft and violence became routine. Recidivism exploded.”

“ 'Immigration. If you admitted that unfettered illegal immigration stressed all our country’s systems, as well as introducing more violent crime — that would put you on the side of Trump,” he added. “‘You can’t do that,’ decides the media. So, it kept going, and people died.”

“ 'COVID. If you admitted that COVID came from China, likely a lab leak — then you were on the side of Trump,” Gutfeld continued. “‘So you [can’t] do that either — that would be racist,’ said the media. Instead, we embraced absurd notions about bat soup.”

"Gutfeld pointed out that if a person reported on the idea that Biden “was unfit for office” that was just another example that “you were siding with Trump.”

"He said those in the media decided that reports “must say that Joe is better than ever, and those who disagree are cruel,” which resulted in “a rudderless country sinking in chaos.” . . .

Pennsylvania Amish build a dozen homes for hurricane victims in just two days, outpacing Newsom’s promise from almost two years ago

Olivia Murray   A stark difference between the public and private sectors:

In March of 2023 Gavin Newsom promised to deliver 1200 tiny homes at a cost of 625,000 taxpayer dollars apiece. To date, not a single tiny home has been delivered.

. . ."Construction crews broke ground on the Sacramento location in March of 2024, and the homes were then projected to be completed in the fall of 2024… but today is the first day of 2025—like Dalton said, “not a single home” has been delivered. Where did all that money go? Back into the bureaucratic and political ether I’m sure.

"Now, compare that to the image on the right-hand side of the tweet, which features a story about a bunch of Pennsylvania Amish who built a dozen tiny homes for those who lost everything during Hurricane Helene in a span of two days…and, for a fraction of the cost that Newsom budgeted. Here’s this, from a report out of Boone, North Carolina: . . ."

‘All-American Military Texas Man’ Terrorist Made Disturbing Videos Prior to Attack, First Targeted His Family

 WLT Report

"Shamsud Din Jabbar, born in Texas, U.S.A, happened to also be an ISIS-supporting terrorist.". . .

"RedState reports:

As more information emerges about the ISIS-supporting terrorist who ran down dozens of people in New Orleans, leaving at least 10 dead, it has now been revealed that he recorded several disturbing videos on his drive from Texas.

As RedState reported, the killer was identified as Shamsud Din Jabbar, an American who had recently been radicalized. According to CNN, the videos in question give more details on his personal life and the timeline involved. During one of his rants, he discussed being divorced from his wife and how he had planned to gather his entire family together, including his children, to murder them. Instead, he decided to join ISIS, citing several dreams he had.

Other reports note that Jabbar had converted to Islam sometime over the last few years. He had moved into a trailer park located just blocks from a local mosque. He also kept sheep and goats on the property.

The videos themselves have not been released and likely won’t be given they were not posted online before the attack, but they point to the man’s clear derangement. What drove Jabbar to that point? Was he radicalized in a mosque, perhaps the one in his neighborhood? Was he connected with a larger terrorist cell? Was there an honor-killing aspect to his desire to kill his family? . . .

The Las Vegas Cybertruck bomber is identified

Who Is Matthew Livelsberger? What We Know About Army Soldier Who Died In Vegas Cybertruck Explosion

  Peter Barry Chowka

FOX News was the first outlet to broadcast the news that the truck used in New Orleans had crossed into the U.S. at Eagle Pass, TX, two days before the attack.

"The perpetrator of the second New Year’s Day 2025 terrorist attack in the USA was yet to be identified until some outlets on the MSM named the key suspect late on January 1, 2025.

"Newsweek had the most comprehensive article to date, “What Matthew Livelsberger’s Social Media Reveals About Cybertruck Suspect,” first published at 6:32 AM EST on January 2:

Matthew Livelsberger has been named in reports as the suspect found dead inside an explosives-filled Tesla Cybertruck that blew up outside President-elect Donald Trump's Las Vegas hotel on Wednesday, New Year's Day 2025.

Colorado Springs station KOAA and the New York Post have reported that Livelsberger, a 37-year-old former Army veteran, is the suspect, citing unnamed law enforcement sources.

"The Newsweek article included photos of the suspect from his social media accounts:

There are three social media accounts in question: a LinkedIn account linked to Matt Livelsberger, a Facebook account linked to a Matt Berg, and a Facebook account linked to what appears to be a wife or girlfriend of Livelsberger, named Sara Livelsberger.

Newsweek has not been able to independently verify the veracity of these accounts.

"Meanwhile, in Louisiana, where the most outrageous terrorist attack on New Year’s Day 2025 occurred after 3 AM CST Wednesday; the state’s attorney general, Liz Murrill, a Republican in her first term, stated during a live interview on FOX News at 6 AM EST Thursday, said that she has not been regularly updated or briefed by the FBI about developments in the investigation. The FBI has taken over control of the investigation of the New Orleans car truck attack, pushing aside local authorities. Various officials on Wednesday have said that the attack on Bourbon Street killed at last count 15 individuals and injured 35+ more" . . .

UPDATED: Former Special Forces Member Rips Biden Over Terror Attack, Hopes America Can Survive Until Trump Arrives

UPDATE: FBI No Longer Believes Other Suspects Involved In New Orleans Terror Attack   "The update contradicts prior statements where authorities said they did not believe Jabbar acted alone."

Rusty Weiss; RedState
"Whoever on the Democrat side thought it was okay to have that dementia-addled, barely-animated carcass behind the most important desk in the entire world owes all of us a big apology," Hanson demanded.

"A former member of the U.S. Army Special Forces heavily criticized our current "MIA" President Joe Biden over the Bourbon Street terror attack in New Orleans and openly wondered if America can survive until President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

"Jim Hanson, the Chief Editor for the Middle East Forum, spoke with Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany, who was filling in on the first episode of "Jesse Watters Primetime" for 2025.

"McEnany introduced imagery of a SWAT team outside the home of suspect Shamsud-Din Jabbar, noting that authorities were quite cautious in their approach due to concerns about possible IEDs having being wired inside.

"Hanson explained that they are right to be apprehensive, not knowing if other co-conspirators exist, claiming that the attack in Louisiana combined with the Cybertruck attack in Las Vegas appears to be "an organized cell looking to create chaos in multiple locations."

" 'That shows the dismal failure of the Biden Administration. Joe Biden has been MIA since the day of his inauguration," Hanson seethed.

"From there, he grew more furious with his commentary." . . .

Hundreds March for ‘Intifada’ in NYC Hours After Attacks in New Orleans, Las Vegas

An aspiring nurse, a football star, a single mother and a father of 2 killed in New Orleans attack    "NEW ORLEANS (AP) — An 18-year-old girl dreaming of becoming a nurse, a single mother, a father of two and a former Princeton football star suffered fatal injuries when the driver of a white pickup truck sped down Bourbon Street, packed with holiday revelers early Wednesday morning.

"Officials have not yet released the names of the 15 people killed in the New Orleans New Year’s Day truck attack, but their families and friends have started sharing their stories. New Orleans Coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna said in a statement late Wednesday that they will release the names of the dead once autopsies are complete and they’ve talked with the next of kin. About 30 people were injured." . . .

The Terrorist Who Attacked New Orleans Was Recently Radicalized and Went Insane in His Final Months

 Matt Vespa

The Gateway Pundit

"The FBI Houston office stated a developing situation in the area. As it turns out, they were cordoning off the trailer home of the New Orleans attacker, Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, who killed 15 people on New Year’s Day. He drove a Ford truck through a crowded area on Bourbon Street and opened fire on innocent bystanders before being taken down by police. He had an ISIS flag hanging on his vehicle, and reports show that he was recently radicalized.

"It’s not complicated: A man inspired by ISIS (a terrorist organization) + intentionally killing people in a crowded event with IEDs in his truck = a terrorist attack. Scratch that–Jabbar pledged allegiance to ISIS. Have things become that bad at the FBI? Of course. They’re always behind. The media was at Shamsud Din Jabbar’s trailer home in Texas hours before the FBI even showed up, which was around 1 PM local time yesterday. The New York Post and The New York Times likely know more about this man than the bureau, which shouldn’t shock anyone, as this agency has become degraded at every level.

"What a way to ring in the New Year, and I don’t mean that in a comical way. It was a total nightmare, where bombings and acts of terrorism are capping off the final weeks of Joe Biden’s America, which he’s left crime-ridden and poor. On New Year’s Day, Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, an Army veteran, rammed through people on Bourbon Street and then proceeded to open fire on other pedestrians who were still out celebrating. Fifteen people were killed, with at least another 30 wounded. Police gunned him down. The man had pledged allegiance to ISIS." . . .

A Cybertruck bomb in front of Trump Tower in Las Vegas?  Maybe it was some kind of accident, and the whole location was just a coincidence. But it's not hard to think that the idea was to send a message to both Donald Trump, who owns the tower, and to his political ally, Elon Musk, who owns Tesla.

. . ."In Las Vegas, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside of the Trump Hotel. The driver was killed, and several others were injured. Blessedly, it wasn’t a mass casualty event. The only person who died was the bomber, who rigged the vehicle with firework mortars and gasoline cans. It was an intentional event. And yet, our FBI doesn’t know what to think, do, or say. They said Nola wasn’t an act of terrorism.
