The EPA’s latest regulatory overreach represents a new level of absurdity by attempting to define ditches and ponds as part of the ‘navigable waters’ under the Clean Water Act.The real reason the EPA wants to regulate puddles and ditches . . . "A puddle or a ditch filled with water on a property certainly won't harm anyone outside the property. But the EPA wants to regulate it because it feels that without guidance, a private property user will do something with it to harm the Earth. For example, a private property owner might want to demolish a pothole, or a ditch, to build a commercial or residential building, one that could use electricity, increase consumption, and further "global warming." By extending its control to puddles and even totally dry areas where water once flowed years ago, the EPA can prevent development and further its global warming ideology.
Is it clear this rule serves the sole purpose of enabling the federal government to regulate businesses and property owners on an increasingly granular level.
The EPA’s action is contrary to multiple rulings by the U.S. Supreme Court limiting its jurisdiction, and represents yet another power grab by the Obama Administration seeking to impose heavy-handed regulations on every facet of the lives of Americans.
"That's what it's all about.
Destroy Capitalism, Save the Climate?
Economic growth provides resources for solving problems– restoring organic carbon in agricultural soils, conserving and restoring ecosystems, better sanitation and safer water, better health and education, updating the diesel fleet and other productive assets to emit less black carbon, developing better and cheaper ways of producing electricity, replacing cooking fires with better ways of preparing food, etc.
