A plurality of Americans think Biden's doing more to divide the nation.

. . ."But as usual, he managed to stand up in one of America’s most violent cities and accept no responsibility for the homicides or crime and instead blame Donald Trump and that MAGA crowd."  Human Events

More Americans Say Biden Is Dividing the Country Rather Than Unifying It, Poll Finds (newsweek.com)   . . ."An overwhelming 92 percent of Republicans surveyed said Biden was dividing the nation, while 84 percent of Democrats said he was doing more to bring the country together. Half of independents, a key voting bloc that has been souring on Biden, responded that he was dividing the nation.
"Biden repeatedly called for unity on the campaign trail, in his victory speech and in his inaugural address. Just last week, the president made another appeal for harmony as he delivered remarks on the one-year anniversary of the deadly U.S. Capitol riot.". . .

Opinion | America Has Split, and It’s Now in ‘Very Dangerous Territory’ - The New York Times (nytimes.com)      . . ."McCoy and Press studied 52 countries “where democracies reached pernicious levels of polarization.” Of those, “twenty-six — fully half of the cases — experienced a downgrading of their democratic rating.” Quite strikingly, the two continue, “the United States is the only advanced Western democracy to have faced such intense polarization for such an extended period. The United States is in uncharted and very dangerous territory.” . . .

More Americans Say Biden Is Dividing the Country   "Biden has not just appeased the extreme left of his party by canceling pipelines and erasing the southern border, he has become its cheerleader while eviscerating everyone who voted against him in the 2020 presidential election as white supremacists, racists, and domestic terrorists. On Thursday, he continued that smear campaign during a speech in Philadelphia, where the murder rate has already hit 361 for the year and threatens to attain an all-time high, set last year. Biden’s speech was supposed to be about democracy but it turned out to be another rant about those “MAGA Republicans” whom Biden has scapegoated for all the crimes and ills besetting the country.

"If President Trump had stood before a blood-red background with military figures at attention, the media would have been apoplectic over the Nazi symbolism and the police state imagery. But Biden was allowed to use it without comment. I didn’t count the number of times he said MAGA, or how many times it sounded like maggot or mega, but it certainly dominated his speech." . . .
