The roots of Islamophobia on campus

"At Columbia University, many pro-Hamas protesters are dressed in the black and white keffiyeh headdresses that are the Brownshirts of the Palestinazis. In recent days, they have waved Hamas flags, yelled Hamas slogans, and intimidated, threatened, and assaulted Jewish students, particularly those who wear yarmulkes and otherwise visually identify themselves as Jews. Israeli and U.S. flags have been set ablaze."  Deroy Murdock

WARNING, VERY GRAPHIC! Video out of Israel shows room full of children massacred by Hamas    Barenakedislam.com:  "Hamas Gaza militant terrorists are roaming the streets and massacring people at random -men, women, and children ON SIGHT. They are also kidnapping/killing Israeli civilian thanks to Joe Biden’s $6 billion to Iran, not to mention restoration of the hundreds of million of US taxpayer dollars to the Palestinians that Donald Trump had cut off when he was in office."

Classy Infidel says:  "Sometimes, an enemy can go too far and sink itself. I think this is what is happening now. The enemy’s level of hate and joyful glee is so elevated that they have lost all reasoning. And the civilized world sees this and will side with the Israelis." . . .

Columbia Protest Leader Who Called for Jews to Be Exterminated would agree with what happened above. – RedState   "Khymani James finally faced the consequences of his actions on Friday after multiple reports revealed that he had been expelled from Columbia University.

"As RedState reported, videos of the self-proclaimed revolutionary who leads the pro-Hamas "encampment" on campus showed him calling for Jews to be exterminated. In his disturbing rantings, James claimed that "Zionists don't deserve to live" and said they should be exterminated like "nazis." Around 95 percent of Jews support the existence of a Jewish state, making them "Zionists." . . .

. . ."It is a good thing that this maniac has been expelled, but there are serious reasons to doubt that Columbia did this for any other reason than to quell the public backlash. The university has known about these videos since January. Yet, officials did nothing in response until they became politically toxic months later. James should have been expelled immediately. Instead, he was allowed to lead an illegal protest.

"So yeah, better late than never, but Columbia has a lot of explaining to do." . . .

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like 1938 - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics    "If Jews do not feel safe on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, in New York City, in the United States of America, where can they feel safe?
"NYC is home to some 1.3 million Jews, the most outside of Israel. Jewish men and women have thrived in The Big Apple for hundreds of years, enjoying religious freedom, prosperity, political power, and the affection and goodwill of millions of their gentile neighbors, colleagues, and loved ones.
"Jewish culture is NYC culture. New Yorkers of all stripes schlep packages to the Post Office, kvetch when things go awry, and mock their friends when they act like putzes. Those of us who call NYC home need not be Jewish to speak and act this way. We live in New York.
"We pick it up.
"However, things lately have been far from dancing the Horah.
"Protests began after Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, massacre against Israel. The Iranian-sponsored terrorist group butchered some 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped 240 hostages from Israel, America, and other nations. These demonstrations have devolved from opposition to Israel’s self-defense against these killers from the Gaza Strip, into support for Hamas, and now open hatred of Jews, per se." . . .

The anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian, and conflated pro-Hamas antisemitism on university campuses in America is astounding.  Spitting on, threatening, intimidating, and menacing Jewish fellow students is beyond unacceptable and symptomatic of a malignant antisemitic spiritual plague in America — a scourge that is emerging after festering in the political, social, and collective spiritual marrow of America for many decades.  The most shameful aspect of this is that universities are one of the roots.
"The other political-social taproot of this American antisemitism is the subliminal and liminal anti-Israel messages of politicians like Barack Obama and the likes of radical leftist politicians of the Squad.  It might have helped our country and the world at the time if Barack Obama and the Squad had praised and promoted the Abraham Accords.
"It is one thing to vigorously disagree with Israel policies.  But after the ghastly, evil attack of Hamas on October 7, 2023, and Israel’s declaration of war on Hamas, it is a pure expression of evil terrorism for a university student or other American to say, “I am Hamas” or to threaten more murderous attacks on Israeli citizens or American Jews.  American politicians’ silence or advocacy of moral equivalency on the Hamas issue says volumes." . . . Below: comment to this post worth noting, TD
America's universities have made themselves disgusting to America's youth and their parents. If these brainwashing camps drive away their prospects and their big money donors, they will die on the vine. Good people should cheer that outcome. Who needs expensive places teaching violence, division, bitterness and hate?

“This is an openly anti-American movement, which is using Israel as the scapegoat” (legalinsurrection.com)    "There is a plus-side to the vile anti-Israel and antisemitic encampments at Columbia and several other universities – the anti-American side of the movement is on full display. As I’ve been saying for years, the racialized and radicalized campuses are a threat to our nation, now they have shown their hand for all to see.

"When they burn American flags, and when they chant for the destruction of the U.S., they are showing us who they really are." . . .

"I had a chance to talk with Chris Beers about this on NTD TV today, Dehumanization of Jews Led by University Faculty:"

. . ."There is no diversity of viewpoint among faculty on campuses, not just on domestic issues. We often talk about Republican versus Democrat and how there are no Republican professors left pretty much. The same is true for Israel.

"There are almost no openly pro-Israel professors left because they don’t get hired. If you have anything Zionist on your CV, on your resume, the likelihood of getting hired in the humanities or the social sciences at a place like Cornell or at Columbia, or at Harvard or at Yale, is close to zero.

"So they have over 20 years weeded out diversity of viewpoint when it comes to Israel, just like they’ve weeded out diversity of viewpoint on domestic issues." . . .
