It’s Time For The Federal Government To Protect Americans From Pro-Crime State And Prosecutors

"The Constitution guarantees a right to life, but state prosecutors and judges who let criminals back on the street are denying Americans that precious right."

Vince Coyner - American Thinker

"These state and local policies are the bleeding edge (literally) of George Soros’s and the swamp’s attempts to destroy the Republic and turn America into the leftist paradise they all dream of controlling."

. . . " What kinds of things can be done?

"First: Make murder a federal, capital crime and only a limited, streamlined appeal process so that the thing doesn’t drag on for years or decades.

"Second: The federal government should begin to indict and imprison said judges, prosecutors, and DAs every single time one of the career criminals they put back on the street kills someone.

"But, you might say, all these prosecutors, judges, and DAs have qualified immunity. Maybe from state charges, but not from federal civil rights violations.

"Think back to 1992 when a local jury acquitted the police officers of assault and use of excessive force in the beating of Rodney King. What happened then? The feds came in and charged those same officers with violating King’s civil rights, and they won convictions.

"Frankly, that was a BS charge then, but the precedent was set. If using a baton on someone who put the lives of countless motorists at risk is a violation of civil rights, then actually empowering the murder of someone is at least as much so. As such, given the role that the various government officials play in putting on the street career criminals who then go on to commit murder, the Justice Department should hold them accountable.

"What would the result of such a policy be? One would be that it would force government officials to weigh the potential consequences of releasing criminals into communities against the potential outcome to the community should that criminal murder someone. Another would be that crime would drop precipitously as career criminals find themselves behind bars far more often than they’re accustomed to." . . .

Iran's new cleric leader puts Iran on a doomed path; President Trump rightly called it “a big mistake.” It is much more.

Matthew G. Andersson - American Thinker

"Over decades, they have employed systematic, often brutal oppression to radicalize, isolate and indoctrinate new generations of Iranians into believing that they are holy symbols of sacred authority.  They aren’t. "

Gary Varvel

"By installing the son of deceased Ali Hosseini Khamenei as Iran’s new “Supreme Leader,” Iran's theocracy is presenting to the world, and to Iran itself, a new and dangerous risk.  Iranians may not fully perceive what fated path they are being led down.

"Mojtaba Khamenei’s unavoidable motivation will be to avenge his father’s death.

"By seeking personal vengeance, he loses his capacity to rationally lead others, and to reliably represent Iran among other world leaders.  The motive for martyrdom has been elevated into an unprecedented dimension. He could be willing to effectively sacrifice Iran’s population.

"He will continue directing the IRGC against Israel, the Arab territories and U.S. assets, but the IRGC’s latitude to reason militarily over the costs, benefits, and risks of fighting, is foreclosed.

"The door to negotiation, or even surrender, is shut and locked. Iran is being taken on a one-way flight.

"That makes the IRGC into more than a fighting group — it is the personal army of a robed and vengeful Shia cleric who continues to symbolize in appearance and demeanor, a conceit of elevated separation from his own people, and their interests.

"It is interesting to consider in contrast, how even China’s and Russia’s leaders present themselves to the world, and to their own people.

"Xi Jinping is not adorned in a Buddhist kesa and ohi (or even a CCP party Mao tunic).

"Vladimir Putin is not dressed in Orthodox cassock robes and ryassa, with a skufia adorning his head.

"They both wear a suit and tie, and symbolize Western secular practices based on their rational perception of interacting with the rest of the world, especially with the U.S., in business-like terms (Xi even recently went further, ordering button-down open shirts and blazers).  They keep religion and business separated. Mamdani Spins Attempted Terror Bomb Attack Outside His Residence › American Greatness  . .

. "NBC 4 New York initially reported the incident in ambiguous terms, claiming that “‘suspicious devices’ [were] found outside Gracie Mansion” but later clarified that the devices were “ignited” as can be clearly seen in video footage.

"Mamdani looked at this and opted to attack the young man that these terrorists tried to murder rather than even slightly reject this.

"It tells you everything you need to know about him.pic.twitter.com/YyE52Tuani—"

Our corrupt Muslim-apologist press - M. Walter  "A textbook Islamic terrorist somehow gets written up as a right-winger, as well as a Pennsylvania teenager just trying to enjoy a day in the city."

Orwell Comes to Gracie Mansion

The Times cannot shake it's Walter Duranty nature.

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "The bombs weren’t targeting Mamdani; they were thrown at the people who were protesting against him."

"The failure of the vast majority of the Moscow-based foreign press [including Duranty] to cover the cruel and murderous famine that Stalin deliberately induced in Ukraine raises numerous uncomfortable questions."

Rich Terrell

"In Saturday, a man yelled “Allahu Akbar” and threw bombs into a crowd of anti-Islamic protesters who were protesting against what they described as the “Islamic takeover of New York City.” Thankfully, the bomb did not go off. The response of New York’s elected leaders and media left a lot to be desired. NBC New York posted a tweet that said the devices were “found” outside Mayor Mamdani’s home. The article they posted did not report on the counter-protesters that were there or the man who yelled “Allahu Akbar” throwing the bomb. Through its omission, the article led readers to believe that the anti-Muslim protesters planted the explosives to target Mayor Mamdani.
"After receiving significant pushback online, NBC New York rewrote their tweet and made significant revisions to their article, without issuing a correction. X added a community note to the post indicating that the bombs were thrown at the anti-Muslim protesters and not by them, “as this post and the story would lead you to believe.” The community note also emphasized that the attackers yelled “Allahu Akbar” as they threw the bombs at the protesters.
"NBC New York was not alone. TMZ tweeted, “‘Suspicious Devices Found Outside Zohran Mamdani’s Residence.” It doesn’t get more Orwellian. The devices weren’t found outside Mamdani’s residence; they were thrown in broad daylight by a man who yelled “Allahu Akbar.” The TMZ post also makes it seem like the anti-Muslim protesters placed the bombs there. Their misuse of language is apparent. “Found” implies the bombs were planted at Mamdani’s residence to target him. That is not what occurred, and the media’s framing is deceptive. X added a similar community note to that post.
"New York’s elected leaders and candidates were no better. Gov. Kathy Hochul tweeted, “I’ve been briefed on today’s incident outside Gracie’s Mansion. I’m grateful there are no reported injuries. New York respects the right to peaceful protest, but we have zero tolerance for hate or violence [emphasis added].”
"As the Supreme Court ruled in Skokie, people in America do have the right to peacefully protest, even if they are espousing hate speech. Hochul equates the political speech of the victims with their attackers’ attempt to murder them, while framing her tweet in a way that makes it sound like the victims committed the violence.
"It took her 24 hours to put out a more forceful condemnation of the attempted bombing.
"State Sen. Liz Krueger tweeted, “New York is no place for anti-Muslim hate or any kind of prejudice. We don’t need out-of-state provocateurs sowing fear, division, and violence in our city.” Sen. Krueger did not condemn the bomb in her statement; she condemned the protesters.

Shocker: NYC Mayor Mamdani Honored by Extremist Who Demanded Hamas Bomb Israel

The fact that New York City's mayor would associate himself with such extremism shows exactly why American voters decisively rejected the radical left in 2024.

"CNN was forced to delete a post that made light of the suspected ISIS-inspired bombing attempt near New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani's home over the weekend.

The initial X post described suspects Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19, as 'two Pennsylvania teenagers' who simply 'crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could've been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather.'

'But in less than an hour, their lives would drastically change as the pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs during an anti-Muslim protest outside of Mayor Zohran Mamdani's home,' it continued.

The post's poor construction was promptly highlighted by a horde of onlookers before being deleted around 9:30am Tuesday.

CNN released a statement shortly thereafter, admitting the post 'failed to reflect the gravity of the incident thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting.'

'It has therefore been deleted,' a CNN spokesperson further told the Daily Mail Tuesday morning.

CNN media reporter Brian Stelter wrote in his Reliable Sources column that the network was 'rightly criticized' for the post.

The two teens the report had been referring to were both charged with domestic terrorism-related offenses on Monday, two days after their arrests at a chaotic crime scene near Gracie Mansion." . . .

DISGRACEFUL: NYC's Communist Mayor Honored by Hamas Extremist Who Called for Tel Aviv Bombings | Next News Network  "New York City's communist Mayor Zohran Mamdani has once again exposed his radical extremist agenda by choosing a Hamas-supporting terrorist sympathizer to honor him at a recent Ramadan celebration. The shocking decision reveals just how far left the Big Apple has fallen under Democrat leadership.

"According to reports, Mamdani selected; Abdullah Akl, leader of the Muslim American Society, to introduce him at the event.

"This isn't just poor judgment – it's a deliberate slap in the face to our Israeli allies and every American who stands against terrorism. While President Trump works tirelessly to restore America's strong support for Israel and combat global terrorism, radical Democrats like Mamdani are literally platforming those who cheer for Jewish blood in the streets." . . .

'Jim Crow 2.0' Smears Allowed by Democrat-Aligned 'Fact Checkers'

Column: Tim Graham

"PolitiFact didn’t update anything. They should be honest and call their site PartisanFact."

"The people who call themselves the “mainstream media” have a remarkable tendency to take the minority position on an 80-20 issue, most recently on requiring voters to show a photo ID at the polls. House Republicans have passed the “SAVE Act,” while Democrats have almost unanimously opposed it.

"But the American people do not. Gallup pollsters report 84 percent of Americans support requiring photo ID to vote – 98 percent of Republicans, 84 percent of independents, and 67 percent of Democrats. Large majorities of blacks and Latinos back it. Separately, 83% support the SAVE Act requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote for the first time.

"When presented with this information, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) could only toss that old Biden smear out, that the SAVE Act was “Jim Crow 2.0.” So a majority of blacks favor the return of Jim Crow? How, precisely, is asking voters for an ID comparable to segregated schools and neighborhoods and bathrooms and water fountains? Obviously, they’re comparing Republicans here to racist Southern Democrats who tried to deny blacks the right to vote. That was Jim Crow 1.0.

"Sadly, CNN political reporter Zach Wolf demonstrated how united Democrats are in pushing this blatant lie, except for Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania: “I think Fetterman is the most off-message Democrat in the chamber right now….I think most Democrats would get on board with what Schumer was saying.” . . .  More...

Celebrating International Women’s Day In a Culture That Cannot Define What a Woman Is

 American Greatness

"International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 is touted as a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

"However, this year’s celebration is also providing a worldwide platform from which gender ideologues hope to promote their efforts to recognize men who say they identify as women as actual women through official themes and a number of trans-inclusive events worldwide.

"Make that make sense.

‘International women’s day’ made completely by . . . men. For only . . . men.

What a time to be alive pic.twitter.com/rK1nTEGzkP

— Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) March 4, 2026

"In addition to the IWD theme of “Give to Gain,” the United Nations (UN) Women’s theme is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”

"The inclusion of “all” women requires explicitly advocating for a definition of womanhood that includes so-called trans women, stressing that gender equality cannot be achieved without addressing the specific barriers they face.

"The UN IWD website says it seeks to dismantle what it calls “barriers to equal justice,” including “discriminatory laws, weak legal protections, and harmful practices and social norms that erode the rights of women and girls.”

"What exactly is that supposed to mean?

"Does it mean biological males pretending to be girls should be allowed to compete against biological females in high school and collegiate sports?" . . .

October 1983 Beirut barracks bombing: 241 killed (220 Marines + 21 other service members) by Iran-backed Hezbollah truck bomb.
September 1984 Beirut US Embassy annex bombing: 2 US service members killed by Iran-backed Hezbollah car bomb.
June 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia: 19 US airmen killed by Iran-backed Hezbollah Al-Hijaz truck bomb.
2003–2011 Iraq War: At least 603 US troops killed by Iran-backed militias (via training, EFPs/explosively formed penetrators, IEDs, and other support; roughly 1 in 6 US combat deaths in Iraq.
October 2023–November 2024: 3 US service members killed across more than 180 attacks by Iran-backed militias.

Recovering the Lost Art of Diplomacy

"The following is adapted from a speech delivered at Hillsdale College on October 21, 2025, sponsored by Hillsdale’s Center for Military History and Strategy."

 Imprimis

In recent years, the U.S. State Department has taken on a dizzying array of goals detached from the national interest. These range from fighting climate change to advancing identity politics and advocating for an assortment of supposed global “rights” untethered from the U.S. Constitution.

"Diplomacy is an instrument of strategy that great powers use to survive and gain an advantage in competition with other powerful states. Excellence in diplomacy is a vital prerequisite to the success and endurance of great powers. Diplomatic skills atrophied in the United States after the end of the Cold War, as we came to rely on military technology and economic sanctions as the main tools of our foreign policy. But now we are entering a dangerous age in which great powers are competing for the things they have competed over from the beginning of time: territory, resources, influence, and prestige. In this setting, the United States will need to recover the lost art of diplomacy.

"First, let me clarify that by diplomacy, I don’t mean John Kerry landing in Davos, Switzerland to give a lecture to the world’s political and business leaders about climate change. I mean the use of negotiations to reconcile conflicting interests on matters of war and peace. Diplomacy is an art and is best defined by its outcomes rather than by its processes. The most consequential outcome by far is the constraint of the power of one’s adversaries—in other words, setting limits to the hostile accumulation of power. Powerful states are naturally constrained by all kinds of things, such as geography, fearful neighbors, and limitations of military technology. Diplomacy works to maximize these constraints in order to restrict an aggressive opponent’s options for conquest. Of all forms of diplomacy between great powers, the most important concerns itself with limiting, avoiding, or preparing for war.

"I should also define what I mean by strategy: it is the matching of national means, in the form of military and economic resources, to national ends, in the form of foreign threats and opportunities. Danger arises when gaps emerge between the means at a nation’s disposal and the ends to which those means must be applied. Diplomacy is critical when a state faces enemies too numerous or powerful to be deterred or defeated by military means alone. Diplomacy’s role in strategy is to increase the external means at the nation’s disposal by building coalitions and to reduce the threats arrayed against it through détente. Effective diplomacy permits states to avoid tests of strength that are beyond their ability to bear.

"There are two erroneous conceptions of diplomacy that have become entrenched in the modern mind" . . . More...

Iran is 'activating sleeper cells outside the country,' intercepted alert says

  Daily Mail Online

Among the looming concerns is the upcoming World Cup, designated a National Special Security Event. The tournament will draw massive crowds and global attention – precisely the type of stage extremist groups crave.

"Iran may be activating sleeper cells outside of the country, according to an alert that was intercepted by the US.

"The encrypted communications, believed to have come from inside Iran, was sent as an 'operational trigger' for 'sleeper assets,' according to ABC News.

"Sleeper cells are agents or terrorists planted in countries who blend in with normal civilians until they are needed to carry out an attack.

"The message was transmitted across multiple countries shortly after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was obliterated in a joint Israeli-US airstrike in Tehran on February 28. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, has since been named the new Supreme Leader.

"The Daily Mail exclusively revealed in August an extensive passport scheme with Iranian forces coming to the west through Venezuela and setting up sleeper cells in America's backyard.

"Fears of such activity has only heightened across the US in the last week that covert agents laying low in America may be triggered to retaliate after the war in Iran erupted.

"The war has entered its second week with the US and Israel now feuding after Israeli forces blew up Iran's oil depots in a blitz that shocked the White House over fears the move would anger Americans because of a surge in gas prices.

"Preliminary signals analysis has led the US to believe the message was 'likely of Iranian origin,' and was sent to 'clandestine recipients,' who have a passcode.

"Because the message had 'international rebroadcast characteristics' American intelligence believes its likely that it could be for sleeper cells. There was no operational threat tied to a specific location, the outlet said." . . .  More...

Newsom’s Rocky Month Shows the Risks of Running on Style Over Substance

 Victor Davis Hanson

"Add it all up, and he’s got only one campaign slogan. Gavin Newsom will have to run as “I want to do to the United States what I did to California.” We’ll see how that works out."

Victor Davis Hanson, a senior contributor for The Daily Signal, is a classicist and historian at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and host of "The Victor Davis Hanson Show."

"While California Governor Gavin Newsom has become the voice of the anti-Trump resistance, his fellow Californian, former Vice President Kamala Harris, is still hanging on as the face of the party.

"The Daily Mail and JL Partners February poll showed that Harris still sits in first place when voters were asked to select their favorite possible 2028 Democratic primary candidate.

"Harris received support from 23 percent of likely Democratic primary voters, with 19 percent selecting the California governor."

Gavin Newsom Is Asked About His Goals - His Response Clearly Shows Why He Should Not Be President     "We've seen people implode when they've run for president.

"But I don't think we've seen someone who hasn't even officially declared yet implode as badly as California Gov Gavin Newsom has been doing.

"Let's be frank, he isn't exactly facing tough questions as he tools around on his book tour, trying to increase his national presence. We even saw Katie Couric asking him about how good-looking he was. Nice suck-up "journalism" there, Katie.

"But that said, he still has trouble answering basic questions." . . .
