The Left Will Never Forgive Jews for October 7

Kathleen Hayes   "They hate Jews for the massacre of October 7, cloaking their hate as righteousness: the alternative is facing the pure evil at the heart of their beloved community"

"Israel, a state largely founded by refugees fleeing oppression, including Holocaust survivors, is the ultimate reminder of the crimes visited on the Jewish people, and this is why it is hated."

. . . "Israel, a state largely founded by refugees fleeing oppression, including Holocaust survivors, is the ultimate reminder of the crimes visited on the Jewish people, and this is why it is hated. At first the left, for the most part, accepted Israel, even spoke of the Jewish right to self-determination. All that changed when the Israeli people had the effrontery in 1967 to not only defeat the latest attempt to destroy them, but win. This allowed the left to declare Israel, and the Jews, not a virtuous victim but an imperialist oppressor. The antisemitism that is now so shocking and visible had been percolating on the far left for over fifty years.

"There’s so much for progressives to gain from not knowing this history. In a Godless world, the left offers what the church once did: an essential feeling of community, of divinely ordained purpose, of virtue, of being on the side of good against evil. The men and women who share their most cherished beliefs and march at their side may be dearer to them than family. The thought of losing all this may feel equivalent to walking off a cliff.

"So they hate Jews for the massacre of October 7, cloaking their hate as righteousness: the alternative is facing the pure evil at the heart of their beloved community. They cheer the terrorists as anti-imperialist “freedom fighters,” tear down posters of kidnapped women as “Zionist propaganda.” If some of the details make them squeamish, they deny the atrocities happened, while simultaneously proclaiming that if they did, the racist settler-colonialists deserved it, or else they did it to themselves. The awesome human capacity for invention is mobilized, putting a twenty-first century progressive sheen on that timeless program, the murder of Jews.

"Of course, they do have a choice. They could dare to think for themselves, question their beliefs, challenge their peers and leading authorities. They could read one single book about antisemitism and ask themselves: Could this have something to do with today?" . . . More...

"What is the true cost of a moment in history? Experience the Battle of Gettysburg not from a textbook, but from the eyes of a man who commanded the center of the Union line during its most desperate hour. "This is the harrowing, firsthand testimony of Union General John Gibbon. Stand with him on the smoky crest of Cemetery Ridge on July 3, 1863, as he bears witness to the climactic assault of the Civil War: Pickett's Charge. Through his vivid account, feel the deafening roar of the Confederate barrage, the eerie calm before the storm, and the overwhelming sight of thousands of soldiers advancing across the open field. This is a story of leadership, chaos, and the unbreakable will of the soldiers behind the stone wall—a story where the fate of a nation hung in the balance. "We go beyond the maps and strategies to bring you the visceral reality of command, where time shattered and every decision was measured in blood."

On June 3rd, 1864, Frank Haskell was killed while leading his regiment in the futile Union frontal assault at the Battle of Cold Harbor in Virginia. He is buried in Silver Lake Cemetery in Portage, Wisconsin.

One wonders if the scarf man at Greta's left raped any Jewish women or strangled and children on Oct 7th.

"Israeli authorities on Thursday boarded Greta Thunberg's pro-Palestinian six-ship flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza and arrested Greta. Looking at Greta while she was being detained on the boat, I wondered why she bothered going all the way to Israel. Sweden has Super Cuts.

"The Free Beacon reported that Generation Z is starting to make a lot of money off Tik Tok and social media startups and influencing royalties. My 16-year-old neighbor here in West Hollywood was asked on his driver's test how far he lived from a bus stop. The kid replied, about 15 economic levels. Hillary Clinton went on MSNBC's Morning Joe Monday and said she blamed white men of a certain religion for trying to turn back the clock and impede the nation's march toward progress. Greta says the only possible reason Israel could hate Hamas is...is...Racism!  She knows because she learned it all on "The View", MSNBC, and nine out of ten Hollywood influencers. Hey, Greta, influence THIS!

Those calling for 'globalizing the intifada' have more blood on their hands

Seeing the Islamic hordes swarming through holes in the Gaza/ Israel border pretty much destroys the two-state "solution" wouldn't you say? Nobody but campus useful idiots, Hollywood, MSNBC and Greta Thunberg could buy that. TD

"By recognizing Palestinian statehood unilaterally, along with France, Canada and Australia, without Hamas releasing the hostages it took on Oct. 7, or a commitment on their part to disarm and end their war to destroy Israel, Starmer's government was rewarding the terrorists for their barbarous actions."

"Don't expect the latest incident of antisemitic violence to wake the world up to the incitement against Jews that has swept across the globe in the last two years since Oct. 7. The attack on Yom Kippur at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation in Manchester, England, that cost the lives of two Jews rightly provoked condemnations from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other politicians in the United Kingdom, as well as shocked headlines around the world.

"Still, there is something important lacking in the responses to the coverage of this tragedy on the part of those in the media, global organizations like the United Nations, or those who have joined in, supported, justified and rationalized pro-Hamas demonstrations and activism throughout the West. Their willingness to spread the anti-Israel propaganda put out by terrorists who led the Palestinian Arab assault across the Gaza border on Oct. 7, 2023 has helped mainstream and normalize blood libels about the Jewish state and the Jews. And that has contributed to an atmosphere of hate that makes atrocities like the one committed at the British synagogue not merely possible but inevitable.

Threats against Jews

"Though they were willing to admit the obvious and declare the attack an act of domestic terrorism, British authorities say they are still working to discover the motive of Jihad al-Shamie, the assailant who was killed at the scene by police. He has been identified as a 35-year-old British citizen of Syrian descent. Three other people who have, at press time, not yet been identified are reported to have assisted him in carrying out the assault, which involved a car being driven into the crowd of Jewish worshippers outside the synagogue and a knife attack. But you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to realize that the current atmosphere, where threats against Jews are constantly heard at mass demonstrations in London and other British cities in support of Palestinian terrorism, is part of the equation.

"We've seen a string of violent attacks during the past year in the United States, including the shooting deaths of two young Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, D.C.; the firebombing of a march for Israeli hostages in Boulder, where an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor was killed; and an overnight arson attack on the Harrisburg residence of Gov. Josh Shapiro during Passover. All were committed in the name of "Free Palestine, "a slogan whose meaning is the erasure of Israel, not the creation of an Arab state alongside it, which the Palestinians have repeatedly demonstrated that they don't want." . . . More...

Oct. 7: A Dark Anniversary

 The American Spectator

"Hamas claims that it has lost track of some of the hostages. That gives it — and its closest allies such as Palestinian Islamic Jihad — time to murder more of the hostages.

"[Today] is the second anniversary of Hamas’s attack on Israel. The October 7, 2023 attack was genocidal, seeking to kill the maximum number of Jews. Hamas burned entire families, used rape and torture as weapons of war and took about 250 hostages."

"President Trump is vastly different from former president Biden. Instead of pressuring Israel to make peace on Hamas’s terms, he has put forth four or five peace plans that were designed to place Israel in control of its own fate.

"Now Trump has put forth a 20-point peace plan and has given Hamas a deadline of 6:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time to agree to it or face what should be attacks by Israel that could eradicate the terrorist network.

"The plan requires the release of all hostages — those still alive and those who were murdered in captivity — within three days of the agreement. It also requires that Hamas surrender its weapons and not participate in any future Palestinian “government” of the Gaza Strip.

"The plan further creates a “Board of Peace,” headed by Trump, to oversee the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and ensure that Hamas takes no part in Gaza’s government.

"The unspoken alternative is for Hamas to face eradication by the Israelis.

"Several Arab nations have endorsed Trump’s plan. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt all issued a joint statement which said we  “welcome President Donald J. Trump’s leadership and his sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza, and assert their confidence in his ability to find a path to peace.”

"That means those Arab states, at least, are tired of the war and want it to end. It doesn’t mean that they won’t aid Hamas — especially our Qatari “allies” — but they are worried about Iran, Hamas’s principal sponsor, and its influence across their region.

"Hamas has already responded to the peace offer. In a statement it said that it would release all the hostages, “if the proper conditions for the exchange are met.” The statement continues, saying that Hamas “renews its agreement to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independents (technocrats), based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.”

"Note well that Hamas doesn’t agree to be excluded from the future government of Gaza" . . .

Trump Warns of ‘Massive Bloodshed’ if Hamas Fails to Agree to Peace Deal

. . . "Trump previously announced the deadline in an Oct. 3 post on Truth Social, delivering an ominous warning to Hamas about accepting the deal.

"If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas," Trump wrote. "THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!' " . . .

 October 7, Two Years Later

. . . "Alan Dershowtiz noted, “On October 8, things changed again when the extreme Progressive woke left used these massacres as an excuse to turn on Israel.  This was even before Israel fired a single shot or sent a single troop into Gaza.  Now on college campuses, students and faculty feel free to call for genocide against the Jews.  Everyone should read the Hamas charter, which in some ways is worse than Mein Kampf because it is more specific.' ” . . .

. . . "The world should realize that evil does not occur in a vacuum.  Some, whether college presidents, the mainstream media, or Western leaders, should recognize that they have enabled and encouraged genocide against the Jews."

No sanctuary for Illinois residents?

Rich Terrell

Chicago a war zone over ICE raids, and Illinois's governor doesn't think there's a problem
"Yet instead of being embarrassed at the feds having to come in and clean up his state's mess because he couldn't, the response from Illinois's governor, J.B. Pritzger, little more than 'nothing to see here, move along.' "

Sen. Dick Durbin is going to regret asking this question for the rest of his life. It totally backfired on him.

Pritzker’s Gambit  . . . "Abraham Lincoln stated in his first inaugural that “I shall take care, as the Constitution itself expressly enjoins upon me, that the laws of the Union be faithfully executed in all the States,” pointing out that “Unanimity is impossible; the rule of a minority, as a permanent arrangement, is wholly inadmissible; so that, rejecting the majority principle, anarchy or despotism in some for is all that is left.”

"The Civil War that Lincoln had hoped to avoid settled this question decisively. And the supremacy of federal law was used a century later during the civil rights movement to extend constitutional protections to everyone in the land. Liberals once knew this lesson – and reveled in it – but then forgot it in their 21st-century rush to establish so-called “sanctuary cities.' ”

The left’s deep-rooted violence is what insurrection really looks like   . . . "Armed resistance to US government officers executing the law, with police refusing to back them up? That was no accident.

"Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker didn’t condemn the violent resistance, but he did condemn the feds.

"On Friday, Nicholas “Sophie” Roske — the leftist who, after attempting to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh for political reasons, claimed to have “become a woman” during his trial — received a stunningly light eight-year sentence from a Biden-appointed federal judge, considerably less than the 30 years prosecutors had sought.

"And in Virginia, Democratic state AG candidate Jay Jones has been revealed as a sick monster who fantasized in text messages about murdering Republican Todd Gilbert — as well as Gilbert’s “little fascist” children — over politics.

" 'Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy,” Jones explained.

"Virginia’s Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin called the texts “violent, disgusting rhetoric.” . . .

Hilarious: Trump Offered Some Sage Advice for Greta ‘Doom Pixie’ Thunberg After Latest Detainment

RedState

"President Donald Trump offered some hilarious, sage advice for Greta "Doom Pixie" Thunberg (hat tip: RedState's Ward Clark) amid her latest attempt to remain relevant with her Gaza-bound selfie floatilla.

"Speaking to members of the press during an impromptu press gaggle in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump was asked about the Israeli government arresting and deporting activists like Thunberg, who were traveling to Gaza.

" 'Well, she's just a troublemaker," Trump said. "You mean, she's no longer into the environment. She's into this. She's just a troublemaker. She's got an anger management problem."

" 'I think she should see a doctor," he added. "She needs anger…have you ever watched her? She's a young person. She's so angry. She's so crazy. No, you can have her."

"Trump's comments came after Thunberg blasted Israel for treating her harshly while being detained at Ketziot prison, after she was taken into custody on her selfie flotilla, RedState's Original John Doe reported.

"John Doe wrote:

According to The Guardian in its 'exclusive' report, Thunberg accused Israel of detaining her in a cell infested with bed bugs and forcing her to hold flags while her picture was taken. The Guardian admits that the identity of the flags is unknown.

An official with the Swedish Foreign Ministry visited Thunberg in prison. The Guardian claims to have seen an email sent by the Swedish Foreign Ministry to people close to Thunberg. According to the outlet, the email reads: "The embassy has been able to meet with Greta. She informed of dehydration [sic]. She has received insufficient amounts of both water and food. She also stated that she had developed rashes, which she suspects were caused by bedbugs. She spoke of harsh treatment and said she had been sitting for long periods on hard surfaces."

The email continues, "Another detainee reportedly told another embassy that they had seen her [Thunberg] being forced to hold flags while pictures were taken. She wondered whether images of her had been distributed."

Ersin Çelik, another activist from the Global Sumud flotilla, told Turkey's state-run national news agency Anadolu, "They dragged little Greta [Thunberg] by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her, as a warning to others." Lorenzo D'Agostino, a freelance journalist who was part of the Global Sumud  flotilla, told Anadolu that Thunberg was "wrapped in the Israeli flag and paraded like a trophy."

However, Israel's Foreign Ministry hit back at those claims, calling them "brazen lies.". . . .

Jack Smith Spied on 8 GOP Senators, Grassley Reveals

 Catherine Salgado

"Fox News obtained the alarming revelations first, posting on X, “Former Special Counsel Jack Smith was reportedly tracking the private communications and phone calls of nearly a dozen Republican senators as part of his January 6 investigation, FOX News Digital has learned."

FBI/Justice Department special counsel — and unconstitutionally appointed Biden attack dog — Jack Smith tracked the private communications of multiple Republican senators, according to a shocking new allegation.

Smith, whom U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon ruled was unconstitutionally appointed to go after then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, has a myriad of scandals in his past — including accusations of witness payoffs and illegal wiretaps from former Rep. Rick Renzi (R-Ariz.). But this new scandal shows that the scope of Smith’s sketchy activities under the Biden administration was much larger than previously realized.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) posted a partially redacted document on X Monday showing, he said, that the Biden FBI spied on Republican senators in an initiative weaponized by Smith:

"This document shows the Biden FBI spied on 8 of my Republican Senate colleagues during its Arctic Frost investigation into "election conspiracy" Arctic Frost later became Jack Smith's elector case against Trump": Sen. Chuck Grassley
