Woman Allegedly Burned Alive On Train By Illegal Migrant Finally Identified

 DC Enquirer   ["Allegedly?]

One feels for this lady and the children burned alive by Hamas
"Local law enforcement said they finally identified the woman burned alive while riding on a New York City subway car earlier in December, ending days of public speculation.

"Debrina Kawam, a 61-year-old woman from Toms River, New Jersey, is the individual who was burned alive while riding the F train in Brooklyn on the morning of Dec. 21, the New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation. The man charged with the attack is Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, a 33-year old previously deported Guatemalan national who is living in the United States unlawfully.

"After days of law enforcement failing to identify the victim and no apparent family or friends coming forward, some speculated that the victim may have been homeless. The NYPD on Tuesday gave no further details about Kawam beyond her name, age and home address.

"The gruesome details of the attack sparked national media coverage, and once again spotlighted the issue of illegal migrant crime in the U.S.

"Investigators believe Kawam was sleeping on the train when Zapeta walked up to her and used a match to light her clothes on fire, which quickly became fully engulfed in flames. The illegal migrant then allegedly remained on scene, sitting on a bench platform, to watch her die from her injuries.

“As the train pulled into the station, the suspect calmly walked up to the victim who was in a seated position at the end of the subway car,” New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated during a press conference shortly after the incident. “The suspect used what we believe to be a lighter to ignite the victim’s clothing, which became fully engulfed in a matter of seconds.”

"Local police who were on patrol at an upper level of that train station went to investigate after they smelled and saw smoke, according to Tisch, who described the attack  as “one of the most depraved crimes one person could possibly commit” against another human being. Upon their arrival to the scene, officers discovered the victim standing in the train fully engulfed in fire, and made attempts to put the fire out." . . .   More...

Y'All Got Took: There Was Never Going to Be Any 'Rebuilt' Pacific Palisades

 Hot Air

"Those who actually are 'rebuilding their lives' because of the fires are not going to qualify for what is being rebuilt. You just knew."

You knew in your heart of hearts from the very beginning.

"Even as you watched those first flames take the first houses and then leap up through the canyons and down through the hillsides, through the breaks, even jumping PCH to gobble up the houses tucked next to the highway itself - those uniquely SoCal structures sandwiched between the asphalt and that big, blue Pacific surf...you knew.

"You knew would never see it again, for all the gargoyle grin assurances of the mayor who couldn't be bothered to be there when the flames broke out. For all the slickster, huckstering, faux promises of a governor faking phone calls as he skittered like a cockroach from angry, heartbroken residents who only wanted answers.

"You knew.

"You knew when comedian turned prophet Adam Corolla went on an epic rant from a hotel room desk, a fire refugee himself waiting on word whether he had a home or not, telling you then and there if your home was gone, it was gone for good.

"Because Mayor Karen Bass, Governor Gavin Newsom, and the soul-crushing machinery of the State of California had the will and the power to ensure you would never rebuild, one way or the other." . . .

In a self-congratulatory moment, Newsom grandly announced his intentions to bring 'multifamily low-income housing development' to Pacific Palisades, Eaton, and Altadena, creating a more 'resilient and - keyword here - equitable Los Angeles.'

Think of the few beautiful homes that survived the inferno only to sit in this new development, walls covered with graffiti.   More...

Pam Bondi Says She Has ‘Every Intention to Stay and Serve’ Amid MAGA Backlash

RTM

Eric Daugherty
Dan Bongino will RESIGN from the FBI if Pam Bondi refuses to leave the DOJ, per Daily Wire "AG Bondi needs to think about this one, and not put Trump in a bad spot."
Broc Smith
"Attorney General Pam Bondi has stated she has “every intention to stay and serve,” despite widespread reports of internal turmoil surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
"The news follows reports of a heated meeting at the White House involving Bondi, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, FBI Director Kash Patel, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
"During the meeting, tensions reportedly escalated as Bongino and Patel were questioned about a NewsNation story. The article claimed that the FBI sought to release more Epstein-related documents but was blocked by the Department of Justice.
"Bongino denied leaking any information to the press, according to a source familiar with the meeting who spoke to CNN. However, he did not sign a statement included in the article defending the DOJ’s handling of the files.
"While sources say Bongino has not made a final decision, CNN reported he indicated he may resign if Bondi remains in her position.
"CNN also reported that Bongino did not show up to work on Friday, which has fueled speculation about his potential departure. As of Friday afternoon, no formal resignation had been submitted.
"The ongoing dispute has sparked mounting frustration inside and outside the White House.
"Critics have pointed to Bondi’s management of the Epstein documents as a source of controversy, the Conservative Brief reported.
"The files became a political flashpoint after a Department of Justice memo released this week concluded there was no murder, no client list, and no blackmail evidence involving Epstein. The findings have angered many of President Trump’s strongest supporters." . . .

Trump rips MAGA ‘boys’ and ‘gals’ in epic Epstein-gate rant: ‘Let Pam Bondi do her job’   "President urges supporters to unify, saying he doesn’t ‘like what’s happening’" . . .

How the Left Lost Its Collective Mind

 Victor Davis Hanson

. . . "Add it all up, and the impotent Left in all its orthodox and street manifestations has become unhingedAnd why not when it rightly fears that not just its power, but the very sources of its power, are in mortal danger?"

"Across the political Left, from orthodox Democrats to Antifa in the streets, the opposition to President Donald Trump has lost its collective mind.
"The Democrat House minority leader and now self-styled tough guy, New York Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, poses with a baseball bat to show how dangerous he is in opposing President Donald Trump’s budget bill.
"Jeffries harangued Congress for eight hours; New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker went on for 25—both to no effect. The Daily Signal depends on the support of readers like you.
"Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit the rally trail in private jets to rail about oligarchs, omitting that the ultrarich are not only mostly leftists but also the funders of the Democratic Party.
"Sometimes the Democrats in Congress make bizarre videos, featuring profanity like f— or s—. On other occasions, they scream and interrupt Congress.
"Some representatives now confess that they’re being pressured by their constituents to take a bullet for the cause. The racialist Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett—sometimes playing the prep-school prima donna, sometimes modulating her accent to pass as the authentic inner-city activist—gains headlines for monotonously ranting about old white men.
"On left-wing social media, the assassin Luigi Mangione remains a heartthrob for murdering a health care executive, replacing the Tsarnaev brothers as the hot new left-wing killer.
"He, too, might soon end up with a cover photo on Rolling Stone.
"The left-wing internet mob grotesquely claims that children lost to the recent flash flood in Texas deserved their fate.
"They even advance three sick reasons for their ghoulishness. Texas Christians supported the MAGA agenda and thus met a just fate. Or, as red-state Texans, they were deservedly collateral damage to the Department of Government Efficiency’s bureaucratic reductions. Or, as climate denialists would say, the flash flood took righteous revenge on children for their supposed ignorance.
"Add it all up, and there is a sizable leftist “base” that is completely amoral." . . .

Why Dan Bongino should not resign over the Epstein matter

 M.B. Mathews

". . . " I am convinced that the names on the Epstein “client list” are not worth knowing about because their revelation would deeply hurt some innocent people."

"Dan Bongino is among the most honorable of men. I trust his judgment and his political analysis more than I trust most others. His integrity is beyond question. When he says he will do something, it gets done. When he says he will find things out, things will get found out. He is a Godly man of commitment, prayer, and gratitude, and knows from whence comes his faith and grace.

"But on the matter of the Epstein case, I hope and pray he will stand down so as not to jeopardize the Trump Train and MAGA. In American history, we now have the opportunity to change everything for the better. Trump is moving at breakneck speed and has already had one unfortunate defection—Musk. Another defection could hurt the entire country because of the erroneous perception by others that Trump cannot be trusted and that Bongino also flew the coop. But some things are more important than this.

"At this point, I am convinced that the names on the Epstein “client list” are not worth knowing about because their revelation would deeply hurt some innocent people. Insignificant people who were stupid enough to get entangled with Epstein without even violating the law would have families who would be hurt.

"Yes, Epstein and Ghislaine were monsters, but Epstein is dead, whether by his own hand or nefarious means, and Ghislaine is in jail. The story was sensational, and now it’s over. I want desperately for it to be over for the sake of America’s Trump Train. He is doing near-miraculous things for us and for the world, and this matter is not worth jeopardizing that.

"My question for Dan is this: Is it worth it to derail the entire MAGA train just to find out prurient facts about people who don’t matter? How is America helped by more information about these two cretins? These are questions Dan Bongino might do well to ponder, and if I could beg him to stand down, I would, for America’s sake.

"Dan is a pivotal cog in the MAGA wheel. Trump needs him, and Dan is a deep-thinking, sensitive man of honor. His honor will not be sullied should he decide to stay on. He is more valuable inside than out, and I don’t believe the Epstein matter is the hill to die on. I pray Dan will not make it so."
