The Welcome Demise of Climate Change Catastrophism

"The public has grown skeptical, especially when faced with real problems like the cost of living."

 The American Spectator

" . . . that’s a sign that the days of Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth propaganda documentary and John Kerry’s “special presidential envoy for climate” globe-trotting vanity gig are officially over.

Having Solved Climate Change, Greta Thunberg Turns Attention To Middle East Peace

. . . "You thought I could only tackle climate change? How dare you!" Thunberg said as she sternly admonished reporters gathered at an anti-Israel protest in Malmo, Sweden. "Nothing can withstand the onslaught of Greta Thunberg. All those who stand in my path will be destroyed." . . . Babylon Bee

"Is the American Left finally waking up from its decades-long climate catastrophism stupor? For years, climate alarmism has reigned as political catechism: The planet is burning, and only drastic action — deindustrialization, draconian regulation, even ceasing childbearing — could forestall certain apocalypse. Now, at least some signs are emerging that both the broader public and leading liberal voices may be recoiling from the doom and gloom." . . .

". . . "The climate alarm machine — powered by the twin engines of moral panic and groupthink homogeneity — is sputtering. When the public grows skeptical, when billionaire techno-philanthropists question the prevailing consensus, and when supposedly mainstream scientific projections reverse course, that’s a sign that the days of Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth propaganda documentary and John Kerry’s “special presidential envoy for climate” globe-trotting vanity gig are officially over.

"Ultimately, no one stands to benefit more from this incipient trend toward climate sanity than the American people themselves. In an era where optimism can be hard to come by, the professed certitude of imminent environmental apocalypse is pretty much the least helpful thing imaginable. If one is seeking to plant the seeds of hope, nothing could be worse than lecturing to the masses that one is a climate change-“denying” misanthrope if he has the temerity to take his family on an airplane for a nice vacation or — egad! — entertain thoughts of having more children. Even more to the point, given the overwhelming evidence that Americans are now primarily concerned about affordability and the cost of living, more — not less — hydrocarbon extraction has never been more necessary." . . .

Read Derek Chauvin’s New Petition … And Weep For American Justice

Sadly for Officer Chauvin, he has no young Gen Z women adoring him as does Luigi Mangione.

"For Derek Chauvin, it’s a case that tragically has not only ended a career distinguished by multiple commendations, but any prospect of freedom in the near future."

. . . "The conventional conservative pundit play at this point: join calls for the verdict to be vacated and for Chauvin to receive a fair trial with excluded evidence presented to the jury, false statements corrected, and improper expert testimony disallowed.

"But this commentator will instead posit a brutal near-certainty: regardless of the passage of time and the seeming mountain of evidence of Chauvin’s innocence – and even of prosecutorial misconduct – no court will act to vacate his conviction and grant a new trial, or even grant the fallback request of fresh evidentiary hearings.

"Because no judge wants to take on the extraordinary burden of potentially lighting the fuse that ignites a new season of coast-to-coast riots in the name of “attack(ing) some of the core beliefs and structures of cisheteropatriarchal racial capitalist society.”

"In essence, Chauvin – sacrificed on the altar of economic and racial “justice” to appease BLM-inflamed mobs – will remain the victim not of a heckler’s but a hooligans’ veto.

"But even rampaging and plundering may not be necessary. Simply dropping the race card, and thereby creating the prospect of being smeared as bigots in the media, was reportedly sufficient to intimidate Department of Education officials in the selfsame Land of 10,000 Lakes to greenlight continued payments to Somali groups despite the discovery of hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud.

"Any jurist considering providing real justice to the wrongly convicted law enforcement officer will be certain to be the target of bitter invective spewed by professional grifters, accompanied by systematic character assassination via cynical politicians, bought-and-paid-for social media influencers, and lapdog journalists." . . .

How the Left Turned Chauvin Into a Racist Killer  "Although he made up his mind before jury did, President Joe Biden quickly went public once he learned that the Minneapolis jury had, in fact, convicted former police officer Derek Chauvin on all charges.

" 'It was a murder in the full light of day, and it ripped the blinders off for the whole world to see the systemic racism the vice president just referred to — the systemic racism that is a stain on our nation’s soul.” So said the only president to have given a eulogy at the funeral of an Exalted Klan Cyclops, and that just 10 years before Floyd’s death.

"The comments by Biden, endorsed by the media, frame The Overton Window on George Floyd’s death and Derek Chauvin’s verdict. The only acceptable public opinion is that Chauvin intentionally caused Floyd’s death. If proof were needed, former NFL great Brett Favre was tarred and feathered on Twitter for haplessly suggesting otherwise." . . .

"To justify $2 billion of damages and dozens of lives lost, the Democrat-media complex needed a cause as epic as the damage. The State and its allies had to overcharge all four of the officers. They had to turn Chauvin from a veteran cop, who may or may not have made an error of judgment in the final moments of Floyd’s life, into a villain. They had to turn the career criminal George Floyd into a secular saint. And, finally, they had to elevate an unintentional death into a racist murder.  If there was “stain on a nation’s soul,” Joe, it was the trial."

How sad the evil that possessed the ignorant youth and academics in the streets, the evil race hustlers like Maxine Waters, the reprehensible, cowardly press championed by such as Joy Reid and other MSNBC clones; made most manifest by the Democrats in Congress and their tool, Joe Biden. TD

Threatening to Prosecute Your Opponents When They Give Up Power Is a Bad Idea

 Kurt Schlichter

"Maybe we will break apart. It's becoming hard to justify remaining in a country with people who despise us, as well as exploit us. But that's not good."

. . . "All the Democrats out there announcing that as soon as they get power, they're going to use the full weight of government to prosecute anybody who had anything to do with the Donald Trump administration reminds me of a historical analogue. They won't recognize it because most of them don't believe that history started until 1619, or maybe when Barack Obama got elected, and anything occurring before then was just dead white men doing dead white men stuff that doesn't matter. But you know, it totally matters whether they like it or not." . . .

. . . "Yeah, I know, that's crazy talk, which is crazy, and stop being crazy, you crazy guy. But then again, I'm not the one out there threatening to prosecute anybody who participates in any policy that the Democrats don't like. I'm just the guy who notices. Luckily, the Trump administration has noticed too, and it's not playing along. It's not giving in. It's not backing down. Nor should we as citizens play along, give in, or back down. Our enemies are evil, but they're also stupid, and they don't understand human nature, nor do they know history. They somehow think that they can intimidate us and shame us into submission, into giving up our right to participate in our own governance and allowing them to rule over us in perpetuity. That's not going to happen. That's not in the cards. They're playing a very dangerous game.

"Now, Julius Caesar was famously kind to his enemies. He showed mercy to most of the people who opposed him during the Roman Civil War he fought and won. Of course, it was the same people he showed mercy to who ended up stabbing him to death. That's another lesson of history, but one that we need to learn. And when we learn it, it's not going to go well for the enemies who force us to protect ourselves from the oppression they promise to impose upon us.

"But there's hope. It's not too late to not repeat history. I'm just not optimistic that the Left is not so dumb and malicious that it will stumble into a catastrophe.". . .

Pearl Harbor Day From CNN and MS...um....somethingorother

Babylon Bee: CNN Reports On 'Deadly Boat Accident' At Pearl Harbor

"HONOLULU, HI - CNN and other mainstream news outlets are reporting on a "tragic, completely accidental" boating accident at Pearl Harbor. As details still come in, CNN is urging people to not rush to judgment or assign blame until the story goes away in a few days.

:"Such a tragic and completely accidental boating accident," said one news anchor. "The thing that's so sad about it is the tragic, totally random accidentalness of it. Our hearts are with the victims and whatever. Anyway, in other news..."

"Independent journalists from the scene are sending messages that this was an intentional attack by the Empire of Japan that was designed to inflict as much destruction and casualty as possible. Such messages have been dismissed as unfounded and racist, and likely linked to recent increases in anti-Asian hate crimes.

" 'We do not need to investigate this any further, or talk about it ever again, as it was an accident," said the local Police Chief in a press conference. "Any talk of motive is unhelpful at this time. I think what's really important is allowing our Pearl Harbor community to heal."

"CNN then quickly transitioned to a news story about the latest Cary Grant movie."
