Rick Pitino issues direct message to Bad Bunny after Super Bowl LX halftime show

 Daily Express US

"St. John's Red Storm head coach Rick Pitino made his thoughts on Bad Bunny perfectly clear after the Puerto Rican rapper's Super Bowl LX halftime performance."

"After Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime performance, St. John's Red Storm head coach Rick Pitino issued an open invitation to the Puerto Rican artist to catch any of their games.

"This followed the wrap-up of the 2025 NFL season, where the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX, claiming their second championship. Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, commanded the stage at Levi's Stadium with his entirely Spanish-language halftime show after the opening two quarters.

"His performance, however, drew sharp rebuke from U.S. President Donald Trump, though Tom Brady didn't share the President's view. Trump vented his frustration on Truth Social, branding it the worst Super Bowl halftime show ever.

" 'The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!" Trump posted.

"It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn't represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World."

"Despite the criticism, Pitino, who formerly guided the Puerto Rican national team, was genuinely impressed by Bad Bunny’s showing. Rick Pitino turned to X to share his enthusiasm, posting: "As someone who spent time in Puerto Rico as their National Coach, watching Bad Bunny at halftime was awesome. @sanbenito you have a seat on the Johnnies bench anytime. Viva Puerto Rico!" . . .

Nancy Guthrie investigation takes dramatic new focus after missed ransom deadline: Brown bags of 'evidence' and uncomfortable questions close to home

Daily Mail Online

Terrifying masked figure in latex gloves with gun seen on Nancy Guthrie's doorstep on morning of her kidnap | Daily Mail Online

"The nightmarish images were released by the FBI on Tuesday as the hunt for the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie enters its tenth day.

"Clad in a ski mask, the figure was filmed tampering with Nancy's Nest doorbell camera. It is unclear if the figure is male or female, but some images appear to show facial hair above their top lip.

"Nancy did not have a subscription to Nest which would have uploaded the images and saved them to a cloud storage platform. This meant investigators took longer to extract the images from her camera.

"A spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department said: 'As of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door on the morning of her disappearance.'

"FBI Director Kash Patel added that the images showed an 'armed individual' tampering with the cameras.

"What looks like a gun inside a holster appears to be clipped to them, one image shows them with what looks like a penlight in their mouth." . . . More...

People Have a Little Fun With Some Epic Trolling of the Anti-ICE Crew

RedState

"But to be fair, the anti-ICE crew already mock themselves with the silliness of their actions, like their "dildo action" over the weekend at the Whipple building.  They had a ton of dildos they were throwing at agents, sticking to the fences, and even mistakenly attacking the car of one of their own."

"The whole anti-ICE thing is so unhinged.

"Perhaps one of the most twisted things about it is that they think they are on the right side of the equation. They are somehow "fighting fascism" or whatever language they're using this week, because they're attacking ICE. But it's ICE that is enforcing the law enacted by the representatives of the people.

"We wrote about how Blue Lives Matter was trolling them a bit on their accounts, about whether they were calling in false ICE reports.

"There are other people also stepping up to do their part and have a little fun with them.

"Dustin Grage asked the question about the funding the anti-ICE guys were getting because of the supplies they were stocking up on at the Whipple federal building in Minneapolis." . . .

The Story Of The HMS Dreadnought, The British Vessel That Revolutionized Battleship Design

HMS Dreadnought, The Revolutionary British Battleship

"The ship that [British Admiral Sir John]Fisher set out to build would become known as the HMS Dreadnought, a name that came from the saying “dread nought but God.' ”

"Feb. 10, 1906, King Edward VII smashed a bottle of champagne against the bow of the British Navy’s newest warship as a crowd of 60,000 watched. But the bottle didn’t break. It took the king multiple tries to finally shatter the glass, which, perhaps, shouldn’t have been surprising. The newly built HMS Dreadnought was unlike any ship that had ever existed.
"The Dreadnought was not only equipped with a stunning array of high-powered guns. It could not only outrun any other ship on the planet. It had also been built by the British Navy in roughly 12 months.
"World powers across the globe took notice, and the United States, Russia, and France swiftly started building “dreadnoughts” of their own. But the new British warship especially caught the attention of Germany.
"The Germans had long desired to become a world power, and they knew that a strong navy was key. Though the Germans had already started to expand their navy at the turn of the 20th century, the introduction of the HMS Dreadnought put this effort into overdrive. Before long, Germany and Great Britain were engaged in a naval arms race.
"On the eve of World War I, the two countries began to battle for supremacy at sea.
"The Brewing Naval Arms Race Between Great Britain And Germany
"At the turn of the 20th century, both Great Britain and Germany wanted to modernize their navies — although for different reasons.
"For Germany, it was a matter of being taken seriously as an empire. As a relatively new country — Germany had unified in 1871 — the Germans believed that a strong navy was the key to becoming a global power.
"Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz set out to make this dream a reality by building up the German Navy. The Navy Bills of 1898 and 1900 aimed to expand Germany’s network of ships, with the goal of creating a fleet that could stand up to the British. Tirpitz reasoned that if the Imperial German Navy was competitive with the Royal Navy, Great Britain would be more accommodating toward Germany’s ambition to become a world power." . . .
